Eclipsesky raced into the camp, his rage at an all time high. With a new found courage and a duty he moved to the front of the camp. Standing in front of tall rock he took a deep breath. "Cats of Windclan! I have an announcement." he yowled, his tail lashing as he spoke. "As you know Dawnshadow and I have just returned from moonstone. Starclan has given us a vision that has brought something very disturbing to our attention. There is a murderer in our clan!" he announced with a growl. "The deaths of Harmonysong, Beetleclaw and Cheetahheart were no mere accidents. They were murdered in cold blood by our own warrior." he turned eyes glaring into Meadowbrook with pure hatred. "Meadowbrook. Your sins have been revealed. What do you have to say for yourself?"

Splashstone stood still and silent at Rainfeather’s side, looking down at his mother. Expressionless, empty. He could see Grasslight, choked and saddened, pressing close to their mother’s remains, and yet he could not let himself show what he was feeling. More than anything, he coldly cursed Starclan. Of all the miracles they had pulled before, they could not spare one for the she-cat who had raised him? Was this some ill punishment for her breaking the code? For him existing? If so...then he did not need such a power in his life, to mindlessly follow. He narrowed his eyes and his head hung low.
Furyflame watched from afar, not wanting to look at her mother’s body up close.

Meadowbrook turned sharply at Brownleaf’s side, lifting her head from the gorse she had been removing. Her eyes trained on Eclipsesky, a calm bewilderment hiding her piercing fury and hatred. Of course, Starclan would be biting at the heels to ruin her plans. They had never cared for true justice in their joke of a code. She stormed forwards, calling up.
“What?! Have you gone mad?!”
Blacktail’s eyes widened with surprise, the strength of Eclipsesky’s accusations shocking him. Was this true?! Starclan would not lie about such things, would they?”
“That’s impossible!” Siltpath gaped. “Meadowbrook isn’t a murderer! She’s my friend, she wouldn’t kill a clanmate!...You had to have read a sign wrong, or-or had a bad dream instead!”
“But-...but Eclipsesky and Dawnshadow are our medicine cats! They wouldn’t lie to us!” Thorndash exclaimed, shooting Meadowbrook a suspicious and dangerous look.

Swiftstar leaped to his paws as the medicine cat spoke. "Eclipsesky, what is the meaning of this?" He asked, more confused than anything. The normally calm and shy medicine cat looked more agitated that Swiftstar had ever seen him. He padded over to his side, growing more horrified as he listened. Were Eclipsesky's words true? He turned towards Meadowbrook.

Soulspirit pressed against Cinderscar, her eyes wide with shock at the sudden revelation, “Is it true?” She whispered, looking at her mate.

Silverspirit's eyes widened. "You attacked Stormfury!" she yowled in realization. "You tried to kill him too, and you got him banished!" Anger coursed through her pelt as she dug her claws into the ground.
Sunstep frowned in confusion. He had been on several patrols with Meadowbrook and she seemed perfectly fine. This didn't make sense!
Fireblaze's attention turned to Meadowbrook and then to her sister. Had the she-cat really been responsible for Stormfury's banishment? Well it's not like the tom didn't have it coming.

Eclipsesky moved closer to Meadowbrook, rather unafraid for a cat who barely knew how to defend himself. "Cheetahheart and Harmonysong both gave me signs. I saw their bodies laying in a meadow. A brook of blood flowing between them. What could have been more obvious. Why Meadowbrook? I want to know why." he gritted out.
Sandfall watched in horror, blinking in realization as Silverspirit spoke, his ears flattened as he glared at Meadowbrook.
Goldheart watched bewildered, slinking into the corner of camp to watch from afar.
Sagefoot swept Larkkit and Juniperkit close to her, herding them back away from Meadowbrook and Eclipsesky.
Larkkit whimpered quietly, not liking the sound of her clanmates yelling.

“Stormfury attacked me!” Meadowbrook snapped. “He clawed up my pelt, if you remember! As for these accusations, they are hare-brained! Why would I ever kill a clanmate? Beetleclaw was my kin! I mourned his death, and Harmonysong’s!” She looked around at her clanmates. “You have all patrolled and hunted and worked alongside me! I have always been loyal to Windclan!”
“Loyal to tunnelers, you mean.” Thorndash muttered, narrowing his eyes.
“As if you know a thing about Tunneling!” Siltpath hissed at Thorndash, squaring up with the older tom.
“I find it funny, that you lay out these accusations only after Stormfury comes to visit the camp.” Splashstone finally spoke, his voice heavy and cold as he glared at Eclipsesky. His connection to Starclan now made the younger tom disdainful and aggravated. Meadowbrook had been the only one to genuinely believe he was more than his blood. He continued firmly.
“Suddenly Starclan speaks? After all we’ve lost in the flames, and they tell you that the cat who “caused” Stormfury to be banished is suddenly some killer? Sure.” He muttered.

