i'm cool with that. did you have a charrie in mind? Mandy would be easier to talk to. Gene just kind of puts a wall up between people and himself. }

After a brief look at Di-stris posts, they did say joining was open till the first plot started. I guess that means i can start typing up a char form.
Name: Larry LaChance Gender: Male Age: 20s Base Appearance: 6ft, with short blonde hair and green eyes. Personality: Larry is highly paranoid, and a coward by nature. He always expects the worse, and plans to escape it. Also, he's extremely superstitious. Since he's always calculating the odds, he's very good at math. Other: He isn't very strong, but he is a very fast runner.
Clothes: Jeans, brown shoes, a four leaf clover bracelet, and a plain green long sleeve shirt. Relationships: None Backstory: After a near fatal accident, Larry awoke in a hospital bed with only his name and his clothes. He had no memories of who he was, or where he was. All he remembered was that he had to find somebody. Other: N/A

((
UNIVERSAL: Name: Ari Bhardwaj Gender: Transgender male Age: 18 Base Appearance: Tall and lanky, Ari is all angles hidden under bulky clothing. His dark curls grow long and poofy all about his head, falling just above his shoulders. His deep-set green eyes sharply contrast his deep brown skin. He has a relatively large aquiline nose and high cheekbones. Ari has a faint scar down his left cheek and his right arm is amputated just above the elbow. Personality: Ari can puzzle out why something isn’t working or take something apart and figure out how to piece it back together. Impatient with fools but respectful of wit and cunning, Ari aims for ultimate reasoning and logic. He likes to ponder about the meaninglessness of existence and mention his observations offhandedly - bonus points if people shift uncomfortably. He would not hesitate to let people know if their breath stank or if their pal is stabbing them in the back. He values truth. Unfortunately, he still struggles to deal with the mess that is human emotion, especially his own. He can fly into a rage without warning and has no idea how to conceal the cascade of emotions that will inevitably play across his face. He is very expressive with large, dramatic hand gestures and facial expressions. He disguises his insecurities behind flagrant disregard for social norms. If he’s going to do something, he will go all the way, even the to very extreme, and mope around unenthusiastically if he doesn’t want to do it. He questions most people’s motivations and is not very willing to offer second chances. Ari believes respect should be earned, and until then he is not obliged to play nice. Other: None
CURRENT PLOT: Clothes: Ari is wearing a thick, dark blue jacket with a hood over a t-shirt that reads “You read my t-shirt. That’s enough social interaction for today.” His jeans have a rip over one knee and his gray sneakers are well-worn. An obsidian pendant rests underneath his shirt. He wears black gloves and a prosthetic arm. Relationships: He has an explosive relationship with his mom and the two aren’t on speaking terms. He has an awkward, tense relationship with his stepfather and a love-hate relationship with his stepsisters. He never knew his birth father. Lindy is his older stepsister. He can’t stand her.
Backstory: Ari grew up poor in the bustling city of Bangalore in India until his mother married an American man and moved to California. He’s missed Bangalore ever since. He had lost his arm in an automobile accident. His relationship with his mom was a constant battle, especially about which clothes to wear. The last conversation Ari had with his mom was a furious fight right after high school graduation. Ari wanted to take a gap year and travel the world; his mom wanted him to go straight into one of the four-year university she insisted he apply for in the fall. He decided to go off on his own anyway and managed to successfully reach England without support from his family, but was found and convinced by Lindy to go back to America.
Other: Ari can speak and/or understand several languages, though his fluency depends on the language. (His mom emphasized the importance of being bilingual and taught him from a very young age. He later went on to learn more so that he’s sure someone’s not speaking trash to his face in another language.) He is most comfortable with languages he grew up with, such as Hindi, English, and Tamil.
UNIVERSAL: Name: Lindy Bhardwaj Gender: Female Age: 21 Base Appearance: Lindy stands at 5’3, sturdy and muscular. Her long black hair is cut just below the shoulder blades with straight bangs above the eyebrow. Her eyes are a dark brown. She has light brown skin with golden undertones. Personality: Lindy enjoys meeting people with a warm smile and a firm handshake. Small talk is her comfort zone. She especially thrives in helping others and giving advice. She instinctively takes charge and understands how to organize a group and set a plan in motion. Lindy can hone in on someone’s strengths and weaknesses and figure out how to motivate them and use them effectively in a team. She favors tradition and the “right” way to do things and will attempt to inform or bring others to her standards. She's a rule-stickler and will gladly enforce them believing she’s doing someone good. However, she will usually bend the other way if ordered by someone she presumes to be of higher status or authority. She believes respect comes with a position of authority, and struggles with the prospect that those in a position of power may be corrupt or wrong. She prefers to work through a problem physically, whether it be breaking down a door or giving someone a hug. Lindy is very athletic and physically capable, with keen knowledge about how to do stuff without hurting yourself like fighting someone twice your size or leaping from one roof to another. She may not understand why gravity is negative nine point eight mass per speed squared or how much force per mass your body can take, but she knows that if you don’t bend your knees and go into a roll when you land from a high fall, you’re ending up with broken legs. Other: None
CURRENT PLOT: Clothes: Lindy is wearing a college t-shirt with a light sweater, yoga pants, and running shoes. Relationships: She has a very good relationship with her dad and is in good standing with her sister and stepmother, but she can’t stand her stepbrother Ari. She has a childhood friend named Mycle. Backstory: Lindy lost her mom when she was ten, and struggled with having a stepmom. But her stepmom won her over by being careful about overstepping her boundaries and now they get along rather well ranting about Ari’s antics. Lindy’s often the one keeping an eye on her little sister and stepbrother and fetching Ari from whatever trouble he’s gotten himself into. She went to community college after graduating high school, aiming to become a coach or a physical therapist. When she got the call about Ari, of course she followed after him. After a lot of yelling she managed to convince him that there’s no way he’ll have enough money to travel the world and intends on dragging him back home. Unfortunately, she got looped into babysitting a teenager along the way. Other:
