@brambleisback: That's super helpful! Honestly I usually just use my laptop for most classes at this point. It's been forever since I've done a speech (though I have to give a seminar presentation in about a month and I'm already super nervous for it)

Yeah, I'm not the best at speeches anyways. Sadly I decided to enter myself in a competition, and I'm really anxious about saying my speech to so many people.

@brambleisback: Aww, well here's hoping it goes well anyway! What's your speech on?

My speech was on why everyone should be treated equally, but I did have something else in mind that I just forgot. The competition rule was to make it sort of persuasive... Honestly, it reminded me of a long time ago in Grade 5 when we had to do this.

Take it from an old lady, they resurface a LOT throughout grade school. I think I did my first one (on cats, funnily enough) in the third grade, and continued to give them right up until Grade 10 (my last one was on....reality TV shows I think?)

Yeah, I think next year there will be no more speeches, for sure.

At least, even though pretty much everyone hates them, you'll make a huge improvement with your public speaking ability? I find you start off with classes where over half the kids are terrified to talk in front of the class, but now that I'm in university I don't think there's anyone who doesn't speak loud enough during presentations or any of that.

Yeah, that's true. For example, 7 years ago or so when I was really young we could barely hear each other. Anyways, anything going on?

Nothing too exciting, currently just studying for a midterm. Some friends from my theatre group and I did go out to brunch this morning though, that was fun.

Cool! I was doing a bit of studying too, a lot actually, and caring for my picky senior rabbit.

Nice! Any subjects in particular, or just generally?
And aww, bunnies are sweet. One of my roommates had a senior rabbit named Rocket up until a couple months ago, she passed on (but had reached the ripe old age of 14).

Yeah, it's really sad when bunnies die. I had a bonded pair when I was a child, but they died at 12 1/2. Currently though my Winston baby is 10.

Oh wow, that is a good long life for a rabbit, you must be taking very good care of him I'm very familiar with the senior pet scene. Although I'm not sure of his exact age, after doing some research I figured out my old fish Watson (who only recently died) was somewhere around 4 (I would have gotten him at 3). And my dog, although she currently lives with my parents, is pushing 16. We've had her since she was a baby.

Can't say I've had a rabbit (sadly, I love them <3) but I've had LOT of cats, lol. One I had named Gracie lasted until she was 17, which is VERY old for a cat, around 80 cat years. We ended up putting her down though, she was going through a lot of bad health. I also have a still alive cat, 11 years old, who thinks he's still a kitten, which is funny. Thankfully, he's a very healthy cat.

Aww, that's so sad about Gracie! Maybe one day I'll get a cat after I get a job.

Cats seem pretty fun. My parents are definitely dog people so I've never owned one yet. Although, in all honesty my dog acts more like a cat so I guess it wouldn't be too much of a stretch if I got one.

Probably XD. My parents are totally rabbit people. My uncles are rabbit breeders too, which is awesome even though they live in the USA, which is far from Canada.

Cloud: That's an impressive age for a cat! My dog who's 15 is the oldest dog we've ever owned. She's a small breed though (a Shih-Tzu) so they do tend to live longer. @brambleisback: Oh yeah, that would be pretty far. Breeders can be hard to come by sometimes (especially good ones). My dog is from a breeder, but it was less of a "this is a reputable breeder" scenario and more of a "please lady (who was my mom) hurry up and buy this dog to save it from the awful situation it's in". (For the record the breeder was a really heavy smoker, over a decade later my dog still has breathing problems/gets asthma attacks), it was really dirty in the place, and the breeder herself was moving due to a bad home life situation. So we got the dog.

Oh, yeah, there are a lot of 'not so reputable' breeders around my area.

It's such a tricky situation, like....?!?!
You want to help the animals in need and give them good homes but at the same time you don't want to support irresponsible backyard breeders. I really want a Corgi for my next doggo, so I'm most likely going to end up having to get them from a breeder, unless there just happens to be one in a nearby shelter. But I've already gotten into the research process of finding good ones, last thing I want is to bring home a pupper who has a ton of health problems from the get-go.

@brambleisback : OHHHH OK. I'm sorry then, haha! I've never read DOTC, but that makes sense/sounds like a plot thing I would expect. I seem to have a knack for choosing names the Erin's really like (I ranted on a previous post about making a character Dovewing before she was cannon in the books). No hard feelings dude, I jumped to a conclusion No no you're cool. I asked about Star Flower because of your sn, not to make fun. It was a genuine question. But now that I know that you haven't read DOTC, I won't ask again. cx

Maplestone360: Yeah! No worries dude I've been super slow on getting through the series since POT. I've read through most of OOTS since last year (I hadn't been into the series for years but picked it back up again this summer when I was bored). So I may start DOTC once I finish this arc, I'll keep you posted! Cloud: That makes sense, Cloud! I'll definitely take a look when the time comes.

Ayyy! Nothing too important. I achieved the Lucky Leprechaun hidden status somehow. Other than that, just been studying this morning, just took a break for a quick jog outside.

Aha, other than the waking up late, sounds like a pretty accurate summary of the last decade of my life O_O Why must people feel the need to talk in all of their classes....Like you're there to learn not be social -_-
That sucks that it took time out of your lunch hour though! I guess I'm a bit of a hypocrite, I'm really bad for having all three meals in a given day unless I'm home/my mum is cooking for me, ahah. It's not even that I CAN'T cook, I'm perfectly capable, just lazy and disorganized most days.

Literally, our school has so little time for lunch that I am now accustomed to eating lunch quite fast. When at special occasions that involve eating food, I can't help but finish my meal very quickly who,e everyone else is stil, halfway done. It is beginning to become quite a bad habit! I hope our school changes the lunch hours to make them a bit more realistic.
