Well, there were a few unique things Eises could definitely do, but of course all of that involved Calibris. Transforming into a monster or having those tentacles burst from her back didn't sound like something just anyone could do. She definitely wasn't going to transform here though, it's not like she could on command anyway.
As if the thought summoned him, Calibris begun to awake.
Mornin', sleepy.
"Comin' up with a new weapon sounds hard, but I guess you're right. I haven't met any other ice users so I don't really know how unique my fighting style is." Deep down, she knew it wasn't common at all. Especially considering how ice wasn't the only magic she could use. Her low self esteem however would never let her admit that.
Missing the blow, Eises' eye widened. What the hell? For a split second, she swore she saw several...copies of Sevens. Her confused look turned into an excited smile. The wolf had to use all her strength to restrain herself from attacking again. Her hands began to twitch at the thought. "I see it now!" She didn't know what that was exactly, but it was really cool. "Is that all? Or can you do more?"

"Sounds pretty similar to the holidays in Efwllis," Julia commented. In a way, that was a relief. However, with only the two of them being present at the moment, it didn't feel much like the festivals back in her world. That could mean that this was a 'making friends' room just like the one with the weird outfits that she had been in once before. That wouldn't exactly be a good thing - casual banter wasn't something she was skilled at. The woman looked away from the mechanical wolf for a few moments to get a more thorough observation of their surroundings. "Have you ever explored over there?" she asked, pointing towards an exit leading to a hallway. It seemed like the solutions weren't obvious physical exits, but the thought of going into the hall was better than just standing around trying to talk.

"Oh, that's super cool. Is that where you're from? Is it cool there?" Victoria asked. The wolf's gaze followed Julia's pointing, and she shook her head noncommittally- neither a clear yes or no. "Well, yeah, I mean, I've, like, been over to that part a little bit and seen stuff but, like, the House changes stuff all th'time anyways, so like, there's always new stuff to explore and I like seeing stuff, and it's way more fun to explore with other people, plus, you guys have thumbs 'n stuff so you can open the doors." She took a few excited bounces across the main room, then skidded to a stop before returning to Julia's side. "Let's go!"

Loki assessed the vampire as he blinked in, interested by his composure at blinking in, quickly switching topics and greeting Loki with little hesitation. They wondered if he had some sort of hyperawareness of his surroundings. If so, Myrnin was someone they wanted to explore rooms with. Honestly, after the whole flamethrower thing, both Myrnin and Hange were people they wanted to explore the House with. "Well." Loki answered neutrally, turning the red glass ornament over in their hands. They held it up, the fake firelight glinting on its surface and reflecting some of the room. They looked at it, then flicked their gaze to the festive surroundings."The House decided to redecorate?" "If you mean the tree," Myrnin said. "Then a blinker probably decorated it. The House leaves out the decorations and it usually gets all put on before the Lodge goes back to being the living room. Or like last time, it got burned down before we ended up back there." He shrugged, as if all the blinkers blinking out into the snow and almost freezing to death wasn't a big deal. "Maybe it lets us do that to keep us entertained." He jabbed a thumb at the fire place and the fake firelight. "Not taking any chances this time. This the first time you've seen the House do a holiday event?"

"Is that all? Or can you do more?" Before she could give a reply, 7S' scanners began picking up a sudden influx of energy flowing from Eises. Was this because she was actively engaging a 'foe'? The S type made a note of it, but otherwise she put it on the back burner for now. Well, the wolf admitting that was a step in the right direction at least. "If you'd like, I could do my best to help out with that. If you decide you want to try it that is..." 7S hummed, "I could run through my database and pull up some weapons from my world we could try. I bet the look on your enemies faces would be priceless if you came after them with a pair of giant ice bracers." The Android pursed her lips together jokingly. "I got a few other things I can do, and I'd love to show you! Buuut!" One of her hands flew up and she waved a finger back and forth. "Only if you show me something else you can do!"

