"I'll be sure to. Don't worry, I'll be fine." With that the she-cat turned around and made her way into the tunnel. She continued on, stopping a few times to lick at her paw pad that still had a large thorn pressed deep into it. The skin was beginning to turn red and puss was starting to ooze out from around the thorn but the she-cat ignored it; she had work to do. Following the tunnel systems the she-cat checked the walls and ceilings, marking off any entrances she came across and making a map in her head of any and all collapsed or weak tunnels.

(I don't think Dash wants anything to do with Swift at the moment.)

Swiftstar padded onto the scorched WindClan territory, trying his best not to cough. The scorched ground certainly wasn't helping as every paw step kicked more ash and soot up into the air. He coughed lightly a few times, but continued to pad on, a determined look in his eyes.

Dashclaw followed after his leader. Harewhisker helped Frostpetal.

Fallowmeadow trailed behind her mate, Wolfstep at her side.
Jasmineheart tried not to cough as they entered the soot-filled land.
Sagefoot flattened her ears, worried about her kits' health.

Blacktail looked around as they traversed back towards camp, his yellow eyes gleaming with heaviness at the damage. “I’ve never seen the moors like this...in all the moons I’ve been alive.” He admitted.

Soulspirit walked next to Cinderscar, looking around at the territory sadly. She looked down at her paws, seeing the spot starting to turn her white paws gray.
Crowfrost followed after Swiftstar, flicking his ear in annoyance at all of the ash that was being kicked up.

Breezefoot helped Fernheart into camp, moving to help his daughter lay down and placing Cloudkit next to her.
Heathersky settled down as well with Ravenkit and Ashenkit.

Brownleaf’s ears flattened as he saw the blackened landscape.
“Great StarClan...” Spottedclaw gasped, looking over the destroyed moor. “I hope the tunnels aren’t too damaged.” He mewed worriedly.

Sagefoot settled near the other queens, instructing Larkkit and Juniperkit to stay close to her.
Fallowmeadow gazed around at the camp, her heart heavy.

“Hopefully they’ll be sturdy enough to rebuild them properly.” Meadowbrook nodded to Spottedclaw, though she looked at Brownleaf with searching eyes. “I am glad that you are here, Brownleaf. If I had lost you...”

Stonepath weaved his way through his clanmates, siddling up to his mate and daughters. He leaned down to press his muzzle to Larkkit’s ears as Juniperkit sniffled. “Where’s the big gorse wall?”

“Hopefully they’ll be sturdy enough to rebuild them properly.” Meadowbrook nodded to Spottedclaw, though she looked at Brownleaf with searching eyes. “I am glad that you are here, Brownleaf. If I had lost you...” ”Well, you didn’t.” Brownleaf replied, brushing his pelt to hers. “We both made it out okay, and we’re not going to lose each other anytime soon.” He assured confidently.

Meadowbrook looked at him for a while before she eased herself and offered a firm nod of assurance. "Of course. I would not leave you to deal with all of this by yourself, after all." She had noticed the way Blacktail seemed to be more lethargic and limping a bit. He was old, certainly. It was bittersweet, in a way. Blacktail would have made an ideal leader now, for tunnelers and for the strength of Windclan. His older age though meant he would never gain the lives by the time Swiftstar lost all of his.
The fire had not taken enough, clearly, to her cold annoyance. Even so, with Cheetahheart gone, it was another candidate out of the picture. Swiftstar would choose an experienced deputy due to his own pitiful weaknesses and doubts, that she was certain of. It was what Fallenlight had taught her, and Fallenlight had not been wrong. Meadowbrook glanced at her mate, feeling her paws work at the burned grass. Brownleaf was a strong candidate, surely, if the Moor-runners lost their best warriors, and the clan's most experienced tunneler would probably soon fall to his age. They were so close, so close to the vision she saw in her mind. All they needed was a bit more time.
She twined her tail with Brownleaf's, pressing close to him and nodding. "We'll rebuild Windclan, stronger than ever before."

Brownleaf purred as Meadowbrook leaned against him. “I wouldn’t want to do it alongside anybody else.” He answered. He turned his head to once again look at the moorland. It probably wouldn’t take long for WindClan to recover, their territory was quite sparse compared to the other clans. “We should go see what we can do to help.”

Patchriver padded out of a nearby tunnel and made her way toward the group, stepping in beside Swiftstar and speaking quickly. "Most of the tunnels are weakened but can be repaired. Several have collapsed and will need to be re-dug." After finishing her words the she-cat moved and fell into place beside Goldheart, doing her best not to limp.

Larkkit purred, grinning up to her father "You're back! Yayyyyy"
Sagefoot pulled Juniperkit close to her in comfort. "It's alright little one. The fire took it away but we'll build a new one. It'll be even better than the last!" she mewed trying to get the kit excited again.
Goldheart gave Patchriver a smile as she joined him. "How were the tunnels? The fire didn't do too much damage to them right?"

“I’m back.” Stonepath nodded with a calm and humored purr, though he grew serious once more as he stood protectively near his daughters, looking around the charred camp.
“I...I guess so...” Juniperkit nodded lightly, though she looked around again. Seeing everyone in the clan moving around together was nice though. She perked up a little bit, looking at her mother. “I’m glad we’re not sitting on the cold rocks anymore!”

Larkkit batted at her father playfully, seemingly unphased by the ruined camp around them. "Can I help with anything? I wanna be a good warrior and help the clan!"
Sagefoot hummed in agreement "Me too, highstones may have kept us safe during the fire but we don't belong there. The moor will always be our home."

“You can help by doing what you always do, little one. The clan needs normalcy in times like this...” Stonepath explained, his voice stoic but meaningful. He did not show his grief for Rainfeather’s death, but he did hope that she was still watching over them.
“I love the moor.” Juniperkit decided. “...Mama, will this happen again?” She asked.

Larkkit seemed to deflate, sighing softly she nodded "Okay, but our mossballs are gone. What are we supposed to play with now?" she asked with a tilt of her head.
Sagefoot laughed at Juniperkit's declaration. "I love the moor too little one. And we hope not. I have never seen a fire like that before and I hope neither of us will ever see one again."

“You can play with my tail if you like.” Stonepath looked down at Larkkit with a soft look filling his blue eyes. He cared little for anything else, knowing his kits and mate were all safe. He lifted his tail, flicking it in front of Larkkit.
Juniperkit moved to clamber at her mother, lifting onto her hind paws and pressing her forepaws to her side. “Are all the tunnels okay? What if we don’t get to be tunnelers?” She fretted.

Larkkit batted at his tail, practicing the strikes he had taught them in the past. Larkkit was lithe and lean, the classic Windclan shape despite the Shadowclan blood running through her. She smacked her father's tail with clumsy accuracy, purring in delight each time she made a hit.
Sagefoot placed a paw on Juniperkit's back to steady her. "Your father checked the tunnels himself with our clanmates. They need to be repaired but they are not gone. We will repair them quickly and you will have no problem being a tunneler."
(Man I wish Stormsplash was Stonepath's father too XD Their kits would have Shadow River and Wind blood then ahaha )

(True XD )
“You, my little one, will make a fine hunter.” Stonepath chuckled lightly, moving his tail to the side to entice her to chase it. He glanced up at Sagefoot, looking at her for a while with a sense of tired relief, as she kept Juniperkit calm. They truly did make for a great team.
“Good! Because I plan to dig in every single tunnel one day!” Juniperkit bragged, waving her tail excitedly. “Papa checked the tunnels? Is that why he had dirt on his back when he came back?” She giggled.