UNIVERSAL: Name: Mycle Adair Gender: Male Age: 19 Base Appearance: Mycle is of small stature, with skin on the pale side and jet-black hair falling long. His eyes are of a warm brown. His round face and soft features give him a gentle look. Personality: Mycle shies away from human interaction, mostly out of fear of saying something wrong. When he speaks his voice is soft and quiet, sometimes mumbling, so that he can adjust his words when he’s asked to speak a second time. He hardly maintains eye contact and fiddles a lot with his hands and clothes. However, if you were to mention a book or a deep, philosophical concept, Mycle’s face would light up and he would happily chat your ear off. He can easily sit still and stare out the window if he needs to wait and be entertained solely by his imagination. Mycle loves to draw and write, allowing strange thoughts to spill across the pages. He likes to think beyond what the world gives him and can more easily solve puzzles that require the audience to let go of preconceived notions, such as using a screwdriver as a weight or something other than locking it into its purpose of unscrewing screws. He’s also grown used to figuring out ways to do things that are not as accessible to him than they are to the able-bodied. Mycle is highly empathetic; he will literally cry at the death of a bee, feeling the horror and sorrow and fear rip through him as he believed it would at the moment of death. He’s quite terrified of death. He can tell what a person is feeling and see through emotional facades, though he’s not all that sure how to comfort someone other than lending an ear and a shoulder to cry on. It’s quite easy to prick his sensitive core, as he is riddled with self-loathing and doubt. But, once Mycle feels he can enjoy silence with the person he’s with, he is a pun master and prankster with some dry humor up his sleeve. Other: He has moderate diplegic cerebral palsy.
CURRENT PLOT: Clothes: Mycle is just wearing a sweater with pants. Something comfy, that’s all he needs. He’s still summoning up the courage to wear a skirt in public. Relationships: He has a loving relationship with his guardians, as his birth parents are unknown to him. Lindy is his childhood friend. Backstory: Mycle was adopted when he was a baby by an American couple. Of course, he underwent the white-suburban-mom-unique-spelling name treatment. His parents were supportive of his disability and his feminity, though he still struggles with low self-esteem.He grew up next to Lindy's apartment complex and has been her confidante for a long time. And yes, he may have had a puppy crush on her once, but it’s weird to even think about now. He did become infatuated with other people of many different genders over the years and now has idealized romance. He’s taken a gap year to figure out what he wants to do and where he wants to go. He’s come along with Lindy on her mission to fetch her stepbrother and is now traveling back to New York. Other: He currently uses a wheelchair or forearm crutches to travel and wears foot braces.
UNIVERSAL: Name: Riandylan Alakija Gender: Genderfluid Age: 16 Base Appearance: Riandylan’s short and chubby with warm brown skin and lots of russet curls falling below the chin, their hair parted in the center. They have large hazel eyes flecked with green and gold. Freckles dot their pudgy cheeks and round nose. Personality: Riandylan’s primary reaction to most things in life is a big grin of excitement. They love exploring and discovering something new, so a grand adventure, even within the pages of a book or within a game, is the best thing ever. If there’s something new awaiting, they won’t think twice about the consequences and jump in feet first. They seem to have boundless energy, often skipping or running or jiggling their foot or tapping their fingers. They would leap at the opportunity to interact with everything in the room. Their attention is easily caught by something shiny, and ten times out of ten they are ready to investigate, even if it’s dangerous or off-limits, desperate to know everything about everything. However, although they can whip out a fact about hummingbird sleeping patterns, they struggle to see the link between a deer and a hunting rifle. They would love the view from the top of a mountain so much they’ll forget they’re standing at the edge of a cliff. They are still unfamiliar with the world’s dangers and rules. They also can't stand sadness, in themselves or in someone else - if another person starts crying they'd probably start bawling as well. Other: Riandylan is partially deaf and uses sign language.
CURRENT PLOT: Clothes: Riandylan has donned a Burberry cashmere scarf, Gucci floral headband, and a bright yellow blouse with a striped sweater tied around their waist. A short purple skirt sits above brown leggings, mismatching neon-colored socks, and ballet flats. Also charm bracelets. Lots of charm bracelets. Relationships: They have a good relationship with their dads. Backstory: Riandylan is rich. Really, really rich. So of course they get to try everything. And they’ll get confused in that naive way if they don't get to do something. So, one day they were walking down the street when they bump into this tall person, right. He (he said he was a he) had a funny accent, and he knew sign language! (Sort of - he gets the grammar wrong sometimes) So of course they followed him around and asked him a bunch of questions. He seemed like he was in a rush so they gave him directions to the library and went on their way only to bump into another person with a funny accent, this one a she, who - what a coincidence! Was looking for the same guy they were talking to! So they lead her and her friend to the library, where they witnessed a big fight and the three strangers getting kicked out of the library (how cool is that?!). Apparently they were going to New York - New York! Riandylan has always wanted to go to New York! So they call up their daddy and ask if the trip could be a sweet sixteen present and he was like sure baby girl because Riandylan was feeling rather feminine today, and so there they are with the three fascinating strangers going to New York! Other: Riandylan wears a hearing aid.
This sounds so cool - I actually had a similar concept I wanted to write a story for because I couldn't decide which world to throw my characters in - so I'm really excited! ^.^))

