Ougi blinked in surprise when Victoria said she ate human food. That was a little strange, from what she knew about animals. When the wolf pressed her head to the student’s hand again, she looked down and attempted a smile. Her face ended up looking oddly worried, as the expression didn’t come out quite right. Her sleeved hands also looked quite helpless; she was typically quite dextrous even when using her hands indirectly, but the fine plastic on a candy cane was probably too much of a challenge. Without hesitation, Ougi’s hand protruded from her sleeve. She was wearing black gloves. The student peeled the plastic off rather quickly, then dangled the human treat above Victoria. “Here you go,” she offered. The smile had started to work a little better now.

[[ Winter Lodge || Mini Arlo ]] "Wha..?" Arlo stared at the newbie as he spoke. Clearly he hadn't listened to a word she'd said. Or maybe he'd listened but chosen not to believe her. "Actually no," she said, deciding to try again. "Like I was trying to say, we didn't bring you here, this place did. We call it the Paradox House, and you'll be sent back to your own world after awhile..." She paused as she looked around at the room- it was probably one of the nicest ones she'd seen so far. "If we really were trying to scare you and did have the ability to teleport people, we would have found somewhere that would work better."

Eliyen appeared just as she sent at arrow flying from her bow. Instead of hitting her target, it zoomed through the air and embedded itself it the wall. “Oops...” she said quietly. The House had a bad habit of blinking her in at bad times. “One day you’re going to get me into some major trouble,” she told the House, not really expecting a response. Noticing the decorations, she frowned slightly, confused. “What’s all this?”

Touka blinked into the lodge, eyes closed. She had snowflakes in her hair and her face was flushed with cold, and she looked, for once, almost peaceful. Then she opened her eyes and jumped visibly, jolted out of her brief spell of meditation by the sudden change in surroundings and temperature. But then, she relaxed...she knew where she was. It had been years since she’d last seen the place, but it hadn’t changed at all...this was the winter lodge. Just in time for Christmas, too. She allowed a small smile to flicker across her features, as she crossed the room and sat down, content for the moment to quietly observe the hustle and bustle of a room that, as far as she knew, held no particular danger to its occupants.

Shilo blinked into the House, wearing a bright orange beanie on her head and a camouflage, canvas jacket, with snow boots and warm snow pants. "My lungs... are freezing." She pants. Though as she takes a step forward she realizes that it hits a wood floor, and not the snow covered ground she'd been trudging through. She let out a sigh, brushing hair from her red, sweaty face. "Thank God." The child grumbled, shaking her boots clean of snow.
Shilo looked around the room, eyebrows furrowing. "Hello," the child greeted, stepping toward Touka. "Do you know what this room is?" She asked, wanting to be prepared for what it had to offer. The five year old was breathing rather heavily, clearly doing some kind of extraneous task before she'd blinked in and hadn't quite caught her breath.

Touka glanced up as a child entered, covered in snow and breathing heavily. Instinctively, she sat up in concern, eyes sharply scanning her from head to toe for injuries. Then she relaxed...no, she looked okay. Tired, but probably not hurt. “Hey,” she said with a wave, giving the girl a friendly smile in response to her greeting. She thought, maybe, she recognized her from other rooms, but she was pretty sjre she hadn’t talked to her before. “Yeah, I do, actually. It’s the lodge room - the House drops us here every year around Christmas...do you have Christmas in your world?”

"Riiight...." The boy rolled his eyes in exasperation, starting to grit his teeth. This 'prank' had run it's course and was starting to grow irritating at this point. He had better stuff to be doing, like stealing sweets from one of the servants stashes again. Or you know... Celebrating the apparent death of his old man, unless that had been a part of this joke as well.
Was he really gone? Just like that?
"You really think I'm dumb enough to believe something like that?! Some house, just decided on it's own to bring me here? Did you forget who you're talking to?" He was starting to grow agitated at the two, mostly the girl. Who did she think she was? If he had been talking to anyone else besides a small child, he would have sent them flying out one of the windows for such insolence. Maybe he could just use the older guy as an example instead... "I'll show you what happens when you dare insult me!" One of the new blinker's fists suddenly began blazing with fire, and flew back as he readied to throw a punch right at Maladict. Before it made it very far however, a very familiar smell hit his nose and he froze mid swing. "Eh?" He turned his head to find the source, and there they were, sitting on a plate in the middle of a table nearby. A batch of cookies, seemingly fresh from the oven. He returned he he gaze back to Maladict, contemplating if he should just continue with his current course of action. Then, the flames around his fist blew out and the boy simply gave him a narrowed glare, as if to say 'You got off lucky'. In almost the blink of an eye, he threw himself into the air and lightly landed near the table. Lazily leaning on it, he began downing them one after another. The current situation could wait for a few minutes, then he'd blow this joint.

