[[ Living Room || Arlo || dawn ]] "No, we didn't. For awhile it seemed like I was never in the House for more than a couple minutes." Arlo still had no idea why the House had done that. "Hopefully I'll start blinking in more again." She paused then let out a short laugh which turned into a cough and added, "Not as much as before the crash though- I was coming here every few seconds for awhile."At Rae's question, Arlo hesitated, not because it bothered her, but because it had been so long since they'd spoken that she couldn't remember what Rae already knew. "You remember how I said I lived on an island and there was no way to leave? Well, I did..." This was about where she would normally start twisting a bit of energy around her hands but since she didn't really have enough to that she just rolled the cord of her locket between her fingers. "I went and found my old house, found some of my parents' research, ran into Jasper... and then I ended up coming back."

Okay, The Doctor did not like where Ononoki was going with that, but sadly she couldn't help but think it was a option. Neb's words about these being House creations still didn't sit right with her. Not because they were made at all, but the other effects it might have on those who turned up here. This whole place seemed like ... it was wrong. It wasn't easy for her to describe yet, but there was something off and the problem was she wasn't sure if she'd be able to solve it. Which left, she supposed, learning about things fast. That was fine by her. She was already just a bit more than curious. "I see," she said to Neb. But she wasn't too sure. "Any themes? Ideas? Theories? I'm curious about all of it. Whatever ya know." Volt was right about her gravitating in the direction of trying to take charge. But she was inexperienced in this territory and questions were the things keeping her going. Taking charge only worked with experience and so far, The Doctor was a bit lacking in this setting.

(YESsss Welcome back, Echo ) dawn Razzle Dazzle mintedstar/fur"You have a point," Volt commented to Ononoki, putting a hand to her "chin" in thought. "Everything here could have been taken from another dimension. Except the way out, since that has to be localized, right? We are looking for what doesn't belong." The Tenno glanced sideways, then took a couple of quick steps to get out of the way as Neb's form suddenly expanded, transforming back into the large, armored creature that had come down out of the tree. Not under threat of attack this time, she didn't try to hide a curious stare. Neb's new form seemed to be made only out of dense smoke but, judging by the footprints it left behind, was in reality as formidable as it had first appeared. In an odd way it sort of resembled one of the bulkier variants of Tenno. "You keep saying that." Volt replied to Neb. She picked her way through the undergrowth and fell into step slightly behind the Doctor and Ononoki, if only to keep from getting smacked by the branches Neb's broad shoulders pushed aside. ""The House does this." Do you mean to say this entire dimension is self-aware?"

Ononoki trailed after The Doctor and, on the way, glanced to the side where Neb was transforming to carry the wolf. She inspected Neb in that brief moment, referencing what she saw against the vast library of oddities she knew. Since meeting Rowlin, she was noting as many varieties of powers and creatures as she could. But it was becoming a more personal endeavor than something to report back to Kagenui. "It is either sentient, or algorithmic," the doll girl murmured in monotone. It was meant as a reply to Volt, even though she gave no body language cues that that was the case. A breeze was caught in the trees that made her pigtails flutter, and she looked ahead as she walked robotically forward. Even those subtle signs--a breeze suggesting that the air in front of them continued on--could be read as them being beckoned onward.

mintedstar/fur »ƑαƖcση Razzle Dazzle"Lots of theories," Neb answered the Doctor, "when I was younger here sometimes the other blinkers and me thought this whole thing was some kind of test. Some believe it's a way to bring people together, for one reason or another." She marched on, glad her facial expressions were hidden while in this form. "But I don't know. It'd probably be better to ask people who have been here more recently. Things change a lot."
Her head angled a bit in Volt's direction as she shrugged through the clingy ferns. Ononoki beat her first though, and Neb concurred. "That's actually right," she said. "The House, through my entire experience with it, has proven to have some kind of sentience. It left us a message one time, wrote on the walls to communicate. I wouldn't have really believed it either if I wasn't there to see it myself."

