Hey, since they are kind of different I just wanted to make sure you were good with some AU naming. An idea for "Semi-Antrho warrior cats that seudo warship the norse gods because of their border with them" hit and I have a few names for charaters. Power of three/ Omen time period.

I just coppied the Family tree so a few cannn might have slipped through lol To be clear I kept the legacy naming with Bramble so Fire named him BrambleFlower after his mother. TigerStar named Tawny after himself I also think Showtuft might be Snowkit, which is a woops on my end for just stealing tuft Last edit: I only read the first books
Oh, in that case Brambleflower is really cool!! Goldenflower's name slipped my mind for a second. I think the name itself still stands with what I said, but in the Brambleclaw/flower context, that's a great and fitting name for him; it also sounds pretty nice. And of course Tigerstar would name someone after himself; that causes potential drama in the story though so I still like it.

Hey! I got a few more for you! Vipersnap Copperflint Nectarbee Honeycreeper Pumpkinnose Fruitflower Vipersnap: 9/10: it's quick and (forgive the pun) snappy; it's also just fun to say, and much more clever than something like 'Snakebite' I think it's a clever, neat sounding name. Copperflint: 7/10: Hmm I like the feel of this name, although I don't really have much commentary on it. Nectarbee: 5/10: It's not necessarily a bad name but it feels a little weird to me. Honeycreeper: 7/10: Is this inspired by the bird? Either way, it's a nice name! I like the contrast of something typically "sweet sounding" like "honey" paired with something a bit more unnerving like "creeper" Pumpkinnose: 7/10: Cute! Perfect for the fall season! Fruitflower: 5.5/10: It feels a little off to be honest, but it's not too bad, I feel like it's a bit wordy and could use some adjusting.

A couple of these names were from a Warriors Clan I came up with a couple of years back! I reworked Copperflint from Copperspark, but Nectarbee and Fruitflower remain the same! And yes, Honeycreeper is inspired by the bird! I thought I was the only one who knew about them! I had a question about them on my biology test once and I became hooked on their names!

I've been indexing the names I use for fanclans just to see what kind of trends I have in naming conventions (and if I've ever been really stuck on one prefix-suffix combo) and I haven't done any data analysis on it yet BUT it has reminded me of many great names so here's a few Indigothorn: 7/10: Very pretty name; I like the visuals for this; "Indigo" is a little bit wordy but I love the color and what it adds to the name so I have a little bit of mixed feelings. Antlersnow: 8/10: Snow covered antlers...pretty. I like the visuals for this. Dawnbubble: 7/10: Cute! Reminds me of blowing bubbles on a sunny day. Driftwing: 7/10: A solid name, lots of movement. Hailpounce: 7/10: Another solid name; like hail bouncing off the ground; very nice. Juniperleap: 7/10: Good name, I feel like I've seen it somewhere before? But it's a nice name; tree names are always fun. Lichenflight: 7.5/10: I'm envisioning wings covered in lichen and that's pretty cool. Petalsneeze: 8/10: It's kinda adorable, although it seems like this cat would be allergic to flowers. Poisonstripe: 6/10: I feel this one is a little generic but it's still a solid name. "Poison" is an interesting prefix though...

