(Well, I'm here again! So RPing it is! )
Smokescreen would have gotten the view of Maladict looking back, but still stepping through the doorway. Clearly, he was unaware of the fact that if you walked through the door it usually cut you off from the hallway. Puzzled as the door was replaced with a window - and snow behind it - Maldict turned his head. He gaped a bit. There was a tree in one corner of the room he'd entered. He didn't get that. Why bring the outside inside? And there was a cracking (and he could tell fake) fire behind glass. Plus rugs and couches were around the room and there were doors on either side. He took another step into the room, looking upwards. It also looked like there was an upstairs. Each window he could see showed the same thing: a snow filled outside with a light touching of sun. He started to walk around, noticing another door positioned to the right of the tree. This one seemed to lead outside, at least. The fire was securely behind glass and there were several strange knobs. He reached out, hesitantly, and spun a couple. The fire - or the light that emulated fire - dimmed. "What is the point of a fake fire place?" wondered the vampire. He didn't feel cold, however. It was rather nice, despite the snow outside. It was all rather strange, how this place worked.

(If you read the last post that should be exactly who's currently in the lodge (just Mal) and that it's day and there's a fake fire in the fireplace. That's really all. Mal's all alone. ^^ )

(Hey Echo Haha I feel that. Just go for it, we don’t judge first posts Cx ) Smokescreen jogged after the man who had just walked through the doorway, ducking through after him. A somewhat familiar sight greeted the autobot on the other side, the warm hues of the lodge coming into view. Every possible surface was decked out in festive decor, and a an evergreen taller than Smokescreen stood nearby strung with tinsel and lights. It was odd to see the lodge recreated so perfectly, last time he had been here the entire structure was completely demolished by fire. The sound of the man speaking drew Smokescreen’s attention back towards the enourmous stone fireplace.... that now housed a fake fire. “Vibe?” Smokescreen offered. “Less of a danger?”

[[ Christmas Lodge || Mini Arlo ]] Arlo blinked in, sitting on the floor by the fireplace. Her hair was tied back in a ponytail and she was writing in her notebook. For some reason, she looked worried. The girl paused and looked up quickly when the cold winter air and the sound of the wind in the trees was suddenly replaced by warmth and the crackle of a fire. She was alarmed at first, but soon realized she was in the House. Her gaze traveled from the fire around the room, landing on the tree and eventually on the other blinkers. There weren't too many, just Maladict and the... giant robot? who she'd noticed a couple of times, but hadn't spoken with. She waved at them as she got up. "This looks nice," she said. "It's a little late, but it looks like the House decided to celebrate Christmas."

Christmas Lodge -- Maladict
"What now?" asked Maladict, looking at Arlo. His posture was still the standard, even movements of grace that all vampires seemed to possess. "Cris-mess?" He tried to sound out the word. Was bringing in a tree normal for someplace that wasn't the Disc? Was all ... this ... something that was supposed to happen? He couldn't actually say he cared for it. The whole idea of foreign things was ingrained into him: you didn't like them. They weren't to be trusted. They were Abominations. "Hello again," he greeted Arlo. But though he didn't know what was going on, the child had been polite to him.

For a moment Arlo looked surprised, but then she remember her last conversation with the vampire. Different worlds, different years, different coffee makers. It made sense that they would have different holidays as well. "Yeah, Christmas," she repeated. "It's a holiday in my world in the last month of the year. People decorate a tree in their houses and put gifts around them to open on Christmas Day and drink hot chocolate and there's stories about someone called Santa Claus who lives at the North Pole and brings presents to kids," she explained as she walked over to the tree. "There's more to it than that of course. You don't have anything like that in your world?"

“I didn’t think it was possible for humans to survive at either pole.” Smokescreen commented, looking confused. “It’s too cold, even for Autobots.” His blue optics observed the girl curiously as he tried to figure out why she seemed so familiar. She reminded him of someone, but he couldn’t exactly recall who. Finally he just decided to ask. “Have I met you before?” ( --cato phoenix mintedstar/fur )

Ougi blinked into the lodge and nearly tripped over Victoria, gracefully catching herself and dancing over the wolf instead. She pirouetted and spun hwr dangling sleeves around, then lowered them at her sides. “In time for Christmas?” she turned her head to observe the fireplace, the windows, and the festivities. Ah, so it was the same place she had been soon after she began to blink into this place. Truthfully, she didn’t have the best memories of it. The student bent her arms at the elbows and slid both hands behind her back, marching away from the fireplace and looking down at Victoria. “Do you celebrate Christmas where you’re from, then?” She queried.

"I doubt anyone really does- Like I said, it's a story," Arlo paused for a moment, thinking, then shrugged. "Of course, I never thought stuff like this was possible either."At the Autobot's question, she tilted her head slightly. There it was again, that look of recognition that kept reminding her that she'd been there before. It was so strange to think of. Slowly, she shook her head. "Not that I know of, my name's Arlo," the girl replied.

