"Dress-up?" Bass echoed with a growl. "It's armor. What, are those horns of yours for dress-up?" Why did everyone think he was wearing a costume? It looked far from cheap to be considered one. Maybe the humans in the House needed to get their eyes checked. "Im guessin' you never seen a robot before?" He questioned, scowling at him.

Julius clenched his teeth; those tiny horns of his were always the butt of the joke. He really wished he could've been born as a different kind of snake with bigger horns, but unfortunately, he was stuck with these baby-looking ones instead. At least he couldn't complain about his tail. He slowly stood up, towering over Bass. "Your mom make that toyset for you?"

The gray eyed, young man gave a small nod as if he actually understood what she was talking about. He didn't, but he also didn't want to ask. Luckily, or unluckily, enough she explained it anyway. "Ah, we call people like that Cusana." So maybe not all worlds were all that different. Though, they didn't quite sound like the same enemy. Cusana were people of the Zakti, the God of Energy. There were few of them, and they had their own cult on the far end of kingdom, banished for the crimes of existing with the wrong power. Well, really they had fled to escape execution. Ah, how great King Vipatti had been. "I assume they're actually dangerous creatures in your world though? In my world their only crime was living with the power to dethrone our king." He wondered if this woman had known King Vipatti like the last girl...was what her name... Rae?

Bass' unflinching gaze remained on Julius. Great, was he hoping to scare him away with his massive height? Still, he nearly grimaced when his armor and buster was compared to a mere toy. "Jokes on you, I don't have a mom, jackass." He sneered, slightly raising his buster. "By the way, you'd be surprise what my so call 'toyset' can do. How about we have a little test run, huh?"

Julius assumed by having no mom, the boy meant he had a dead one. He knew that should warrant an apology, but he was too stubborn for that. Apologisng during an argument was something he never did, unless it was Eises he was arguing with. But that would come after the fight, not during. He couldn't help but laugh at the boy's idea of trying out his toy. "What are you waiting for little boy?"

Though grimacing at Julius's comment, Bass wore a ferocious grin. What a stupid human, trying to get into a fight with him! "You asked for it!" He snarled. Taking a step back, he activated his buster weapon and sent a shot of purple energy at the older male. With a smug glint in his eyes, the robot expected to see him to be crying and begging him for forgiveness.

Julius rolled his eyes and merely stood there, taking short drags out of his cigarette. He placed his hand on his hip, "Hurry it up." This boy is lucky; usually when people try to attack him, he immediately kills them in retaliation. The viper however, doesn't kill kids, no matter how much of a brat they were. It was one of the few rules he lived by.
With his mind busy, it took him several seconds to realise that the boy had already shot him. "Right, you done playing with your toy?"

"What the hell." The confidence vanished and was replaced with surprise when Julius was unscathed by the attack. Gaping at him, Bass checked his Buster to see if it was defective, but to his chagrin, it was in perfect condition. How hard was it suppose to be to hurt a squishy human? Unless this one was made out of steel or something. He hissed in frustration. Equipping his Wave Burner, he unleashed numerous green flames at him.
Humans had to be flammable, right?

"More?" Julius sighed. Whatever, it's not like he had other stuff to do while he was here. Of course, he could explore the room, but it seemed like right now wasn't the time for that. He wondered if the boy would cling to him if he were to leave now. He took out another cigarette and placed it in his mouth without lighting it. Crossing his arms, the viper merely watched as waves of green flames blasted onto him. He could actually feel this one, but the only difference was that now it was warmer. The viper grinned when his plan work, the unlit cigarette was now lit. "That was useful." He merely said, blowing smoke out of his mouth.

Eye twitching, Bass was tempted to knock over the lodge furniture. This guy couldn't be human if he managed to survive his attacks. His rage surged when Julius simply smirked at his attempts while smoking nonchalantly. "Honestly, what the hell?!" The robot huffed, "You're not some ordinary human, aren't you? Damn, what are you even made of?"

Oh good, was he done now? Sure Julius didn't feel the shots, but he'd rather be doing anything else. Something like this isn't as fun when the person is a child, since he couldn't really do anything about it. Children being dissatisfied and shocked didn't bring him any joy, unlike when it happens to adult men.
The viper tilted his head, "What the hell is a human?"

