Hange straightened up, putting a hand on their hip and waving with the other, squinting at the two unfamiliars who had just appeared from the undergrowth. “Hullo!” they called, flashing a friendly smile as they took a step towards the two...and realized that neither of them were at all human. One seemed like a human-variant, with those ears...the other was a complete anomaly. “And who might you two be...?” they asked, leaning forward to stare directly, and curiously, into Volt’s unfamiliar eyes with their own large, bespectacled ones. They glanced briefly down at Neb, but seemed absorbed in mentally jotting down Volt’s every feature. “New here? Or have we just never met?”

(Hope nobody minds if I switch characters. Maybe I'll bring 7S back in later.)
Just before she could reply back to the others, 7S blinked out.
"I wonder how the others are doing right now? Think we'll ever get to see them again anytime soon?" A new voice chimed up right after the Android vanished as a large beast suddenly appeared, not too far away from the rest of the group.
It resembled a griffin, but instead of the body of a lion, it had the body of a horse. The creature was lazily curled up in a relaxing position, with a pink haired figure sitting propped up against it's flank with his arms resting behind his head. He looked about ready to fall asleep, but when he saw the scenery suddenly switch, his face lit up with excitement and he quickly sat up.
"I'm back! It's been awhile!" Despite his last few rooms having been extremely dangerous, it didn't at all dampen the Servant's feelings on being back in the house. He got to his feet and shook out his fur-trimmed cape, before walking over to the group of other blinkers nearby, waving one arm in a cheerful greeting.
"Yooo!" He didn't recognize any of them, but that didn't bother him in the slightest. Meanwhile, the beast he left behind simply watched after it's Rider with a tired stare, not bothering to follow.

Volt's shoulders tensed as Neb shouted, quickly realizing her questions weren't helping. However, the girl was just venting, not angry at Volt specifically. "Lets just follow the river then. It can't hurt anything." The Tenno's voice was quieter. There was little to lose at this point, and there was no indication that they were under a time restraint. While Volt could sympathize with Neb, this new person was another story. The Tenno met their stare dead-on, the lights on her helmet expressionless. She wasn't entirely sure what to make of them, but something in their gaze reminded her a little too much of the opportunistic Corpus faction --known to dismantle Tenno for experiments. "You can call me Volt." Her tone was suspiciously neutral, keeping her opinions to herself for the moment. "Who are you?" Somewhere nearby Volt heard another voice approach, but for now she stayed facing the person who was getting just a bit too close.

Neb set her gaze to the ground and just nodded in response to Volt, her ears visibly drooping. She took a step back when the person leaned in close to the Tenno, not quite in the mood to deal with eccentricities, but she was curious nonetheless. Another blinker had showed up as well, yet again someone she didn't recognize but at least he seemed to know the House too.
"I'm Nebula Star," she answered. "I'm...an older blinker, but I haven't been here in awhile." Neb rolled her shoulders back, trying to put back on a front now. "And you two?" As she glanced between the newest additions to the group, her eyes fell onto the beast somewhere behind the pink haired boy and she tilted her head, her body leaning slightly to try and gauge what it was from her spot on the riverbank.

[[ Living Room || Arlo || dawn ]] "Yeah..." Arlo trailed off, smiling slightly at the thought of seeing everyone again. "Hopefully," she continued, half-joking, "I imagine they're getting tired of the false alarms though, I can't remember if you were there then but this is the fourth time I've died." The maze, that time Nico'd accidentally stabbed her after they'd been fighting that one blinker, the room were everyone had lost control of their powers- though she only sort of counted that one-, and now this. After the first two times coming back to life she'd started expecting something to happen in her own world. She wasn't quite sure what was going to happen now, but she was glad to be alive and back at the House. Arlo nodded to Rae's questions. "Right. At first I thought it was because I'd found this," she pointed at the arrowhead, "but I think there's more to it. They knew that island was dangerous, but they wanted to go anyway... They just didn't expect me to sneak out of the Brennan's house and get on the boat with them. Whatever they were looking for, I think they were close to finding it."
Four times. "I mean, I knew some happened, but y'know, Kaia never did like to go into detail..." her voice trailed off slightly and Rae shook her head. "Well, a false alarm is better than it being the final one," she added. Though she could imagine it'd make others wary of getting close again in fear of the next time... Though at this moment Rae was just glad to see her back.
She straightened up as Arlo continued, sitting up on her knees and taking a moment to think over what was being said. "Did you ever learn who were responsible for that? If you follow your parents' research and find what they were after, you could end up crossing paths with the ones who killed them." It sounded really dangerous and Rae fidgeted her hands together. "I know you've probably just been through the worst thing that can happen, but...you'll be careful, right?"

