Shiverpelt was shaking visibly, not liking this. She felt as if StarClan was punishing her for abandoning her clan during the badger battle and felt lightheaded. Feeling as if everyone voices were crowding around her she felt a surge of panic and didn't know what to do, and just sat there, shocked and shaking. Riversong stepped up besides the younger she-cat. “Well, well looks like we’ll be traveling soon. We’ll meet a whole other clan!” He said with a dreamy sigh. It was hard to tell if the laid back tom was oblivious to her panic or noticed and chose to act like he didn’t. It was likely the latter. |

Shiverpelt flinched as Riversong's voice was suddenly in her ear and jumped slightly. "Wha?" She muttered, and then shut her mouth, opened it again, and foudn she had nothing to say. She hesitated before simply nodding.

Erminetail padded over to Burntember. “I promise I’ll look after Sparrowpaw” he nodded, his voice low. "Don't worry, at the end of all of this we'll both come home" the white tom wanted to touch his nose to her head in reassurance but felt self conscious with Sparrowpaw and Meltedpaw present.

Badgerstripe sat in silence, her fur beginning to rise as her mind raced. Why me and not Blizzardstorm?, the black and white she-cat was secretly disappointed that the tom wouldn't be joining the journeying cats.

“We will be fine” Erminetail spoke calmly as he nudged cheek her gently, his eyes shining with fondness and warmth. The tom had realised by now that he wanted nothing more than to spend the rest of his life by Burntember’s side, he hoped she felt the same. He knew that he would protect and watch over Burntember’s kit as if she was his own. "I just wish you could come with us" he sighed quietly. "I don't like the thought of being apart from you for so long".

Burntember took a shakey breath. She'd already lost her mate and now she had someone else she wanted to spend her life with. She couldn't lose him too. "I don't like the thought either but..hopefully you'll come back soon," she said, trying to be positive.

RP: Stormcloud nodded to Harestar and smiled, turning to Swanfeather they touched foreheads before separating. Storm cloud padded to the group go other cats that were going on the patrol. HE wasn't overly close to anyone though he did smiled at Tulippw and Cricketpaw saying see ya to them.
Mooneyes beckoned Pinepaw to gather traveling herbs reminding him what they were to consist of before she went to her mentor Nightglisten and greeted him with a nudge to his shoulder. "Be careful old man."

“When we get back I’m sure we’ll have some interesting stories to share” he forced himself to purr. “Will you be okay?” Erminetail murmured, his voice filled with concern. He hated the thought of leaving her. She still has Meltedpaw, he reminded himself, relaxing a little.

Erminetail looked at his paws in frustration. Why wasn't Burntember part of the prophecy too?, he was sad but also secretly glad. At least this way she would be safe. "I wonder why I'm part of the prophecy" he said quietly. He still felt as though it was some sort of mistake, but either way he would go to look out for Sparrowpaw.

Nightglisten stopped walking as he noticed Mooneyes. He wondered if she would ask why he would be leaving his position as well as going on the journey, but didn't say anything about it, besides rolling his eyes at his old apprentice's comment and remarking both sourly and jokingly. "A lovely goodbye, Mooneyes."

(I really liked the idea of him asking her at the mountains but I’m not sure if they’ll get a chance for that D: )
Erminetail felt his heartbeat get faster. “You’re an incredible warrior too, I wish I could have you with me” he looked down at his paws. “I need to ask you something important” he glanced around before slowly heading towards a more quiet spot a few tail lengths away, he could feel his heartbeat ringing in his ears.

Ashtail nodded, still looking uneasy. He'd been gone so long! What would they think of him when he returned to them? What would Lilactail think? And Her sister was Wolfeyes! He snapped out of his thoughts as he began to hear snatches of the conversation around them, talking about the mission. He heard some were fearful, others looked excited, a few, neutral or unreadable. He hoped none would be angry at him for bringing this upon them in some ways. He liked the OakClan cats; he hoped they'd all be safe.

When he was sure no one could over hear them Erminetail halted. “It’s just…I just want you to know…” he shifted on his paws awkwardly. “I really do care about you...” he struggled to word what he was trying to say. “And I know I’d never replace Silentsparrow, that isn’t what I want” he briefly dipped his head respectfully. “But when I get back from this journey all I can see myself doing is being with you” he could feel heat radiating from his pelt as he spoke. "If you don't feel the same I'll respect that" he said solemnly.
