"Oh... Okay. I'm sorry..." Scarlette said embarrassed. She started putting her clothes neatly in her dresser. It was awkwardly quiet, but she didn't want to get on her roommates bad side on the first day by trying to converse with her. After she was done putting her clothes away, Scarlette finally got up the courage to say something. "Would you like to go on a trail ride?" she asked. "You don't have to talk."
Trail riding was Briar's thing and Blud Red needed to be shown around the grounds for the fourth consecutive year in a row. She wasn't exactly looking for a partner to ride with but she would take the opportunity anyway. "Yeah, sure," Briar grunted as she threw her torso forward and sat up. "My mare is in Sunglass. If you're in a different stable, just meet me at the main building and we'll go from there."

{ ᵒ ᵒ ᶜ } omg im about to die i accidentally closed the window and lost everything i just typed ugh rip me{ ʳ ᵖ } "I feel you one hundred percent, dude." Anna rolled her eyes and sighed slightly, taking another sip of her coffee after forgetting once again that it was cold. "Clover is a huge alpha mare. I don't know how, but she's conniving. She's never physically attacked the horses in her paddock, but she's still top dog. No clue how. Sometimes, if I had taken her out and she missed feeding time, when I put her back her bucket remains untouched even though she's in a paddock with 4 or 5 other steeds. It's astounding, really." she could talk for hours about this horse. Clove had so much personality for one animal. Granted, she was a 1500 pound animal, but it was still a lot of personality.
"I'd like that." Anna smiled warmly. It was nice to have a friend, or at least the beginning of one, already. And this girl was really nice, so being friends would be really easy.[ that sucks omg btw sorry for short posts I'm tired ] Ray let out a snort of laughter and rolled over onto her side so that she could see her new roommate better. "So I have this tradition that I've been doing since freshman year. On the first day, instead of going to the banquet that they hold for the students, I stay in and order out. Chinese, pizza, Thai, it's changed year to year. You in?"

"Okay," Scarlette replied. As soon as her roommate stepped out of the room, Scarlette let out a sigh of relief. She knew this was a good way to get through to her. It was an equestrian academy after all. Scarlette headed down to Ladybright stables, tacked up Black Beauty/Dixie and headed to the main building. She anxiously waited for her new roommate there.

[ it's alright! ]
Blud Red wasn't exactly the easiest horse to take care of or tack up but somehow Briar managed to do both. It was probably because of her hard resolve, or the fact that the gelding and the girl were equally as grumpy and rude. Briar knew she didn't want to use her decked-out-in-bling saddle for a trail ride so she picked out the saddle that her dad had been using for years upon years. It was worn and bleached but it was comfortable and well-known to both rider and mount. After a little bit of cleaning up and tacking up, Briar headed out to the main building, still wearing her pajama shorts and t-shirt. "Ready?"

{ ʳ ᵖ } Practically bouncing on the bed at that idea, Anna beamed and had the goofiest, biggest smile yet. "Absolutely! Staying in, not socializing, eating food? I'm game." it was true, these were 3 of her favorite things, besides, you know, Clove. Realizing she still hadn't dressed her bed, Anna lackadaisically started grabbing a pillow, her sheets, and her duvet; but she didn't do anything with them. It was a mirage of productivity, when, in all actuality, she just took them out. That's it, for now.
"So, what were you planning on ordering this year? I love any kind of food, so it's up to you." Yep, she was one of those. One of those high metabolism eat-entire-pizzas-but-lose-weight girls. She didn't realize how much of a blessing it was, because even if she wasn't she probably would still eat how she does.

Briar ;; Briar sighed and leaned onto the horn of her saddle. Why couldn't she just choose? Whatever, it allowed her to choose a more difficult trail so that she could actually have fun and maybe calm down a bit in the process. It still didn't mean that she would talk though. "The best one is behind the greenhouse. I'll take the lead." Without hesitation, Red moved forward and in front of the Arabian mare before beginning to make his way to the greenhouse with Briar's instructions. Red wasn't exactly in the mood to deal with others either so the trail ride was certainly going to be an interesting one.
Ray ;; "P's and Q's just started delivering this year. It's a restaurant in town that all of the students love, especially myself. Do subs sound good?" Even though Ray had been born and raised in the south, she absolutely loved New York subs, New York pizza, any New York style food really. However, she didn't have a great love for the city. She preferred older cities in the south over newer cities in the north that were composed of mainly skyscrapers. By far, though, her favorite type of cities weren't cities at all - they were little podunk towns with lots of antique shopping to do.

She just couldn't make this girl happy. Scarlette clicked twice to Dixie and the horse started walking behind the other horse. After a few minutes of more awkward silence, Scarlette hesitantly asked "I know I said we didn't have to talk, but can I at least know your name?"

