I'm gonna go do homework, but I'll be back later to answer PMs and post a final goodbye.
If we don't meet again, for those of you who've had my back through this, thanks for everything. The homophobia has been awful, but our bond was #real, and you guys were honestly the highlight of my forum life. Stay strong out there.

✞ (( Genesis 1:1 - In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. ))
I'm a Bisexual Christian- can I just say to my fellow Christians to actually read the Bible? And what the Bible says could've just been in that time or place, the Bible is from a long time ago, we have different customs and opinions now from that time.
Also, look at this:
Galatians 5:14 - For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Is it too hard to keep that one command? ''Love your neighbor as yourself.'' Is it that hard? I don't think so. Follow it. Respect us.
(( Revelation 22:21 - The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God's people. Amen. )) ✞ But how is not agreeing with someone's sexuality not loving someone?

•♕• you. literally just described it perfectly. thats exactly what it is •♔• That's not "what we think" tho that's like, what it is. When you don't support someone'a existence guess what, that's hate speech Guys, I didn't mean anything bias in my choice of the word. I was just trying to be brief in my post because I didn't want it turning into a long text lecture. I'm trying to play neutral on this thread and sort out exactly what each side wants. And yes, I realize I'm considered part of the problem, but that doesn't mean I can't try and look at this argument from a third-party point of view to figure out a solution to satisfy both sides. My structuring of that post was meant to be unbiased, so if you noticed, I worded both sides as "they think" or "they believe." I was trying to stay away from definites, because that would tilt the post one way or another.

Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2 Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. [Romans 13:1-2]

Honestly why can't we just keep our opinions to ourselves. If you're pro-LGBT, good for you. If you're anti-LGBT, good for you too. But nobody gives a crap, so why can't you just keep your mouth shut and just avoid what makes you uncomfortable instead of firing it up like your opinion is the right one? Your opinion is just that. It doesn't need to be anybody else's, so quit shoving it down everyone's throat. There's a place to be pro-LGBT and a place to be anti-LGBT, but it's obviously not in each other's faces. Let each other have your own opinions and seek out the people who share your opinions. People are allowed to have opinions without being labeled and accused.

do people disagree with homosexuality as a concept or just the homosexual "intimate acts" that occur behind closed doors? For most Christians, or at least most of those I know on here, it's the "intimate acts" part. Hope that clears it up.

But sexuality is something that has a huge impact on a person's life. By disagreeing with a person's sexuality, it can be assumed you disagree with their relationships and acts. How can you say that a certain type of romantic/sexual relationship is wrong? Why just that one? How can I say it? I don't. My God does. He created man for woman and woman for man. So I base my beliefs off that. If a friend of mine got in a gay relationship, I wouldn't agree but I would still be happy for them that they're happy. You wouldn't agree. What is that then? Disapproval? Disdain? Toleration?

Because my gf is one of the most amazing aspects of my life and by saying you support my existence but not my sexuality is saying I'm not deserving of having that relationship. It's saying I can exist but only if it's without love- so that's not good enough. I'm a human being and I'm entitled to that. Saying I'm not makes me sick and it's that simple

(( Revelation 22:21 - The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God's people. (ironic, when you consider what we're talking about.)

OOC: I usually stay out of this, mostly because I am LDS, otherwise known as Mormon, however this has gone too far in my opinion. Clearly people are hurting, no matter who you or they are, that is not okay. If you can't recognize your own mistakes and own up to them, try to fix them, and ask for forgiveness, actually meaning it, than clearly you need to work on that. I have a philosophy that includes not judging people because you don't know what they've been through or why they act or do what they do, and I'm going to keep at that. I just honest to goodness hate seeing the forums constantly fight like this.
I think something should be done, I think discrimination against the LGBT+ crowd should be banned, because that's honestly the problem here. It's like the age old saying that we all know, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
But anyways, that's just my two cents.