Julia nodded, purely in response to the first question. If the House and the rooms changed as much as Victoria was implying, then it would certainly be a challenge to figure out. Jotting down notes was a possibility, but was it really worthwhile? If her partner back in Efwllis found them, he'd think she was insane. Deciding against it for the time being, she walked towards the hall. The wolf's enthusiastic behavior reminded her of some children. It made the space feel more festive, if only by the slightest amount.

Winter Lodge - Arlo, Kid & Eli : mintedstar/fur --cato phoenixMaking his way for the door like the other two, the cold sneaking in was making its presence further known. Reaching past the door, his feet made contact with the fresh coating that his feet started to sink down a bit. It was always nice, feeling the fresh foam sink per step and certainly better then hacking away after it has been stale for a few days. He was a bit cold at first, seeing as his attire was not for the occasion but thankfully the scarf leaning along his side was folded to make it smaller then it actually was. Untying the purple scarf, he unfolded it, then wrapped it around himself. It would take a few minutes to adjust to the weather, something for once he was grateful towards his mother for. Despite it being a terrible means... He knelt down now, feeling the snow sink as his knee rested on the foam like goodness. He reached out with his hands, brushing the sand along the surface. Being asked the question of winter activities he couldn't help but slightly chuckle, "Caribou hunting is at the top of the list, but I like to take my Vilkas out for runs in the woods. Then he likes to hide from me because he blends into the snow. I used to take my Vilkas into the remote villages during this time of the year so children can ride him, but I have not had the time to commit myself to it." He couldn't help but frown a bit, there was so much he used to do during the snowy season.

Nore's expression turned a little more earnest when he mentioned caring about her. She wasn't caught off guard, but instead just nodding in agreement. It was a success for him to say that--they were friends. Then, she was easily distracted by the bakery analogy. But I don't like bread that much... she thought, furrowing her eyebrows so that they disappeared behind her sunglasses. She finally sipped her hot chocolate out of contemplation, making it look quite cool. "It doesn't bother me. I guess I don't care what other people think so much," she said, as if it were generous of her to be friends with him. It suggested too much that others didn't want to have anything to do with him because of the fact. She took another sip, head tilting back slightly as she did so and then returning to an even state. She cupped her free hand under the mug, bow still tucked under that arm. "Maybe you're the one who should be worried about being friends with me." It was a statement that didn't need much elaboration, after the rooms and the conversations the two of them had been through. It was almost a question one would ask when seeing how much information had unfortunately leaked out of their mouth in the past, and been remembered.

As Julia walked into the hallway, her eyes widened in surprise. She certainly hadn't expected there to be this many doors. It was almost overwhelming. "Which one should we open?" she asked, hoping Victoria could give some input. With how the doors were laid out, it seemed like each room would be narrow and small. Still, there was no knowing what exactly was in them.

Julia let out a small sigh, looking back at the doors. Uncertainty was exactly the reason why she'd asked, not what she was hoping to get in return. Thankfully, the wolf moved over to one a few moments later. Julia walked up to it and turned the knob. She held it open, allowing Victoria to enter first.

After Victoria went in, Julia looked into the space. Dark. She followed after the wolf, ready to search for a light switch, but instead she fell. Great. A booby trap. As the thought entered her head, the air around her grew significantly colder. It was a different feeling than what she was used to - even in winter, Effwllis didn't get that cold. A few seconds later, she landed in a sleigh. She noticed that her outfit had changed - the white labcoat and black pants were replaced with fuzzy red pants hemmed with white fur and a red shirt, also hemmed with white fur. Its buttons were also white and furry. On her feet were a pair of black boots and on her hands were red gloves, matching the rest of the outfit. To top it all off, there was an accessory which she and the other blinker shared - a red hat which had white fur around the bottom and a ball of it at the top. "This is a lot of red," the woman commented. The strange apparel was a bit humiliating, but hopefully it would at least prevent her from freezing until they got out of the room.