The Servant came to a stop a few feet away from others, his pink eyes taking each of them in with curiosity. One was a normal human from all appearances, with no sign of magic in them. Another was a weird, metallic looking humanoid. Some kind of Golem maybe?
He paused for a second when his gaze met with Nebula, his smile fading somewhat as if he recognized her from somewhere.
Was that...?
Those pointed ears and dark hair, along with the dark energy radiating from her...
No... This girl's shade of hair was indigo, not black. Plus her eyes weren't silver. Then she introduced herself, which fully put his worry to rest when it wasn't the name he'd been thinking of.
"Nice to meet you, Nebula!" His cheerful grin returned to his face as he introduced himself back. "I'm Astolfo! One of the Twelve Paladins of Charlemagne!" Even if it was kinda pointless to add that last part in when no one here ever knew who he was talking about, he did it anyway. That was just a habit that he wasn't going to break anytime soon.
The other blinker began peeking around him, no doubt trying to get a better glance at Hippogriff. "Pretty cool right? He's one of the only members of his kind out there, A Hippogriff!" As if by an unseen cue, the winged steed got to it's feet and began to slowly wonder over. "At least I think he is anyway, I've never seen any others besides him." Astolfo proudly crossed his arms and puffed out his chest, only for his moment to be ruined by Hippogriff coming up behind him and deciding to drop it's heavy head on top of it's master's, using him as it's personal neckrest.

"No, she didn't..." Kaia. How long had in been now? Between living on the island and blinking into the House it had always been hard to keep track of time, but it felt like it had been so long since she'd seen the Guardian... She missed her. "Yeah, I guess you're right. Hopefully it won't happen again though."
"I don't know exactly who they were..." She started, tilting her head slightly, her gaze drifting down to the locket she was holding. "But there's an organization on the island that's been capturing magic users, and I've got a feeling they worked for them." She nodded hesitantly. It was highly likely that she would run into them at some point- very possibly on purpose- but she didn't want to worry Rae any more. "I...I'll try. Don't worry."

“Nebula Star and...Volt,” they repeated slowly, stumbling a little over the pronounciation of such unusual names. Then, they sank into a half-bow, formally greeting the two. “Hange Zoe, at your service.” They hadn’t failed to notice that Volt hadn’t revealed whether or not she was a newbie. An interesting omission. Then, they straightened up again, and flashed a broad grin at their two new, intriguing companions. “Well! It’s very nice to meet the both of you - may I ask, what have you encountered so far in this room? Anything unusual?”

Volt dipped her head in greeting. She was still a tad wary, but for the moment this person simply seemed curious, not malicious. "We had..." The Tenno started, then suddenly paused. "Hold on." In between trying to now keep tabs on two different conversations, Volt had momentarily lost focus on the rest of the room. Hange Zoe's question brought her attention back to the situation at hand though, and she came alert, stepping to the side momentarily to cast a quick glance around. "Neb." She raised her voice a bit to grab the girl's attention. "Where's the wolf?" The wounded creature was no longer nearby. Volt could see footprints in the mud along the riverbank, but they ended rather abruptly at the water's edge. She was certain it hadn't fallen into the water... had it? "We have been randomly attacked by wolves." Volt's head turned back to Hange, filling them in. "We managed to capture one alive, and it was here just a moment ago. We thought it might lead us to the exit." Well, The Doctor had thought that, but now she was gone.

