So pretty much the same deal, Neb noted as Enjolras explained. Her eyes began to narrow as the man spoke, though. "We don't control that," she started. She looked to Shilo, almost in surprise, but it sounded a lot like who she used to know. Without pause, Neb quickly stepped in front of Shilo to shield her at the threat, also standing close enough to Enjolras. "I wouldn't do that," she warned, voice steady. She didn't know if she should take his words seriously or not. It could be a bluff, but it wasn't worth it to take a chance. "The House controls how you come and go, it isn't something anyone here can do." Neb spoke calmly, her gaze not once leaving the man. She held one arm in front of Shilo, and the other was just hidden behind her hip, her fist tightening slightly as her powers danced across her fingers.

Winter Lodge - Mini Arlo, Kid, Elliot : --cato phoenix mintedstar/fur Walking up towards a nearby tree, Elliot reached out to feet the bark. It was impressive to feel the chipped cold bark. "Yes." His head turned towards Arlo, "They can travel between worlds but the means have yet to revealed. My Vilkas has yet to demonstrate such a possibility, either because she is young or away from her pack." He stepped away from the tree now, rubbing his fingers together as he had collected some sap. "Mine is of snow origin, she's pure white with the exception of her blue eyes. Vilkas overall are hard to encounter, but snow vilkas are considered impossible since they are located in areas where inhabitants are unable to bear the cold extreme climates." He knelt down once again to reach for some more snow, at the same time to force the sap off his fingers via snow. "If by chance I can bring my Vilkas with me, would you like to ride her?" He couldn't help but slightly smile. There was something about these two: kid and Arlo, that reminded him of the times he would spend with the children in the secluded villages. Of course those times were very different before the King's sudden death, but they were plesant and less demanding times. Furthermore, these two didn't seem like Vilkas hunters, their interest and curiosity brought on a different atmosphere then he was used to. Even if this moment is brief, I feel relieved... to not be watched at every single moment.

He paused from counting, bursting into a fit of laughter. He crouched in front of Shilo with an amused smirk. "Well, aren't you a feisty little tyke?" He commented, "Why don't you go play with your toys while the adults talk, huh?" His smirk vanished when he raised his gaze to Neb and Enjolras shielding the child. "Whoa, there. Sorry, I don't go around fighting women. I'm not that kind of guy." He shrugged, before mulling over their explanation. "So, you're kinda trapped here while the boss of this place does whatever they want with you?"

The six year old watched as the two adults crowded around her to protect her from the man. Of course, she felt a bit patronized, but she understood why they would. She was a child, and despite the fact that she was technically armed, she really didn't know how to defend herself. Speaking of patronizing, Greed addressed her directly, even getting down to her level. Shilo's eyes narrowed into a glare and she pulled one of her knives out. "Can I play with you?" She asked, her voice cute, though still holding the sassy undertones to let him know it was sort of a threat. Of course, she probably didn't look very intimidating with her bandaged, bleeding hands. Or...the fact she was barely three feet tall...or... the fact she was actually adorable...

Winter Lodge -- Arlo, Elliot, Kid -- --cato phoenix Auransky(I lied. I should be in bed, but here's a reply. @.@ ) Kid was impressed. He didn't really have an idea what a Vilkas looked like, though he was trying to think dog-like. But hearing about another creature from universe. It was pretty clear Elliot cared about his Vilkas as well. His eyes widened slightly at the suggestion, then laughed. "I'd be impressed if she is brought in, but if she is once, I am sure she would be again. Possibly. It isn't unusual for people from the same world to come into the House." He looked around at the snow, remembering how Elliot had reached down into the snow and flung some into the air. He felt in mild high spirits himself, so he reached down, innocently packing snow between his stiff and now cold hands. He said as he did so, to distract from what he was doing (though he didn't meant to be effective at it. He wanted Arlo and Elliot to notice), "She would probably find the Lodge very -" Before he said 'fun', he was already tossing the snowball at Arlo. "Catch," he said, though he'd been aiming for her shoulder.

Wow, this group was quite the sour bunch. His eyebrows knitted together, baffled. "Its own conscience?" He echoed in confusion as he stood up and straightened his posture, glancing at Enjolras, then Neb. A powerful house with a personality and the ability to control other worlds? An excited grin spread across his features. He wanted it, that kind of power. Before he could question them any further, Greed's gaze dipped to Shilo, briefly surprised when she pulled a knife out. "Don't you have any normal toys, kiddo?" He asked before his confidence returned. "Alright, you know what? Uncle Greed is gonna show you a cool magic trick of his, so go on, hit me."