Winter Lodge -- Maladict
"We have no idea who we're talking to," Maladict admitted. His hand rested on the hilt of his sword, just in case this boy was going to get violent. Could he use the sword? No. But he looked suitably like he could. And really, it didn't matter if he didn't know how to use it. He could use his bare hands far more effectively anyway. He didn't even blink when threatened with fire. He didn't want to die - it would be inconvenient for his clothing - but at least it would mean the boys attention was centered on him rather than Arlo. There would be the slight problem of him being died, but that was a matter for another day. It was only when the boy started scarfing down cookies that he looked over at the young girl, raising his eyebrows. "I don't think," he said in a low voice. "That he's going to believe you. I'd leave it for a couple blinks. He'll start asking questions sooner or later. For now ... we need to keep from being burned." And that meant, as far as Maladict could concern himself with, acting like the boy knew what he was talking about. And lying through his teeth. "Excuse the prank ... sir," it felt like it should be a 'sir', though if Maladict's father was around, it would have been no such thing. "It wasn't our idea." And if he'd said something wrong? He took a step in front of Arlo. If he'd said something wrong, then he was a lot more resilient than she probably was.

“Oh, it’s your birthday? How exciting,” said Touka, leaning forward a bit as she listened to the girl talk. She seemed like a sweet little thing - and apparently, not very afraid of the House, either. She seemed excited to be here, and she’d expressed nothing but relief when she’d noticed the blink. Maybe her own world wasn’t so great...? Touka herself was quite familiar with the concept of having better friends in the House than in her own world. “So, how old are you turning?” Six, seven maybe? That was her guess just from eyeballing it, but admittedly, she had never spent much time with young kids.

[[ Living Room || Mini Arlo ]] Arlo stifled a gasp when the boy's hand caught fire, her wide-eyed gaze darting between the newbie and Maladict. She'd seen people with powers before, but they'd never threatened anyone as far as she knew. "Please, we-" she stopped when the scent of cookies drew the boy's attention away. She looked up at Maladict and nodded slowly, glancing momentarily at the angry newbie. Thought she wanted to stay more, she remained quiet, not wanting to put either of them in danger. She had powers now, but they wouldn't exactly be useful when she didn't really know what they were or how to use them.

--cato phoenix mintedstar/fur(Sorry for the late reply.) "W-what?" Just about to throw another one of the baked foods into his mouth, the new blinker dropped it back onto the plate. Forcing his attention back towards Maladict and Arlo when the vampire spoke up, he managed a look that was both offended and confused at once. "That answer might work for the kid. But you, a demon who looks like he walked right out of some Noble's mansion, doesn't know who I am?" Did that mean these two weren't vassals? If so, that made Maladict look even more suspicious. To even further that feeling, "'Sir?' Do I look like an old man to you?" The boy snapped at the vampire. Oh, so now he was starting to act more respectful? The newbie decided to play along, if only because he enjoyed being talked to like that. "Oh really? Care to tell me who's idea it was then?"

Ougi eyed Eddie and tilted her head slightly, almost as if she were trying to listen to him more closely. It would seem he hadn’t experienced the lodge before. This was one opportunity to see who exactly had been blinking here for a long time and who was less experienced. “-Uh...” she said suddenly, attention drawn back to the wolf enjoying the candy cane. It was certainly an odd sight, but in her world she had seen stranger. “No, actually.” She didn’t give so much as a thank you. The student crossed her arms, black gloves re-hidden, and examined the spreads of snacks around them. Nothing really appealed to her— perhaps it had to do with being an aberration.

(Hello y’all,,, I wave from a distant realm. Sorry if this makes things difficult, and I’ll probably be incredibly slow, but the holidays are making me miss y’all :c Anywho, have Tre)
Atreus blinked in, looking around wildly. He didn’t see other people in his world often, so the arrival of several men in the abandoned temple was sort of surprising. By the sound of it, there was about to be a fight too...which was mildly disappointing. When he saw he was no longer standing by his father he wandered away from his tense stance, sighing loudly. He wished people in his world could be more like the ones here. Happy and chipper and...he took another deep breath of air, this time with more consideration. This room smelt...delicious! His eyes spun around the features of the Christmas decor, baffled but ecstatic. He couldn’t tell what it was meant to be, but he liked it. There were a lot of people blinked in as well, he noticed, most to deeply engaged in conversation for him to feel as though it were appropriate to interrupt. Instead he found his way to the tree and fireplace, marveling at the strange comfy atmosphere they emitted.

My motivation to RP died. >.< I'll be a bit poofy. ))
Maladict's nose wrinkled and he looked around the room. He didn't really want to deal with the newbie, mostly because he was clearly not going to be nice about the whole ordeal. But he was too polite to excuse himself. "Owner of this place," he answered, adding. "Please excuse us, sir." The word 'sir' would have to be pried out of his cold hands now. He wasn't having the little boy telling him what to do. Anyway, he wasn't even lying. "They wanted to play a prank on you," he said. "We didn't have much choice. And we can't send you back, I'm afraid. We're just ..." he waved a hand around until it gestured at the plate of cookies. "The ones who refill the plates."