Hickoryfrost widened his eyes at the accusation, unsure of what to believe. She was a fellow tunneler, but he never really spoke to her that much.
Slushfur's fur bristled as Meadowbrook defended herself, flattening her ears. What Eclipsesky was saying made sense. She looked to Blacktail, wondering what her mate was thinking.
Gustpaw and Silverpaw stuck close together, watching the scene play out.

“I saw the signs too!” Dawnshadow stepped forward to defend her mentor. “I saw with my own eyes the sign from starclan.” She snarled at Meadowbrook. “You killed my mother! You killed your own clan mates.” She was furious, the normally calm she-cat filled with rage.
Breezefoot bristled in anger. He believed his daughter and the words of the medicine cat. “Traitor!” He hissed in anger at Meadowbrook. “You killed your own clanmates. Can’t stand moorrunners that bad?”
Birchstep looked towards Meadowbrook in confusion. She had never seemed violent or anything on his many patrols with her. Could she really have done that?

Ashsong’s ears flattened against her head as she heard the accusations against her sister, looking at Meadowbrook in shock. She felt what the medicine cats were saying were true, but she struggled to understand why her sister would do such a thing.

“I have killed no cat.” Meadowbrook lifted her head, coldly and firmly standing her ground. If Eclipsesky and Dawnshadow desired a confrontation, then she would not go down without a fight. She could already hear the quick blame from the moor-runners, and defense from the tunnelers. The clan was divided as it always was, and she fell back on the words of her supporters. She hid the deep desire inside to look at Breezefoot and tell him how satisfying it was to see the light fade from Cheetahheart’s eyes as she struck the ground, in flames. She cast him a single sharp look, before her eyes trained firmly on Eclipsesky and Dawnshadow.
“This is the length you would go to punish me for the banishment of your friend, Eclipsesky? Dragging your apprentice into your grudge?” She snapped. “Using the deaths of clanmates in your anger?”
Grasslight looked horrified, though Stonepath looked up from his kits to stare long and hard at his kin. Meadowbrook had never shown signs of such awful intent...but what if it was true? Did she truly kill his uncle?

Dawnshadow glared at Meadowbrook. “How dare you call Eclispesky a liar!” She hissed. “This is no game and this is no trick. Starclan showed us what we needed to see.” She stepped towards Meadowbrook. “You killed those cats!”

"This is ridiculous!" Brownleaf suddenly snarled, breaking out of the initial shock of Eclipsesky's words. "I know Meadowbrook better then any cat here, she would never hurt her clanmates. I can't believe you would even suggest it!" He glared coldly at the medicine cats, standing beside his mate.

Meadowbrook held her ground, stronger in drive now that Brownleaf was at her side. “I refuse to cower for accusations like these!” She looked at Swiftstar, exclaiming. “You can’t truly believe these baseless lies!”
“The tunnels...” Stonepath whispered suddenly, a cold realization filling him as his heart sank. He turned to look at Sagefoot, dread filling him. “Dustfire’s attack, Sagefoot. No Riverclan cat would have pulled off something that seamless. All of the dead have been Moor-runners...but Dustfire was not killed.” His eyes darkened as he mewed. “It had to have been...”

Sagefoot nodded quickly, "Yes! Stonepath and I had discussed this! How would a Riverclan warrior know the tunnels so well? How could they have caught Dustfire so off guard if they had never been there before?"
Fallowmeadow bolted to her feet, staring at Swiftstar with intensity now that their son had been brought into this. Her tail lashed, "Dustfire too? Meadowbrook how could you?"
Eclipsesky walked closer, mouth drawn back in a snarl. "I never mentioned Stormfury once. You leave him out of this." he spat. "Yes you caused him to be banished unjustly, that I believe, but you didn't ruin him. He's happy there and I have accepted that. You? You're a miserable excuse for a tunneler Meadowbrook. You think you were trying to uphold a Windclan tradition but all you've done is destroy families and tear the clan apart. You don't belong here anymore."

