thank you!! Flicker- is one of my favorite prefixes I use it too often ;-; both for the flame imagery and the bird. I'm glad you like Tinypine and Stonefox! They're good brothers (; When I made this story in like, late 2016, those were absolutely crazy untraditional names and I got a lot of... not quite angry but more confused people commenting about names like that haha I gave Copper the warriors of ElmClan, I'll gift you the healers/deputies +elders uwu Jaylily: 6/10: I think it's a cute sounding name. I like bird and flower names so that helps. Overall, I don't feel strongly towards it though. Morningbriar: 7.5/10: Pretty! I love "briar" as either prefix or suffix. This is a very pretty name overall, reminds me of a sunrise over a briar patch or something similar. Eclipsewing: 6.5/10: I just don't know how I feel about "eclipse" it's a really cool word and concept to use in a name but it just takes a bit for my mind to get used to. I think it is a good name overall though, edgy and pretty. Berryfall: 6.5/10: I like this name; I could easily see it in the books, a little plain but still nice sounding. Frostleaf: 8/10: Nice name! I don't know if you're keeping up with the books, but this is the sort of name I'd imagin Frostpaw to have lol. I imagine a frosted over leaf and that's pretty cool. Turtlestone: 7/10: A pretty good name. I imagine a turtle's shell for some reason. Overall, I don't have much to complain about this name, but also don't have much to say. It's a solid name, and I like it. Scarletsong: 7.5/10: I love the alliteration! A very pretty name! Mapleflame: 7/10: Burning leaves...the smell of smoke and maple syrup... I don't know lol. I like the name a lot though, it has very Fall vibes, and Fall is my favorite season. Snailfrost: 8/10: Cute and unique! I love snails and the "frost" suffix. It is a bit of an odd name, but I like it. Nobleleap: 6/10: To be honest, I don't know how I feel about "noble?" It definitely gives an image of what the character would act like, although given that it's the prefix, the cat could have that name and be far from noble, which would be an interesting concept. The name is successful in that I want to know more about the character, though I am still uncertain about it. Dewtwig: 5.7/10: Adimitedly, I see this name and read it as "Dewt-wig" which kinda ruins it for me, but that's just an error on my part lol. I think it would be could if I didn't read it weirdly, I guess it just looks a little odd to me? Dew and twig are cute names though! Swiftdawn: 7/10: A fun and pretty name! Runningstorm: 6/10: A bit plain, but cool; it reminds me of Runningwind from the books so that's pretty cool. I also think Flicker has good imagery (also so glad you also think of the bird lol), though I have mixed feelings on it for warrior names. I love the word and how it sounds but I think it's a bit difficult to make use of in a name. I think something basic like Flickerpelt could work but I am not sure. I liked the idea of combining water and fire in Flickerpool, I just don't know how I felt about it overall. Also, Tinypine and Stonefox being brothers makes me like the names more; I think they are both cute names