"Nope." Shilo responded with a small smirk. They'd all been taken from her. Her father had burned them in the back, of course she had helped despite not wanting to. Not that she really had a choice. When the man spoke about magic, the child perked up, excited. Then he told her to hit him. She didn't even hesitate to step forward and drive the knife toward Greed's knee. Shilo hadn't even checked on what Neb and Enjolras would have wanted. After all, her and her father had just started practicing on not hesitating, so it was in her system. And she didn't even know, or care, about Uncle Greed.

Greed winced when the knife pierced his knee, blood oozing from the wound. Damn, the kid wasn't playing around with him. Regardless his smirk remained. "Don't worry. Just keep watching," He told Neb, before grabbing the knife and extracting it. Red sparks suddenly danced around the wound before the layers of skin grew and restored his knee, showing no signs of being harmed. With a friendly glint in his eyes, he offered the knife back to Shilo. "See, kiddo? You gotta do better than that if you wanna kill me. Uncle Greed has a lot of tricks up his sleeves," answered the Homunculus. "By the way, don't go for the knees. When you get taller, try aiming for the eyes or something, alright?"

Shilo's eyes widened when she made contact. That had never happened before, her father always dodged or caught her arm. Why the Hell would this guy tell her to stab him if he wasn't even good enough to dodge a child? Shilo backed off, fear flashing across her features, though something about the fear didn't seem like it was necessarily directed toward Greed. The girl's eyes grew even wider when the red sparks started to fly and the man healed. Shilo grinned, looking up at Neb then back to new house member. She took the knife carefully, putting it back on her belt. "That's really cool." She basically bounced up and down when she said it. Though, at his advice, she tilted her head to the side, confused. "When I'm taller, why not just aim for the heart?" She asked, after all, that's what her father told her. There were points along the body that she should go for in a fight; the knees, the armpits, the throat, the chest, and the stomach. Depending on how you cut or stab, it could be a blow that wins the fight. Might not kill them, depending on the area, but it's hard to walk with a sliced ACL, or hard to lift your arms when your medial, posterior, and lateral cords cut. Either way, the eyes were a sensitive part of the body...Though the advice was rather ironic, considering the girl's future with attacks to the eyes, and all.

"Whoa..." Arlo said, clearly fascinated by the idea of an animal that was capable of traveling between worlds on its own. Her eyes darted between the other blinkers and her book as she continued to jot down notes, . Perhaps later she could try drawing what she assumed a Vilkas would look like. The girl looked up from her book suddenly as she heard Elliot's question, her eyes wide with excitement at the idea. "Really? That would be so cool- I'd love to!"She glanced over at Kid again when he mentioned that multiple blinkers sometime came from the same world. She'd seen it before with Myrnin and Arthur, but she wasn't sure if she'd met anyone else who shared a world with another blinker. It would be interesting if someone she knew came in, she would be able to talk about the House in her world... but the House was dangerous too. A moment too late, she realized what Kid was doing. The snowball hit her shoulder before she had a chance to react and she nearly lost her grip on the notebook, accidentally drawing a large diagonal line across half the page. "Hey!" she shouted, closing the book and stuffing it into her pocket. Though she'd intended to sound irritated, she couldn't help but grin as she reached down for a handful of snow and started packing it into a ball. "I'll get you for that!"
And with that, the girl sent the snowball soaring toward Kid.

