"Trouble..." Raizel softly muttered displeased. "It is always unavoidable, but we try to make the best of it." He couldn't help but shrug feeling the heavy burden at just the mention of trouble. "I would rather not trouble myself with the details for the time being." He admitted. "Time is endless, and for that there is always time to learn." He turned his head towards another new blinker. He next returned his attention back to Eddie, "I take it this is a Christmas party?"He raised a brow , he wasn't certain but the children told him that a lot of people host parties on Christmas. His only assumption was that someone or this house was throwing one too.

Winter Lodge // Julia Julia blinked into the lodge. Her hands were in the pockets of her long, dark brown coat. As she noticed where she was, the edges of her mouth curved downwards into a frown. Not again, she thought. Once again, that place with the weird riddles - the Paradox House. She'd been here twice before, both times in different rooms. Now she appeared to be in some type of cabin.

Raizel took another look around the room, the decoartions and the lights just mismatched and yet fitting for the occasion. Humans were strange, but amusing nonetheless. "According to the people I live with, they celebrate Christmas every year." He replied back, "It just so happens that it is my first Christmas and they are working their hardest to fill me in." He smiled, appreciating everyone's efforts. "A party was being thrown at our house, which I am enjoying. I will admit it was a surprise for me, but all well nonetheless." He softly spoke. Seeing the man introduce himself, and even hold out his hand to shake, he shifted himself to do the same. It was still a new custom to him, to shake the hand of another in greeting. It was thanks to his friends that he was assuring himself to learn this new custom. He gently met the other man's hand, with his own shaking it careful not to force the shake. "A pleasure to meet you, Eddie Brook, I am Cadis Etrama Di Raizel, but you may call me Raizel or Rai if you prefer." he smiled. Hearing the man state his profession, he was hesitant. He was told by the others that a profession refers to a job, and while he could say Nobleese, that was often a bad idea. THen he remembered what the others' told him. "I am currently a student." He added on, recalling that student was a profession. At least, that is what everyone else claimed.

SησωElliot blinked in right in front of Julia, his tall upright demeanor, towering over her. It wasn't that he picked to blink there, more like the house set him there. He was holding a crystallized vase with holly flowers. His attire too was rather festive, his pins being candy canes, Christmas trees, and a holly flower along a belt clinging to his lower right leg. Over his shoulders he wore a coat, underneath he had a handmade square scarf, and below that a royal blue vest had snowflakes. There was plenty more knickknacks for the holidays, but he personally didn't seem pleased. Seeing Julia, he shifted his attention to his surroundings, coming to the conclusion that this was the House which liked pulling people with no reason. In silence he took a step back, to give him some room between him and the women standing before him.

"Hey that sounds pretty nice of them that they're trying. Sounds like you have some good friends." Eddie nodded along with what was being told to him about the occurrence of the normally whimsical holiday. Personally, he didn't like the holiday for a list of reasons he could say at the top of his head with little to no issue. "Besides Christmas and all that, do you friends do secret santa or just regular gifts under the tree? Normally people wait before midnight to open the gifts if there are any." He questioned all the while he shook hands with the Nobleese with a small shake, apart of him still surprised at the gentleness of the other blinker. Raizel's introduction garnered no suspiciosion until he hesitated, inadvertently did he catch him off guard? "Are you a high school student? College maybe? Sorry that I assumed, generally student can mean just about anything these days." Another question had left him, he lowered his hand once the shake was over though he didn't do it in a quick manner, moreso an awkward pace.

Ougi glanced down at the wolf at her side every few moments. It appeared that Victoria fascinated her somewhat, and she had focused on her since the comment about eating human snacks. Her sleeves swished at her sides as she walked smoothly down the hall, casting oddly long shadows in the soft light. She didn’t mind others coming along on their supposed exploration, but her focus was on her companion. “Can you speak human languages, then?” she questioned, her eyes curving slightly with curiosity, “or does this place translate your speech?” She stopped in front of one of the rooms; it appeared to be something like a supply closet, brooms, sleds, and ice skates visible past the ajar wooden door.

Winter Lodge // Julia As Elliot appeared directly in front of her, Julia's eyes widened in surprise. Great, just great. Not only did she have to solve another weird riddle - at least, that's what she figured - but blinkers were now showing up in her face. As she took a step back, she got another look at the room. There were a few couches and tables, but the most notable features were the large tree decorated with lights and ribbons in one corner and similar lights hanging on the wall. "This place seems to be decorated in festival lights," she observed, looking back towards the other blinker. They had reminded her of the occasional events that took place back in her world.