I also got a few! These are from my (many) ocs. I hope this is not too many. With reasons please! Mossychasm: 8/10: Oooh, I really like this. Moss is cool and the name gives the image of a mossy ravine. Very nice, but slightly wordy, not so much that it ruins the name though. Flightstorm: 6/10: I'm not sure how to feel about this name. It's pretty cool but overall I have mixed feelings. Thunderfawn: 6/10: I like the strong sounding name like Thunder mixed with something softer like fawn, however I don't know if I like how it flows. Darkgale: 9/10: Ooooh, nice, dark, edgy, and atmospheric. Kinda makes me think of a spooky book (or the cliche "dark and stormy night"). Cool name! Ravensong: 9/10: One of my non-cat OCs is named Raven Nightsong and this instantly made me think of her. I like the name a lot! Streakheather: 4/10: Eh, I'm not really feeling this one. I just think it's a bit of an odd pairing/wording. Oakash: 6/10: This one is okay. I like the prefix and suffix and it's a pretty name, but is overall nothing that stands out. Riverspike: 7/10: It's both cool and cute. I like river themes a lot. Breezegrass: 5/10: This name just feels a little odd. It's okay though, I just feel like the placement of words feels weird. Poolfin: 5/10: I don't really like it but I can see the appeal. Tulipspring: 7/10: Nice name! I like flower names and find spring to be a cute sounding suffix. It also has very spring (the season) vibes or flower petals on a stream/spring, or even spring as in bouncing. Very sweet and playful! Wrenthorn: 10/10: Nice name! I love the prefix and suffix and wrens are one of my favorite birds! Also, like with Thunderfawn, I like the combination of something that could sound sweet like wren mixed with something more harsh sounding like thorn. Overall, it's a very pretty name. Dancingbright: 3/10: I'm sorry, I just really don't vibe with this name...it sounds like it would be in an upbeat song like "I'm dancing bright tonight" or something along those lines, which isn't exactly a problem, but I don't really vibe with it. Grousefreeze: 6.5/10: I don't often see "grouse" so that's pretty cool. The name sounds pretty neat too. Moonswoop: 6/10: Solid name, I don't really have much to say about it though...except that it kinda makes me think of the dreamworks moon, idk why. Icyfog: 9/10: Ooooh, nice! Beautiful imagery of winter fog. Bluebellmoth: 7/10: Not gonna lie, I first read this as "Bluebellmouth" and now I'm a little disappointed. Moth makes it prettier though. Lovely name! Skyplume: 7/10: Solid name without much to complain about. I like it and think it's a pretty name overall. Tempestheart: 7/10: I think that "Tempest" is a beautiful word and interesting choice, but at the same time makes the name feel wordy? Perhaps heart sounds too different from tempest and interupts the flow? I don't know, it's a bit jarring so maybe a different suffix could work? I feel like I'm rambling, but that's because I like the name, and figure out how to improve it. Maplefern: 7/10: It's a pretty good name. Short, but sweet. Beechrose: 7/10: I like this name, it's nice and warm sounding. Umbershade: 8/10: I think this really cool! Both prefix and suffix sound pretty and I love the "darker" vibes. Goldenheather: 6/10: There's nothing wrong with this name. It's simple and to the point, but nothing that stands out to me. Overall, it's a good name. Nightecho: 7.5/10: Very cool. I like how it makes me think of owl calls and other sounds that echo through the night. Overall, it's a pretty sounding name with good imagery. Haremeadow: 7/10: Cute name! Makes me think of a bunch of hares in a meadow. Burrowbark: 7/10: Another nice name! I also think it sounds pretty cute...like bark-burrowing insects or other animals.

I've got some names!! Copperwing: 8/10: Ooh, I like the sound of this one! A pretty name with nice imagery. Moonwhisp: 7.5/10: I am a tiny bit conflicted on this (and on the prefix "moon" in general) but it sounds pretty! Elkprance: 8/10: This is really cute! I love elk and "prance" is just an adorable suffix. Onyxriver: 6/10: It's a cool name, but I feel like having two strong sounded words makes the flow a little odd. Blurrynose: 6/10: Cute, but I am not sure what a blurry nose would look like lol. Mothlight: 8.5/10: Nice! Like moths drawn to the light. It's a pretty name and I could easily see a canon character being named this. Puddlesky: 8/10: A cute name! I'd imagine a slightly stormy, drizzly sky. "Puddle" is a nice prefix and I like seeing, plus having a shorter word at the end keeps the flow nice and fun to say. Fallenflame: 7.5/10: Oooh, I would be interesting in the cat with this name; it sounds like they would be a little mysterious with a potentially dramatic past, but that could just be the word "fallen" lol. I could also imagine a dying flame. Cool name. Canyonfrost: 7.5/10: Pretty cool name! The imagery of a canyon covered in snow is beautiful. Cliffsnow: 7/10: Similar to Canyonfrost, it's a cool name with beautiful imagery, I am not sure if it would work better as Cliffsnow or Snowcliff though. Cricketshine: 7.5/10: Aw, cricket is a cute prefix. I like the name overall. It's plain but effective. Frostedmoon: 7.5/10: Cool sounding name! I think I like "moon" better as a suffix than a prefix, but either can work; it's a pretty name though, like the night sky in winter. Newtspin: 7.5/10: I just imagine a newt spinning in circles and I think that's adorable. Fun name! Horizonpetal: 6/10: I like "horizon" and "petal" and they both have pretty imagery but I am not sure how I feel about them together. It's not a bad name though! Tallwater: 6/10: I am not sure what to think of this name, but I still enjoy it. Goldenhaze: 7.5/10: Simple and effective; I could also see this as a name in the books. It's also pretty!