{Works for me}
Belle had lost intrest in the conversation eventually, and quite frankly did not want to be around people without her gun on hand. So she made an excuse to go stretch or something, however, she probably won't be back. Unless they sit by each other on the plane. Which reminded her how slow it seemed to be arriving. She checked her phone's clock: 16:48. The plane should have been here almost an hour ago. It makes her wonder where her items are and if she had to stay in the UK longer than she wanted. Belle wanted to go home now. The UK was fun, but she has responsibilities in Texas. A lot of them at that. She stood up, stretching her arms and then slowly heading over towards another row of empty seats. Her boots made the same echoing sound as they had before. She liked the sound in all honesty. Alhough, Belle was unsure as to why. There were very different people everywhere she looked. If you went to her town, everyone would look pretty similar. In South Texas, it would be different, but up north everyone was pretty similar. Her gaze fell on one girl, she appeared friendly enough. No harm and knowing if your fellow passengers are serial killers. Belle stood in front of her seat, her hands by her sides. She appeared between relaxed and stiff. Her feet together and her posture straight. "Excuse me ma'am, but did ya here anythin' about how long the delay is supposed to be?"

{ sorry for the poof. xp sounds fun, willowflower. is it kind of like karaoke than? }
Her search was cut short, someone having already answered the call. Turning toward the stranger, Mandy hugged her arms closer to her chest and bent forward onto her toes. A small smile curled at the corner of her lips and she nodded a quick greeting. In all honesty, she was taken by surprise. It wasn't everyday she heard such an accent or saw such apparel. It wasn't off-putting, not in the slightest, just wildly bizarre to Mandy and beyond interesting. She grew up in the boondocks of Northern Ireland, her mother having been born there herself. Her village was a small community and enough, it seemed, for her parents. Yet, it felt like a prison to Mandy. One she'd gladly liberated herself from. Her smile grew at the girl's quirk, friendly and goodnatured. "No," she began, "sorry." She looked the girl up and down before turning toward the window. She was sure she was being rude. "I don't think these things last that long, though. Maybe a few hours at most?" She curled her nose at the thought. "An agonizing wait, I know," she said with a small laugh.

