Raizel nodded at Eliyen's response. "It provides us with an opportunity to reflect and further appreciate those around us. According to humans, it's a popular holiday." He happily added. "I wish I had learned about this holiday sooner, I would have been able to provide Frankenstien, with gifts for every year he had stayed by my side. He turned towards Eddie now asking about his friend , "Yes my friend and loyal servant, Frankenstien. That is his name, how he has introduced himself and how refers to himself. Though, I have bdfd some people nickname him the stern tall handsome principal, since he runs the high school I attend." He smiled a bit, with a flinch. "He watched my every detail, very impressive for a human." He complimented the man, on both equal footing and a tad of fear.

There was a small clatter as Myrnin blinked in, promptly tripping and falling on his face. By that point, he carefully pushed himself to his feet, grumbling. "Who put that wood burning stove there?" he asked, even though there was no such thing in his path. He glanced around the center of the room, chewing on his lip. "What's going on?" he muttered. He patted himself down, adjusting the hard hat he was wearing with it's light still on. He looked like he'd been spelunking. In a full faux fur coat and plaid trousers. "Christmas?" He looked around, which caused the lights to strike into everyone's eyes. "Not bad ... we're almost there, I guess. October isn't too far off." He glanced back at the surrounding people. "What's going one?"

Yeah, Maladict didn't know what to do with that information. This boy was by far the more annoying blinkers he'd met. However, he still wanted to protect Arlo and others. And this boy was dangerous, particularly if he found out things in the wrong order. But there could be something here. He took a small step forward and then bowed. "Tempting offer, my lord. I shall take you up on this kind offer if you could see it in yourself to forgive us." Was there any problem in him that he was doing this? Not particularly. Sadly, it was falling into familiar patterns. Now it involved more effective lying, he reassured himself. (Figured I'd make a blinking out post lol.) Of course he wasn't actually going to forgiving anybody, but what was a small lie to somebody like him? "Fine, It's settled then!" The newbie replied to Maladict, "From this day forth, your body and soul belongs to me, the future Over-" He stopped mid-sentence, looking away for a second with a quick expression of uncertainty. That's right. If his dad actually was dead... It was a very brief thing however, and one would have only noticed it if they had the eyes of a hawk. "No. The new Overlord, Laharl!" Upon that proclamation, the demon prince began laughing proudly. Until he blinked out that was, back to a confused vassal who was probably wondering the same thing that he had been upon first blinking in. There was also the fact that his new servant hadn't followed him back... Or that the prince didn't even know his name...

"That's a time machine?" asked Sam, incredulous as he pointed down at the backpack. Which was no longer there. He scowled. He'd wanted to hear Myrnin's answer. It seemed rather ridiculous. But he pushed that aside, looking around at the room. He recognized the decorations. It had been Halloween only yesterday. And now here it was Christmas. This place didn't seem to move on normal times. "What's going on?" he asked, turning slowly around. Or rather, what did he do? Last time he was here, and it was a holiday, then it was a just for dress-up and trick-or-treating. Slowly, he lowered himself into the nearest couch. There was an undercoated tree as well.

Eliyen nodded as the other two blinkers explained "Christmas" a bit more. "I guess it might not be celebrated as much in some parts of the world now because of the plague," she replied. "Maybe it's more popular in some of the bigger cities." Eliyen traveled a lot and had been to some major cities, but she never stayed in any one place for very long and never gotten involved in traditions and festivities. She understood why some people would enjoy them, but for her it seemed pointless. Why bother befriending people when you were going to leave again? "You okay there?" She asked, looking over at Myrnin when he fell into the room. "I knew it was October somewhere!" she exclaimed before returning her focus to Raizel and Eddie, remembering that she hadn't introduced herself. "Name's Eliyen by the way, I'm a shade hunter."