"What." Deadpanned, Bass stared at Julius. Wait, so he wasn't a human? That would explain the strange tail and the baby horns. The robot clicked his tongue in irritation. "A human kinda looks like you except without the tail, teeny horns, and they're a lot more squishy than you." He answered bluntly. Maybe not the best explanation in the world, but oh well.

Winter Lodge -- Kid (with Arlo and Eli) -- --cato phoenix AuranskyKid could at least take such a large hint from Elliot. He found a reason to change the subject from that, anyway. Maybe he'd find out more in the future ... "How long have you been blinking into the House?" he asked. "Have you met anyone interesting or unusual?" He ran back through some of the people and not-so-like-people he had met in his time here. There were ... a few of note. Arlo was one of them. Did he have a possibility of getting to know this version? Or would he loose her like he had the other? "Your art is good!" he said approvingly. "Better than mine." Which it was. But she - the adult Arlo - had been the one who had inspired him to start his own notebook. "Have you seen any other events in the House?" he asked her. "I take it the House would have gone through Halloween, at least. I missed it."

Julius inhaled sharply and rolled his eyes again, Just get on with it. Was it really that surprising? These humans that he's mentioning are definitely not something found in Elisia. He couldn't tell if the same could be said for the rest of Theia. The snake nodded, humans definitely weren't in Theia, "Sooooo your world's version of Theians I figure." He now wondered what the difference was between the two, other than the worlds, "I'm just a demitheian, nothing special."

"A what?" It was now Bass' turn to be puzzled. Was that a fancy word for a half-snake man? Maybe that doctor would know. After all, he could use old that brain for something useful for once. "Eh. I shouldn't be surprised by now. You're probably from some weird planet far from mine's." He assumed with a lazy shrug.

"It's uh-" How could Julius explain it that didn't sound...weird? "My dad-" He paused, feeling a cloud of bitterness overwhelm him for a few seconds just thinking about the man- "He's Theian, and my mom's a snake." If this kid knew anything about how babies were born, Julius should probably explain what semitheians were so it didn't create an awkward image. "Uhh, some animals can turn into their Theian forms and yeah."

Eises' eye widened in interest, "You use magic too? What kind?" She didn't think that was possible for an android, but since she was from a different world she couldn't exactly question it either. She couldn't help but smile a little at the small little robots the android was showing her. "Those are kinda cute." The wolf chuckled, not expecting them to talk to like a cowboy...well, talk at all. "Robots back home don't talk or think. They're pretty borin' until you have to fight an army of 'em." Of course, those armies were programmed to fight and do nothing else. "Uhh..." 7S crossed her arms and looked away, trying to think of an appropriate answer. "H-how about we just call it 'Black Box magic'?" It was a dumb reply of course, but once again, not completely wrong. "It's what let's me do stuff like this." The visible part of the Android's face hardened ever so slightly when Eises found the stubby 'cute'. She knew the hybrid didn't know the goings on back on her Earth and the atrocities these little things had committed, so she knew how innocent the bots probably appeared to her. "Looks can be deceiving. These things were responsible for wiping out most human life on the planet." The hologram flickered out. "And quite a bit of other life as well..." Those last words held a bit more veiled bitterness then the part about humanity, leaving the ever so subtle hint of a deeper, more personal, distaste for the Machine Lifeforms. If something like that were to happen again. I don't know what I'd do...As usual, 7S' exterior let on no visible signs of what was going on in her head. Instead, her gaze wondered back towards Eises and she tilted her head. The mention of another world's mechanical life had ignited her inbuilt curiosity. "Oh? Are those the only kind there?" Now it was the S type's turn to ask questions.

Arlo frowned slightly as Elliot spoke of his world. Since learning that they existed, she had found the other worlds fascinating and sometimes imagined what it would be like to see them for herself. She hadn't really thought of the fact that there could be some worlds she wouldn't want to visit. What exactly was it that made the new blinker think that way of his own world? She considered asking, but thought better of it. It was pretty obvious that he didn't want to talk about it, and at the moment she thought it would be best to stick to brighter topics. Instead, the girl added to Kid's questions- "Or seen any rooms besides this one? If you'd still call this a room." "Thanks!" Arlo said to Kid, her smile returning again at the compliment. She was rather proud of her art, but didn't always have people to show it to in her world besides her parents. She shook her head in response to his question. "No, I started blinking in just before Christmas in my world and this is the first time I've seen it do something for a holiday." The girl tilted her head slightly to the side as she thought about what had happened in the House since she'd started blinking. "I guess the forest might count as an event even though it didn't have anything to do with a holiday." She answered. It definitely hadn't been a normal room. "Did you hear about that yet? It was just the night before last for me, but I guess time passes differently for everyone here. No one could blink out, we just froze."

