Yeah bruh long posts aren't happening with me rn. It's like midnight and I'm laying in bed with the heat cranked, you're getting nothing but straight up from me for the rest of the night.))
Shafer perked up as he watched another person stalk over and slump into the seat next to him. The guy looked kinda pissed off. Shafer smirked and lifted a hand from his leg to the wire of his earbuds, tilting his head and adjusting his grip so when he tugged, only one popped out. He waited for a few moments, just looking the boy over before he spoke up. "You look very pensive. You good?"

((that's cool, no more long posts from me tonight either x3 that start-up post drained me))
Ari gave him an irritated look. "What makes you say that?" he huffed. "I'm not pensive. Not pensive at all. Totally not thinking about how I hate everybody and everything, everything's totally fine." His voice trembled and he hated that too.

Shafer arched a manicured brow at that, a disbelieving scoff tumbling from his lips as he sat up a little straighter and leaned closer to the other boy. "I don't know, man, you look pretty pensive. And I'm not exactly the world's biggest fan either but I feel like at that level, you need to vent. C'mon. Unload all your personal problems onto a complete stranger. It's super fun, trust me."

Ari leaned away, frowning. "I dunno... talking to strangers and all... than again, I am an adult now..." The thought made him straighten up. "Yeah! The heck! I'm a freaking adult, Lindy!" he yelled across the room in the gerneral direction of where they were sitting. He turned back around and slumped in his seat, crossing his arms and scowling. "Where I come from anyway." He looked over at the stranger and heaved a sigh. "I was fine with going back, but then she just had to bring [bleep] up and now this really neat guy thinks I'm dumb and this other kid probably thinks I'm stupid and selfish and arghh why isn't the [bleep] plane showing up?"

Shafer choked quietly on his own laugh when Ari threw a small tantrum and screamed at whoever happened to be sitting on the other side of the section. Though he did his best to straighten out his amused expression when the boy turned back to him. He folded his arms automatically when Ari did, subconsciously mimicking him. "Well, I don't think you're dumb and honestly, I'm the only one here who really matters." He grinned good naturedly and cast another glance over to where Ari had been directing his voice. "What did she bring up?"

((Sup Sans! Hi Anakin! I have a little while before I have to go to an event :3))
Ari rolled his eyes to the ceiling and threw his arms over the back the chair behind him. "Oh, just everything that's wrong with my life. My mom hates me and wants to control everything I do, so she uses my stepsister as her guard dog. Apparently, my mom's 'worried sick' that I won't be going to Stanford in the fall. Like I'd go to that stuck up place." Ari knew that he was exaggerating, but he was mad and this was a stranger, so who cared. All he could think about was each time his mom would chide him about eating cereal with a fork, for dumping chutney on his naan and eating the whole thing rather than dipping it in the gravy, for getting a "boy's" haircut, for smoking, for dating the wrong guy, for smashing that guy's car, for getting kicked out of class, for getting suspended, for running away that first time - he could do nothing right, could he, he thought bitterly.
--
Lindy groaned and buried her burning face in her hands as she hunched over the sink. Why did Ari have to make her look like such a fool? And in front of everyone, too! Not just Mycle and Riandylan, but every stranger sitting near them probably heard her outburst too. What was she thinking? She can't face them now. She straightened up, trying to shake it off. No point in dwelling on that now, she thought as she ran her sweaty hands under cold water.
--
"I'm going to go check on Lindy," Mycle said worriedly to Riandylan, who smiled cheerfully and gave him a thumb's up. Mycle unlocked his wheels and started rolling out of the area with the chairs, only to realize he didn't know where the bathroom was. After wandering around trying to catch sight of it, he quickly realized he was lost.

(I can throw up a starting post real quick)
Larry was writing in his notepad. By his calculations, there was a 8.729% chance of death in this flight, given the maintenance records he had found of the plane. "I don't like these odds" he murmered
A miniture table that was covered with cards sat in front of Espia. She was killing time by reading her fortune. She knew it was silly, but didnt really care. But, for some reason the cards kept showing the same reading, which gave her a bad feeling.

After swinging their legs and looking around for a bit, Riandylan decided that they were bored and jumped up. They squinted through the enormous windows, watching the planes roll in. They wondered which one would be the one they'd be on, and excitement swelled in their chest once more. After some time, they grew bored of watching the planes too and wandered off. But then, they caught sight of tarot cards on a table, and curiosity sprang up in them. Riandylan hurried over and grinned widely at the person studying the cards. "Hi!" They said out loud.

"Hello" replied Espia. "What brings you out this far? For fun, would be my guess" said Espia. "It is always enjoyable to see new places, isn't it?" she said as she gathered up the cards, and started to place them back down again.

Riandylan gasped, their hands steepled at their mouth. "How did you know?" they said, flopping into the seat across from the other. "And yeah, I'm super excited!" They peered at the cards lowered to the table. "How - if you don't mind me asking - do tarot cards work?"