Hello! I've got some OC names. Hope it's not too many! Heatherfrost: 8.5/10: Pretty name! I love the "frost" suffix and I think it pairs well with the prefix. Rainberry: 9/10: It's both cute and pretty and I like it! Leafstorm: 8/10: Both straight to the point and a nice sounding name! Goldenbreeze: 7/10: Hmm, it's a pretty name, but not quite my cup of tea. Honeycloud: 8/10: Sweet name! I can almost smell the honey from here. Overall, simple but nice. Cindersong: 9/10: Very pretty! I love how both the prefix and suffix sound together, and it has pretty imagery (like a somber song as cinders fall or something like that). Badgertuft: 9/10: Cute! It is more of a plain name, but it works very well! Stormstrike: 7.5/10: Fun name! Storm names are usually pretty nice, and "strike" adds a strong tone to it. Maplesky: 7.5/10: I don't have much reasoning other than it's a pretty name just not quite up in the favorites, but it is a solid name. Applefrost: 8/10: Reminds me of an apple slush, but it is a good name! It sounds pretty and I like both "apple" and "frost" used in names. Emberstrike: 8.5/10: Good, strong name that definitely gives clear imagery.

Wishfeather: 6/10: Pretty and peaceful. I don't know how I feel about "Wish" but I think it works all right here. Wishflame: 7/10: I like 'wish' with 'flame' a lot better, it gives a stronger feeling. Dreamspark: 8/10: Pretty cool, sounds inspiring. Faithfur: 3/10: I just don't really know how to feel about this one. Lavenderwhisker: 7/10: Very nice. Calming name. Sapphirefur: 6/10: A bit odd to say because the end of the prefix and suffix sound somewhat similar but not bad overall. Indigoshade: 8/10: Indigo is a pretty name and I like how it goes with shade. Amberblaze: 9/10: I really like this one! It just sounds cool. Goldenheart: 6.5/10: A bit generic but it sounds pretty. Crimsonclaw: 7/10: Sounds cool, nice alliteration, clear visuals and effectiveness. Lilacwhisker: 8.5/10: Nice name. I don't have much comment other than I like it. Wrenfeather: 9/10: Cute! It's plain but works fantastically as a name! I like the sound of it a lot. Fernfang: 9/10: I like this one a lot! Ferns are cool and fang provides a sense of danger along with alliteration! Marigoldpelt: 6.5/10: plain but still effective. Honeysuckleclaw: 5/10: Too wordy but a nice attempt. I love honeysuckle but it automatically makes a name really long lol. Petalstrike: 8/10: Cool name. I like flower names paired with something more violent. Thistlebloom: 7.5/10: Sweet-sounding name. Thistles are cool and I think this draws attention to the beauty of thistles instead of the sharpness. Tulipfur: 6/10: generic but cute. Bluebelltail: 6/10: Feels a bit too word and too many Ls but is good overall. Petalstorm: 8.5/10: Very nice imagery and sounds cool! Lupinefang: 9/10: I love the lupine as in the plants and have never seen it used in name before, plus I think it pairs welll together.

Dazzlefox: 6/10: Don't necessarily like "Dazzle-" but it's a fine name overall. Stormsnarl: 10/10: Oooh, I really like this one! Strong imagery, plus some fun alliteration. Adderthorn: 5/10: I just don't think it sounds great together. Sandfeather: 6/10: Simple but good. Rustwing: 7/10: Pretty good; I often enjoy the "-wing" suffix. Bladefrost: 8/10: Sounds cool! Not sure how I feel about "Blade-" but I suppose it could mean a blade of grass or something similar. Pinefleck: 7/10: Cute and pretty! Tawnybreeze: 6/10: Simple and effective, sounds like a background character from the books. Nightcurl: 10/10: I don't know...this just sounds super cute to me! I really love it and I'm not sure why lol. "Night" makes it slightly edgy but "curl" usually seems adorable so the name just seems pretty wholesome? It sounds pretty too. Tempestbloom: 6/10: It's pretty, a bit lengthy but still sounds nice. Eelspots: 8/10: I love eels so this name pleases me lol. Riverstep: 9/10: Yes! I love it! I'd come up with something like this lol. I love the "-step" suffix and water names. Squirreldusk: 5/10: It's a unique name and I appreciate that but it just doesn't flow that well. Almondbeak: 5/10: I can only imagine a bird. I don't know how to apply this to a cat. Maybe a cat with a darker muzzle? Quillshiver: 7/10: Pretty cool! Poisontuft: 6/10: Hmmm it's a nice name but not really my cup of tea.

Here are some names! Smokestorm: 8/10: Pretty name! It sounds nice and gives strong imagery. Ashcloud: 7/10: It's nice, a little plain, but still effective. Sunstream: 9/10: Ooooh, I really like this one. Very pretty and reminds me of rays of sunlight. Ravenberry: 7/10: Cute! Sparrowbreeze: 6/10: I think it's a little lengthy but it's nice overall. Brindledust: 7/10: Cute name, I love the use of "-dust" here. Cherrysplash: 7/10: This name is also very cute! It makes me think of throwing a cherry into water lol. Mintfrost: 8/10: Both pretty and cute! Overall a good sounding name!