It was a statement that didn't need much elaboration, after the rooms and the conversations the two of them had been through. It was almost a question one would ask when seeing how much information had unfortunately leaked out of their mouth in the past, and been remembered. "Hum," Myrnin muttered around the cookie. He had other friends who were humans who also didn't seem to mind the fact that he was a vampire and could, therefor, at any moment decide he was a bit too peckish. He thought over Nore's own ... warning. He supposed that was the best way to phrase it. He sighed, remembering the various rooms they had been in. He knew what Nore was. Or, at least, he thought he did. But that didn't mean he didn't want the best for her. Or that he didn't find her funny or good-natured. At least in a round about sense. He tapped at his chin, then shrugged. "If you want me to stop being your friend because of that ... I don't think I can." He pressed his lips together, still thinking. "Anyway, I can take care of myself. You just need to worry about ... well ... your side of the fence. If something comes over it, I guess we'll both deal with the consequences."

"Ah." Loki nodded at Myrnin's explanation of the tree. They put the bulb back, listening with interest at Myrnin's explanation and story of the lodge burning down previously. That could be useful information. Back in the living room, the flamethrower had only seemed to damage the superficial trappings. The prinxe turned back to face Myrnin, following his gesture to the fake fireplace with their gaze. A mischievous spark flared in their green eyes. "We did manage to burn a fair amount with no fireplace at all, back in the living room." They pointed out- from Loki, that was surprisingly friendly. "And yes, I've not seen this place before." "We'd just be stuck out in the cold again if we burned this place down," Myrnin said regretfully. "Speaking of outside ..." He pointed in the direction of the door out into the snow. "Have you been out yet? I mean, I can't feel cold, but I haven't been out this time yet." He grinned a bit. It wasn't a particularly nice grin. "I'm sure we could find something to be entertaining. Depending on what you'd like. You're quiet inspiring to poke and investigate this place more, you know that right?" He added, as an after thought, "Anyway ... this is one of the less invasive holiday event the House does. Wait until April First." He scowled, clearly not particularly found of the memory - or rather, of missing out on it while Oliver was in that chaos. (It wasn't until mentioning it that I remembered when Loki blinks in with their helmet Myrnin will at least recognize them from Oliver's description. )

A broad smile graced Nore's face, but she held it back, raising her mug. She only nodded assuredly. Then, at his next analogy, the smile disappeared on its own. It was even more weird than the first. "If something comes over my side of the fence?" she murmured, sitting beside him and leaning back on the couch. "What is that supposed to mean? I don't even have a house." In reality she could detect that it was a metaphor, but even if it was still confusing, it was worrying, too. Besides, Myrnin had just said that he could take care of himself. Why would he be affected by the consequences? Nore sighed and took one last sip before bringing the mug back to the table with one hand, setting it down with a bit of noise. She hardly ever had a problem with being friends with a vampire, until it came to their conversations. That is, the problem was with Myrnin and not him being a vampire. Luckily she wasn't one to linger on things long, much less remember much of it.

A girl with short pink hair blinked in next to the couch and stumbled, almost falling over before she managed to throw out her arms and catch herself. She had been staring straight ahead with a serious expression in her red eyes, her mouth open as though she’d been about to speak. But as she straightened up and looked around, her voice abandoned her. The smell of fire and hot chocolate assaulted her senses, and she glanced quickly over her shoulder to make sure the room she’d just left wasn’t somehow behind her. It wasn’t. She rotated a full circle before her eyes finally landed on another girl nearby. She didn’t look too panicked, more annoyed than anything. She took a step forward and stopped, raising a hand in a hesitant greeting. “Excuse me...where am I?”

Iwasawa smiled, relieved as the other girl flew into a friendly, if somewhat long-winded, explanation. She didn’t reply at first. Different worlds...? What did that mean? She didn’t recognize this place at all, so she didn’t think she could be at the school anymore, but...wait. She narrowed her eyes, heart racing in her chest as the ideas in her head began to click together, forming a strange pattern. Had she disappeared without realizing it? That didn’t make sense, she hadn’t been doing anything that should have caused that to happen, she hadn’t even been feeling particularly good at the time. The mission hadn’t been going well, she’d been worried, and then.... “I’m Iwasawa.” She introduced herself, shaking her head slightly to clear it. Okay, so this didn’t make any sense right now, but she couldn’t expect to understand right off the bat, could she? It had happened, so it had to have an explanation. So, she would find it, eventually. No need to panic. “Nice to meet you. Um, yes, actually, if you don’t mind too much...can I ask if you’re alive?”