"Cusana... hm." Eliyen repeated, testing the unfamiliar word. It was the first time she'd heard of someone having anything similar to shades in their world, but then again, she had never really asked anyone. She hadn't really seen a point since there was nothing anyone in the House could do about it. She was only talking about them now to keep her mind from wandering too far- the last thing she needed was to be thrown back into that fight while lost in thought. Even if she wasn't in a fight, focusing too much about the past would do little to improve her mood.
"Trust me when I say they definitely are. They're constantly hunting humans, and they don't care who they attack. Even if you manage to get away somehow, a scratch or bite is all it takes to turn you into one of them," she replied finally. "If they were just people with unusually strong magic... Well, I imagine it would be a very different world." A world that Vyra wouldn't have needed to run from... which she wasn't going to think about now. The world was the way was, and she couldn't change that. "Name's Eliyen by the way. You have any idea what all this is for?" She waved a hand (and dagger) to indicate the room and its decorations.

Eises tilted her head, "What's a Black Box?" Was it literally a magical box that was black? Maybe it was a metaphor for something else. An enchanted item? That wasn't unheard of in Theia, items giving off magic, and of course Eises of all people would know.
"Eh?!" The wolf couldn't believe what she was hearing. They looked...small and weak. They all had rust of them judging by the pictures, so how were they able to do anything remotely dangerous? Wouldn't that rust get in the way or make them fall apart? But to wipe out the entirety of humans...That was...depressing. "I see..." Was all she was able to say.
"They got robots for almost everything." The wolf started, "Machines work in factories, dunno if those count as robots though. But yeah the Theian-looking ones are only used for battle. No machine in Theia has a conscious or could think." For Eises, that was a good thing. Fighting soulless hunks of metal is easier than fighting something that can think.... sort of. She really couldn't think how it would be possible to give them a conscious, how would that even work?
"Uh, do you have a name?" Was that weird question to ask? This blinker was an android after all, were those given regular names in her world?

His attention was glued to the tree, how some branches weighed down when given a decorative ornament, and others holding firm. Yet each decoration being added, gave more life to the tree. With a soft smile once more he listened to the two ask a very similar question. "This would perhaps be my third time here in this place. My second time at this, er lodge?" He turned his head as he was uncertain with the name of this room in particular. "The first time, I had a lengthy chat with a detective, what a kind gentlemen he was. Of course surprised to not see me react in such a barbaric way, as he claims that so many others do on their first encounter. I'm no stranger to crossing worlds, but the method is clearly a first." He returned his attention to the tree, it was tall. It seemed like they would need a lift towards the top, but still that would be a problem for later, right now they still had to decorate the rest of the tree at their reach. With all the decorations once in his grasp now on the tree, he returned to the box to snatch another handfull of decorations. Listening to the two converse between eachother was relaxing in a sense.

Winter Lodge -- Kid, Arlo, and Eli -- --cato phoenix Auransky"Oh," said Kid, thinking over the rather large possibility of detectives the House collected. "Did you meet L or Sherlock?" He realized Elliot might not know the exact names of those he had met, so he elaborate, "Curly haired man who is rather tall and usually carries whatever he was currently holding for a case is Sherlock. He's not exactly open, but a good man. Then L has dark, spiky hair and stands hunched over. Looks like he hasn't slept in weeks and likes sweets. Usually sees more than he speaks." He hoped those were good enough descriptions to work out who was who. He hadn't seen either men in a while. He looked sharply at Arlo, however, when she talked about a forest. "Oh. One of those. I heard a lot about those from older blinkers, but I've only ever been in one." He was, admittedly, slightly offended the House hadn't blinked him in for that one as well. "You'll ... have to tell me what happened in it." He looked at the tree, placing a couple more decorations on it. "It's probably important. The House doesn't seem to do them unless they are. The one I was in ended up ..." He remembered how the other Danny had been brought back. What crushing weight of his own memories - and not his memories. "Being a lot to handle," he finished.