Featherblaze: 7/10: Nice name, like feathers on fire...strong imagery but it's overall a plain-sounding name. Not bad though. Orchardlight: 8/10: Nice! I love the use of "orchard" and I can clearly visualize light streaming through the trees. Raisincrest: 6/10: I love "crest" and the name doesn't sound too bad, I just don't know how to feel about "Raisin" in a name...I also dislike raisins so maybe that contributes lol. Brackenmist: 7/10: Overall a solid name. It sounds pretty and has some nice imagery. Fogpath: 8/10: Nice and mysterious! Slumberpool: 7.5/10: I imagine a cat taking a nap by a pool. It seems like a peaceful name. Olivestreak: 7/10: Simple and effective. Hootwhisker: 6.5/10: This is literally the name of one of the cats in the books (he's a WindClan warrior) so obviously it works as a warrior name. It sounds like what a warriors background character would be called and it actually is so good job on having a name that blends in with the warriors universe. Eveningpetal: 8/10: Pretty imagery; I am not sure if "evening" flows well but honestly the name is too pretty for me to care much. Dustyflame: 7/10: Interesting. Immediately I think of ashes, but I'm not sure what a dusty flame would look like. It's a pretty cool name though and I could easily see a warrior cat being called this. Bramblebounce: 6/10: Cute but not really my favorite name out there. It is fun to say though and has nice alliteration.

Ghostsight: 7/10: Overall, a very nice name! Pretty and somewhat spooky so it sounds nice. Sunpelt: 6/10: It's simple but it works well so it's pretty good! Rivermist: 8/10: Nice name! Very pretty sounding! Goldenmask: 7.5/10: I love the 'mask' suffix and 'Golden' makes it even more pretty! Batflight: 9/10: "Bat" is so cute!! It's a simple but adorable name. Fallenstone: 7/10: It's a pretty nice name! Thicketstorm: 6.5/10: I like both of the words, but I don't know how I feel about them together; it is good overall though. Sweetecho: 7/10: This is a nice name! It reminds me a lot of Sweetpaw from the series and would be a nice warrior name. Lostheart: 6.5/10: Oooh, a pretty name, sounds a bit bittersweet too.

Heyy I'm new here but mind if I add some name ideas?? here are a few... Ashsight/eye - a name for a blind cat or one who lost their sight: 7.5/10: I like "Ashsight" a lot! Asheye is also a pretty good name and I think using "Ash" is a pretty nice naming choice. Wolffrost: 9/10: I really like this one! Wolf is one of my favorite prefixes and frost is one of my favorite suffixes and I like how they sound together! The only problem I have with this is the double f is a bit odd to read but that's not really that big of a deal so it's a great name overall! Echoshade: 8/10: Another fantastic name! I like how "mysterious" it sounds, like hearing an echo while in the shade/dark. Skyshade: 7.5/10: Pretty name. I can really visualize a bunch of different shades of the sky (morning, evening, night, etc.) Mooncloud: 7/10: I instantly think of a moon hiding behind clouds and that's a pretty image. I don't know if I like the sound as much as I liked the others, but it is still a nice name. Hawkscar: 8/10: Another really cool name! Willowsong: 9/10: Very pretty! A peaceful, beautiful sounding name. Dawnwisp: 8.5/10: Beautiful name! I really like how it both looks and sounds. and last for now Shadeslash: 8/10: A pretty cool name! I don't often see "Shade" as the prefix (though I know there are some instances of that) so I think that's a nice detail.

Some Clangen names (reasons pls): Pondhoney - 4/10: I just don't really like how it sounds together. Sorrelcall - 8.5/10: I love the suffix "-call!" Chasingbright - 3/10: It just sounds weird to me. Primpurr - 8/10: Very cute! Havenleaf - 7.5: This is a great name overall and I think "Haven" is a pretty prefix, I don't know how well "leaf" pairs with it though. Applefreckle - 10/10: I don't know why but this is just adorable to me! Prancenip - 7/10: A cute name, but I don't know how to feel about "prance" Wildhaze - 8.5/10: Oooh, nice name! Pebblepad - 7/10: Cute name, but it makes me think the cat keeps stepping on pebbles and hurting their paws lol. Bushscratch - 6/10: This name is pretty cool, but it feels a bit boring too, like it's just telling us that a bush can scratch you. Branchbee - 5.5/10: It just sounds a little odd. Hemlockfire - 7/10: Feels like a really long prefix but super short suffix so it feels a little unbalanced, but it's nice overall. Gannetreed - 6.5/10: Not bad, I think it sounds fine aloud but looks a little weird in written form.

