[[ Aye it's been a while; how have the years treated you? Also this was about a billion years later than it was meant to be. Sorry time like, exploded on me.]]
Eric played with the idea in his mind for a bit. Or rather, he told himself he was thinking about the best way to crack the businessman open when in reality he was taking in Amelia. The unmistakable message of siren red lips that let every man know his blood could run hot around her. The off-white tone of the delicate fabric of her blouse, blowing in the gentle breeze. My my, he was going to enjoy peeling the garment off of her later. The tight leather of her jacket obeying the curves of her waist and hips, showing she had mastery over some things if not over Eric himself.
Well, that last part was perhaps a little bit of a lie. Of course, he kept his head on his shoulders. Business had to come before pleasure. Yet where he’d been quite happy to cast off other women like dust off his coat, he couldn’t quite do that to Amelia. No, when other men looked at her they usually ended up with black eyes soon after. A hand on her arse meant a broken arm the next day. Because he really didn’t want to share someone like her with other men lesser than himself.
Was he becoming like those idiots who let themselves get caught because of a woman? He’d seen too many jobs botched or heists gone **** up because someone wanted a girl’s hand in his pants rather than cash in his wallet. It absolutely enraged him. Lust was cheap, love, not as much. It still wasn’t worth its weight in gold. Except in some rare instances. Amelia might’ve been one of them. His eyes flickered over her again; raven black hair, a cute little nose and those doe eyes that were bound in unyielding loyalty for him. God, the whole thought made a pleasurable shiver run down his body. Perhaps capturing her heart had been his greatest heist.
Yes…that was it. He had captured her heart, so there was no use keeping her body under lock and key if it meant they could use it to get rich. And that businessman was giving off more and more tasty little signs that he was exactly what they were looking for. Crossing the road without looking – clearly not cautious then. He marched into the coffee shop without noticing that Eric was still looking in his direction. Not street smart at all then. And how about the fact his voice was now raised to that poor waitress who was wailing about her stupid bracelet? Oh, he was arrogant. Arrogance was the best; when people didn’t see their weaknesses they didn’t know when to cover them. It was why Eric was so glad he had no weaknesses.
He stood up, metal chair scraping along the cold concrete as he did so. Another drag of the cigarette before he put it out, then he straightened his jacket and looked about for a bit, checking to see that no one was following the man. At that point he flashed Amelia his warmest, but wickedest smile and slunk round until he was directly behind her. He crouched down, getting so close to her ear that he knew she’d be able to feel his the heat emanating from his body.
“Just remember who you belong to, sweetheart,” he whispered, tender in his tone. Then he planted a kiss right on her cheek, giving her waist a little squeeze at the same time before he slipped back from her and walked into the coffee shop. The waitress and the businessman were the only two in it, so Eric went in un-noticed and then found himself a corner table and newspaper to hide behind. There he kept an eye out, waiting for Amelia to minx her way into the businessman’s brain.

I am currently studying abroad in Rome and pretty familiar with Italy by now, so I’d be happy to answer any questions you have Well I am so, so going to take you up on this offer. Especially about Rome. In some ways its more difficult because we've got less time, more to see, and we're staying further out (about 1 and a half hours away from roma termani by public transport...I think our resort runs a shuttle service though). Have you had any experience with visiting the vatican at all? If possible I'd love to go on a wednesday so I can see a papal audience then go through St Peters and the Sistine Chapel, but don't know if a day would allow for all that. I've still got to keep in mind I'm travelling with my cousin who has special needs. Apart from that I wanted to see the Pantheon, but couldn't pick anything else out of ancient rome that I'd really, really want to see. There seems to be so much in every website and guide book I look at. Anything to see apart from that that's really essential? Bare in mind I'll probably have only one day in rome city centre. The other thing I was wondering was the travel services. We're flying to Pisa, taking a train to Florence, then a train from Florence to rome, hopefully getting the shuttle bus from roma termani to this resort place then when when we leave we need to get to rome ciampino airport for 9 am in the morning... So, from what I can tell, once we get to a train station we can find a self service ticket machine, change the language to English (I'm trying to pick up some Italian from duolingo and things like that but it's not going to be anywhere near fluent by the time we go) and book a ticket. How does it work for booking tickets online? Do we need to collect them at the train station? Are there hidden costs like seat reservations once we get on the trains and things? We'll be relying on trains A LOT. How is Rome Ciampino airport to get through? Fairly straightforward, or should we give ourselves extra time?

