Flarefur's fur was bristled by the time she reached the other side, she was fine other then her sore side. "stupid monsters!" she hissed under her breath.

All other cats who haven't finished their checks get off easy... just so I can advance stuff.
As the group approaches the top of the hill, the air suddenly seems cold. In fact, everyone but Al is shivering, despite it being greenleaf. Did the group already have the sickness, too? They have to press on, though. A Spirit Check of 5 is needed to ignore the harmful effects. However, since this is a Spirit check that isn't supported by skills, it will be hard...

Flarefur trys to ignore the harmful effect's and press on. (Spirit 3 + 2 spirit chips = 5)

Flarefur's strong will pushes her body's weakness to the back of her mind, letting her push forward towards their destination.

Technically, if Fernwhisker put all of his energy into his Spirit check, he could power on without feeling the chill. However, since he has so much to live for and doesn't like the idea of dying, he decides not to slap on that brave face. Fernwhisker is a strong believer in giving up.

Seeing that Icefeather only had one Spirit chip left and an amazing score of 2 in Spirit, she does not bother spending Spirit chips and gives up.

Fernwhisker, of course, feels the illness as he gives up. The illness like that. It eats away at him and deals one chip worth of damage in "thanks."
Icefeather's mighty score of 1 does not turn out well for her. The shivering gets worse and she takes 1 chip of damage.

'we need to find the herbs, soon.' Flarefur thinks seeing Icefeather's and Fernwhisker's shivering getting worse.

Leafheart dragged herself along as the group continued. Hurt from the group's run in with the monsters, Leafheart just can't muster up any extra strength for her Spirit check, which is 3.

The throbbing seems to get worse as the sickness chills Leafheart. She takes 1 chip worth of damage.

Fernwhisker doesn't appreciate the illness's manners, however well-bred of a disease it is.

Icefeather also does not welcome this illness. She hopes that she'll make it in time.

The group struggles to make it up the hill, but they finally reach the top to see the pool that would hold the feverfew.
Well, sort of.
There were multiple pools scattered around, but it was hard to tell which was the right one. Before searching, the group decided to rest.
All chips restored, except those lost as damage!

Larkdapple was feeling much better after the rest. I mean, she was still sick and stuff, but at least she got a quick catnap in.

Now that the group is rested, they'll have to figure out where to look. Due to the fluidity of people responding, I will have an uncertain group Ponder Check goal. For now, I will recommend a total of 5 for each cat, although a better performance will help the entire group.

Icefeather ponders deeply about life. (Ponder Check: Int3 + Ponder1= 4 + 1Int Chip = 5)

Icefeather seems to have a good idea of where to look, but it's still rough. The rest of the group has to contribute, too.

Flarefur is uncertain of how she'll do, but she's determined to do her best. (Int. 2 + Ponder(+1) 2 = 4(?) + 2 Int. Chips = 6)

Her Ponder+1 boost actually gives her 1 extra point rather than 2, but a score of 5 gives Flarefur some good insight.

Fernwhisker is still feeling rough after the nap, but he's pleased to be useful. He decides to go the extra mile to help the group after being so useless before (see? he does have a heart! somewhere.)
(Ponder 2 + Intelligence 3 + Chips 2 = 7)

Good job, Fernwhisker! Your extra 2 points will help the group if someone somehow fails the check.

smilii Tawnyfire Daisypool Penguin ~ ❄The check is a success! With ease, the group navigates the maze of ponds and finds themselves in front of a serene pond. An elm tree has planted its roots just at the edge, branches reaching over the cool waters. The smell of feverfew floats through the air... but is there another scent? Smell Check target: 4

(Thanks! Saves me time Besides, I trust you guys to keep track. Because I'm lazy.) Fernwhisker notices the fain scent of... an animal? A Ponder Check of 6 will identify it, but a 7 could give even more insight... If Animal Lorex2 or higher is something he has, then it can boost his score. Funny how the basic level of Animal Lore is nigh useless due to requiring an intelligence chip for one extra point... when you can just spend that chip on a Ponder check normally with the same result.
