Spiderbite glanced at each warrior that padded over to him and Cliffheart. His scanning eyes noted every physical detail about them. He wanted to make sure he kept his promise to Snowdance and Cedarstar. None of the cats that came to him with SkyClan would get hurt. I can't do anything about the wounds they already have, though. With a glance at Frigidshard, Spiderbite walked alongside Cliffheart in order to support the injured tom. "We'll go as fast as you're capable, Cliffheart. Let me know when you need to rest." Cliffheart wouldn't look at him. "I'll be fine." Spiderbite pinned his ears back. Great, another warrior who's a bird-brain about injuries. He huffed. "Then we'll rest when I say you rest." Spiderbite paused at the ShadowClan camp entrance to make sure every cat was accounted for. "No one over does it, got it?" "Understood." Lionscorch dipped his head respectfully to the Skyclan medicine cat, though his orange eyes flickered over to Cliffheart with worry. Songbreeze had been deeply concerned about Cliffheart's coma. Now that he was awake, Lionscorch didn't like the idea of him straining himself. Even so, he knew this was something the Senior Warrior needed to do. Lionscorch inwardly promised that he would bring Cliffheart back to Songbreeze and Shadowclan, and keep him safe.

Cranekit awkwardly sniffed and leaned away from Pearlkit. "I don't think I want to watch the meeting. I- I don't want to see Stormfury." he mewed quietly, not understanding why she seemed so energetic.
Sandflower joined Lionscorch, Ferretclaw, Cliffheart, and the SkyClan cats at the camp entrance. "I'll do everything I can to get us all safely to SkyClan," she reassured the grumpy medicine cat. Despite his attitude, Sandflower admired how deeply he cared about Lavendersky and SkyClan.
(Fire, do you want Sandflower back? Haha)

(bedoopbedoo) Vipertooth | open for interaction ~
Vipertooth slipped out of the warriors den and shook the moss out of her fur. She felt much better than she had the night before, though her paws still ached. She remembered she had forgotten to stop by the medicine cat den - though it wouldn't hurt to do it now, seeing as one of her claws seemed to be swollen. It hurt a little, but it was manageable at the time, but Vipertooth would prefer to get it taken care of before she went out on any more patrols. Vipertooth began to make her way to the medicine cat den and then stopped, unsure. Would a silly claw be important enough to interrupt when Snowdance was still healing more important injuries? She sat and drew her paw to her face, flexing her claws to try and locate the bad one. When she flexed her claws and spread her toes she winced - yes it hurt. It was swollen and when she stuffed her nose to it, it was hot. She had twisted it digging holes but hadn't thought much of it after returning to the camp. Now, she could see that it might become a bigger issue if she didn't get it looked at. Still, she hesitated. Her paw still drawn to her face, Vipertooth glanced across to the medicine cat den, ears drawn back slightly.

Cloudscar nodded, and opened his mouth to reply. He stopped himself, however, when Cedarstar began to form the patrol. Cliffheart had a long journey of his own ahead of him, and it wouldn’t be the best of impressions to have both former deputies chatting over the young leader. He glanced at Cardinalblaze who had taken his position at the bottom of clan rock. “He looks like he’s done this before.” He whispered, happy to change the subject for now. “I never got used to sitting beneath that rock.”

Falcontalon sat up straighter as the other former deputy brought up his adoptive son. "Cardinalblaze has been taking it all in stride well. He has already faced so many challenges in his short time as deputy and has come out looking unphased each time. I'm very proud of the cat he turned out to be."

"Psst! Vipertooth, over here!" Crystalsight whispered over to the other she-cat. The young warrior's sharp eyes had caught onto the she-cat's paw a few moments ago, and she couldn't help but want to try and help. Even so, she was quiet enough to not interrupt Cedarstar's call for a Clan meeting. She patted the ground with her paw to invite her over, having no tail to use to motion. A few paces over, Honeycrest had kept his eyes trained so intently on the medicine den, that he didn't even notice his sister calling Vipertooth over. You will be alright, Whorlpaw. Honeycrest thought firmly to himself, though he was unable to stop the wave of heaviness he felt for the she-cat's plight. His former disdain of her in his early apprenticeship had long since faded, leaving behind a sense of concern and even... care, for her. He wasn't used to this kind of emotion, but he couldn't help but want to see her happy again. It was wrong, to see Whorlpaw so downtrodden.