Loki blinked into the House, appearing next to the Christmas tree. The trickster froze, turning so that their back was to the tree as their green gaze swept over the lodge. It had that House ambiance, what with the slightly dim room and the closed off feeling. They also felt that sudden severance from the branches of Yggdrasil, and concluded that this must be some other facet of the House. One that appeared to be more... solidified, in a way. The staircase that lead up to the second floor seemed to be just another part of the House, as well as the whole fancy get up, instead of the ever-shifting, bare hallway.

Samuel looked up when someone blinked in near him. He looked from his hands, which he had clasped in his lap. He blinked, studying Loki. "Hello," he finally said. "Who are you?" He could tell they weren't completely sure about the decorations, so he explained, "It seems to be set up for the holidays. It was decorated for Halloween a day ago. This looks like it's set up for Christmas." He stood up from the couch slowly, pointing toward the tree. "Not decorated yet, however. You're not from Earth?" Lucky guess. Mostly because of Loki's not seeming to understand the decorations.

"curveballs is almost too kind for words." raizel glimpsed away. "i admit he has given me trouble from the start, well... more like he has troubled life as a whole, but he has proven devotion and unwavering devotion for the longest time. He has, and continues to stand at my side, proving when needed and at times standing ahead, ready before needed. Aside from all of that, we have something in common, that makes it much easier to understand one another." his gaze was lost in thoughts. "it is a pleasure to meet you, Eliyen" he greeted back. "though, if my friend were here." he continued, "if i asked him to help with your plaugue, he would most certainly work tiresly to figure out a solution to your problems." he frowned, looking slightly dlwn. " i am sorry to hear of such struggles, your world is going thriugh." he understood many worlds existed, but to hear others were suffering , whether it be by human or natural causes made him feel like he was failing his duty. at the same time he felt helpless knowing there was suffering in other worlds, and he is unable to intrtvene. At the mention of another blinker, Eliyen addressed. he turned his attention as a means to snap out of his unhappy thoughts. seeing Myrnin he could not help but smile, "Myrnin, merry christmas!" he greeted, as the children told him it was a way to greet someone you appreciated, and at the same time an ezcuse to greet anyone likr that on that day.

[[ Winter Lodge || Mini Arlo || Anyone ]] Arlo only grew more worried when she heard Maladict. It seemed like a really bad situation no matter how she looked at it. She wanted to say something, to find a way out of the situation that wouldn't make things worse later. She wasn't sure what exactly the boy was or what powers he had, but she didn't think that any deal Maladict or herself made with the strange new blinker would end well for either of them. Why couldn't the House just make him disappear? The room had looked fun before... She twisted the chain of her locket, her gaze drifting to the floor as the boy spoke again, then started laughing... and suddenly stopped. The girl looked up to see that he'd blinked out just after he'd finished speaking, and so had the vampire. What did that mean? It could have just been a coincidence... Whoever he was, he couldn't actually be powerful enough to take people with him when he blinked... could he? The girl glanced over to the other blinkers for a moment before looking away again and walking over to the couch. Arlo pulled her notebook from her pocket and flipped slowly through the pages.

"Yes, bouts of insomnia is very close. But perhaps a better term is I have a hard time staying asleep," answered Vanessa. And she dipped her head in the dragons direction. "I am well enough. Thank you for your concern." Getting to her feet, she walked in the direction of the hall. "Hum," she said, thinking over what Salsa had said. "In my world, dragons exist. There are many different types, of course, but I have seen none quite like you. And if they desire, they can take on a human avatar. Though they rare desire to do such a thing." (Sorry for the wait!) Salsa's white eyes blinked at the wording but held her tongue upon quedtioning further. To her, it would be best to leave some subjects alone otherwise it would only open deep wounds that were formerly closed. "Hm, would you want to be the one to pick the room?" She hummed as she eased back into usually happy persons. Doubt lingered as she followed Vanesa at her side walking ahead at some points but faltering behind at different moments. "Different breeds I can deal with but ones that can create a human figure for themselves are strange to me. If you wanted to shift into the form of another creature you could easily use your own magic to shapeshift or you could be cursed to do so. Though some are born with the ability..." Trailing off her eye was caught by the doors that aligned the walls for mysteries lied behind each one. "That didn't take so long, eh?" "I do not know of any that can shapeshift," she admitted. "Dragons in my world can rarely be talked to either way. Only dragon tamers had the chance to, but they have long since left the world. What do you know of the humans that used to be in your world?" She didn't really know much about this dragon either. "Any perhaps you could tell me about yourself? Your interests, perhaps?" Vanessa scanned the walls of doors and then pointed at one of the nearer ones. "This looks like a good start." She reached out a hand, pulling the door open. (Room ideas?)