"Oh! Sometimes I cover my hands in spiky ice before I punch, does that count?" Eises now only had a vague idea of bracers, she'd really like to see some for herself though. If the spiked ice didn't count, she'd be willing to see what exactly these bracers would entail. Any new fighting style was exciting for her, as long as whoever was teaching her wasn't bothered by it. Sevens seemed to be looking forward to it, so maybe the wolf could go through with this. While the Android dealt with the spikes flying through, Eises sprinted around her and approached from behind. Purposefully, she extended her hand to aim just a few inches to the side from Sevens' head and shot out a trail of Serian fire. The purple flame blew into the air, not close enough to burn the Android's hair or clothes, but just enough to feel the heat. She side stepped and was now in front of Sevens, ignoring Calibris' annoyed growls. She could tell he didn't like that she was showing off some of her other powers in a non-serious manner, after all, the two relied on surprises when attacking. It was only now that the demitheian noticed the cut on the robot's face - and the fact that her blindfold wasn't even there anymore. Her eye widened, "A-Are you okay?!" Was that...blood? Or was it just some kind of oil that happened to be red? 7S tensed up again as Eises bolted around behind her, now at the ready to dodge away from her if necessary. Faith reappeared on her back in a puff of yellow sparks, teleporting from where it had just been floating through the air a few seconds ago. Instead of aiming straight at her again however, the hybrid blew a stream of...strange fire past her head. It was still too close for comfort though and 7S took a step away, before crossing her arms and holding her chin in thought. "Purple fire, huh? Wonder if it has any unique effects that regular fire doesn't..." After pondering it over for a second, the Android's light blue gaze returned to Eises. "Hmm. In a way, yeah, although there's a bit more to them then that. They can have spikes, but they're also big and bulky, to enhance crushing power." She decided to make a mental note to find a pair to try and bring with her next time she blinked in. 6S probably wouldn't notice if his went missing for a little bit... "O-oh, it's fine! Don't worry about it." 7S replied quickly, waving a dismissive hand. "I just have to fix it quick and it'll be like nothing happened." Now that there wasn't something else flying at her, the S type took the opportunity to apply a quick dose of staunching gel onto the wound and seal it shut. She also debated on doing the same with a Logic Virus vaccine, but held off in the end. A small gash like that would be fine without it, plus it hadn't been exposed for very long. "It's not just fire, it's something entirely different." Eises explained, summoning a small, almost-transparent purple blade in her hand. It looked like it was made from crystal, although clearly it wasn't. "It could do a whole bunch of stuff." Enough you idiot! Don't tell her everything! Eises was glad no one else could hear Calibris most of the time. She did her best to ignore his scolding. "Oh." The wolf nodded, "When I cover my fists in ice, I don't use them to crush things, it's mostly to stab." More like it was always to stab. Usually, the ice would be covered in spikes just for that. When the fist would make contact, the ice would often explode and fly into the opponent as well. Using ice to crush would take a lot of power and concentration, although she wasn't entirely against the idea. "A-Are you sure?" The demitheian flattened her ears once more, guessing the android was probably lying to her. Great! she thought sarcastically. Sevens was probably annoyed with her now, but Eises didn't blame her. If Julius were here, he'd say something like ' Good going dumbass'.

“Six months, damn,” said Rich, raising his eyebrows. “That’s like...a while. I hope I don’t keep doing this for that long, honestly, because narcolepsy’ll probably get me kicked off the task force sooner or later, which would seriously suck, considering it’s either that or jail.” He finished his thought with a nervous laugh, thinking nothing of spilling his guts to the stranger in front of him since it was, like Eddie said, just some dream. ”Reporter, huh?” he said, returning his attention to the man as he introduced himself. “Neat. I’m not usually a huge fan of reporters, personally, but you seem pretty cool, and it’s not like you can land me in any unflattering headlines here, so I think I can make an exception. Anyway, Rich Dotcom, at your service.” He took a shallow, melodramatic bow to finish off the introduction, then straightened up. “Former ruler of the darkweb, and more recently, FBI-employed hacker extraordinaire.”

Ver Million NightwisherNeb blinked in surprise that Greed had actually let Shilo stab him. His 'magic trick' was nothing special to her, though. She still didn't trust him, so she'd just keep that info in mind. "You've got a good arm there," she said to the girl. She looked to Shilo, noting the way she backed away and the brief expression that flickered across her face before she grinned. She was just in training, wasn't she? Neb smiled back, but her thoughts were wandering. Knowing who she became, it was interesting to see Shilo as she was, but on the other hand it was difficult to watch her so young like this.
She gave a small shake of her head and directed her gaze back on the man. Why did he seem so proud to be telling a child stuff like this? "You sure sound eager to teach a kid all that after you were ready to throw hands a minute ago." Neb couldn't help her comment, but she didn't take it back, growing confused and curious about the switch in his tone.

