Ari growled, not really helping his case, and glared at Leo a little bit more before leaning back and crossing his arms when it became clear he wasn't intimidating the other boy. "Ugh," he muttered, throwing an irritated glower at Marcus' snicker. Well, there goes the nice idea of being able to scare the others away. How fantastic. Leo was only getting more annoying now - his comment about Hayami making a good wife rubbed Ari the wrong way. Please, as if that's the only thing she can be, he thought bitterly. What if she doesn't want to get married, huh? It's not the ultimate end goal and dream for girls, idiot. And what about people who aren't pretty and can't cook? Are they somehow not marriageable? Just the implications of a statement like that reminded him of how people treated him before he could pass as a boy. He's heard it all before, that being pretty and able to cook's all a girl's worth. Who cares about brains and personality? Even if he didn't identify as a girl, thinking like that infuriated him. Still, he didn't say anything - he guessed that Leo probably didn't mean it like that, or know the cringe-worthy suggestions behind it, and was just making a bad attempt at flirting, so he didn't want to dive into an argument that would have the other party clinging to their defenses. He's seen enough of those online and wasn't stupid to start one. Besides, it seemed like no one else was taking Leo's comment seriously. Anyway, he got a plate of chicken, though he was hesitant on trying it. He had been trying to keep an eye on Hayami to make sure she wasn't messing with the food, but then Leo distracted him, the irritating fool. Still, he supposed it would be too suspicious of they were found poisoned with Hayami the only survivor - there seemed to be a few people elsewhere in the school, after all. He wondered where they were. Either way, he decided to grab a fork and start with butchering his food into tiny pieces, the way he liked it. "I wish I could cook that fast," he grumbled. "Wasting as little time as possible while making something that's not instant noodles? That sure would be nice." He looked up and leaned his chin on his hand. "Anyway, I wouldn't be surprised at someone turning out to be a traitor either. I mean, can they even be called a traitor when we're all killing each other anyway? You can't really betray people you don't give a s--- about in the first place. And - geez, does the school staff even exist? I haven't seen anyone except for you people and that Build-A-Bear ripoff."

{ yes! Everything went way better than I thought it would! ^^ absolutely no complications with the surgery - I got there at 10:15 am, went in for surgery at 12:45pm (had to wait for bloodwork results to make sure I was okay for surgery), woke up around 3:10 pm, and left the hospital about five pm. If I eat slowly, and nothing too greasy, I can eat almost whatever I want. I've stocked up on jello, pudding, and Sprite tho. Also, my aunt brought me pretty pink roses that I LOVE. They make me very happy, and so does that fact that my mom actually is willing to take off work to take care of me, because she almost always works weekends and all weekdays. However, even if she wasn't required to be, she still would've been there. Same with my Aunt, but my grandmother works in a hospital, and she was scheduled that day, so she was pretty much the only person in my close family (I have no contact with my dad, my brother couldn't miss school cuz he goes to a special achool and would get kicked out after three missed days) that didn't show up. But she was very sweet about taking care of me when I got back home, and made sure I was comfortable while my aunt and mom went to get some stuff, and my brother is being nicer than normal too. So yeah, everything is great right now - sorry for the rant. Life just seems to be going good at the moment
And you're fine! I completely understand ^^ I haven't been on much either, since I've been doing a bunch of testing and now surgery obviously. But for the next week or so I should be able to be very active, cuz I have to stay home till after my thanksgiving break over, which is a week from this day }

(Well, that's good! I'm glad your surgery went good. I've had to go into surgery before (well, kinda...it wasn't major surgery, it was on my feet and then they had to put me under when i had my wisdom teeth taken out), and it's not fun. I hate the anesthesia. But, it makes you sleep and the pain to numb, so it's okay. ^^ )

Oakley stepped into the laundry room, listening to what Mycle was saying about someone potentially dying. She instantly felt regret hit her. "No, don't think that way, Mycle." She said, turning her head to face him. "You're lucky as in, you may have the chance to survive yourself. But, don't feel obligated to make it your responsibility for everyone to survive. It's...well, we can try our best, but knowing half of these strange people, someone is liable to end up dead soon. I hope not, but it probably will happen, considering our circumstance." She smiled at him, "Focus on staying alive yourself."
Mikel had taken a plate of chicken himself, easily digging into the food, the warmth invading him. He sighed in almost ecstasy at the taste and feeling. He listened to Leo and Ari and the others, trying to remain focused on the conversation while also eating at the same time. When Ari brought up school staff and the "Build-A-Bear ripoff", he couldn't help but snicker. "I haven't seen anyone else, either." He stated, after--unsuccessfully--trying to wipe the grin off his face, "If there are others, they must come out only when we aren't around, or at night, or..." He gasped, "Maybe they're invisible!" He chuckled, "Hah, just kidding, but seriously, I haven't seen anyone or have heard from anyone other than the teddy bear guy. Maybe he's the only one who runs the place? Seems like a tough job to me." He took another bite of the chicken, considering making some rice to go with it.