Victoria had found someone to stick with for this blink, as she usually did. She felt that perhaps Ougi could use her presence, and besides, she seemed excited enough to explore the lodge. The wolf paused, looking up at Ougi's question. "Hmmm? Oh yeah, I can understand all the people in my world and everything, and the House like, does all the stuff that's not in English so it all works out!" The wolf was distracted from her explanation as she saw the ajar storage closet filled with winter pastime goodies.
"Oh my gosh, a sled!!" Victoria barked, sticking her snout into the open space and pushing the door open wider. she grabbed the rope that was for steering the sled, pulling it out of the closet.

| Hi! I'm posting for Des again! |
~*~*~
Atreus turned to look at the mechanical wolf excitedly, no longer unnerved by her species. Sure, the wolves where he came from were dangerous, but Victoria seemed well fed. He didn’t really know the person the wolf was with, but he still jumped at the offer. “Are you guys going to look around? I’ll come, this place looks cool!” He rarely got to see homes with such a feel to them, as usually snow outside meant things were quite cold. He was also more familiarized with more clutter, all condensed into a small place. Compared to his house this room was massive, but compared to some temples it managed to still feel...comfortable. “You don’t think it’ll be dangerous, do you?” He hesitated briefly, remembering warnings he’d received in the past.

"Cool? Oh yes, it is quite cold here," the student agreed with Atreus. "Unfortunately, this place is safe. Except from us," she informed him, as if assuming he wanted it to be dangerous. Ougi's eyes dilated slightly in interest, as if she were studying Victoria as a specimen. "Ah..." she murmured, considering whether or not she believed that explanation. "Where I come from, there are no wolves." Much less talking ones. "At least, not anymore. Unless they are aberrations." She saw the wolf dragging out a sled, which prompted her to step forward calmly. She reached one hand up to the ajar door's handle and drew it open all the way, some skates and skiis sliding from their propped up positions and falling onto the floor with thuds and clattering. Without flinching, the student released the handle and lowered her floppy sleeved hand, feet together while her attention returned to Victoria. "A sled? I've... never used one before," she admitted, glancing between Atreus and the wolf with the device. She said it less out of excitement and more as if it were an excuse to continue her streak of never sledding.

"Christmas?" Eliyen repeated slowly as she put the pinecone back on the tree. She'd heard the word, but she didn't really know much about it. "I think I've heard of it."The elf walked over to remove her arrow from the wall before turning back to the other blinkers. "I don't mind a bit of trouble, but accidentally shooting another blinker isn't the type I'd want to get into," she commented, half to herself as she examined the arrow. So far everyone in the House was okay enough, even if a lot of them were human and there were a few vampires... did that really matter in the House? No one she'd spoken with had heard of the plague, so she probably didn't need to worry about that. She blinked a couple of times as she pushed the thoughts away and returned her focus to the blinkers. She would have introduced herself, but she figured she should at least wait for Raizel to answer Eddie's question.

"Pfft. Like I would even need you to send me back. This is just an inconvenience to someone like me." The newbie could tell how Maladict was having a 'great' time during the conversation, and he couldn't resist a smirk. Served him right for going along with whatever stupid idea the master of this house was trying to pull. "So you are a vassal. Just not one of my Old Man's." The new blinker mused, reaching down to retrieve the cookie he'd dropped before. He gave it a quick once over, as if studying it. Truth be told, these were far better then some of the batches that the castle servants came out with. Good enough to make the horrible scenery around them somewhat more tolerable, even. "Hmhm. Tell you what!" He hummed, smirk evolving into another grin as he bit into his food. "How about you become my vassals instead? If you do, I miiight be willing to conveniently forget this whole thing happened!" The prospect of being able to have great baked goods like this everyday completely took priority over teaching their boss a few manners. Besides, 'borrowing' all the servants would work just fine as a punishment anyway. Yeah, Maladict didn't know what to do with that information. This boy was by far the more annoying blinkers he'd met. However, he still wanted to protect Arlo and others. And this boy was dangerous, particularly if he found out things in the wrong order. But there could be something here. He took a small step forward and then bowed. "Tempting offer, my lord. I shall take you up on this kind offer if you could see it in yourself to forgive us." Was there any problem in him that he was doing this? Not particularly. Sadly, it was falling into familiar patterns. Now it involved more effective lying, he reassured himself.