"Apologies.." Elliot looked away, to not her directly. Instead, his attention was briefly captivated by the room illuminating in decorations. A lot of these things were things he had never seen before. The trees were familiar, but the things illuminating from the tree, were not familiar. They didn't look like crystals, or fireflies in a bottle... or anything he was used to. After inspecting the room, his attention returned to Julia. "My guess, another festive ball of sorts." He couldn't help but shrug. "But much smaller then those I am being forced to attend for the time being." He shrugged now, "so long as I do not have to provide any ceremonial tributes, I am fine with being anywhere then where I actually had to be." He now looked at the vase with flowers he was holding. "It seems I will not be on time for a special appointment." He sighed now disappointed. Out of all the errands he had to run for the queen, there was a personal appointment he was more excited for out of everything he was forced to do. And then the house just decides to blink him, while he prepared to head out for this appointment. "I guess I wont be needing this." He shook his head, tossing the vase in the air. At the same time his turquoise eyes illuminated brightly, simultaneously the vase was engulfed by a dark shadowy flame, until it was entirely gone. "What were you up to before the house pulled you here?" He asked her now. "I was alone in the garden," she responded. It was what she usually did with her free time. Going back to focusing on the room, the woman nodded. "They usually hang lights like this in the center of town." It currently seemed as if the other blinker knew of similar festivities. He did look quite similar to a dleki. This did leave questions about what happened in Julia's first blink, the only time she had encountered a non-humanoid blinker. However, that was a thought for another time. As he mentioned the appointment, she spoke again, "From both times I was here, it seemed like no time had passed back home while I was blinked in." Could it be possible that she was wrong or it worked differently in his world? He seemed to be familiar with the House, so he wasn't completely new.

Kelsier blinked inlanding on the couch right next to Arlo, his odd gray cloak wrapped around him like a blanket and his hazel eyes closed. He looked sound asleep, flopping back against the soft couch, his chin bouncing gently on his chest with the sudden shift in his position, but if anyone happened to be watching, they’d have seen the muscles in his arm tense up instantly, and they might have noticed that he didn’t quite tip over the way gravity stated he should have. For about 70 seconds, he was near panic. He had no idea where he was, he could smell wood and food and something else, like water only colder. Probably a nobleman’s house, Skaa didn’t have the kind of delicate pastries he could tell were nearby... “Wait a minute.” Kelsier blinked his eyes open slowly, squinting against the sudden light...and smiled st the girl he discovered was sitting right next to him. “I remember now. This is that ‘Paradox House’ from before, isn’t it?”

Arlo looked up quickly when another blinker appeared beside her, nearly dropping her book. She didn't recognize him, so she expected that he was probably another newbie. Normally she would be perfectly fine with that, she enjoyed meeting new people, explaining the House, learning about other worlds and everything, but thanks to the last new blinker she'd encountered, she was a bit worried. The girl said nothing at first, waiting to see how he would react. Arlo relaxed a bit when the newbie opened his eyes and, rather than snapping at her and accusing her of bringing him there like Laharl had, he just smiled and asked her about the House- the Paradox House, which he'd apparently been to before. "Yes, it is," she replied finally, "Are you new here?"