(I love him! And I have no idea what St Louis looks like either (Picked it as it came up as having a high crime rate) so it's just generic American city. Thought the US would work better with their trigger happy police and lax gun laws, would make for a bit more drama in the long run) [[Aye, it's probably a detroit like city and yes, americans always do things with flair so lets pick that place. Our people can always travel too if we want to change. ]]

Number one thing I remember when I went to Italy like 6 years ago. Take pictures! Okay but do see the David. There's a line to get into the art gallery but not a line to see the sculpture.. I recommend seeing it because the David looks very different compared to how you see pictures of it. I didnt imagine the sculpture to be so huge! While in florence I believe it's been mentioned to check out the Santa Maria cathedral. Check out the giotto bell tower too! It takes some stamina because of the stairs. But it's really a sort of life time experience to climb it. There's a lot of history you can see just by trekking to the top. And the view once you reach it is amazing. There's a little boar statue called Porcellino in florence. Do go see it and rub its snout. It means you'll come back to florence one day 😊 Make sure to try all sorts of restaurants that you're able to. I recommend hitting up at least one gelato shop. I've never had gelato since my trip and honestly miss it so much. Try and see the sistine chapel in every way that you can! Coming up close to the "last Judgement" is a very surreal experience. It's the most epic piece of art I've ever seen. I recommend going to Pompeii and getting a tour guide for it. The artifacts you can view are interesting. And well, the entirety of the place is awesome. Learning the past of the place and seeing the way life was before the reckoning is eye opening. Honestly like.. all churches and any big buildings you can find, are worth seeing. The architecture is something else. The art inside. Just general exploring is great too. These cities have a lot of history so you'll find all sorts of sculptures and artifacts all over. Even the fountains you find are so unique and particular. Being from Canada I've never seen anything quite like it. I loved my trip to Italy. Bringing my Cannon EOS 600 with me And I'll keep that in mind, but money is an issue with me so I don't know...Also, I gotta keep a light schedule cause I'm travelling with my cousin who faints if she does too much (it's a chronic illness thing....it's weird but I don't want to deal with Italian a&e if she faints from doing too much) But yeah no, I wish I could see all the churches and all the art...gah, 10 days is not long enough!