"I know Snowdance just had Spiderbite in her den, and you can definitely get it looked at after the meeting, I can try and see if there's anything in there I can pull out." She offered, knowing her sharp eyesight was her greatest strength. It made her as skilled of a hunter as her father, and extremely keen to small things.

Satisfied with the responses of the ShadowClan warriors, Spiderbite led the way out of the camp, Cliffheart panting right behind him.
Cedarstar watched the patrol depart. Once all of them had gone, he cleared his throat to awkwardly get the attention of his clanmates. Frogleap and several of the apprentices were muttering about the SkyClan cats. "As you all know by now," Cedarstar's grim gaze found Stormfury's body. "Cardinalblaze's patrol were able to find Stormfury and bring him back to camp. We'll hold vigil tonight for him and Moonpetal." A heavy sigh stooped his shoulders. "It has been a hard couple of days, but we've proved we can endure. I thank all of you for your hard work in already repairing the camp."
(I was going to have him announce the moonstone plight, but I realized he already did. Let me know if I'm forgetting anything that Cedar should talk about xD)

After a few moments of silence at the announcement of Stormfury and Moonpetal's deaths, a steady yet light voice sounded up from the crowd. Lightpaw had stood to her paws, the honey glow of her eyes wide and round as she glanced up once again at the star she had seen with Fuzzypaw a few moments earlier. With the approaching nightfall, she hoped to see another bright star for Moonpetal too.
"Stormfury and Aunt Moonpetal were the bravest cats ever! It's cause of them that Raccoonmask and Palepaw are back home." The young apprentice didn't seem fazed that she was speaking in front of all her Clanmates. Rather, she looked hopeful. "I think brave cats like that are the brightest stars up there."
"Lightpaw..." Waspflame mumbled sternly to the young apprentice, though Burninghope quickly nudged her brother's side to quiet his grumbling. The young Warrior gave Lightpaw a small smile. "I think that's a perfect way to see it, Lightpaw."
Cardinalblaze felt his heart ache at Lightpaw's words. While he was devastated to lose Stormfury, he hadn't lost Raccoonmask because of him. As optimistic as it sounded, Cardinalblaze couldn't help but hope that Lightpaw's words were true. That Stormfury and Moonpetal's bravery would be remembered for the rest of time. He dipped his head silently in respect for the fallen Warriors.

Fuzzypaw blinked warmly at Lightpaw. She'd be nervous to speak up in front of the whole Clan like that, but Lightpaw was so unapologetic. It was incredible.
Oakfall smiled softly at the young she-cat's words. She'd be an incredible warrior someday.

Mouseclaw came up to her granddaughter's side, pride shining in his eyes as he touched his tail to her shoulder. He stayed silent but gave her a nod of approval. It was what the clan needed right now, a glimmer of hope.
Raccoonmask's ears pricked up weakly from her nest in the medicine cat den, she had been trying hard to listen to what the leader was saying but she was so tired.

Cedarstar flicked his ear twice as Lightpaw spoke out. He didn't scold her. He wanted everyone to feel they had a voice, and he hoped her words rang true to the Clan. Yet, in his exhaustion, he felt a cold creep of shadows in his mind. He doubted Lightpaw's words would be any consolation to Ratmask or Cherryvine. Cedarstar allowed himself to look up at the sky. The cool of night was beginning it's grasp upon the forest. If bravery is all it takes to become a star, he thought with a pang in his chest. Then why are my dreams so lonely? The cat from his visions. He didn't know who it was, but Cedarstar was starting to piece together the puzzle. A mentor with two apprentices died a brave warrior's death, and was punished to wander darkness because of it. He stood up and shook out his pelt to shake the thoughts from his head. He didn't want to think about the visions and dreams. Not since he couldn't get answers from StarClan.
"Lightpaw's right."
Closesky's words focused Cedarstar back on the Clan, the elder was sitting outside the elder's den with a gentle smile on his face. "StarClan would honor Stormfury and Moonpetal for their dedication to our Clan. They can rest in peace knowing their lives meant something." The elder nodded to Lightpaw. "Well said, young one."
Cedarstar watched his father and his gaze drifted back to Lightpaw. He believed that Stormfury and Moonpetal were with StarClan, but why did he feel so hollow? It feels like StarClan's abandoning us. With prey maulers at the moonstone, visions, prophecies and disasters, he feared ShadowClan was against the odds. He didn't like feeling abandoned. "We'll hold vigil tonight." Cedarstar's words had the blunt taste of dismissal. He jumped down from Clan Rock.
Ashrock had been making his way through the crowd to try and scoot closer to Stonesong, but the way Cedarstar didn't acknowledge what Lightpaw or Closesky said had him pausing. Cedarstar always acknowledged at least Closesky. He had too much adoration for their father not to. That was odd, he thought, but he brushed it off as Cedarstar's exhaustion getting to him.
Longpaw sat in a corner of the camp by himself when the meeting was called. He was surprised by his sister. He didnt' expect her to speak up. Yet, he was even more surprised she had been heard and by Closesky no less! It made his pelt bristle. He didn't think he or his sister were special enough to get recognized by the Clan, but maybe it was just him?
Ratmask still laid in his nest, brooding and grieving his sister's death.