Kelsier had expected her to flinch away when he spoke, and his eyebrows went up in surprise as she answered him, as calmly as though he’d been sitting there all along and hadn’t just appeared next to her, So this thing didn’t mind snatching kids so often it wasn’t even weird for them anymore. Good to know, “Oh, I’ve been here a couple times, but never for long enough to find much out,” he answered cheerfully, glancing around the warm room and taking in the fireplace, the rugs, the table laden with enough food to feed a town probably, and the other people and one dog gathered around something like a small wooden carraige with no wheels, for some reason. He paused, staring. Then he turned back to Alro and stared at her, taking her in again as though he expected to have missed something the first time. “I think that dog just said something.” He finally whispered to her, alarmed but trying to to alarm her in case she didn’t have a reasonable explanation on hand.

“I’m not particularly worried,” Ougi informed the dragon. She didn’t even consider that it would come to the point of needing to be caught; she was quite confident in her physical capabilities, even though she was just a kid. A twitched eyebrow said Kelsier had caught her a little off guard—she was almost disturbed by him appearing and coming near. Her face turned halfway so that he was just visible. “This is the best time to find these things out,” she advised, “Next time you may not be so lucky.” She was referring to the fact that for now, they were in a safe place. Even with her limited experience compared to the elder blinkers, she had experienced enough newbies overwhelmed by both danger and wild confusion. Upon the wolf’s command, the student retreated back to the closet. She had been certain it was only one sled the first time but now a second was present. She pulled it from its resting place and dragged it out to present to the rest of the blinkers. As long as Victoria wasn’t worried, she would follow willingly; it was a strangely wholesome thought for someone typically cold and rational.

She clicked her tongue. "Let me guess, dragons in your world were too smug to talk to anyone else besides their own kind? Oh, yes, about them....you see, humans seemed to take a liking towards harvesting and tinkering with magic but they played around with what they didn't understand. They managed to disappear after some catastrophe that very few know about or bother finding out since then, now there's beasts of all kind to replace their forgotten existence." She clamored on before her elongated feathers perked up dramatically. "Didn't mean to dampen the mood right there and then! Though if you must know I don't tend to stay in one spot in my world, there's always something to keep myself busy, my job isn't a reliable one as a tracker." The wildclaw's torn wings tucked tightly into her side as she approached the door that the other blinker had chosen, her head tilting as she began to stick her neck inside the door frame. "Mhm!" She agreed with a joyful mumble once passing through the dark doorway making room for her companion to squeeze through.

"Brr! It got chilly all of a sudden!" The voice of a young boy, this one a bit friendlier sounding then the last, called from outside one of the windows. As if the snow itself was coming to life, a large white shape rose to blot out it's view of the outside. "Hmm? Waaah! Why is there snow everywhere? It's not supposed to snow in the desert!" The white beast began frantically looking around, before realizing what was going on. "Oh!" He was back here again! After passing out from exhaustion in the forest last time and finally waking up back home, he had wondered if he was ever coming back here again. "It's a good thing we got out of there! Wish I could've helped more..." After unnecessarily voicing his thoughts out loud, what was visible of the dragon shifted around until one side of his head was peeking through the window. His gold eye began looking around the room as his large jaw opened in awe. "Wow! It's so pretty in there!" The house was covered in pretty lights and... other things! For some reason, somebody had brought an entire tree inside and left it in a corner, while also making it pretty as well. Since Christmas wasn't exactly something dragons celebrated, let alone one who was barely over a year old, this was all new to him.

[[ Winter Lodge || Mini Arlo ]]
"I can help with that," Arlo replied, smiling slightly. She was glad that he didn't seem to be too upset about being pulled out of his world. "What do you know so far?" She followed Kelsier's gaze to a group of blinkers with a sled, then looked over to the window. If the House gave them sleds did that mean that there actually was an outside here? "Oh, that's Victoria. I'm not sure if all wolves and dogs talk in her world, but she does," she paused, tilting her head slightly as she looked at the wolf. "Or the House might translate for her- it translates normal languages." The girl waved to the group of blinkers, her smile widening when Victoria asked about sledding. "That sounds fun! I probably need to explain the House to the newbie first though," she replied, then looked over at said newbie again. "Or I could explain outside?"

