Maybe something that sounds noble? Like... SunClan, or FireClan, or LightningClan?

Sounds good! I'd like you to write at least one good paragraph around the following word:
Sky.
The passage should take place in the Warriors world.

Jas яєɗ We should work out the different traditions and lifestyles of our separate Clans. Of course, they should promote the morals that that particular Clan pushes for. For DarkClan, I'm thinking that as soon as a kit is weaned (that finishes at about two months, from what I understand) they are separated from their mothers and expected to begin learning how to care for themselves. Of course, The Choosers wouldn't pick their Clan until they turned six moons old, but they'd be expected to teach themselves how to live away from their mothers for the four moons in between. Of course, how your Clan handles kits should be different.

For SunClan, I think kits would be raised by the community as a whole; queens nurse kits no matter whose kits they are and the kits grow up as one litter with several different parental figures (biologically they know their parents. The family term stretches to those who really helped raise them in kithood, which isn't necessarily their birth parents). They are weaned at two moons, but they take up little jobs in the Clan when they're four moons old. These can range from helping with the littler kits to helping the newly Chosen inspect prey and take care of the elders. At six moons, the Choosers decide where they truly belong. That sounds like a perfect idea!

Ah, well, I'm not really sure where to go with my Clan. In a similar way, I'd expect the cats to want to help one another out when it comes to kits. However, I feel as though there might be a bit of guilt there that the families experience when accepting the help. The cats wouldn't want to burden the others by needing a lot of help in raising their kits. At least, I think anyway, maybe I'm reading the morals totally wrong?
In either case, I'd probably say that at about 2 / 3 moons, the cats in this Clan would also need to start thinking about how to benefit and help others. These kits would want to strive to be independent so they wouldn't need to burden or rely on others for care.
However, I'm not really sure how to translate these ideas very well. I'm still trying to recover from that long delay and long plane ride. xD

My Prompt: Sky
The light grew dim on the hallow of a camp. Shadows danced around the dens, splays of light patching the ground where the setting sun hit. Ivypelt watched, in awe, as the sky grew darker - she had always loved watching the sky, but there was something different about this night. Cats around here were milling on in their usual business; no one else seemed intrigued by the dappled light or the tall shadows that flickered around camp. Ivypelt was scarcely aware of her brother, Cragstripe, calling her to come sleep - she only gave a nod and a tail flick in response. She padded up to the camp entrance, her footsteps light, her face trained towards the darkening sky. It felt like only moments until the stars came out, flicking and shining in the pitch black night. Staring intently at the little blotches of light, she thought of her mother in StarClan, but the thought was passing, as she was focused on enjoying the night. The cold wind ruffled her long fur, but her thick pelt kept the shivers away. She did not long for company, she did not wish she had friends, a mate, or kin to sit next to her. Ivypelt was content, sitting on the solid ground, her eyes stuck on the glimmering stars, watching the sky.

Jas Maybe when a kit is born they're thrown into a pool of other kits, who are all taken care of by a special rank? Scarpath Looks good! What do you want to call your Clan?

яєɗ The starting point we agreed on was that the Clans split originally because they couldn't agree on how to survive in the harsh desert climate.

aaggghhh. I'm sooo sorry guys! I've been so busy this week. Summer work is catching up with me, but once I finish it soon I'll be free for the next few weeks. (Except next week, I'm at an overnight camp with no technology.)
Any way. So I'm reading through the thread, I'm not seeing a complete resolution to the name of the area the clans would meet and the medicine cats would gather. I do like the use of Palace though. Umm... what else clan names. I think you guys got that down to a science. A+ :) Though one small suggestion would for the fourth clan would be, FoxClan. It's not the original type of foxes but like a Fennec Fox, smaller, nocturnal, in the Sahara. Definitely interesting, though that does give the feel of more sly than smart but, *shrugs* just an idea. Ermmm... next, how exactly will the test go? The one that choses which clan when they reach 6 moons they will enter? How will that work? Will you ask the creator of the cat? Will you have the Choosers watch inside the clans and confer? Or....? (I'm sorry if I'm being pushy. I don't mean to I just want to make you guys think about this kind of stuff to push you forward.)
Anything I can help with I'll try, though I will say my times on forums a brief, so if you need me just like my posts of prod me with a tag.

I'm thinking that the four Clan leaders will also role play the four Choosers. As for how the test works, I'm thinking about that now. And we decided on OwlClan for Clan 4.

Probably something generic like Caregivers? Do you think that should replace the Queen rank entirely?

Ah, all right. That's okay.
That would make sense because they know their clans best. Maybe we could have them put into a mock situation, without them all knowing. You know? Like have some other cats from the other clan attack so then you can learn about kits in both clans. I don't know.
Would you have some cats be Caregivers all the time, like instead of warriors?

Well, I think you read above that kits are just going to be put together and cared for by a special rank. In this case, called Caregivers, so they wouldn't really be getting taken care of by their parents. I feel as though the Queen rank is unneeded for the Clan now.