Leaffrost remained pressed to Ratmask’s side in the Warrior’s den. While she couldn’t feel grief or loss in the way other could, she knew she was needed and would stay at his side as long as he needed. She pulled her feathery tail around Ratmask gently, though her eyes flickered with light as she heard the sound of their daughter’s voice, chiming through the heavy air like a butterfly in a storm.
Their bright little shadow. Yes, indeed. She closed her eyes, silently extending her comfort to Ratmask through a gentle brush of her fur against him.

Cloudscar had turned to reply to Falcontalon, but his response was cut short by Lightpaw’s outburst. The tom’s gaze snapped to the ground and despite his best efforts he was unable to stop his front paws from trembling slightly. His thoughts whirled as a sense of guilt settled in his chest. He glanced over at Stormfury, unsure of whether he should sit vigil or not.

Ratmask had not heard Lightpaw's outburst. His ears were pinned back and his thoughts were too loud. How was it him that was the last of his siblings? How he did survive sickness, flood, and fire with a pelt like his and they did not? He suddenly realized how Houndthroat must feel, being the last of his kin. Why would StarClan be so cruel to let a cat like him live while his siblings died? He always believed his siblings were better cats than he was after all.

Cedarstar slipped into the medicine den. He paused and his gaze fell solemn seeing his mate and kits. Palepaw's unconscious form broke his heart, but at least the young tom's chest was rising and falling steadily. He quietly padded over. "The vigil is starting," he mewed softly. He didn't want to disturb the others in the den, but he wanted to let Whorlpaw know. "I need to sit with the Clan for a while. Moonpetal's sacrifice was for Palepaw, after all, and Stormfury was..." he trailed off with a sigh.
Whorlpaw sniffled and bravely raised her head. She needed to join the vigil for her mentor.
Kinkfire kept back from the vigil, her stomach partly swollen and uncomfortable, but she bowed her head in respect to Stormfury and Moonpetal. She hadn't approved of Stormfury joining the Clan when he did, but she was grateful to the warrior he became.
Ashrock did not attend the vigil, feeling his presence would only spoil it as he didn't care for Stormfury. I guess that rabbit-chaser wasn't that bad, he thought grimly.
Russetshade sat with Rowanpaw. She cleaned his ears as he bowed his head for Stormfury and Moonpetal. She did feel guilty about both their passings. They were too young.
Littlemoon was quiet at the edge of the vigil. It hurt her heart whenever any clanmate had been lost, but she thought she saw great things for Stormfury and Moonpetal. Stormfury really was one of us, she thought with a sad smile. I'm going to miss him.
Tigerfury moved to the camp entrane, willing to stand guard while the Clan held vigil. He hadn't known Stormfury well and he felt Moonpetal was hard to grieve since there was no body to bury. It doesn't feel like she's gone, he sighed.
Eaglesight found Smokestorm and the two brothers sat vigil for Stormfury. Each remembered how the tom had entered the Dark Forest to help rescue their father. They'd forever be grateful.
Houndthroat stayed out of the way to allow others to grieve. He kept staring at Stormfury's body like he wasn't actually dead. He was special, Houndthroat told himself. He was meant for more, wasn't he? How could he already be dead?
Frogleap bowed his head in quiet vigil for both warriors.
Tumblefoot found others to sit beside for the vigil. He had liked Stormfury. He remembered learning ShadowClan's tail signals from him.