Neb nodded in response to Astolfo's introduction. "That sounds like an important position," she added with a curious look, though quirked an eyebrow at Cultist's remark. Her eyes widened then, not in fright but more in awe, as the creature lumbered over. "He's amazing," she said. She'd heard of mythical history in her own world of hippogriffs, but had never encountered anything like it before.
The second conversation eased its way back to her thoughts when Volt called to her, and she tilted her head back to Hange and the Tenno. She opened her mouth and then stopped short. Where was the-- She swung around, throwing her cape back over her shoulders when it tried to cling to her frame, and stared for a moment. The river was empty.
"Wh-wait-- What?" She stepped down the bank just short of the water where it began to lap at her boots and she cast her gaze from one end to the other. She was actually dumbfounded, her voice seeming to become stuck as she fought against her brain to form words. "How-- I... Excuse me?!"

"Yup! Important enough that we ended up in stories still told over a thousand years later." After responding to Neb, Astolfo shot a pouty glare up at Hippogriff and pushed it's head off of him, causing the creature to let out a low squawk. "That's the second time you've ruined me trying to look cool here! And you weren't even around for the first..."
One could tell from the Phantasmal Beast's expression that it didn't care in the slightest about the accusations being thrown at it. Instead, it began absently looking around the the forest around it, completely ignoring it's Master like he wasn't there.
"Uhh, Yeah?" A new voice drew Astolfo's attention away from his mount, and he turned to see a blinker he hadn't noticed was there before. 'Only twelve'? What'd they mean by that? That was quite a few when each of them was super powerful.
If their words alone hadn't been enough of a warning, everything about this person, from bird mask to blue robes, screamed 'weirdo'. They gave the Servant a bit of the creeps, but of course, with Astolfo being Astolfo, that didn't deter him from engaging in conversation with the stranger. Rubbing the back of his head awkwardly from the mention of corpses, "R-really? That's, umm... a good thing, right?"
A tinge of concern crept up Astolfo's spine when he picked up the words 'randomly attacked by wolves'. Not for himself obviously, but the others. Suddenly, a realization hit him. "You guys caught a wolf? It didn't happen to be invisible and have glowing eyes did it?" There was no way this was that same room again, was it?

“Wolves?” Hange glanced around, almost expecting to see the lumbering beast somewhere near the two blinkers. “I hope you didn’t damage it too dramatically,” they added, scratching their head. “I am rather fond of dogs.” They opened their mouth as if to add something more, but stopped abruptly, noticing Neb’s odd behavior as she wandered away from the group. Their sharp eyes scanned her in an instant, and they took a step forward, momentarily distracted from Volt’s appearance. “Little girl...Nebula Star, are you alright?” they asked, tilting their head.

“It can’t have gotten far.” Concern tinged Volt’s tone. She hated actually caring about the creature, but she also felt partially responsible for it. Plus drowning was a horrific way to die. She looked about ready to take off down the riverbank before the pink haired paladin’s question made her pause for a moment and then Hange added their own. “I... no? This one was visible.” Volt replied to Astolfo. “If its eyes ever glowed, I didn’t see that.” Hange’s statement was a little more tricky. “It’s blind now.” The Tenno replied, her voice flat. “So if it went into the river, it’s in danger.” The one good thing was if Hange loved wolves, then maybe they would be willing to go in after it. Volt might be feeling bad for it but not quite enough to personally enter the water to save it, yet. There was no indication it had even been swept away, except for the paw prints. “You said we should go downriver anyways,” Volt said to Neb, turning to head parallel to the river. A couple of sparks jumped around the Tenno’s feet. “How fast can you move?”

If what Volt said was the case, then these probably weren't the same wolves as before. Astolfo still felt a bit unsure about the situation, but when he saw how worried about the missing canine the group was, he pushed those feelings out of his mind and decided on his next course of action with no hesitation.
"Let me help too!" The Paladin hummed as Neb and Volt got ready to start searching the river. He put a finger to his lips and let out a whistle. Hippogriff, who had wondered off to take a few swigs of water from the bank, galloped to it's Rider's side at full attention, discarding it's aloof persona for the moment. Swiftly hoping on his mount's back, "Leave searching from the air to me!" The Paladin called, grinning confidently and giving his steed a few rough pats on the head. "This guy can move as fast as an arrow when he flies! We'll be more useful up there then down here."