The dry chill of autumn clung to the air. Crisp brown leaves slipped off the branches of the linden trees that were dotted along the pavement opposite the coffee shop. Passers-by were trussed up in thick coats and scarves, their outbreaths turning to miniature clouds in the air.
Eric was similarly dressed. The fresh Italian leather on his coat still squeaked mildly when he adjusted in his chair. But he was so warm with the mink fur coating inside. Around his neck a red silk scarf was wrapped several times and tucked into the collar of his coat. The colour of it complimented the copper tinge to his otherwise espresso coloured quiff. On mornings such as this the sun glared into the eyes of everyone, so Eric wore some blue tinted Dior sunglasses to complete his look. Well, it wasn’t really complete without a fresh Marlboro in-between his gloved fingers. He lit one end and took a long inhale, relaxing as he let the stream of smoke leave his body again. The open pack was left on the table and he turned it towards Amelia slightly, leaving the lighter beside the packet. Whether she would take up the offer was still up to her, but watching a woman with a cigarette was somewhat alluring so he’d do whatever he could to persuade her.
Sometimes just watching her was so satisfying. Sitting back and observing her, like a painting or a sculpture in a European gallery. Felt even better knowing she was his. Besides, the waitress who served them wasn’t much to look at; a drab girl who was more concerned with having to serve customers who sat outside than with how to keep that expensive platinum cross bracelet on her wrist. Must’ve been a gift; perhaps even sentimental if she kept it on during work. Oh well.
As soon as she placed Eric’s coffee down on the table he started asking her some pointless questions, sounding as alarmed as he could; which was quite a lot considering conning people was his job.
“Excuse me, my wife’s coffee is late. This really is unacceptable; we have a meeting with the adoption clinic in twenty minutes and she’s really very nervous, what with her drinking problem and all. Oh god, look what you’ve made me do! Our therapist said we weren’t supposed to mention that anymore, it’ll backtrack, got to treat the problem as if it’s already gone kind of thing. Why, I suppose you’re going to phone my mother now…”
By the time the poor girl had managed to stumble away, Eric had undone the catch on her bracelet and slipped it off. The fool didn’t even notice Amelia wasn’t wearing a wedding ring. Or that people with drinking problems aren’t usually accepted by adoption agencies. Or that therapists don’t tell you to avoid your problems…Jesus, it was like she wanted it to get stolen.
“For you, my dear,” he said to Amelia, placing the platinum chain in front of her. Last week they’d had a little fun in a jewellers together, so this was small fries compared to that, but it was good to start the day with a little exercise. Yet his con had had one unexpected side effect. He started to think about all that; wedding rings and screaming rugrats. Stupid, he knew. Heck, he might even already have a few bastards running around somewhere out there. But there really couldn’t be enough little Eric’s in the world, so why not let Amelia have the privilege of carrying them? Well he didn’t want to screw up her figure. Besides, he could teach the kids the essentials – how to unlock a safe or figure out someone’s pin code, but little league and barbeques really wasn’t his thing. And just when the ‘serious’ subjects were becoming uncomfortable in his mind, the most wonderful distraction came right across his path.
Nine o’clock. A cab, no…a private car. But judging from the stickers on the back and the fact it had rain on the top it had just come from the airport. Taking a private car from the airport to here meant money. The mark stepping out of it wearing new Versace shoes meant money. The coat from London and watch from Bejing meant money. But most of all, the briefcase with at least six combination locks meant money…or something valuable of some sort.
“Heads up sweetheart,” he mumbled to Amelia, cocking his head in the direction of the businessman who was now hurrying down the street towards them.
[[That took longer than expected cause im lazy bum. Also, I don't know what St Louis looks like so I'm hoping it's got trees and cars; was generally unspecific. Can mod character too if you want.]]

Oh how fun! My grandpa and aunt live in Florence, and we visited them last summer, so here’s some of the fun stuff we did that might be fun for you. Get tickets prior if you’re going to the Uffizi. I’d also recommend seeing David at the Academia, but get tickets prior. I would recommend the Duomo, aka the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. We did this really fun pizza/gelato making class where you get on a bus and go to the outside of the city, on this hill, it’s called San Miniato. They teach you how to make proper Italian pizza and gelato! You make dough, pick all your pizza toppings, and they show you how to flip your pizza in the air. The gelato part they have a variety of flavors you can make, and in the end you get to taste everyone’s gelato, and of course eat your pizza. They also had this really big doggo who was super cute. If you haven’t been to Florence before, I thought I should mention the carabinieri, or military police. They are different from the normal police. They have military uniforms and guns, I remember seeing them walking around outside the Duomo. I asked my dad what I should tell you about them, and he said “Obey instructions.” When we were there, they didn’t talk to us though, so your probably fine, just wanted to warn you. This is my moms preference, but she only gets purses in Italy, because she’s picky and can’t find the right one in the states. We visited a couple nice shops, but ended up finding the same purse she got 8 years ago in an open air flea market. I also like those open air flea market places because sometimes you can find some cool leather bound notebooks with the Florence insignia on it, which makes a nice gift for some (or for yourself). Also, our favorite gelato place is called Grom. It was my favorite when I was little and when we recently went back to Florence there was one right across from our hotel! It was so good, but that may be the nostalgia factor lol Uh, I think that’s it. I hope this was helpful (: Ahh thank you thank you! This is actually massively helpful cause honestly, I can't see all the sights -- I'm going to be spending days in Florence, sure, but I also want to go to either Bologna or Sienna and day trips to wine tours in tuscan fields or beaches and hikes...so I think I might just do Ufizzi and I was wanting to do the duomo as well. I'm not super super huge on sculpture and feel like I wouldn't appreciate Michelangelo's David enough to justify spending and waiting in line to see it for 2 minutes or whatever it is...however, the birth of Venus, yes, I'd appreciate that. Thank you so much for the food recommends though! That's a big reason I'm going to Italy too. And I love shopping and markets and things (it's my favourite part about the fringe festival). And yeah I heard about the different police forces...nerve racking to be around police with guns...but I'll get used to it. Were there any good parks or gardens in Florence city centre you visited? Or hikes/wine tours that you went on?

