Fernwhisker arched his back and hissed at the badger furiously. He hadn't been friends with Leafheart, but to see her die in such a savage way was just cruel, especially after all the group had already been through.
Plus, the badger was eyeing the popcorn and Fernwhisker hadn't had any yet.

He suddenly remembered what he'd been told about badgers. They'll only stop when their enemy is dead. He muttered a word that was certainly Not Suitable For Kittens under his breath.

Poor Leafheart takes a whopping 3 chips worth of damage. She's likely not dead, although she's in pretty bad shape. Even if this doesn't knock her out, she still has pretty much all her chips gone.

The badger grunts and turns to face the other cats. It can be attacked, although it has a Jump Check of 7. However, you have options: Bite, Swat, or Pounce your way to victory!

Fernwhisker was all about getting FIV so he chose Bite.

(Don't worry, just the badger lost chips. And if you take damage, you get to choose. In the badger's case, it doesn't matter; it can't spend chips.)

ah I thought you meant 'takes two chips of damage' as in 'i'm being hurt and i'm taking you with me!'  so Fern didn't actually get hurt? good to know. Fernwhisker is too busy trying not to get killed by a badger to eat any pancakes. He's pretty annoyed by this, because he didn't get any of the popcorn earlier either. |

Flarefur couldn't believe how immature they were being and during a badger attack; no matter how good the pancakes or popcorn smelled. Flarefur lunged forward to slash the badger. (Int. 2 + slash 0 = 2 + Int. chips 2 = 4)

(Swat is an Intelligence based check. However, if you with to utilize strength, I suggest either a Bite check or a intelligence-based Pounce. The latter allows Wrestle checks.)

The badger hops out of the way, but even so, it appears that Fernwhisker reduced its Jump Check. However, it wasn't by much, since Flarefur's claws slice empty air.

Icefeather quickly packed her popcorn and lawn chair away in case the badger won and came to steal her popcorn. She swatted at the badger with a Swat check of 4. (Int: 3 plus Swat: 1 equals 4).

The badger growls and swipes at Flarefur, this time with a Swat check of 5. The she-cat needs a Jump check of 6- no easy feat.