Volt paused before turning to Neb to make sure she heard the girl correctly. Neb’s face was serious though, so the Tenno just nodded. She turned so that she was addressing both Astolfo, his mount, and Neb. Time was of the essence. “Shout if you see it.” Electric sparks kicked up around the Tenno’s feet, and she shot off through the woods.

“Excellent,” said Hange, straightening up as the two blinkers revealed their powers. “If the wolf did indeed fall into the water, then time is of the essence - I suggest we each use our fastest modes of transportation, keeping in mind that we should be scanning the riverbank at all times.” Were they worried about the wolf? Not particularly...it was difficult to get attached to people or things at this point in their life. Their world was...violent. One had to accept the end, or they would probably go insane. But, that didn’t mean they weren’t willing to try and save the poor creature. They just...weren’t going to get their hopes up. “See you two on the other side,” they said, offering them a grin and a salute. And with that, they cannonballed straight into the river, and was almost immediately swept quickly away by the current. Well, they’d said to use their fastest available modes of transportation, hadn’t they?

Neb gave a nod at Astolfo. "That'd be great," she said. So at least she wouldn't have to worry about that part. She just had to focus now. It was sort of weird, though, that they were all gathering like this over a wolf that may not have any bearing on the room's exit, but Neb would still feel bad if they din't at least do something.
Neb's eyebrows twitched up when Volt took off like lightning and she watched the other alien go before glancing at the others. "I--" and Hange just...did that. Hopefully they knew how to swim. "With any luck we'll be out of here by the end of this," she said, half muttering it to herself as well.
Smokey energy then encased her body, and in a quick flash Neb vanished from her spot and appeared, as she had said, roughly one hundred yards from where everyone had been standing. And then again. And again. She used the few seconds between her ports to scan the river and surrounding bed before moving on. The water seemed to be getting harsher the further she went, and Neb was really beginning to just assume the wolf had been lost after all. The river was widening as well, she noticed, and after teleporing a few more feet off the ground in her next spot she could see the start of a lake nearing as the forest gradually receded from the riverbank.

"Let's go!" Astolfo tapped Hippogriff's sides with his heels and it lept into the air with a powerful flap of its wings. The pair didn't go too far into the sky, gliding about twenty feet above the treetops. Both paladin and beast scanned the visible ground around the river banks, trying their best to spot anything resembling a hopefully not drowning wolf.
After awhile the sea of trees below gave way into a large lake, the air growing colder and the wind stronger. Not that this was an issue of course, since Astolfo was unaffected by temperature shifts. "Oh no. I hope that poor thing wasn't swept out there..." There had been no sign of anything having left the river the entire way over. Either they had been wrong all along about the wolf falling in, or it was somewhere in that lake by now. Hippogriff picked up speed and began circling the area, its Rider bearing a pensive expression as he tried in vain to find something.

Volt's speed slowed for a moment as she heard a splashing sound. Veering a little closer to the shoreline, the Tenno almost stopped in surprise as Hange suddenly floated by. It seems her initial insight had been correct: the human was a little crazy. But, apparently, not in a bad way. Still though, this was not the wolf. There were no signs of the creature at all, no marks on the shoreline of a struggle to escape the water, no fur caught on rocks in the center. She spotted a glowing something snaking through the trees at the command of the Cultist, apparently his method of searching. However, the Tenno was beginning to wonder if Neb had been more correct about the creatures being house-created than they had all realized and if the wolf had simply ceased to exist. Volt skidded to an abrupt halt as Neb materialized almost directly in front of her, almost as if the thought of the girl had summoned her. She had a rather worried look on her face, the Tenno realized. "Anything?" Movement above caught her attention briefly, and through the patchy leave cover she spotted Astolfo on his hipp- what had he called it? Winged creature. They didn't seem to have had any luck either.