You "blink" characters into existence by simply having them appear in a room and be as confused as they would canonically lol. Any questions they have can be answered by the characters already there, and any questions ooc can be answered by us! )

There was no way for The Doctor to know one way or the other whether this place was sentient or not. Perhaps Neb was right. She did have more experience. So, for the time being, she believed what she was saying and would consider this place alive. It was by no means the first time, nor the last that she had been faced with such things. "Is it still alive?" she asked Neb, looking back at her and the wolf, not slowing her walking pace but concerned nonetheless. It seemed like there might be an important reason for it, but she wasn't sure. The path they'd taken was easy to follow and finally, as The Doctor looked ahead again, they came out on the same small trail that looked like it had been formed by animals. But as had been stated, unless the wolf-creatures had made this trail, there were no other visible animals here. The Doctor waited for everyone to catch up before she asked, "We were heading that way." She pointed. "And I can hear water that way." She pointed a bit off-trail. "Suggestions?" She glanced at Ononoki, keeping an eye on her in case she decided to walk off.

(sounds good! It's actually a great time, several of us just brought in newbies so they are getting the rundown from one of our veteran characters. The room is a (Slightly?) magical forest. There are large twisted trees, various kinds of ground plants (ferns, shrubs, etc) that seem to like to gently wind around people that touch them, and hostile wolves that attack on sight. Currently, The Doctor, Ononoki, Volt, and Neb are trying to figure a way out. They've managed to incapacitate a wolf and are carrying it along with them in case it becomes important. )

(hey welcome to tph!) Neb glanced down at the creature, carefully studying it. "Well, it's breathing." She came to a stop when the Doctor did and bent down to set the wolf on the ground. There were a few subtle paw twitches and Neb thought she'd seen its lips draw up, but she couldn't say for sure. If only she was a healer, though maybe not if it just gave it too much energy to attack again.
She glanced up, gesturing her body akin to a shrug. "Finding the water first wouldn't be a bad idea," she said. "Aren't you supposed to follow rivers when lost?" Was it upstream or downstream was her next question, but they could figure that out if they decided to go for it.

"I'm not sure," said Myrnin, looking over the large expanse of grass that really didn't contain much of anything. If they were in the forest, Myrnin knew several things they could have done for a game. He bounced on his heals, thinking about it, but still pretty unsure. What could they do ... what could they do ...? He looked over at the containers of water and then looked back at Sherlock, tilting his head. "Maybe we could do something with those? I'm not really sure." He'd never really had to come up with an idea for two players before. It was always just him playing or anyone he made up to do something. But the latter part didn't count. He wasn't at all sure how to play in a team and certainly not make up something they could both do. His face was a small mask of panic as he looked up at Sherlock, knowing that he was being a bother but not sure how not to be. (Sorry for the wait! ) Sherlock considered the toy in his hand for a few minutes, racking his brains to come up with a game that wasn’t competitive It was surprisingly hard to do. See who had better aim? Another fight chasing each other around? Everything he could think of involved playing against the other person. A quick glance at Myrnin’s barely masked panic told him that wasn’t going to fly, though. The kid clearly didn’t know how to play with someone else, instead of by himself or with imaginary players. “Yeah, me neither.” He said dismissively, and tossed the water gun over his shoulder as though he’d suddenly lost all interest in it. “Wanna go see what else this room has to offer?” (You're fine Hawk. <3 ) "Sure!" said Myrnin, brightening. He dropped his own water gun back in the water and trotted off in a random direction. There was just a lot of grass so far, but who knew what else was out there? "Do you live with a lotta grass?" asked Myrnin, looking back at Sherlock. "I have a bit. That's where the sheep graze." His face fell. "Or they did." But he brightened a bit later and looked back at Sherlock. "What's your home like? Is it cool? Like it? Ask me questions?" (Sorry it's short.