How about some random generated names? Reasons if you can please! Asterhawk: 8/10: I like the flower name paired with a bird of prey Aphidcry: 5/10: I've never seen aphid as a prefix so props for that, but I don't think it flows well overall. Elkberry: 6/10: I have mixed feelings on it, but it's all right overall. Smokefin: 7/10: I like how it sounds, but it makes me think of a fish being cooked, which I'm not sure if I feel is negative or positive. It is pretty though, a little bland, but nice all the same. Frosttrail: 10/10: Honestly, this is beautiful. The double "t" threw me off at first but I love the name! Tatteredstep: 9/10: I love the suffix "step" and "tattered" is a unique prefix! Juniperfawn: 7/10: Pretty good, not my favorite, but not much to complain about. Bumblesting: 8/10: Cute! The poor cat probably got stung by a bee though Antlerbounce: 8/10: Makes me think of prancing deer, very sweet. Mothglade: 10/10: Ooh, this one's nice, I think of a bunch of moths flying over the grass. Tanglespark: 8.5/10: It reminds me so much of my screenname lol. Cute name. Kindlebeak: 4/10: This one just sounds a bit weird, props for the unique prefix though, I'd love to see it used somewhere else. Stoneflurry: 5/10: I don't think it pairs well together, though it does conjure interesting imagery. Gravelwhisper: 8/10: Like quietly stepping along gravel. I love the unique prefix and will generally like names with "-whisper" so this one's pretty good. Fenneltrot: 7/10: "-trot" is cute, the name feels a little plain but is nice overall. Barleyshiver: 4/10: While I love "-shiver" I don't think it works here. Ternspots: 7/10: Nothing outright bad about this, but still not my favorite, pretty cute overall. Burrsplash: 6/10: I feel like this cat is just diving into burrs lol. Not a bad name though. Cowblaze: 6/10: I am not sure how to feel about this one, it works well enough though.

Some Lifegen names (reasons pls!) Hopesplash: 6/10: I normally dislike the prefix "hope" but find this name pretty endearing for some reason. Clovewhisker: 7/10: Cute name! I like the use of "Clove." Waspbriar: 7/10: I find both the prefix and suffix adorable and like the name overall. Quillspirit: 8/10: "Quill" is such a nice prefix, works as a suffix as well. Poppyhowl: 6/10: It's okay, a nice name overall, I am not the biggest fan of how it sounds though. Spikeflicker: 6/10: It's cute and has some nice sounds but it just doesn't vibe with me. Shadedglare: 7/10: I can just imagine this cat giving you a nasty glare; the name has a lot of personality or could just describe a cat with dark eyes/eyes with spots over them. Drizzleegg: 3/10: Eh, it makes me think of runny eggs and I'm really not a fan of them. Fluffeyes: 5/10: Interesting...perhaps the cat has tufts above its eyes/fluffy eyebrows or just always gets fluff in thier eyes lol. I don't really care for how the name sounds but it has potential. Robintail: 7/10: Plain yet effective. Peatpelt: 7/10: Same with Robintail, but this time it has some alliteration which is fun. Cressfeather: 8/10: It sounds pretty. Shinemoth: 6/10: I could see it working but "Shine" seems like an odd prefix.

okay so Imma put 10 names for all the name raters to see the differences. Gonna try and make them diverse reasons? Thistleleap: 7/10: I like this name overall; "Thistle" is a nice prefix and is pretty fun when paired with "-leap" Featherstorm: 8/10: This is very pretty; it feels a little basic but not enough to deter from giving it a high rating. Sweetwhisker: 6/10: It's cute but I don't have any strong feelings towards it. Sagecreek: 6.5/10: Pretty sounding name, not my cup of tea but it's still very nice. Tansyspark: 6/10: Not much to gripe at here, it's a cute name but not one I would personally use. Silentdream: 4/10: It feels too much like just a word/saying. Tundrashadow: 6/10: A solid name with good visuals. Rivertwirl: 6/10: Not sure how I feel about "-twirl" but it is a very cute and pretty name! Ebonythicket: 8/10: I really like this despite the wordiness. Hibiscusflame: 5.5/10: It's pretty but I don't feel like the prefix and suffix match each other that well.