“Arlo? Aren’t you, uh......” Smokescreen narrowed his eyes, clearly trying to figure out what was going on. After a few seconds, realization seemed click into place and the bot’s expression relaxed. “ Oh, gotcha. I’m Smokescreen. Nice to meet you.” He didn’t completely understand what had happened, but memory loss wasn’t exactly uncommon here in the House or even in his universe. At least he knew why she looked familiar now. A few more people appeared near the fake fireplace, also familiar but not enough to know names. He stepped back a little, trying to make room as the front of the room got more crowded, and almost tripped over an overstuffed couch. This place was not built for his species. “So “Christmas” huh?” He said, getting back to the earlier conversation. “What’s up with bringing an entire forest inside?” The bot gestured to the garland and pinecone decore, along with the tree. “Ah, yes, I know.” Ougi smiled down at Victoria, but of course, a warm smile for the student was basically impossible. Ever since she was almost consumed by the darkness though, it was closer than before. She raised her head to acknowledge Smokescreen, remembering him from an encounter or two. She didn’t bother to explain the festive decor, even though it would be quite simple too. The girl seemed familiar, but was apparently new. “From what I remember, this place isn’t dangerous. That is to say, unless we make it dangerous.”

Supposed to be older? Dead? Again Arlo was tempted to ask, and again she found herself unsure if it was a question she really wanted the answer to. "Nice to meet you too," she replied instead, pushing the questions to the back of her mind. One day she would ask... but not yet. She picked a candy cane out of a box by the tree and unwrapped it before putting the end of it in her mouth. She turned around just in time to see the Autobot almost trip over the couch. "Watch out!" she shouted quickly. "I'm... not actually sure how that part got started," she started slowly. She was surprised to find that despite all the questions she asked about other worlds, she wasn't sure how to answer what she felt should be a simple question about her own. "I mean, it... looks nice I guess and it's fun to decorate? I've never really thought about it."

Winter Lodge - A very confused Mal -- »ƑαƖcση --cato phoenix(I just love how the Disc has weird names for things and it's all perfectly normal for Mal, so he doesn't get why people keep laughing.) "Oooooh!" said Maladict, eyes widening. "We're talking about Hogswatch, aren't we!" He looked around again. He supposed he could see it now, to some extent. Some countries did celebrate that holiday, where the Hogfather was supposed to deliver gifts to children. "Borogavia doesn't really celebrate. It's a foreign holiday." He tried to be tactful and not 'it's really, really against our religion'. Because that was everything in this room, really. But it made him feel sort of ... itchy to be around things he was supposed to hate and just ... not see why. He looked around, since while he'd been making the connection more people had been blinking in. But he didn't really find them very interesting, so he looked back at the strange metal creature that had introduced itself as Smokescreen. "I'm Maladict," he said. "And I don't understand all the pine-cones either." He pointed at what Arlo was eating as well. "Why are you licking a very small walking stick?"

Arlo turned to the vampire again, staring blankly at him for several seconds before slowly repeating him, trying not to laugh. It was rally hard- from what Maladict had told her, it seemed that everything in his world had names that would be considered ridiculous in her own. "Hogswatch. I've... never heard of it being called anything like that, but maybe it's sort of like your version of the same holiday?"She had managed to keep from laughing at the mention of "Hogswatch", but at Maladict's last question the girl nearly choked. "V-very small... walking stick," she stammered through her laughter before getting it under control. "It's called a candy cane, they're a type of candy that's popular around Christmas. They come in a lot of flavors but a lot of them are peppermint," she explained.

LODGE TIME LODGE TIME)
Touka blinked into the lodge, eyes closed. She had snowflakes in her hair and her face was flushed with cold, and she looked, for once, almost peaceful. Then she opened her eyes and jumped visibly, jolted out of her brief spell of meditation by the sudden change in surroundings and temperature. But then, she relaxed...she knew where she was. It had been years since she’d last seen the place, but it hadn’t changed at all...this was the winter lodge. Just in time for Christmas, too. She allowed a small smile to flicker across her features, as she crossed the room and sat down, content for the moment to quietly observe the hustle and bustle of a room that, as far as she knew, held no particular danger to its occupants.

Winter Lodge -- Maladict -- Absolutely anyone who wants to deal with the coffee addict can
And there she went again. Laughing when he didn't get the joke. Maladict's eyebrows knit together. "I don't even celebrate it. But it is strikingly similar." He looked in the direction of the window, seeing Touka appear while he was gazing in that direction. It was snowing outside, which implied it was one of the two Disc Winters. Which didn't make much sense. "It isn't Spindlewinter or Backspindlewinter," he added to Arlo, looking back at her. "That's when Hogswatch is, anyway. It's Secundus Autumn, just the start of it." And he didn't get why she'd been laughing about his other question either. It was a logical question. "At least I got the cane part of it right," he said, blushing a bit. But he hurriedly did his best to get his face under control. He didn't blush. It wasn't proper. "I see," he said after her explanation. "And is it for the rich?"

Ougi had been looking up and around at the other blinkers, and her attention was once again drawn when she felt Victoria’s head at her hand. She drew her sleeve over the wolf’s head and neck to stroke the sentient animal. “Treats...” she murmured, charcoal gaze blazing throughout the room in a quick frenzy of observation. “But... are there treats for dogs?” she questioned. She saw plenty of human food, but didn’t spot dog treats or anything similar. Perhaps she just didn’t notice it. Still, an opportunity for investigation.