I'm good with that as long as I keep the context in mind. Grat I'll add a bit of contect First it goes as follows King of the Clan- Clan Yarls- Healers- Warrior Classes (Viking, Shield-Maiden, beuilder, farmer, hunter Carers and Lore Keepers) Some of these were a pain to come up with and even though there kind of renames I'll toss (Cannon Name) just for some context
King Fire Lionspirit (Firestar): 8/10: Very heroic sounding name, fitting for a leader and protagonist like Firestar. Yarl Bramble Star's Chosen (Brambleclaw): 7.5/10: I like "Star's Chosen" - it makes him feel important. The name has serious character vibes so that's pretty cool. Healer Leaf Seers-Pool (Leafpool): 7/10: I want to like it more, and I feel like some parts of it work, but I can't get over that it's basically just Leafpool with "Seers" inserted like a middle name or something. Although it's not that bad, so I'll still give it a solid rating. Thorn Sharp-blade (Thornclaw): 8/10: Nice. It suits his character too. Storm Omebringer (Stormfur): 9/10: I really like this for Stormfur; it sounds cool, mysterious, and a bit powerful. Squirrel Flokispirit (Squierlflight): 8/10: It feels right for Squirrelfight. It also just has a fun sound. Bright Ironside (Brightheart): 6/10: Interesting choice; I like the idea for the name, but am not sure how I feel about the sound. I like how it implies strength though and that's great for Brightheart. Cloud Trygve (Trustworthy) [Cloudtail]: 7/10: A solid name for Cloudtail; I can't really complain about much other than it's a bit plain when compared to the others, that isn't a bad thing though. Crow Windborn (Crowfeather): 7/10: Another solid name. Berry Bobbed-Tail (Berrynose): 8/10: I don't know why but this name is just really adorable. Maybe it's the alliteration and the word berry; it's just cute sounding. Also I can visualize Berrynose with this name. Daisy Allcarer (Daisy): 7/10: It's a good name that seems to speak well to her role. Jay Moon-in-the-Eyes (Jayfeather): 5/10: I have some mixed feelings; mostly that it feels very wordy compared to the others; also I don't know, I feel like Jayfeather should something related to healing but maybe not. Tawny Thunderborn (Tawnypelt): 7/10: A solid name, though it is very similar to Crow's, however, I feel like having this name would add drama if her living in ShadowClan is still a big deal in this universe; I think it is a name that could definitely add to her character in this case. Kesteral Snowingfur- Black tom with unusually growing snow white spots, learning to be a healer. (Kesteralfeather): 8/10: I like this one; Snowingfur is such a great way to imply growing white fur. I like this name. Moth Torn-Wings: 9/10: Assuming this is Mothwing? This is a really cool name though. Torn-wings is so dramatic and I really like that because it feels like there would be some conflict within the character; it's a pretty cool name. Misty Torsheild (Thorsheild) [Mistyfoot]: 8/10: Again, a cool name, I really like how it could be applied to Mistyfoot. Moss Secondspirit (Mosskit-Mosspelt): 7/10: Oh, cool, does Mosskit come back? A pretty cool name, but it could feel a little on the nose if this is Mosskit returning as a new character, that isn't a bad thing though; it's still a pretty good name as it is.

Yarl Badger Windspirit (Tallstar)
Windborn and Thundr born are born in. So Tawny is from ThunderClan and Crow from WindClan.
Brightwas named for Bjorn Ironside partly as a cant be killed thing with her wounds.
Jay Moon-in-the-eyes is also (one my side) a play on Siggurd Snake-in-the-eye (who was born with a deviated pupil) So like how he was named Jayfeather for his eyes, he was named for his show white pupuls I didn't relise i didn't conferm that Moth is Mothwing but it's also a play on the forged Prophecy that pushed her towards being a Healer. A few I did king of want to keep similar names. I did want to honnor her finding the moon pool/ seers pool

That makes sense. It is still important for Leafpool to be named after discovering the Moon pool. And thanks for the explanations. I figured Mothwing would have to do with the false prophecy as well. Also, realized I didn't give Tallstar's/Yarl Badger Windspirit a rating so I'll say 8/10, I like the sound of it and it suits his character

Rollingriver: 7/10: I think it's a fun name, but I am unsure of how I feel about "-ing" words as a prefix; it's still a pretty good name though; sort of playful and powerful. Bellowingwind: 6/10: Similar to what I said with the first name; I think it is still pretty strong though. Whisperingshadow: 7.5/10: I like the mysterious vibes to this one. Roaringthunder: 6/10: It has a powerful sound; I feel similar to it as I do with Bellowingwind. Zephersky: 7/10: This is a pretty neat sounding name; I like the whole sky theme going on here.