"You could aim for the heart, but that's too obvious, kiddo," Greed reasoned, "Plus, it's not always easy to do that." Entertained by Shilo's curiosity, he lifted a playful hand to ruffle her hair. Still, it was strange to see a child wielding knives. Then again, he did hear from one of the chimeras that there was a young teenager working in the military as a State Alchemist. Humans must be getting desperate. "Hm?" The Homunculus tilted his head to the side as if confused with Neb's comment. With a dismissive wave of his hand, Greed added, "What? Gotta give the kids some life tips. Anyways, I've lost my interest in fighting your little group, missy. You don't have anything I want."

It was a strange feeling not wearing her eye-patch anymore, but orders were orders. Getting over the self-consciousness, she approached one of the windows and stared outside onto the snowy field, already enjoying this blink.

Timewarped!Noctin blinked into the lodge by the fireplace. Here again. He wondered, not for the first time and certainly not for the last, why the House always insisted on blinking him into cold, snowy rooms. Sure, snow was pretty, but it was cold, and he did not like that. Catching sight of Eises by the window, however, greatly improved his mood. "Hi Eises!" he said, smiling as he approached her.

Now that was a face she wasn't expecting to see any more. It was a pleasant surprise however. "Jeez, it's been a while, Rae." She hadn't seen her since....since the wolf still lived with Vantis. Winterlodge - Mini Arlo, Kid, & Eli : mintedstar/fur --cato phoenixTalking about Vilkas took a load off his own chest; the world seemed to have briefly pulled him out of a terrible reality, then literally placed him in a place with snow and the freedom to talk about anything other then well-despair. "Aye, it would be nice to have her here. She would appreciate everything here." Perhaps even more then the hell I'm forcing her through. He couldn't help but reach down once more for another bundle of snow to throw in the air. There was something about throwing snow in the air that was just refreshing and welcoming. Kid asking for attention did catch his attention however, but he was slightly confused as to what he was doing; it was when he threw a snowball at Arlo that he realized what was going on. Falling silent he took a few steps back, his attention turning to catch Arlo's growing excited reaction. As she tossed a snowball back at Kid he took another few steps back; it was as if the two were ready to duel, which always translated to give them room.

It wouldn't be too hard to hid the cut, since it wasn't that big. The biggest trouble would be the visor, since it was against protocol to be seen around the base with them off. While it was a inconvenience had left her slightly irritated when it happened, the Android wasn't annoyed with Eises at all. If anything, she was mad at herself for starting the whole thing in the first place, but she held no ill will for the wolf. Not that you could tell that without knowing though. "Makes sense. Especially if you spend more time fighting things not made of metal." Come to think of it, there was only a handful of times she herself had ever raised her blade at a flesh and blood foe. There was the times it had been other blinkers, but it was always in the defense of others.

She could tell Calibris was suddenly eyeing Noctin. It was strange, but she decided she would bring it up to him after her blink. She didn't want to busy herself talking to the dragon right now.
"Right! It's only been a few weeks since I've seen Noctin but I haven't seen you in years!" The return of her excited feeling made the air around her even colder. "Everything good with both of your worlds?"

Would it be the same as people asking her about her eyepatch? It's not like Eises could tell the truth behind that however, she always had to find some consistent lie to make people satisfied. "What's a B type?" She guessed that was some kind of android. Her cheeks reddened again, "I-It's nothin' special really. I still have a long way to go..." She was nowhere near the level of her master or the dragon duo, plus she could barely keep up with Julius when they fought. "I dunno if I have the strength to crush things, so I just stick to stabbin' or burnin' them." She awkwardly laughed. Of course, she did have the strength if Calibris was involved, it's happened before after all. Using that much of Calibris' power wasn't something she wanted to get into the habit of doing however. And what's wrong with using my power? He sneered. Eises struggled to clear her mind to prevent retorting back.

That was true, though Noctin was fairly certain he'd been blinking in less, so maybe they had just missed each other. It was strange how he could tell his blinks were getting more distant based on what the other blinkers talked about. He wasn't sure how he felt about it. "Hopefully we can keep blinking in together," he said anyways. Maybe the House would hear and allow it.
Turning his attention back to Eises, he nodded slightly. Finishing a mission, that was good. Hopefully it meant she was out of harm's way and could get back to her friends. Ah! That was right, her friend Evina. "How's Evina doing?" he asked curiously, very interested in Eises's answer. Maybe the two of them had finally realized.... As the conversation turned to his world, he choose his answer carefully. There was a lot going on. Things he didn't really want to think about, but was being forced to deal with anyways. He shrugged. "The usual," he said flatly, letting them take whatever they would from that.