(Poof!Crazy cult leader!)
The Lunatic Cultist looked around at the place he had just appeared in.Just a few seconds ago he was fighting a nosy(And quite annoying)Terrarian. Now he was in some room with strange plants growing everywhere."Where am I?The underground jungle?"He never liked being underground. It was too easy to get caught in corners. Not that it was any issue for him but he didn't like the feeling all the same.

(also HᥲꙆƒꙆɩɠᖾt absolutely! the more the merrier ) "Well, you're the only one we got right now unless someone else shows up," Volt replied to Neb, not unkindly. Again, she was currently their best source of information. "That's strange though. Could it be an AI?" The fact that the House could potentially be listening and fully capable of answering was unnerving. If it truly was sentient, it held every answer these people has been seeking, yet chose to stay quiet. The Tenno looked over as The Doctor asked about the wolf, mildly surprised its status hadn't changed --for better or worse. Maybe it wasn't actually a real creature, like Neb had first claimed. "Do we consider this being "lost?"" Volt asked. Technically they knew where they were, right?
She turned abruptly as a voice started speaking behind her, finding herself facing a indigo-robed person with a... long white bird mask? At a glance, the Tenno couldn't tell if there was a human beneath the attire or if this individual was something completely different.

Ononoki turned her head slightly in The Doctor's direction, as if to signal her that she wouldn't be walking away from the group on a whim again. She stayed close, and would have seemed like a child to a parent if not for her ominous air. When someone else blinked in, the doll girl turned her body slightly to see. Whether she was looking at him or though him it was unclear, but she stared intently for just a moment in order to assess the newcomer. "Welcome back," she murmured in monotone to him. She was assuming, of course, that he had been here before. She continued walking because The Doctor didn't stop either, and now she was eerily moving without looking where she was going again.

Cultist looked at the group of....things in front of him."Tell me,what is this room you speak of?It looks like a minature jungle"He spat out the word with undisguised disgust. The jungle where he was from was a breeding ground for useless things.Monsters and oversized turtles trying to kill you.

The Doctor hadn't been expecting someone else to appear, but she didn't jump. Instead, her constant look of surprised wonder just turned, directed at this newly appeared 'blinker'. The word 'blinker' was still unfamiliar to her, but at least it was useful when she wasn't sure where to say 'human' or 'people' or not. Unlike Ononoki, she recognized him as someone who hadn't been here before. She'd felt that confused just a few hours ago, so of course she could pick it up from others. "'fraid not!" she said, thought from the distaste in his voice he probably hadn't been hoping to end up in that jungle he'd mentioned anyway. "This is somethin' called 'The Paradox House'. Don't know much about myself yet. Just learnin'. It's a forest right now and that's Ononoki." She nodded at the blue haired girl. "That's Nebula Star." Here she indicated the large, bulkly form Neb currently was taking on, in time for her to revert back to the purple-haired, fanged version which she'd used more. "Volt," she nodded at the Tenno. "And I'm The Doctor." She dipped her head. Then she looked at the wolf-creature, who's wings were sprawled out. It was still twitching a bit. "Oh ye. And a wolf." She then looked at Neb, expecting her to do the better version of an introduction, since she'd been here longer, but still pointed out, "Ya right about the water. We should head that way."

"'A pulled muscle from tripping on debris', huh? You're a terrible liar, you know." 7S sighed as she tended to the younger model sitting next to her, in her room. He had returned to the base with the motor functions in his right leg acting up, which she was trying to fix so they wouldn't have to bother the maintenance department. "Damage like this only comes from engaging with enemies, which for the tenth time, you are supposed to avoid."
There was also the fact that if the higher ups found out 6S was deliberately putting himself in harms way again, he'd be forbidden from returning to Earth anytime soon.
"There. If I catch you trying to sneak back on board hurt like this again, You won't be getting any more battle data from me for the rest of the month!" Her words were meant to be tough, but there was the audible hint of worry behind them.
When 6S and the room around her were suddenly replaced with the humidity of an unknown forest, 7S' previously softened demeanor quickly returned to it's normal state, although she did give a small smile. "It's been awhile, House! What do I get to see this time?"