(My apologies! Was kinda busy playing an awesome game and being sick with some kind of cold.)
Death, death... all this talk about that was annoying Izzy. She tried her best to tune it out as she looked around the laundry room. "This place is kinda boring... at least the trash room had an incinerator," she muttered, gesturing towards the rows of washing machines. Clearly, they were well-prepared for a whole lot of students. Why just have so many machines for just Monobear's "lucky" group?
Marcus had been too busy enjoying the chicken to answer for a while, but was still half-listening as he ate. Who knew Hayami could cook like this? He swallowed another bite as he considered Mikel's question. "Now that you mention it... how could a bear run an entire school? He probably has someone controlling him running around..." Marcus snapped his fingers... or at least tried to. It was hard when they were slightly greasy from eating chicken. "Maybe if we keep an eye out late at night or something, we can catch them! They'll probably do all that stuff at night, since we'll be in our rooms due to that sleeping rule and all..."

It would be quite silly and arrogant of me to think I could somehow protect everyone with "luck", Mycle thought gloomily as he tried to nod more cheerily to Oakley, still thankful for her words. If luck in the form we're talking about truly exists, as if there lie masters of the universe somehow manipulating our reality. Maybe we're nothing but chess pieces to be played in a larger story for the entertainment of those watching us. The thought was a little sad, which is why he didn't dare share it. He looked around the laundry room, finding Izzy's words to be true; there wasn't much of interest. He wondered if the only clothes they were going to be washing were their uniforms. That thought was a little sad, too - he was already missing his warm, fuzzy sweaters. "In-incinerator?" he stammered, tensing up with a shiver. Just the word had an ominous sound he didn't like. "Oh, of-of course, to b-burn garbage." Oh, geez, how the thought of fire sent fear through his chest.
Ari raised an eyebrow at Mikel and Marcus's ideas. "Fascinating," he said flatly. "Brilliant deductions, really. Though," he said, a tiny bit of sadness peeking through, "when death is imminent, does it really matter at this point?"

"W-wow...I didn't realize the school had an incinerator..." Oakley gulped. The word frightened her. Leave it to someone to use that to their advantage to...kill someone. No...she knew someone would use that to their advantage. It made since. It would be great to hide bodies. Oakley could feel her stomach clench up, suddenly feeling lightheaded and nauseous. "But...I guess it makes since...for garbage."
Mikel shrugged, looking down at the floor as he thought more of Ari's words, "I guess not. But...maybe we can cheat Monobear, somehow. Like, pretend to kill someone?" He raised a brow, bringing his can of cola to his mouth, "Do you think that would work?" He then glanced over at Marcus. "I'm not sure it's a good idea to be out of our rooms at night. There may be a reason we're not supposed to be out then. Ya know, besides for it being when the "others" come out, if there are others at all."

Noticing her companions' reaction to her mentioning the incinerator, Izzy changed the subject. Mostly because she wasn't feeling good about it, either. "Anywhere else you'd like to check? Or should we head back now?" she asked. She hoped they'd say yes. She needed some time to clear her head, and there seemed to be not much else to look at that the other groups wouldn't check out. Besides, she might have dropped that photo in the hall or something; she didn't want to lose it.
Marcus slumped a little. "Yeah, true. Plus a murderer could be out at night... But maybe..." He leaned against the counter, tugging on the collar of his jacket. "Yeah, pretending to murder could work. Besides, it's not like we'll be punished for it. There's no rule against it, after all. Then again, that wouldn't do much in the long run. All it would do is delay him giving out the motive in all the confusion."

"Maybe we could check out some of the other rooms?" Oakley suggested, warily, "I mean, if you want. I'm not sure when everyone else will be back in the gym." She shrugged, "Or we could go back. What do you think, Mycle?" She turned to the boy beside her. Her heartbeat had started racing at the mention of death, the fear of it weighing her down. She didn't want to die here. Honestly, she wanted to go home.
"Maybe..." Mikel shrugged, taking another bite of the chicken before walking over to the kitchen's sink and washing the bowl out. "We just need to be cautious. I don't know what that stupid bear wants from us, besides possibly just entertainment. I don't understand..." He sighed, rinsing out the bowl and placing it among the other many dishes they had. "What is this, some cruel joke?"
(sorry it's been a while ;; )

( its fine :3)
"A joke, huh..." If it was a joke, it was certainly only funny to a psychopath or something. Then again, the bear fit that description pretty well. Or at least, its controller did. Why go through all this trouble anyway? "If he really had as much power as he says he does, why not just kill us outright? It's not like it'll accomplish much if he drags this out," Marcus muttered, realizing that he had just said that out loud a second later. Wow, he needed to get off that train of thought. Too confusing.

Mycle jumped at little at the sound of his name, his mind whirring with images of fire. "Huh?" he said, blinking as his brain caught up with Oakley's sentence. "Oh! W-well, maybe we should check out a few more rooms... we really only looked at two... I-I mean, if you want! I don't mind going back."
"Killing us outright isn't as much fun, obviously," Ari said, twirling his fork in the chicken meat. His plate was a mess before he finally brought the food to his mouth. "The only reason to do something as stupidly sadistic as this is for entertainment, after all. Unless it's all some f-----up test, which I highly doubt."