Kelsier looked from face to face as he was greeted by a girl, a dog and a a really big creature he didn’t have a name for, but looked as though it could probably swallow him like a pill if it wanted to. Choosing to ignore Ougi’s slightly menacing comment for the moment, the mistborn shook his head, eyeing the sled with both caution and interest. “No, sorry, I don’t even know what that means.” He offered the excited dog, then glanced up at the Chamomile. She struck him as friendly enough, for now, and how else was he going to figure out what was happening, if he didn’t take opportunities as they came? “Outside works for me, I want to learn how to ‘sled’ anyway.” He answered Arlo brightly, and got to his feet, stretching both arms high over his head before heading over to join the group with a quick glance back at the little girl to make sure she was coming,

Her breath clouded in front of her face. Snow crackled under her shoes, which she at least had. She didn't like the thought that she could have been walking around in her bare feet. Though slippers weren't exactly the best. Tracker ... "What do you track?" Vanessa asked. She frowned at the surroundings. There were a few animals around - reindeer? - but they were closer to the trees. "Any idea what is going on?" she asked. "With this room, I mean."

[[ Winter Lodge || Mini Arlo ]] "Okay!" Arlo agreed happily. She made a couple quick notes in her book for when she went back to writing in it later, then hopped off the couch, putting the book in her pocket. Since he hadn't specified what he already knew, Arlo figured she should just explain everything. So far it seemed like she didn't need have to worry about getting a response like last time, but she decided to try explaining things a little slower just in case. "The Paradox House can pull people in from different worlds and times," she started, walking by the food table to grab a few pieces of chocolate as she headed toward the other blinkers. "Some are human, some aren't, and some of the worlds have magic." She paused to point at the doorway that lead to the hall. "There's a bunch of doors over there that can lead to all kinds of things, but the outside part is new- I've never seen it before."

It looked like the others were planning on coming outside, so Mikhail was just about to back away from the window. "Huh? What's that?" He mused as picked up a strange scent wafting out from within the cabin. It was sweet, and made the dragon's stomach start gurgling. It had been a few days since his last meal, since he was currently crossing the desert. Besides cactus, there wasn't much on the menu out there. "Mmmm." Whatever was making the smell was right under his window, just a little ways away. Of all the times to actually be in his normal form here... Curiously, he began nosing at the glass, testing it. After a little messing around it turned out that with enough pressure to the side, he could slide it open. "C'mon.... C'mon..." Eventually Mikhail was able to get the tip of his muzzle into the window and gently pry it open. The wind of delicious smells that greeted him was almost overwhelming, causing him to start drooling. With barely an afterthought of a better way to approach the situation, the dragon simply shoved his barely able to fit head through the frame as the wall groaned from the force. "Ah!" He hummed happily as he looked down to finally see his original goal. It was a large plate of small, square brown things. Like a giant dog, he began nabbing them up one by one. The taste was completely unlike anything anything he'd ever had before, and his eyes closed as he ate. The young child in him was in heaven.

"Nice to meet you as well," Eliyen replied, then sort of shrugged. "Not your fault- not either of your faults. My world would appreciate a solution very much if it were possible of course, but I don't know that there's really anything that can be done about it- It's been here for centuries," she said simply. The plague was, unfortunately, just a part of life in her world. It was terrible, but there wasn't much that could be done as far as fighting against it besides hunting shades and trying to keep them out of cities before they could take over. "So it isn't just my world! Everyone here looked at me like they thought I'd gone mad when I said it was September a couple weeks ago." If it was the same month in other worlds, was it possible that one of them could be the New World? "Do both of your worlds have magic?"

Ougi rolled her shoulders back slightly. From Victoria's words, and Chamomile's encouragement of Kelsier, she was now hoping the plan wasn't to put multiple people on one sled. She desired to avoid that kind of contact with the others more than she desired to ensure her own safety during the activity. "Let's all go outside then," the student concluded to Arlo while she continued to pull the sled. She followed the wolf ahead of her with swift steps, prepared to be out in the cold even without a coat or even a jacket. She avoided the bonding moment with the newcomer, but she wanted to learn to sled as well, even though she had a level of understanding.