On holiday! For ten days. Staying in Florence for 6 night then going to just out Rome for 4.
What should I do?
Current plans are
Florence -- see the Uffizi gallery, maybe another church and perhaps some gardens?
Rome -- Vatican. Maybe on a Wednesday to see a papal audience? Also might want to see the Pantheon.
Also, a beach, a wine tour and Bologna are in my sights. Ooh, and Pompeii maybe.
Any other suggestions? I won't have a car but the public transport seems to be sufficiant.

I don't really have much sympathy for people whinging about how little sleep they got and trying to one-up each other. Unless you have actual insomnia or a boss who treats you like an orphan in a ****ensian workhouse, the reason you're getting so little sleep is probably poor time-management skills causing you to pull all-nighters to get your work done. ...Or anxiety meaning you can't sleep, children meaning you can't sleep, pain meaning you can't sleep, an over-load of work because you need to do two jobs so you can afford food....so many other reasons...

Step-dad: “You’ll never lose weight” Me: loses 25lbs Step-dad: “Doesn’t matter how much weight you lose you’ll always be fat” Here are some responses I suggest; "Yet, never as fat as you." (if he is fat, this falls flat if he isn't) "I'd rather be fat than a discouraging father figure" "When brexit happens and we have no food, I'll survive longer" (even if you don't live in the uk it'll be funny) "So is the president" "*pderotactial noises*" *throw up on him* "what about now?" *in david attenbrough voice* "and here we see the male baboon make loud verbal noises, due to the fact he is trying to hide his small genitals from the females" Or just call him an ar*e. But in all seriousness, that is sh*t. I've lost just shy of 84 lb and some people are still constantly awful to me about it. It's even worse when it people close to you.

It's like yeah, that sucks for you, but that does not negate the difficulty I'm going through how about saying something like. "Yeah I also got a really small amount of sleep last night so I know how tough it is,"
tl;dr; humans are assholes, let's become puppies.

How is it a horror no no? Genuinely curious I don't know much about the genre And while is agree stranger things is horror there's a lot more to the show than just the traditional 'try not to get hacked up by some pervert in a mask' kind of thing i getcha! you're right, stranger things isn't a strictly horror show, but it does have horror elements and monsters and the like. horror ≠ slasher films. horror and suspense go hand in hand, which stranger things handles really well! imo, the best horror/thriller movies use good buildup - through visuals, music, foreshadowing, etc. to give a better reveal/scare, and a sense of validation in finally finding out what's been causing the spooks. so when i saw the monster at the end of the trailer, i raised an eyebrow. imo that kinda spoils the suspense. stranger things did it great in the first season, not showing the demogorgon until the last few episodes, so it leads me to believe that monster at the end of the trailer may not even be the big bad villain after all. that's what i'm hoping, i could be wrong in all of this :-0 Yeah I getcha. But at the same time because it's a trailer we were wanting to see all elements portrayed in it; the kids growing up, the action scenes, etc. The monsters are part of that, so it doesn't surprise me since we all know there's monsters in stranger things, that they remind us they're still there. But they are probably doing it in a way which is that they reveal a monster in trailer that isn't big bado. Well, it might be, but maybe the tension for the season isn't held with it; so we'll see the monster early on/a lot, but we'll all be holding out to see tension resolved elsewhere.

I am a stay at home mom, and dont underestimate how intense it can be. Yes it definitely has its perks, but being a stay at home mom is definitely not quite what I was expecting it would be. Yeah, a lot of it looks pretty tough. I come from a big ol' Catholic family so I'm used to looking after kids though for days on end and enduring the screaming and sleepless nights and things. Not saying it's the same, but dealing with kids is just something so natural to me...even dealing with the tantrums. Also I'm used to not leaving the house multiple days in a row. But you're right it would be a challenge. All the things that are worth it are though. Deffos not afraid of that.

Damnit I KNEW IT. That's why all my nerd cousins are in relationships. And in all honesty I know it's probably my fault I'm not in a relationship. I'm too cautious. Which is a shame because I've given up on uni and work and just want to become a housewife to a 6 figure earner, have lots of his babies and live in a big house in the country where I spend my days making home cooked meals, planning parties and write my novels.
