You should draw them more often then. Art improvement and all that. Also seeing their legs actually connected to the sides of their body instead of under them like an actual cat is much nicer imo.

now that I'm thinking about the queen: tbh out of all the characters I think the queen of the night is the one with the most drastic yet gradual character development, taking her whole story into account. I can't say much (obviously) but comparing her younger self to her older self is like night and day (pun not intended)

Having Ensemble: The Theatrical Production would be fun.
I would have to pull off a Wagner (read: make it like 5-6 hours long) in order to be able to do it because it's really long and can't be cut down without removing important parts of the story, and tone down a lot of changes I've made that make Ensemble less stage-friendly than its opera counterparts, but hell it would be a lot of fun. 
(And it would piss off all the old stuffy opera people, which would be terrifying and entertaining at the same time! You should see them clutch their pearls any time an opera implies anything other than heterosexuality it is the FUNNIEST thing)

Also like. I want to write bad parody fanfiction about ensemble but i dont feel like we're quite far enough in for me to know the characters well enough to even make a fanfic.

but if you want a very cryptic description of ensemble events you can just pick any five posts from tumblr blog operasuggestion and you'll probably be pretty close to the real thing

yeah the whole "literally everything is telling me so far that this guy is a serial assaulter but you know what? he might be fine!" is... not good planning there.
tamino has a horrible judge of character to say the least

tamino is... naive to say the least. after all, he's been raised in a house with no cares in the world, so this whole city adjustment is still new to him. he tends to assume people are decent (when they aren't idiots like a certain bird-catcher). he's quick to temper but he generally is kind of a sheep in that he blindly does what anyone will tell him to, which is both a good and a bad thing.
and then there's don giovanni, who practically thrives at being able to make people think he's a good guy. manipulation is his native tongue. if you go find the original opera- which mind you is very dark, given who the don is- you can see that his whole singing style changes based on who he's with, and it;s a very alarming effect when compared to everyone else who has a very distinct style. for example; leporello is quiet and trembling and tends to just bounce off his master when he isn't getting his own chance to shine, elvira is fiery and headstrong but has a insecure underbelly, and so on. but then there's the don, who is unnerving in how much he can change. even in the libretto alone, he has this very unworldly off feeling, and especially when you apply fridge logic the entire idea of the don alone is downright horrifying.
naturally, this combination doesn't bode well...

it really does, especially when you see the people who think that are overwhelmingly cis straight males.
i think the treatment of donna anna over the years is a pretty good example of this. can't put full details here but her whole gist is basically that the don assaults her, kills her dad when he tries to protect her after she fights the Don off long enough and runs to get the police, and then leaves. anna's immediate response to this? basically track down that piece of crap and get the justice everyone deserves. sounds good, right? but no. it's really common to see productions where anna's whole thing is "he didn't like me enough to stay >:(" which is pretty clearly problematic when throughout the plot she shows signs of trauma AND it's made clear that that sort of thing would be completely in the Don's character! so tldr my girl donna anna doesn't get any of the credit she deserves and I hate it. there's a lot of other ways people warp around with it so the don is Good Guy(TM) (such as making Elvira look like a crazy ex or having Leporello be a complete buffoon) and none of them are good. if your local theater portrays him as the hero you have full right to turn and leave 
the real mvps stage it so donna anna is a lesbian and she and donna elvira fall in love. that's the tea fellas!

also funnily enough apparently tiger is the most popular name in illinois (where chicago is)... hmmm