Swiftstar lashed his tail, fury burning beneath his pelt. If what Eclipsesky was saying was true, then Meadowbrook had killed several of his clan-mates, made a fool out of him by tricking him into banishing Stormfury, and blinded his son. "Enough!" He said loudly, lashing his tail. "I won't have the clan further torn apart by flinging accusations." Padding slowly towards Meadowbrook, he narrowed his eyes. As much as he believed Eclipesky, he couldn't pass judgement until he was absolutely sure. The last thing he needed was another Stormfury hanging over his head because of his rash decisions. "Meadowbrook, you have been accused by both of your medicine cats of unspeakable crimes against WindClan. I do not believe StarClan would lie to them, nor them to us."

Meadowbrook narrowed her eyes at Eclipsesky, her ear flicking as she let his words roll over her. It was almost comical, seeing the weak tom act so tough. Surely he felt invincible, with Starclan at his beck and call. Hatred swirled in her stomach, and she felt an urge to tear at the Medicine Cat’s throat.
At least, until Stonepath and Sagefoot had spoken up, bringing up Dustfire’s injury. Cold and calm anger grew in her, realizing that many of the clan were beginning to see the logic behind it all. Now with Dustfire in the mix, Swiftstar would surely overrule her. She growled anyway, looking around.
“You did...didn’t you?” Stonepath rasped quietly, before his sadness turned into cold anger. “You killed him, didn’t you! Our own kin! My uncle, you killed him! Beetleclaw was one of the fastest Moor-Runners in the clan! He would have never allowed himself to be outrun by a fox!” He accused.
Furyflame bristled, as Thorndash gave an angry hiss.

Fernheart looked at Meadowbrook in horror. It made sense, how could a Riverclan cat even know of the tunnels, especially know them well enough to sneak up on Dustfire. That traitor blinded her mate. He would never be able to see his own sons because of her.
Breezefoot snarled towards Meadowbrook. “I say we give her a taste of what she gave.” He growled. “Chase her off with her tail between her legs and if we comes back.. well she’ll be sorry.”

Fallowmeadow tried to stay calm as Swiftstar spoke, but being told her sister had been killed and her son had been blinded by the cat in front of her obviously wasn't sitting well with the she-cat.
Eclipsesky took a deep breath, casting a slightly guilty look to the leader before stepping out of the way. His job was done, Swiftstar determined Meadowbrook's fate now.

Dustfire had been close to the nursery when the clan began to mention Meadowbrook in correlation to his blindness, and he felt his pelt begin to prickle. Was it true? She had seemed so sympathetic when he lost his eyesight...and now she might be the cause of it all? The late nights of self doubt? The fears that he would never be good enough for his clan, his kits, his mate? The worry that all that was left for him was the elder's den or death? His mind spun, unable to think straight.

She wouldn’t do that!” Siltpath cried out, the young tom looking desperately at Meadowbrook, only to gape lightly as the she-cat suddenly blinked coldly and stared directly at the leader. She eyed Swiftstar up and down, before she lashed her tail. “I’m almost impressed, that you managed to see it. Yet it took you so long, as it always did. Windclan has been divided long before either of us were born, and yet you never did what you should have done. You lead Windclan for the Moor-Runners. We spent our lives taunted and disrespected doing work that has saved and fed countless cats. And yet, nothing you have ever done has changed anything. Windclan is weaker than ever, thanks to you.” Her eyes flashed darkly. “Even now, it’s achingly easy to split the clan apart. You’ve overlooked countless qualified cats in favor of your precious moors, cats that would lead Windclan with greater strength than you ever could. You did not change anything...and so I made changes and took it into my own paws.” She finally admitted, knowing when she was beat, as bitter as it made her. She lifted her chin. Death did not scare her, nor did banishment. “W...what?...” Siltpath’s ears fell, his shock shared by Splashstone, who shook his head slowly.

Fallowmeadow let out a low growl as Meadowbrook belittled her mate. "You kill my sister and you blind my son. I will not sit here and watch you insult my mate. You are a disgrace to Windclan. You think killing strong able warriors is going to make our, no... my clan stronger? I don't think so."
Eclipsesky padded back over to Silverspirit and Dawnshadow, watching the clan turn against Meadowbrook one by one, a strange sense of satisfaction crept through the medicine cat like a vine, he shuddered shaking his head to himself trying to get rid of the unsettling feeling.
Sagefoot backed away from Meadowbrook further, pulling Larkkit and Juniperkit with her. "I can't believe you used our tunnels for your evil schemes."
Wolfstep lashed his tail, eyes searching for Hazelear in the crowd to make sure she was okay.