"A kitchen?" The edge of Ougi's mouth twinged slightly. Her first experience in the Paradox House's rooms had been a test of baking in a kitchen room. She didn't seem to mind the creaking of the dog's metal parts, just nodding willingly. "Of course. I don't think I examined this place properly the first time around," she explained. She recognized Atreus, and acknowledged him with a sturdy look. "Come if you like." It ended up being directed toward the blinkers around them. And it didn't suggest any enthusiasm toward people joining her in examining the other rooms. "It's an annual... celebration," the student explained to Eddie in passing, turning her head to murmur to him lowly but not tilting her face up to make eye contact.

(MERRY CHRISTMAS/EVE EVERYONE ) Danny blinked into the Lodge, laying on his back in human form across the top of one of the couches. The front of his coat was covered in a light dusting of snow and flakes were caught in his hair, but he didn't seem to mind. He had been lying on a park bench before, and the sudden switch to something very soft caught him a little off guard. Voices surrounded him on all sides, and the smell of cinnamon and chocolate mixed with fresh pine wafted past. The halfa's eyes cracked open and he turned his head to look out at the room, a small smile creeping across his face. It was that time of year again.

"Pfft. Like I would even need you to send me back. This is just an inconvenience to someone like me." The newbie could tell how Maladict was having a 'great' time during the conversation, and he couldn't resist a smirk. Served him right for going along with whatever stupid idea the master of this house was trying to pull. "So you are a vassal. Just not one of my Old Man's." The new blinker mused, reaching down to retrieve the cookie he'd dropped before. He gave it a quick once over, as if studying it. Truth be told, these were far better then some of the batches that the castle servants came out with. Good enough to make the horrible scenery around them somewhat more tolerable, even. "Hmhm. Tell you what!" He hummed, smirk evolving into another grin as he bit into his food. "How about you become my vassals instead? If you do, I miiight be willing to conveniently forget this whole thing happened!" The prospect of being able to have great baked goods like this everyday completely took priority over teaching their boss a few manners. Besides, 'borrowing' all the servants would work just fine as a punishment anyway.

The commotion around him began to blur as his focus had begun to rest on Victoria, Ougi, and Atreus. The three didn't seemed so disturbed as the a few others in the room, the somewhat loud mouth boy in the distance. "Celebration? I get that but the house bothers to change to regular holidays is, well, pretty weird." Eddie commented with a sceptical look at their bright and joyful surroundings. He didn't see the other blinkers eyes but who would bother giving him any eye contact of sorts? Afterall, he'd admit no one would give a second thought about a loser like him.

It was surprisingly a good day for Raizel. No end of the world fiascal, nor kidnappings or attempting to take over the world. With that in mind, everyone decided to throw a Christmas party, something the Nobleese was very confused and lost about. Wasn't it just another day? No? Okay... And so, everyone decked out and even decked him out against his will. They dressed him in a red dress shirt, and replaced his neckerchief with a white tie. On his chest pocket, he had a holly pinned. He wasn't against it, just confused at first but also marveling at the lights blinking on the tree. The colors, and decorations and even the music that synced with the lights. Seriously... He had decided to step away, step outside on the balcony to embrace the fresh air. He decided to slowly close his eyes and feel the air against his face. His hands resting on the rails, as he leaned out. Upon opening his eyes, the view of the street was now replaced with holiday themed cheer. This room was very different then the room he was in a few minutes ago. He was no longer hanging onto the rails, had he realized this sooner he perhaps would have lost his balance. The cold air was gone-and the silence was replaced with chatter. He looked down then up, then over towards others spotting Eddie in the distance. He was back in the house, the place that seems to drag you in when you least expect it. The nobleese shrugged it off, as this has now become another part of his day, similar to the children coming over to his place daily, this was another strange cluster of friends who were dragging him around. It didn't bother him, he appreciated the massive increase in company.

Winter Lodge // Julia Julia blinked into the lodge. Her hands were in the pockets of her long, dark brown coat. As she noticed where she was, the edges of her mouth curved downwards into a frown. Not again. Once again, that place with the weird riddles - the Paradox House. She'd been here twice before, both times in different rooms.

The Nobleese decided to take a moment to straighten his attire, not that it hadn't been ruffled with but the blink in, ruffled things just a slightly tad bit. He examined himself after straightening, then turned his attention towards an approaching voice. It was Eddie, though Raizel was not too familiar with this individual. He nodded to the individual who waved, then proceeded to approach calmly. He couldn't help but look around to see if Myrnin was around. Seeing as he wasn't around or at least unspotable in the crowd, his full attention returned to Eddie when he came to a complete stop. "This room I am unfamilair with, but I have had a few encounters here." He softly replied to the other man's question. His attention had turned slightly over to Eliyen, who's arrow flew in a random direction that followed with her loud question. He too wasn't exact on the answer, but the decorations looked somewhat similar to the way Franky and the others set their house. "I believe this is Christmas?" He replied to the young lady, not too sure himself. He had only learned about the holiday a few hours back.