I'm sure you could RP a little, Willow. As long as it doesn't really affect the plot or anything, I don't see how there can be any harm. I'd be up for throwing Shafer in with whoever you've got ^^ Worst case scenario, we pretend the interaction never took place.
but neverland's so nice and fuzzy why would i ever want to leave lmao. But yeah, I'll definitely be down for some hardcore angst tomorrow, when there's no cute gay movies to anchor me down. Good luck with your early rise! Night night!))

For sure, for sure. Just warning you now though, I might pass out on you at some point.))
Shafer swallowed nervously as he brought his legs up to fold in front of him neatly, hands on his ankles and keeping them safely tucked close as he absentmindedly nodded along to whatever music he was listening to. Tribe Called Red, embracing that native pride. Though he didn't look too confident in that moment. He rarely did these types of things on his own. 'These types of things' being normal adult things. He'd always had Kryotic or Sasha with him, watching over him and taking care of the important things so he could just listen to music and check out of the real world, saddled with no real responsibility other than to follow them around the airport mindlessly. On the bright side, he was going back home and would be in his own bed soon enough. Dark side, that was a good number of hours away. He grumbled to himself and turned his music up another few notches in a last ditch attempt to lose himself. If all else failed, he could just find some random hot person to annoy.

((Haha, it's cool :3
Sorry for the long post, I was thinking I would avoid a long post by putting my characters together and then separating them instead of doing each one separately, but then I forgot ~character interaction~))
Lindy slumped in her seat, legs stretched out with one knocking into her backpack. She gazed wearily at the ceiling as the conversation next to her faded to a buzz. And what a conversation too. Ari and Mycle were deep in discussion about the Meaning of LifeTM. Who knew they would get along right off the bat. She felt a bit bad, not giving the teen on her right her full attention, but the aches in her back dragged her deep into her seat. She didn't ask for this. All she wanted was a nice break, some morning runs, maybe a chance to read a sappy romance novel, but no, the idiot that was Ari just had to make life difficult. And she had not expected the extra luggage he would bring. Lindy cringed. Oh, bad thought. Bad thought. She straightened up and turned her head towards Riandylan, who hadn't paused a moment in their description of their private jet and how excited they were to be on a plane with other people. Man, were they chatty, with their hands darting this way and that. Mycle had been enchanted and was trying to pick up some sign language earlier, but that was before Ari made some comment about how pointless their time waiting for the plane was, and how we busy ourselves to distract ourselves from the pointlessness of it all, and Mycle brightened up like the sun in the morning. Lindy was distracted from her thoughts when Ari nudged her in the arm with the crown of his head. "Lindyyyyyy, why didn't you introduce me to your friend earlier?" he whined. Lindy scowled and pushed his head up with a finger pressed to his forehead. "Oi, don't just headbutt me." "He's, like -" Ari gestured wildly, nearly knocking Mycle in the head, "- awesome!", causing Mycle to squeak and bury his face into the collar of his sweater. "It didn't come to mind," Lindy said with a shrug. "Whaaat?" "Oh, come on, it was weird we met in the first place." Ari straightened up. "How did you guys even meet? Mycle said he went to a private school. And that he's over by those nice houses." "Lindy jogs by my neighborhood a lot," Mycle piped up. "We just talked once, and it went from there." Lindy narrowed her eyes at Mycle, who was very purposefully omitting that she kicked the behinds of some kids who thought it would be fun to harrass him one day. Pushing a kid in a wheelchair down a road slanting downward at full speed? Not cool. Ari didn't buy it. "Must've been a nice talk." "Oh you know what we really need to talk about." "Oh, jeez, anything but that -" "Well, like you said, we have plenty of time, why not spend it productively? What were you thinking -" "Nope, nope," Ari said, plucking out his earbuds and sticking them in his ears. Lindy snatched them out. "Hey!" They fought over the earbuds, bickering. "You listen to me!" "But I know what you're going to say!" "You're still gonna hear it!" "No!" "Your mom was worried sick!" Lindy yelled, and Ari dropped the earbuds and stood up. "I'm outta here." "Ban - I mean, Ari -" "Shut up," Ari snapped over his shoulder as he stalked off. Lindy stared after him. Mycle moved as if to say something, and she hurriedly stood up. "I need to go to the bathroom," she blurted out before hurrying off.
Ari stuck his hands deep in his pockets, burning as he hurried to the other side of the room. A lot of the seats were taken, filled with people waiting for the plane, so he just sat by some guy listening to music. He wished he had taken his phone.