"I knew because of your actions, not because of a mystic ability to see the future" replied Espia with a chuckle. "As for how the cards supposedly work, you simply look for the best path in front of you, through the images on the cards. Each card represents something, and by linking the cards, you see the paths available. Thats the short version" she explained, flipping a card with a tower on it over. "Theres no scientific basis for it though. But still, I find it amusing to believe in the unknown. As do you" Espia said.

A look of awe stretched across Riandylan's face as they gaze at the cards. "Yeah. It's so much more exciting when you believe in stuff like this, because if you're just questioning everything all the time you don't get to enjoy the wonders of the thing." They paused for a moment before jumping in their seat, looking at Espia in glee. "Would you read my fortune?"

"For me, I like questions. The best questions usually have no answers. And that is why I like to travel, to find an unknowable, incalculable, illogical event that can never be explained. But I won't read your fortune, because it cannot be done. But I will give you the illusion of a fortune telling" Espia said, as she handed the deck to Riandylan. "I'm guessing you know how to shuffle cards?" she said

Riandylan pursed their lips, tilting their head. "Then again, it would kinda suck if something is unexplainable," they mused out loud, "then I'd end up wondering about it forever." They grinned and took the deck of cards. "But yeah! I don't know how to do underbridge though. I've always wanted to learn though," they said, taking the time to sign before taking the cards and shuffling them thoroughly before handing them back.

For a long moment, Alessandra could do nothing but blink open her eyes. She had literally fallen asleep for the few minutes shes been sitting in her seat. Her nose scrunched up, wrinkling in the slightest as her azure eyes turned about. Everyone was conversing and it bothered her. Couldn't an Italian get in a good siesta? Well, either way it was of no use. She was already awake. Sitting up, she peeled off her sweatshirt and made known of her tan skin and tattoo that stood out like a black splotch on a white shirt. Giving a small yawn, she raised her hand and covered her mouth before she blinked slowly. Looking to her right, she saw the young Korean that sat silently rapping to his tunes.
Chul was minding his business, headphones in and hands moving as he mouthed the rap to his friend's part before his. He rpactically knew it by heart. It was perfect. His eyes closed, enjoying the music as he seemed to feel it move his soul. His mouth was covered by some mask that you would see doctors wear, and his hat was on backwards to hopefully hide the purple locks that mercilessly poked out to the world. He was into his own bubble, one that said he didnt mind and yet... he did. When his lyrics came to, Chul's visible affection fizzled out as he slowly mouthed his words. His words were to his parents, a silent plea of asking why they didnt love him... of course, it was commonly mistaken to be part of the love sogg that was meant for the fangirls.. either way- he just wanted to be recognized and loved, and not by the public either. He wanted it to be by his parents

Espia took the cards back, and laid them down methodically on the table. "You should be glad this isnt a true fortune telling, since you wouldnt be pleased with the results" she said. She pointed to a card and said "This is the Lovers card. It symbolizes Trials. But this one" she pointed to another "Is the Empress, who is Action. And this is The Last Judgement, which is Renewal. They all point to these two cards. Death, which is change, and the Hanged Man, which is sacrifice. But the Chariot does not point to any of these. Since the Chariot is victory, its a very grim outlook. Especially since the Hierophant is also not pointing to these cards either. The Hierophant is Mercy. But the Star is still on the path, which means there is still hope" Espia said. "In short, no action you take can avoid the trials which will change and sacrifice something for each change. There will never be victory or mercy during these trials, but there will always be hope" Espia concluded

Riandylan felt a shiver crawl down the spine as their gut twisted when they looked down at the cards. "Spooky," they signed, not feeling like talking. This fortune felt strangely... haunting. As if such a future did loom close. But she said that it isn't a true fortune telling, they reminded themselves. Aw, that's no fun, they whined. For despite the warning cards, Riandylan could feel the excitement that sidled up next to the uncertainty and apprehension. If this is true, something new is coming up, they thought, a smile forming on their face. Something fun. "That's so cool," they spoke out loud, grinning. "Thank you! - What's your name?"

"Espia. Espia Shimeisake" she signed. Then she closed her eyes and touched a card to her forehead. "And you are Riandylan, correct? " she signed.

Riandylan lit up. "I didn't realize you knew how to sign!" their hands flew excitedly. "And yeah! I'm Riandylan! Nice to meet you, Espia!" They were bouncing in their seat. "Whoa, how did you do that? How did you know my name? It was a psychic thing, wasn't it? Oh! I love psychic powers!"

"I know a lot of languages. And i knew your name because I can read minds... Or rather i glanced at the tag on your luggage then put on a show to convince you I'm psychic" Espia signed with a chuckle. "I get bored easily, so i take up various hobbies to entertain myself. Like lockpicking, or sword fighting" she signed.

"Multiple styles. You see, i got rather bored of chess, so i decided to do something much more mentally stimulating. Fencing is not about strength, but smarts and speed" she signed. "And its much harder to read people when you cant see their face"

"Yeah, you really have to stategize more, especially in - point, was it? The one with all the rules?" Riandylan pretended to wield a sword, remembering how they had to hold it straight out. Gee, were their muscles sore after that class. "It's super fun, though."
