Mothdapple shook out his fur. "Just enjoying the weather. Say, how about we go hunting? Leaf-bare is approaching, so we should stock up on prey while we can." (I'm going to be getting off for the night but ill be on again sometime tomorrow.) "Thats a good idea." Coonpaw said agreeing with him. I hope we can find some prey she thought looking back up at the sky. "When will we be going?" She asked him with a slight smile. (I'm back) |

"Not really. All I know is that you have to be very quiet and keep still or you can scare the prey away." Coonpaw said looking up at Mothdapple. Standing she spins in a circle to stretch out before she leaves.

Mothdapple nodded, jumping over a thicket to enter the forest. "Very good. With smaller prey, like a mouse, you need to slide your paws instead of step so the mouse doesn't feel your paw steps and run away. And always remember to keep your tail straight so it doesn't stir up any leaves."

(Hi guys!)
Ruewhisker stood in silence for a few moments as if searching for something to say next.
“Do you want to continue hunting or head back?” she meowed abruptly, trying to revert her tone back to its usual hard to read way.
Badgerpaw noticed how worried Fernpaw was, she bounded on a few tail-lengths ahead in a series of exited bounces.
“You’ll be fine! I promise!” she called back to her.

Foxpaw remained silent for a few moments, before taking a quick glance between Honeypaw and Crowpaw. "... Race ya!" He suddenly shouted, and began to bound forwards. Crowpaw as at the back of the group and gave an indignant expression before chasing after him.

Crowpaw had quickly gotten ahead, only for Honeypaw to come up alongside him. Foxpaw squeaked as he found himself in the back and rushed to catch up. Admittedly, he was not the fastest of the group, but he thought a race would be fun. Now to just beat them there!

Mothdapple glanced down at Coonpaw. "The forest can be quite difficult to navigate," he mewed, "but as you age, it'll be easier." Suddenly, he halted, having sensed the presence of a squirrel in front of them. He slowly lowered to the ground and pointed to the squirrel with his paw. "Give it a shot, Coonpaw," he whispered.
Fernpaw bounced ahead, remaining silent. She wondered if her parents thought the same thing. She remembered the sharp yowls of her mother and the panic in her father's mew as he rushed out to save her, only for both of them to be swept up in the current. Fernpaw shivered.

Honeypaw slowly lost her first place from Crowpaw as he caught up to her. She looked behind her to see Foxpaw trailing.

Coonpaw crouched nodding sharply at Mothdapple slowly she slides across the floor keeping what Mothdapple said in mind. Keeping her tail still and judging the distance from where she could jump was proving to be a challange all in itself. Finally getting about half a fox length away she stopped and got ready to pounce. Just a little more strength and I'll have it she thought to herself pushing off and landing on the squirrel killing it with a swift bite to the neck.

Mothdapple grinned and leaped up to the apprentice. His tail brushed Coonpaw's back with a purr of congratulation. "Nice job! With skills like that, you'll be a skilled warrior in no time," he mewed. Using his front paws, he scraped out a shallow hole and nodded at Coonpaw to place the squirrel in so they could collect it later.
(Does anyone have any open characters I can rp with Thistlespots?)

OCC:RP: "Thats great, you'l be a warrior before you know it! You should have seen when Nightglisten was trying to teach me how to defend my self..." She shivered at the thought of trying to defend herself all she could do is dodge from side to side.
"Go ahead and sit down first then open your eyes." Hawk feather said moving to sit beside her as he saw a good wave hit the shore in front of them, it would be a few seconds before the geyser would release the pent up water in a high pressure mist. Honeypaw tilted her head. "Why do you need to know how to fight?" Doeleap sat down, with her eyes shut. She opened her eyes as soon as she felt her tail hit the ground. "Oh wow!" She breathed, staring at the geysers and the ocean. "I've never seen this before," she remarked, not afraid because she knew they were far away.
"In case of an emergency i have to be able to defend myself." She said with a smile and a slight giggle. |

RP: He blinked and cleared his throat, "Sorry if I'm too forward." He turned his gaze to the waves and sunset as the sea breeze went through his fur, he felt like a fool for what he said.

Dropping the squirrel into the hole she started to cover it a bit. "Thank you Mothdapple." Coonpaw said with a small smile. Looking up at the older warrior she finishes covering the prey and sits waiting for more instructions. |

Alright, let's move along," he mewed, softly padding forward. He tasted the air and sense the faint scent of mouse. Flicking his tail to convey the message to Coonpaw, he lowered to the ground and silently crept toward the source of the scent. He spotted the creature sniffing at an acorn. Grinning, he accidentally mis-stepped and a twig snapped underneath his weight. The mouse took off. Mothdapple leaped forward, but came back empty-pawed. After muttering a curse under his breath, he turned to the apprentice. "See? Even old-timers like me aren't the best at hunting at times. I focused too much on fighting during my apprenticeship and I regret it every day." |