“Our deputy is frail. His strength is leaving him, and had he been younger, I would not have needed to assure that your next choice of deputy would be a deserving tunneler. The clan did not need arrogant senior Moor-Runners who never respected the tunnelers.” Meadowbrook decided coldly, looking at Fallowmeadow with a flash of her teeth.
“Nor do we need the likes of anything related to Swiftstar’s weakness.” She flashed back to Sagefoot, eyes narrowed as she snapped. “Everything I have done was for the better of the tunnelers! We strengthen the clan, we have stood in silence, belittled by our clanmates. Windclan needed change!”
Blacktail’s stomach curled with disgust and silent realization as he remembered the last cat that had spoken and acted like this. He could see Fallenlight as if she was still here, still killing and preaching for Adderclan.

Swiftstar felt fury rise up beneath his pelt, and only a whisker beneath that was shame. Was Meadowbrook right? Baring his teeth, Swiftstar's pelt began to rise as he spoke. "You're wrong Meadowbrook. Tunnelers and Moor-runners may have differences, but that doesn't make them any less WindClan. Just as the forest needs all five of the clans, WindClan needs tunnelers and moor-runners equally. You are the one driving them apart with your hatred, and lies." As he spoke his chin rose higher and higher until he had assumed a strong, yet dignified stance. This was not the same leader that had banished Stormfury all those moons ago, a new confidence radiated from him, breaking through the self doubt that lingered.
"Meadowbrook you murdered Harmonysong, Cheetahheart, and Beetleclaw in cold blood. You caused the banishment of Stormfury, and you blinded my son Dustfire." His voice dropped into a cold hiss. "When you earned your warrior name you promised to uphold the warrior code and defend WindClan, but you have betrayed us all. I Swiftstar, leader of WindClan, hereby banish you. You are no longer welcome in our camp or our territory. You will find no rest anywhere in the forest, for I will make sure every clan knows of your treachary. You will live the rest of your miserable life far away from the clans, and the moment any of my warriors so much as scent you I will track you down and end you myself."

“Ah.” Meadowbrook looked at Swiftstar, hatred in her veins as she glared coldly at him. “Do you think banishing me will fix all that you have failed to fix? Windclan will fall apart under your leadership, and you could never understand half of the clan you claim is so united.” Her claws extended, before she looked around, her eyes training on Brownleaf as her voice sounded to the clan.
“Very well then. Know that my loyalty has always lay with tunnelers, and with what Windclan should be...I strived for leadership that finally allowed us to be more than a silent force of work at the paws of arrogance. Your leader will never respect your work, and nor will the cats who run above our tunnels. You deserve stronger leadership.” Her eyes trained on her mate for long minutes, not wanting him to know this way, this early.
“You...you...” Siltpath shook a bit, cowering as he felt a sense of betrayal. Stonepath and Grasslight snarled at Meadowbrook, now knowing she had indeed killed their uncle.

Swiftstar lashed his tail, his eyes narrowing to slits. "Blacktail, Birchstep, and Fallowmeadow, if you would please show Meadowbrook to the border." He narrowed his eyes at Meadowbrook. "I may not be a tunneler Meadowbrook, but I was chosen by StarClan to lead this clan, and as long as I'm around WindClan will not fall. You've been warned what will happen to you if you threaten my clan again. Now get. Out."
Dustfire snarled in Meadowbrook's direction, finally feeling like he could grasp what was happening. It was her fault he was so useless.
Silverspirit hissed at Meadowbrook, if it weren't for her Stormfury might still be here.

Birchstep nodded to his lead and moved towards Meadowbrook to push her towards the entrance. He couldn’t believe she’d kill her own clanmates! Tunneler and Moor-runners had their differences but to kill over it?
Breezefoot flicked his tail in annoyance that he wasn’t asked to escort the traitor away. All he wanted was to rip her to shreds for what she did.

Fallowmeadow slunk to the other side of Meadowbrook, eyes narrowed as she bumped into her sharply in the direction of the entrance. The usual kind she-cat was hidden under a shell, only a rough exterior remaining as she looked at Meadowbrook. Fallowmeadow didn't think she could hate a cat this much, especially from her own clan, but there she was a cat she had spoken to many times, had offered advice to. The cat that had killed her beloved sister and blinded her son. Who knew what else Meadowbrook had been planning? Attempts on Swiftstar's lives? The murder of her moor-runner kits? Taking a moment for a breath she tried to compose herself. She had a task to do. "Move." she mewed sharply.
Eclipsesky watched the patrol, some of his anger starting to fade as it was replaced with worry to what wounds his clanmmates may return with if Meadowbrook were to attack them.