Nocono ;; Nocono had been at the prestigious Mountain Gate Equestrian Academy for a week now, helping the administrators and staff prepare for the incoming students. It hadn't been hard work, mainly just cleaning out the stables and classrooms and making sure everything was in good order. Almost all of the seniors had arrived when he did so the work had been split up into pretty small parts, too. Everyone agreed that it was hard to believe that this year would be their last. Even Nocono spoke up for once and told the people around him that he would miss this place more than he ever imagined when he first started attending. Now he was just biding his time until the last two days of summer break were over and classes started by hanging out around campus, riding, and going into town. Just then he was riding, having tacked up Cam early in the morning so that they would be the first in the freshly dragged ring. Now the ring looked like a thousand horses had been through it and Cam looked like he had been put through the hardest trials a horse could imagine. In truth, they rider and mount had just been having fun cantering around the ring and hanging out.

Briar ;; Briar grunted and leaned back in her saddle, keeping her legs firm around the barrel of Red. "Briar Melbourne." For some reason she was in an exceptionally pissy mood today and just couldn't take much more of her new roommate talking, even though she barely was. Maybe it was just the fact that this was her last year, or that Red had been absolutely horrible on the way there.

Scarlette opened her mouth to reply, but then quickly shut it, not wanting to piss Briar off even more. She rode quietly behind Red and Briar wondering if she did something wrong to piss Briar off. [ Do you wanna roleplay the rest of the trail ride? Cause idk what to do.... ]

Now the ring looked like a thousand horses had been through it and Cam looked like he had been put through the hardest trials a horse could imagine. In truth, they rider and mount had just been having fun cantering around the ring and hanging out. Frankie had gone down to visit Bravo in his stall. On the way, she stopped to check in on King. The saddlebred was happily munching on his hay, though Frankie was surprised that her brother wasn't hanging out with his horse like usual. She gave King a mint and shrugged continuing down to Bravo's stall. The thoroughbred acted as if he had lived here every day of his life. Frankie was glad she had bought such a wonderful horse, even if he wasn't always the best behaved. "Hey, boy," the girl whispered, opening his stall and giving him a mint. He was more than happy to accept the treat and let Frankie scratch his face. Spotting somebody in the ring, Frankie gave Bravo one last pat and closed his door. The gelding didn't mind. He just turned and tok a long drink of water from his bucket. His owner watched before turning and going to the side of the ring, watching the boy and horse as they rode. Careful not to spook the horse, Frankie watched. She had always found it fun to watch other riders ride. And she had learned early on that you could learn a lot from watching others ride. She used to think very highly of herself as a rider until she had met Bravo. The gelding had lowered her level of arrogance. She was still confident in her abilities, but she had learned to appreciate the skill of others, not only herself. And that made it much more enjoyable for her to watch others ride.

Rhylin ;; Surprisingly, Rhylin let out a cute chuckle at the implied innuendo. Now he could to talk to the very handsome guy since he initiated the conversation and was so obviously flirting with him. Leaning against the stall door, Rhylin looked down at the fellow student, a few locks of hair falling into his face. "Screw work, huh?" he said with a smirk. "Sounds like a lot of fun."
Ray ;; Ray quickly grabbed her phone off of her bedside table before returning to her bed and laying down again. "It's really good. Do you want a salad or a dessert? I'm getting a meatball sub, house salad, and a cannoli." That was her regular order whenever she went to the family owned restaurant. Granted, it wasn't often, but when she did go she highly enjoyed the food. "Everything's fresh, too."
Nocono ;; Nocono continued switching gaits as he went around the ring with Cam. The one they most frequented was the lope. Cam had a very relaxed yet pulled together lope that made him insanely comfortable to ride so Nocono spent most of the time in that gait. However, when he felt that his mount was getting a little agitated, he kicked him into a very English-looking canter. More than a few times he got close to galloping in the ring before realizing that might not be a good idea at the moment. All of this was done with Nocono being very aware of the girl standing outside of the ring. Sure, he liked girls but he always focused on his loyal Comanche's Cry first. Once they were back into a walk he guided his quarter horse over to the girl and cocked a hand as a hello.

Finn nodded as he swiftly replaced the screws holding the stall lock in place, "It's no fun all by myself though, get's a little lonely. I make quick work of it but maybe I'd take my time if I weren't alone." He said deviously, though he spoke casually, almost too casually to be comfortable.

"Oh, uh, sorry. I just saw someone riding and wanted to come check it. He looks like a nice horse, by the way," she said. She looked slightly embarrassed to be caught watching him ride. It would be fine back home, but she really didn't know anyone here, so she thought it was awkward. Maybe that was just her being paranoid though. "I'm Frankie, by the way. Frankie Miller," she said. Frankie tended to talk. A lot. Especially when she found herself in situations like this. She was like the complete opposite of her twin, even if they looked very similar. "What's his name?" She asked, nodding towards his horse.
