If she doesn't expose you to the language, how can she expect you to know it?))

{Exactly, that's what I want to tell her but I'm 90% sure she would tell me I have an attitude problem}

((Hiiii, so sorry i wasn't on for so long, finals are death, bleh)) -- Mycle -- Larry Mycle yelped in horror as red goop toppled from Larry's mouth. It took him a moment to register Larry's words, and then he was stammering, "O-oh, of course!" He grabbed his walking stick and hurried over to Larry's side, hesitating, unsure how to do this. Maybe if he had his crutches he'd be able to have the balance to carry some of the weight of another person, but with just one stick? "Do - um, do you think this will help?" he said, holding up his stick. "Or -or maybe another one, if it's too short? S-sorry, I - I have... my legs don't work," he said rather lamely. He's a doctor, he'd understand what cerebral palsy is! he scolded himself, but one scared part of him wanted to keep his condition as unspecified as possible. "And, and, um, do you need medicine? You don't seem..." You don't seem like you're in a state to take care of someone else. Mycle bit his lip, waiting for Larry's response. -- Ari -- Mikel Ari's eyes widened in interest. "You make games? Neat!" He sat down by Mikel's side to talk to him easier. "Though, honestly, goggles and scrap metal can make anything look cool." He looked over at Mikel's face, his shadow slightly blocking the other from the sun. A little. Just barely. "What's the game about?" "Yes, that will work just fine. And I'll be alright in a few minutes, i just had a close brush with death. I'm quite used to it by now" said Larry. He steadied himself with the stick, and stood up, wincing slightly. "Now, where is the patient?" he asked

((hi y'all!))
-- Mycle -- Larry
"Ah. Okay," Mycle said weakly. "Used to... close brushes with death, okay, that's normal." He turned his head. "I- I think Belle and Riandylan's carrying them? Over there?" He heard the angry, raised voices of Belle and Alessandra arguing - it did not make him feel better about the whole situation.

"What's the game about?" Oakley continued to make a concoction of herbs that, after examining everything, was good for vomiting, weakness, and pain. She also had some leaves that she mixed with some spider web she found along a tree branch that could help stop blood. She noticed there was a lot of blood loss. She wasn't sure what exactly was wrong, but she hoped she made the correct herbs for it. If not, she'd start back again and make something else. She could do it. She had to. She stood up and rushed over to Mycle and what she assumed was the doctor. Who really didn't look like he was in a good state. "I have some herbs here...would these help?" She asked cautiously. Mikel blinked over at Ari and grinned, glad to find someone else interested by the topic. "I don't necessarily make the games, just the game art. That's what I was...ah, going to America for. To go to school for game art." He picked at the Triforce necklace around his neck. At least it was still intact after everything. "And goggles and scrap metal are great for anything, really. It's about...well, a steampunk world. Where you have to survive and find the cure to this disease that's taken a hold of everyone. There's monsters, which are those animal hybrids I was talking about before, that will kill you at night, so you have to walk to find shelter and food. It's...pretty cliche now, but it'll be better once it's done and created." He shrugged, frowning, "If it ever gets created...I have a feeling it'll be a while before we get back to any sort of main land." (woo i finally got this up. hope it's decent! xD )

-- Mycle -- Larry and Oakley
Mycle stared at the herbs blankly, as his knowledge was rather lacking. "I - um, I'm sure they can do something," he said, looking towards Larry hopefully before turning back to Oakley. "Whi - which herbs are those?"
-- Ari -- Mikel
"Meh, the reason people don't like cliches is because they're boring," Ari said with a shrug. "You already know what's going to happen, so why bother? Like, some people like doing or watching the same thing over and over again I guess, but that's just the mindless majority." He looked over at Mikel. "The thing to do, in my opinion, is just to add something new, or twist it in a way most people wouldn't expect. The idea is to surprise people - like, whoa, I did not expect that! Which is pretty easy for the stupid ones, but you know. If the monsters do something interesting, or the player can do something interesting, then it might be enough to make the game interesting. Then again, I'm not a game designer, but as a gamer, it would be nice to have interesting stuff once and a while."

"U-um..." Oakley looked down at the collection of herbs in her hand, smashed together into a pulp nearly. "Some nutmeg, chamomile, and rosemary mixture, with some thyme and flower mixed as a lotion for any pain. There are others, but I forgot the names of them...Sorry."
Mikel nodded, listening to Ari's advice. He tilted his head, thinking about what he could do, "What would you recommend, then? Like...have the main character die in the end or something? Or...something completely new..." He hummed in thought, the memory of the hot sun, of being on a desolated island with other teenagers/adults, and the pain of his leg and arm instantly going to the back of his mind.
(sorry this is so late. happy new year!)

((Happy new year!
Hiya di-stri! It's actually been pretty slow going - hm, right now Chul is dying (actually I think he did die), but everybody else refuses to let him go so they're basically trying to save him. That's probably the most dramatic thing going on - meanwhile Ari and Mikel are chatting on the beach when they're supposed to be building the SOS message))
-- Mycle -- Oakley
"Th-that's okay! They'll still help," Mycle said quickly. "I hope."
-- Ari -- Mikel
Ari laughed. "Sorry, bud, I'm like, the least creative person in the world," he said. "I'm more figure-it-out-y and judge-y. Oh yeah, killing the main character off? You mean the player? That'd... probably infuriate a lot of people. Which sounds hilarious. Though, that does remind me - having the player be a ghost is always fun, because you know, walk through walls, possess people, all that jazz - oh my gosh, what if you could possess those monsters?"

(hey di-stri! ) Oakley nodded, agreeing, "Yeah, me too. I put a lot of effort into making these, trying to make them right...I hope they work. I don't want anyone to die." She sighed, "Because I'm scared of someone dying..." Mikel nearly jumped to sit up, agitating his leg again, but he ignored it, "That's a brilliant idea! He could die, and then the players would be upset and confused, and then BAM! You're a ghost! And you get to control the monsters instead of fighting them. Maybe I should make that an alternative ending or route?" He giggled, "That's awesome! Thank you."

((From his wounds. He lost too much blood, I believe )) Mycle lowered his gaze. "Me too," he whispered. "You're welcome," Ari said, pleasantly surprised that the other liked his idea. "Better yet, you could have it happen early in the game - be like, you have to survive, but once the player dies, sorry! Dead for good! But you get to be a cool ghost, so there's that."

Oakley began looking around, "Where is...the one who's hurt?" She asked, cautiously. They were hurt. Not dead. She wouldn't let them die.
"Oh, totally." Mikel laughed, "Maybe I can even have, like, a cutscene with some gameplay in the beginning, like a prologue that shows what happens to the main character. Then, he dies, and it cuts to the main game." His eyes sparkled, "And he can even travel to the SpiritWorld or something! Oh man, I have so many ideas...thanks for the tip, by the way." He chuckled, "I'll def add you in the credits, ya know, if I actually make the game."