Salsa dipped her head in return not before she retracted her clawed hand in a way she wouldn't tug on the girl's pajamas. "If you ever feel like something is needed, don't be afraid to do so." She advised with a sly wink. "What ails you so? Do you happen to have bouts of insomnia?" Nosy as ever she inquired about her erratic sleeping problems. At times she hadn't thought about having sleep problems or rarely ever sleeping nowadays. "A room? Of course, but only if you're well enough." The wildclaw grinned at the offer before responding right back to the other's questions. "Sornieth is more or less my world, not a clue if our worlds are alike. Though if I must clarify no one has found other masses of land out there and humans used to exist but a fairly short lived amount of time." "Yes, bouts of insomnia is very close. But perhaps a better term is I have a hard time staying asleep," answered Vanessa. And she dipped her head in the dragons direction. "I am well enough. Thank you for your concern." Getting to her feet, she walked in the direction of the hall. "Hum," she said, thinking over what Salsa had said. "In my world, dragons exist. There are many different types, of course, but I have seen none quite like you. And if they desire, they can take on a human avatar. Though they rare desire to do such a thing."

"My friends are really nice people." Raizel reflected on everyone back home. "Despite my situation, they do everything they can to catch me up on our current society." He smiled, almost blushing at the thought. "It can be frustrating at times, but it really is nice." He shook his head now, "I didn't know what a secret santa was until my servant told me shortly ago. After he told me, I felt bad that I had nothing prepared, but he prepared my gifts to gift others without me knowing." He felt a little ashamed. "We were waiting until midnight to open the presents." He recalled now, his attention turning to Eliyen, "Yes, Christmas as the kids said, is a holiday where people spend the day together to celebrate. I am still unsure as to what, but they say it is just a good day to have everyone you hold close togeher." He explained it to Eliyen best he could. The concept was still new to him, but the idea was really nice. Returning his attention to Eddie, he couldn't help but apologize, "Sorry, I strayed off our conversation." He felt bad, a little but he hoped the other man understood. When asked about the level of studies, he couldn't help but cross his arms after the handshake. He was told by everyone where they were, but at times they talked about other levels, making him more confused then before. "If I recall, high school." Raizel replied. "We were talking about colleges the other day, everyone seems very excited, though.. I personally feel it is too soon." He felt an internal tug. He was excited to be learning of the world, but for the topic of College, it was like too much. He only started learning about the last 900+ years, and they expected him to go the college that soon? "Everyone at school has been very helpful though, my friends and I were talking about part time jobs the other day, but Frankenstein says that I need not worry of such trivial matters." He disagreed with his servant's thoughts, he wanted to try it. To feel the struggle and pain but excitemnt that everyone kept talking about.

"Apologies.." Elliot looked away, to not her directly. Instead, his attention was briefly captivated by the room illuminating in decorations. A lot of these things were things he had never seen before. The trees were familiar, but the things illuminating from the tree, were not familiar. They didn't look like crystals, or fireflies in a bottle... or anything he was used to. After inspecting the room, his attention returned to Julia. "My guess, another festive ball of sorts." He couldn't help but shrug. "But much smaller then those I am being forced to attend for the time being." He shrugged now, "so long as I do not have to provide any ceremonial tributes, I am fine with being anywhere then where I actually had to be." He now looked at the vase with flowers he was holding. "It seems I will not be on time for a special appointment." He sighed now disappointed. Out of all the errands he had to run for the queen, there was a personal appointment he was more excited for out of everything he was forced to do. And then the house just decides to blink him, while he prepared to head out for this appointment. "I guess I wont be needing this." He shook his head, tossing the vase in the air. At the same time his turquoise eyes illuminated brightly, simultaneously the vase was engulfed by a dark shadowy flame, until it was entirely gone. "What were you up to before the house pulled you here?" He asked her now.

"The lodge usually doesn't have any rooms that are like, other places. So I think we'll be okay! Didja grab any candy or anything to eat?" Victoria asked the boy, looking back at some of the stuff that had been laid out for the blinkers.
"Really? No wolves? Why not?" Victoria tilted her head curiously at Ougi's explanation. The wolf didn't understand what an aberration was, but she figured Ougi would explain if she needed too. "Oh! In my world that happened a little bit ago, like the wolves weren't around anymore but now some of 'em are coming back. But like, I dunno, really, 'cause I don't see any other wolves, 'cause they're like, just wolves. So I guess I see some sometimes but like, we don't talk to each other or anything."
"We can use it now, if y'want!" Victoria barked, pulling the sled in front of Ougi. "You gotta sit on it!"
"I dunno, you think we could enchant it? Like, with what?" Victoria asked Chamomile, looking back on the sled. Maybe they could have Ougi sled inside!

Salsa's white eyes blinked at the wording but held her tongue upon quedtioning further. To her, it would be best to leave some subjects alone otherwise it would only open deep wounds that were formerly closed. "Hm, would you want to be the one to pick the room?" She hummed as she eased back into usually happy persons. Doubt lingered as she followed Vanesa at her side walking ahead at some points but faltering behind at different moments. "Different breeds I can deal with but ones that can create a human figure for themselves are strange to me. If you wanted to shift into the form of another creature you could easily use your own magic to shapeshift or you could be cursed to do so. Though some are born with the ability..." Trailing off her eye was caught by the doors that aligned the walls for mysteries lied behind each one. "That didn't take so long, eh?"

