Well, I guess my first question is, what other genetic modification should be made? These cats were originally created to help detect problems but then are mutated further to be sold as pets. Maybe some new traits were added to make the sales higher and bring out certain traits more.

Hmm okay. *thinking intensifies* Maybe larger ears? Some people like cats with big ears. (Whether they just be bigger or more rounded) Longer more luxurious fur? Maybe even a small mane {Like a cheetah cubs) Slightly more exotic eye color? I can keep pitching ideas if you want more, these are just some I came up with off the top of my head.

Larger ears, yes. That could work. Not sure about the longer fur though. Most people don't want a cat that sheds to much and I feel one with longer fur wouldn't work. Plus, you wouldn't see the neon glow through longer fur as well as shorter fur. And not really sure how to do the eye color...
I like the man idea! But I think that should be more random and be left to chance.

Okay I understand. I looked up the list of most popular cat breeds and they were as follows: 1. Persian, 2. Maine Coon, 3.Exotic Shorthair, 4.Siamese, 5. Abyssinian, 6. Ragdoll, 7. Birman, 8.American Shorthair, 9.The Oriental, and 10, The Sphinx. So that really tells me nothing when it comes to what makes a cat popular. I think the mane should be random as well. My only other thought was to maybe make them just a little bigger and maybe a bit more active. Some of the complaints I here about cats is that they're too lazy. Originality isn't exactly my greatest virtue heh, sorry.

This is what I am using to try and figure out what to add/change. I was thinking lynx for the feathered ear tips. I want to stick to the Felis genus so this species can be classified as a sub-species of the wildcat (Felix Silvestris). But larger and most active would be good! But since these cats will probably be part of a clan, maybe faster?

Yeah! Maybe give them a slightly more cheetah-like build but at the same time, keeping them lean and strong as well. Once we get it all figured out, I could possibly draw it out for you. We could also maybe give them a different sound, like how the Sand Cat spits and the cougar squeaks and tigers chuff.

I would say...warrior code (or something like that), glossary (if we decide to change the names of things), and history is needed first.
But I think we should start more on the overall story. The big plot of the clan. And a name for said clan...

I just did "sometimesredsometimesblue" .com and said red for FlashClan and blue for VividClan. FlashClan won two out of three!

so they have like glow markings right? sounds cool so maybe they have glow markings like to tron so neon hmm maybe the elders have like more placid colors like they are born light blue then when they retired they are dark blue just a idea.

Maybe for the plot the kits are being stolen and taken to be kittypets and then later escape and rejoin the clan,yeah maybe im not the best with plot,but maybe they go into twolegplace to rescue all the stolen.