Lightpaw blinked owlishly at Closesky, though her eyes brightened when she realized that he was agreeing with her. It made her feel warm and fuzzy, not used to being recognized by most of the Clan. She lifted her chin a bit, tail tapping with quiet anticipation as she felt as light as a cloud.
Watching Cedarstar leap down from the rock, Cardinalblaze was somewhat startled by the tom's abrupt response to Closesky's addition to Lightpaw's words. Frankly, the deputy had never known his mentor and leader to ever respond to his father's words in such a way. Suddenly feeling a twinge of unease, the deputy cleared his throat and watched the cats around him as the meeting ended. He called out once.
"I'll have tomorrow's patrols sent out on time, in the morning. If you know you'll prefer a morning patrol over an evening one, make sure you get some sleep after you pay your respects." He reminded, trying his best not to topple over his paws. Now all the exhaustion and weight of the past two days was finally hitting the deputy full force. He knew he wouldn't be able to stay up all night, and he needed to be at his best tomorrow for more recovery and planning for the Clan battle training. First thing tomorrow, he would speak with Closesky after patrols were sent out. Holding back his yawn, he padded towards the Warrior's den, trusting the Clan to be steadfast for the night's vigil without him there to monitor it.

Duskpaw stood, touching her nose to Whorlpaw's shoulder, "I'll come sit with you."
Starrylight nodded, "I will stay and watch over Palepaw, Cedarstar after you sit at the vigil you need to rest. You look like you could fall asleep on your paws." she scolded gently.
Raccoonmask struggled to her paws as Cedarstar appeared and announced the start of the vigil. She had to go pay her respects to Stormfury, he was the reason she was alive after all.

Whorlpaw smiled gratefully at her sister. "Thanks," she murmured. She glanced at her father before getting up and slipping out of the den. She moved closer to Stormfury's body to sit vigil just behind Cherryvine.
Cedarstar blinked slowly at Starrylight as if his heavy eyelids agreed with her. "I will, I just..." He trailed his gaze to Palepaw. He wanted to stay. He wanted to be with his mate and kits. Just for one night, have his family around him, but he owed a great debt to Stormfury and Moonpetal. Cedarstar stepped forward to touch noses with Starrylight then lick Palepaw's cheek before he turned to exit the den. Seeing Raccoonmask, he quickly came up beside her. He wasn't about to tell her she couldn't attend. "Let me help," he mewed calmly, offering himself for her to lean on.

Lightpaw turned quickly as she noticed Raccoonmask leaving the medicine den. Her eyes widened with relief as she opened her jaws in readiness to call for her. She stopped though as soon as she saw her hobbling over towards Stormfury's body. Oh. Lightpaw felt her ears fall in understanding as she realized her mentor wanted to say good-bye. She watched quietly, not liking the sadness that radiated from the sick she-cat.
"Your sacrifices won't be forgotten. Your strength and dedication was a blessing to Shadowclan." Spiderfang rumbled as she rested a simply touch of her muzzle to Stormfury's head, and glanced out of camp as though nodding to wherever Moonpetal last was. It made her stomach twist with rage, knowing Moonpetal wouldn't even get to be brought home, thanks to those wretched prey-maulers. She could only imagine how much this would destroy Ratmask.
Waspflame silently and respectfully dipped his head to Stormfury's body, before he opted to keep his vigil short so he could attend to early duties tomorrow.
Goldberry closed his eyes, silently observing from afar. He opened them again, deciding not to take up space in the face of death. He turned, stalking silently towards the Warrior's Den in hopes of some kind of sleep after such a strenuous few days. He knew he'd be needed for hunting, so he wanted to be rested.

"I think I see something lodged in there. It's small, easy to miss, but it's probably something made by twolegs." She looked even closer. "It's not a thorn, it shines a bit. But, besides even that, I think just burying all that Carrion probably kicked up an infection. I'm not sure, but Snowdance can tell you for sure what can help fix it. But, I know something's lodged in there, so that's not helping one bit with the soreness." She nodded once.