"Well, in my world the wolves haven't come back," Ougi explained. She stared down at the sled when Victoria informed her that you used it by sitting on it, and then crossed her arms over her front. "I'm no fool, I'm aware you use these outside. Let's go then..." She had turned and started to walk when Chamomile made the suggestion to enchant it. Her footsteps slowed to a stop and she realized the blinker was only meters away from her. "...Enchant?" she murmured. Her face tilted upward to gaze at the towering dragon, but her expression gave no hint of intimidation. She let the wolf question the dragon, curious for the same information.

"Nah, I don't think we want it to go faster or anything, 'cause that could be really dangerous, y'know?" Victoria commented. She looked back up at Ougi, who was not planning to sit on it any time soon. "Plus, like, it's her first time on a sled, so like, it's gotta go slow."
"Hey Ougi, you can sit on it and I'll pull you!" Victoria exclaimed, looking at the rope that was attached to the front.

The corner of Ougi's mouth rose a centimeter at Chamomile's comment. She heard Victoria's turning down of the offer, but ignored it. "Yes, please make it faster," she requested. Her head tilt swiveled away from the ceiling where she was addressing the dragon, and toward the ground where she was addressing the wolf. "Sit on it? Now? Should we go outside first?" she questioned. One arm rose straight out to point down the hall toward the exit, sleeve flopping. Before the cuff could settle, her arm was down again. To counter any questions about her dress before they arose, she added, "I don't mind the weather, I won't be cold." After all, she was never really seen outside of her school uniform and she seemed to manage in the cold just fine.

"Oh, I see... Yeah, I guess that does seem like kind of a nice idea for a holiday," Eliyen replied to Rai's explanation with a slight smile. It did seem like a nice idea... if you had people to celebrate it with. She decided years ago that she shouldn't let herself get attached to anyone, so she didn't really have friends in her world. Her sister was pretty much the only family she had left, and she wasn't even in the same world. Hopefully she was alright wherever she was. "I think I might have seen a few people decorating for it or something similar in some places, but I never realized what it was for. It's probably more popular in your worlds than it is in mine."She listened somewhat curiously as Rai replied to Eddie, it sounded like he was from a different world as well, but if that one was the New World that she'd been searching for, she didn't know. She had thought that there were only two worlds, but now she had no idea how many there were.

Matt blinked in - or, at least, it looked like it could be Matt, underneath the four coats, earmuffs and fuzzy red balaclava. He was rubbing his hands together vigorously and stomping his feet, trying to warm up. He was also completely covered in flecks of snow. “ - really have to go to her house this year - “ he was saying, then he stopped, the icy wind against his face replaced by the fire-heated air of... “Oh, the lodge...!” he said, voice muffled by his balaclava. He reached up, pulling the layers away from his face as they were no longer immediately needed. “Ha...ha...last time we were here, we caught it on fire...” he added, suddenly remembering. Then, the moment of recollection was gone, as he spotted the nearby group. “Oh, sick - is that a sled? I haven’t been on one of those things in like ten years.”

Our current society. Such words made the hair on Eddie's back rise up for him it sounded like Raizel was like a being that only just now came back to Earth. He'd known of the asgardians that would from time to time to have their fun on the small blue world he called home but most of that time it had resulted in some alien invasion. "You're trying - that's what matters." He continued speaking to the other blinker before his attention flickered back to Eliyen, who lacked in the holiday spirit. "Christmas is split up into two days, Christmas eve and then the actual Christmas, it always happens at the end of the year. People do it for the kids and bigger families, sometimes people celebrate other things too." He took the time to gloss over the topic of Christmas traditions as he quickly transitioned over the other subject at hand. "Yeah, I feel you," His gaze flashed a glint of regret. "Right out of graduating I got offered a full ride but halfway through it wasn't working out. Though - wait, when you say Frankenstein, you mean like a nickname?" To say the reporter was astonished was an understatement as he squinted at the mention of such a peculiar name. Normally after being told dragons and wolves talked, vampires and ghosts could become your best friend, it seemed like fiction was slipping into reality once more.

(i am readdyy)
Bass blinked outside of the winter lodge, kicking around a soccer ball. His eyes widened when the soccer ball rolled down the snowy hill, crashing into a pine tree. Wait...this place looked awfully familiar. The robot glanced around, only for his gaze to linger on the winter lodge, an enlightened "oooh" leaving his lips. "Didn't I burn down this place that one time?" He fondly remembered, "Good times, good times..." Except when some of the older blinkers found out and lectured the robot for a while.