(I guess I overestimated my 'staying awake' capabilities last night oops. :I I passed out right when I started this.)
"...Wait a second."
A boy, who looked no older then thirteen appeared in the lodge. For the most part, he looked like your average human kid, if you ignored the fact that he had pointed ears and a questionable fashion sense. His hair color, along with his choice of hairstyle probably didn't help that case either. His eyes were closed, as if he were lost in thought, which also resulted in him failing to notice his change in location.
"You're telling me I've been asleep for two years?!"
How in the hell had that happened? He had only meant to sleep for ten days! And to boot, his old man had decided to kick the bucket during this 'nap'? Of all the things to end up sleeping through... What a pity he hadn't gotten to see it... Or cause it... When there was no immediate response from the vassal who'd woke him up, the boy's red eyes flew open to glare at her, only for his look of irritation to be replaced with suprise. "W-what the hell? D-did she give me a concussion or something while trying to wake me up?" Instead of his bedroom, the area around him had morphed into something out of a nightmare. It was a simple looking house, nowhere near the grander of the Castle. Colorful lights, decorations and tons of other gaudy stuff was plastered around every inch of the place. The cheerful atmosphere was already starting to make his skin crawl. He began rubbing his eyes in disbelief, waiting for the 'hallucination' to fade away. If he was imagining horrible stuff like this, he must had been thinking about his mother again before being woke up. It reminded him of the things she'd describe when she would talk about something called 'Christmas'. Boy, was he going to look stupid when he snapped out of this...

[[ Winter Lodge || Mini Arlo ]] Arlo tilted her head slightly. Two winters? That sounded confusing, no matter what you called them. "It's winter in my world- January second. We only have one winter though.""No, they aren't expensive or anything and you can find them in a lot of stores. I guess they're harder to find in some countries than others though..." She paused, her gaze drifting momentarily to the tree, then back to the vampire, feeling a little guilty. He clearly had no idea what she found so funny about his world. "Sorry," she said finally. "I guess I'm just used to other worlds being more similar to mine..." She trailed off, then shook her head. "Actually I think the similarities might be why it seems so strange. It's like you have so many things in your world that are similar to my world, but are completely different at the same time."

Winter Lodge -- Mal The vampire gave a small jump when the newest blinker appeared and he turned slowly, looking back to see who it was. His eyebrows rose slightly. Well ... the boy looked more confused then he did at least, but Maladict was hardly suited for introducing a new blinker. He looked to Arlo for this. "One Winter?" he said, almost weakly. "That seems just as odd to me as two seem to be for you." It seemed like both of their worlds were oddities to the other. And by the look of things, the newest blinker wasn't going to be from either of them. Maldict didn't think he was a vampire - of the Disc at any rate - he didn't carry himself in quite the right way. He agreed with Arlo, however. Cris-mess seemed just as odd (and a bit funny, but he wasn't the sort to laugh in unfamiliar company) as Hogswatch probably was for her.

[[ Winter Lodge || Mini Arlo ]] "I guess it probably does," Arlo replied to the vampire before turning to wave at the new blinker, a boy who appeared to be a little older than herself. "Hello, welcome to the Paradox House," she started, launching into an explanation just as she would- or had- countless times in the future. "I know this sounds hard to believe, but you've been pulled out of your world. We can't send you back, but you'll go back on your own after awhile to the same moment the House pulled you from. Normally there's a hallway full of doors that lead to all kinds of things, but right now it looks like the House has changed for Christmas, so I'm not sure if it's still working the same way."

Why wasn't it going away?
Ever so slowly, the arm that the boy had been using to rub at his eyes lowered. Surprise was no longer the emotion expressed on his face, instead his eyes were now narrowed in irritation. This wasn't a hallucination, was it... Hearing voices nearby, he quickly turned his head to directly glare at whoever was talking, just now realizing that he hadn't been alone. The one speaking to him was a...young girl? Next to her was a guy who was wearing a fancy outfit. Probably one of the Old Man's vassals. He must have been in the process of training the girl into the job as well, why else would she be here? Everything the girl said pretty much went over the new blinker's head. Once again, He was starting to get his own idea of what was going on. "Oh, I get it. You guys, along with the rest of the vassals got bored and decided to pull some kind of stupid prank on me!" He huffed, crossing his arms. "You thought you could catch me off guard by teleporting me to some dump in the middle of nowhere that you covered in...this crap! You were probably hoping I'd be terrified or something, right? Well sorry to rain on your parade, but it didn't work!" The boy proudly puffed out his chest and his mouth formed a cocky grin, revealing his fanged teeth, as if he'd just accomplished some great feat. "Try something better next time. It'll take more then this to bother me!" His feelings inside were a bit different however. The cheery, holiday atmosphere was legitimately making him uncomfortable, although he wasn't going to let these guys know that. He also had to, begrudgingly, give them credit. This was a pretty elaborate joke from the looks of it and had actually left him confused for a sec. When it was over, maybe he'd let them off lightly for bothering him this time.