[[ Living Room || Arlo || dawn ]] Arlo nodded, both to Rae's comment about her being able to take care of herself and about the island. "Yep. It's been a bit longer for you than me though, I guess it's been... a bit over a year in my world since you stopped blinking?" She couldn't remember exactly, but it had been awhile. "Well..." She paused for a moment, probably trying to decide where to start. When she did start she'd skipped over anything that had actually happened on the island. "After I got off the island I found my way back to my old House like I said. We had a room hidden behind a bookcase where all the important stuff was but I'd wanted to walk around the place one more time and I heard someone else come in when I was looking around my old room. I couldn't get the door to close right when I got there and Jasper noticed it... his father was a friend of my family's and he was with us when we went to the island. Apparently Jasper thought there might be something in the house that would give him an idea of what happened to us..." She sighed and shook her head. "I tried to to make him leave and told him not to get involved, he didn't want to listen annd then the house caught on fire, so I ended up having to go get the stuff out of the secret room with him. As you can probably guess that just made him more determined to find out what happened and pretty much ruined any chance I had at getting him to leave it alone. I stayed at his place for a while trying to figure things out and put together some kind of plan." Another pause. She was frowning slightly and glaring at her necklace now. "I didn't want him to get involved in whatever this is, but I realized I was going to need a way back to the island and it didn't make sense to drag someone else into this mess. He probably would've ignored my warnings and got himself killed somehow if he'd stayed behind when I went to the island anyway." Her tone changed, seeming a bit uncertain as she thought about what had happened in her world before she'd blinked. "I'm not entirely sure where to go from here, but I have some ideas at least."

mintedstar/fur Steve turned back to see the little boy that seemed to be so enamored with the idea of the trashcan lid. Although Steve couldn't deny it had served as a pretty good shield, and he'd used trash can lids in such a way before, it was just as gross and dirty as the next one, and here this kid was, looking at it like it was some kind of treasure. Then again he'd begun to realize it may have been possible that there were people coming here from different time periods, which seemed to be supported both by what Loki and what this kid were both wearing. The idea of people coming from the past was... well, amusing, but terrifying. Yet it was harmless to let the kid play with it, until... "Hey! Hey kid!" He lunged forward, wheezing a bit as he did so, then put his hand on the kid's shoulder. "No, I... I didn't make this, but... kid, you can't lick it. You don't want to end up in the hospital with anything too nasty. Believe me, I know." He met the kid's gaze, hoping he understood. "This thing... it's touched some nasty stuff. You know, the sort of things you throw away when you're done with a meal but you haven't eaten everything on the plate? That and probably things that have gone bad... you can play with it, but don't put it in your mouth. Please." "Hos-spital?" wondered Myrnin, looking up at Steve. "Is that a sorta play you spit in?" He apparently didn't get it, but the taste in his mouth was enough to get him to spit a couple times (on the trashcan lid) and then wipe his nose with a sleeve that was far dirtier than the lid had been. Then he looked up and grinned at Steve. One of his teeth was missing, but it didn't seem to slow him down. His head tilted and seemed rather shocked at the suggestion that someone wouldn't eat everything on a plate. Or that things could be left long enough to go bad. He didn't look it because of the rags, but he was rather skinny. "Who are you?" he questioned. "You know, like where you go when you get sick and need to get better?" Steve was all too familiar with hospitals, having spent a great deal of time in them. Based on the thin appearance of this kid he had figured he was probably a frequent visitor as well. "You don't spit in them, most of time." He chuckled to himself at that idea. "Where are you from that you've never heard of a hospital?" He doubted the kid was pulling any sort of joke on him, but who knew? Maybe this was all some sort of elaborate prank pulled by Bucky or someone else. "The name's Steve Rogers," Steve replied, sticking out his hand to shake. "Who are you?"

He seemed ever so slightly nervous at the suggestion that someone would. "The demons possess you wherever you are so why would you go somewhere?" His eyes shifted worriedly, remembering his father. He was so used to blinkers in the Paradox House not having a clue about who he was that the idea that this man might figure it out just from a couple of questions unnerved him. At least the question about his location was a bit safer ground. "Wales ... a village in Wales." He looked at the hand blankly for several long seconds than remembered what Sherlock had said about it being a modern gesture of hello. He brightened. He knew how to do this! He took Steve's hand in both of his own and started to pump it up and down excitedly, not letting go as he answered the question. "I'm M - Amico! I'm Amico. Who are you?"