Iwasawa glanced around the room again, taking it in better the second time around. The smell of smoke had come from the fireplace in the corner, which was a bit of a relief, and she noticed that the table of cookies and hot chocolate was looking a bit depleted. Maybe there were other people around here somewhere? Nara’s comment made her glance back to the other girl, raising an eyebrow. Of course, she’d noticed that Nara’s name wasn’t Japanese, but the other girl seemed to speak the language fluently so she hadn’t given it much thought. “Wait a minute.” Iwasawa sat down on the couch, chewing her lip, a crease appearing between her eyes as the details in her head began to collide. “You said we’re from different...worlds...right? How are you speaking Japanese? How do you even know where my name is from?” Unless she was lying. Iwasawa paused, she eyes freezing on Nara’s kind face, and tucked her legs up beside her. The other girl might not be who she said she was. What if she was lying, and she was the one who had kidnapped Iwasawa from her world somehow? It seemed impossible. Then again, so did the ‘Paradox House’, yet here she was. “No, I’m dead.” She explained, a wary note entering her tone now. “Or at least I was. I might be alive now, I guess, if I was reborn somehow. We don’t really know what happens to you when that happens, so I guess it’s possible.”

Nara followed the girl's eyes over to the table with cookies and hot coco. Honestly, she hadn't even noticed, too upset that the House had blinked her in at such a time. Though, the House did seem to have a habit of that. Her attention was called back to the pink haired girl when she spoke again. "Yup-- Oh! Sorry, I guess I should have explained that. The House has a language translator, so everyone can communicate. From different parts of the world down to different creatures. It's actually pretty cool. I mean, I speak Japanese, but the House makes it so I don't have to." She explained, hoping that made sense. "Um, well, different worlds could mean different time lines or different dimensions of the worlds. So you and I could be from the same world, or we could just be from similar worlds where things are named the same and everything. I think that's the most common. People kind of connect over the whole timeline thing more than they do different world thing." She nodded, continuing to rub her hands together.
Nara's brow creased when Iwasawa said she was dead. "Reincarnation? I mean, I guess that's an interesting option, if that's how your world does it. Not that my world doesn't I'm not really...sure..." She blushed and looked down, realizing she was still rambling. The woman took a deep breath, trying to steady herself. "Well, alive or dead, still be careful. I wouldn't put it past the House to be dangerous no matter what."

Iwasawa watched Nara’s expression closely, looking for any sign that she’d been caught in a lie, or even that she was leaving something important out, She didn’t see any sign of dishonesty in th other girl’s eyes, though, and slowly she began to relax again. The explanation made as much sense as she could hope for, so she decided to take Nara’s word for it, for the moment. At least until she found a way to find her own answers. “So you are from Earth, just a different Earth?” She perststed, the suspicion in her tone replaced with friendly curiosity. “I get it. So you could be from my past, or my future, or even some alternate version of my present, right?” It was confusing, but Nara was right: it was also pretty cool. She was used to time being a bit messed up, since in the afterlife you could meet people already there who should have died after you, so this wasn’t as hard to grasp as it might be for some other human. She nodded seriously as the other blinker continued. “I wish I could say, but I don’t know what things would be like in a different universe. For me, I don’t even know if it always works like that. It’s just some people who end up where I did.”
Right. Those dangers again. She glanced around the room, but she aside from poisoned cookies she couldn’t see anything that looked particularly hazardous. “Yeah, I’ll be careful. Is there anything else I should know about? You said the rooms could be bad, but what kinds of things specifically are in there?”
