🌳OakClan - The Resilient and Brave (ACTIVE members needed!)

Heathernose followed behind Icefire, continuing the follow the scent even though she wanted to throw up. When she heard Icefire's gasp, she would dash over, but halt when the horrible scent became even worse. "I-it-is that ravenstep?" she would gasp. Is he the dead animal?

Timberstone glanced around and then gently licked Embersparks' ears. He wasn't too sure yet if he wanted to be open with their relationship- if that's what it was- since it had just begun so he didn't do anything unless no one was around.

Tawnyhaze immediately tensed at the rancid smell that greeted him in the cave and when it's source was discovered, the tom was sick to his stomach.
"What happened to him?" He asked Icefire, coming closer.

(No preference, whatever the leader picks.)

Heathernose was frozen for a moment. "Yes," she stammered, before turning around and running out of the cave back to the camp. She was an average speed runner, but she would try to run at her top speed.

Tawnyhaze stepped up beside the she-cat, hoping he could hold down his prey from earlier.
"Terrible creatures." He growled lowly, looking at the dead warriors body.
"He shouldn't have died like this..."

Icefire felt her eyes welling up and pushed past the other cats.

Tawnyhaze didn't budge when she pushed past him. They needed to stay with the warriors body until the deputy arrived. The tom sat down and curled his tail around his feet. He dropped his head and shoulders in mourning form. He would keep vigil...

Heathernose got to the camp, panting incredibly hard. She scanned the camp for either timberstone or harestar, and was slightly relieved when she saw Timberstone with another she-cat.

"Tinberstone!" she gasped, running towards him. "We think we found Ravenstep's....body."

Emberspark's eyes widened at Heathernose's words. "I'll come with you," she told him.

Icefire sat outside the caves and took a deep breath. She remembered how her and Wolfshadow's father died from a badger attack when he went out to catch some prey. She took another deep breath and scolded herself, knowing she should be taking vigil. She walked back inside and sat next to Tawnyhaze.

Emberspark looked at Timberstone as he spoke to Heather nose. She subtly placed her tail on him for comfort.

Wildmist walked out of the warrior's den. "What did they say?" she asked Blackdawn, clearly distraught.

Timberstone rested his tail on Embersparks' shoulder for a moment in thanks as he waited for Heathernose to reply.

"We-we were searching in the caves, and there was a really awful smell in the cave, it smelt like a dead animal. We kept on looking and Icefire bumped into a dead body. I didn't get a good look at it, but Icefire said it was Ravenstep's body and she told me to get you," Heathernose explained. She was still pretty tired and very shaken.

Heathernose nodded, turned around, and began to trot in the direction of the caves at a very quick pace, despite her low energy. She occasionally looked back to make sure that Timberstone was following.

Emberspark followed, and as Wildmist saw the patrol leave once more, she joined in.