"Oh, so no rooms yet. They can be pretty... interesting," said Arlo, remembering the rooms she'd seen so far. She'd heard that they could be even stranger. The girl flipped to another page of her book and scribbled down a few quick notes as Kaito described the two detectives. She thought she might have seen them before, but she hadn't spoke with either of them yet. She looked up again when he started talking about the strange room. There had been others? "It looked like a normal room when I went in, but when I found the others they told me that they'd been freezing instead of blinking. We had to put the frozen blinkers in a couple of carts so we could keep moving..." Arlo paused looking a little irritated as she glanced at the ceiling. "I kept freezing, so I missed some stuff. At one point someone tried to start a fire and it got out of control, but I don't think anyone got hurt too bad. At the end we found an abandoned city with a library- you might have heard that part, if you wrote on certain books they'd affect the books in the House."

It's what powers our systems, and also stores our memories and personalities." 7S lifted a hand and produced another hologram above her outstretched palm. It was a ebony cube with various patterns resembling circuitry covering its surface. A white glow pulsated from within, causing those patterns to glow brightly. "If I have my facts straight, that's how the artificial life back home started as well." The S type mused, "Over time, as technology became more advanced and through constant refining of artificial intelligence, the creations became just as sentient as their creators." Whether that was a blessing or a curse, however, was another thing altogether... "Hmm. Probably not the type you're thinking of." 7S bit her lip in thought, pausing for a second. "Unless a... What's the word humans used to say... 'cheesy'?, nickname counts. If so feel free to call me 'Sevens'." The corners of the her couldn't resist lifting in an amused smile. "But most people call me 7S." Her left hand raised to her chest in the YoRHa salute, and as always she threw in her personal twist of doing it with a slight bow.

Bemused as ever the wildclaw awaited for the other blinker's response merely shrugging in response at the option taken. Preferably she wouldn't have had Vanessa go against a whole herd capable of flight. Yet more often than not those who were singled out by the house could hold their ground in the most unlikely of odds. "Have at it then." Salsa snorted with a toothy grin, a wisp of frost came from her flaring nostrils. The distraction was working marvellously or rather it came along decently as she padded down the less snow covered parts of the land. She gave a good guess the reindeer weren't so dense as their winter hides when it came to their surroundings given they made it so far with their modest group. She took flight into the air and began circling around the peculiar herd cautiously with her trusty net in hand all the while keep an eye on the narcoblix. Vanessa did her best not to watch the wildclaw taking flight. But truthfully, how could she not? Dragons were not exactly social creatures in her world. In fact, she had only ever been on a dragon preserve once, and only for a brief time. Another sanctuary had wyverns, but they were slightly different - thought perhaps closer in appearance to Salsa as any other dragons she knew of. She shouldn't have underestimated the reindeer. The problem was, she hadn't thought they were worth the time at all. Herbivores which liked to stay in cold climates. She hadn't been in the House long enough not to take what she knew in her world didn't always apply here. The deer started to move toward the narcoblix with surprising speed. Vanessa looked back at them sharply, eyes narrowing. Not good. So, she did a logical thing. She ran.

Rex looked up at her words, scanning the area. It was pretty, he supposed, but he was quick to dismiss the sight seeing. There was fun to be had here- opportunities to be exploited while he had the chance. They could finally spend some time together just messing around instead of fighting to stop whatever idiot the House decided to blink in with them. Noticing her shivering, he waved back inside. "There are some coats hanging behind the door," he said. It wouldn't be fun if she was shivering and cold the whole time. “Oh, right,” said Touka, giving him a quick nod and stepping back inside to grab a coat. She had been planning to try and enjoy this regardless of the cold, but she couldn’t lie - a jacket would definitely be more comfortable. After a moment, she emerged once again, this time bundled up in a thick pink and black puffer coat, and began to walk alongside Rex, heading away from the cabin. “So, I’m taking bets on how long this lasts before something goes sideways,” she said, giving her companion a crooked smile. “My guess is twenty minutes.”

As she ducked back inside, Rex immediately stooped down, swiping a couple handfuls of snow. Packing it into a ball, he subtly turned so Touka couldn't see it when she came back out. Oh he was ready. The excitement building in his chest spiked as she came out. "Only twenty minutes?" he asked, a cocky grin flying onto his face. "I'll take that bet. It'll be less." With that said, he lunged away from Touka to put some space between them, then spun around, whipping the snowball at Touka with point blank accuracy. A cackle escaped him and without quite looking to see it hit, he bolted away, tearing through the snow.