For something proper to rank (Using the names of my Pokemon as the Prfix or suffix, I'll bold the actual pokemon name just for fun and put what it is in brackets kind of for fun, but I do imagine them as cats just with markings and wings and stuff) Almondtail (Vulpix) Argentinariver (Magicarp) RoyalCream (Meowth) Crimsonclaw (Krabby) TurtledeFrance (Wartortle, this one's the weakest) Goldstinger (Beedrill) PantoneSeed (Ivysaur) Periwinklewings (Butterfree) Pumpkinlight (Charmeleon) Sandstoneclaw (Sandshrew) Tawnytallon (Pidgeotto) Regalthistle (Nidorino) Tigerlegend (Growlith)

Now that I think of it, I don't really like his name that much, I like him as a character though. If I had to rate his name, I'd probably give it 6 because it isn't a bad name but just not really my preference, mixed feelings but not a lot of dislike for it. I like the idea you had with the alternative Clan leader names, though, and they were all pretty good, but nothing that stood out to me

(I'll look them up at least). Almondtail (Vulpix): 8/10: I like this name a lot! I think it matches the Pokemon's appearance too so I would imagine it's fitting for the cat as well. Argentinariver (Magicarp): 6/10: I am not sure if a cat would use the word "Argentina" but I like the name a lot! RoyalCream (Meowth): 4/10: I just don't really like the sound of it; not really my taste, sorry. Crimsonclaw (Krabby): 8/10: This one is cool! It's not particularly fancy, but it's a great and affective name. TurtledeFrance (Wartortle, this one's the weakest): 4.3/10: Yeah, I may have to agree with you on this one being the weakest; it's all right though. Goldstinger (Beedrill): 8/10: I like this! It's a cool name, plus I like bees, and this sounds both sweet and dangerous. PantoneSeed (Ivysaur): 7.5/10: Though I don't think "pantone" would be in a warrior cat name, I still really like the sound of it. Periwinklewings (Butterfree): 7/10: Cute name! Pumpkinlight (Charmeleon): 8/10: I love this name; reminds me of a jack o' lantern, but also makes sense for a Charmeleon because orange and fire. Sandstoneclaw (Sandshrew): 6/10: I think it's a tiny bit wordy, but it still sounds pretty. Tawnytallon (Pidgeotto): 7/10: The alliteration is nice and it's a pretty good name overall. Regalthistle (Nidorino): 7/10: I like this name for the most part, it sounds very noble. Tigerlegend (Growlith): 7/10: A cool name! Also very cute for Growlith.

Dapplenight: 10/10: Oooh, I really like this one! Reminds me of stars or very subtle specks of light during nighttime. Frigidwhisper: 9.5/10: This one is also really cool! It's very pretty; it makes me think of a cat with a sort of cold personality who has long fur (for some reason). This is a great name! Tansytail: 8/10: A pretty good name! Plain and simple, but still effective and solid. Ripplefrost: 8.5/10: Another really good name! I like this a lot; I imagine ripples in the snow, very pretty. Orchidbloom: 8/10: All your names are so good! Again, simple and effective. A pretty flower name. Tigerblaze: 7/10: Pretty cool. I don't like it as much as the others, but it's still really nice and has cool imagery with a strong sense of personality. Hazelfern: 8/10: Nice name! I love ferns! 'Hazel' and 'fern' are both very pretty sounding and they work great together. Wolfshadow: 9.5/10: I love wolves so I'm a bit bias; I also love names with 'shadow' - this is a nice, pretty, edgy, mysterious name. Dandeliongaze: 9/10: This one is really nice too; I like names with "-gaze" and I also love flower names. This name is soft yet powerful and that makes it effective.

Sunleap: 9/10: Great name! Very warm and energetic; it has a nice vibe and imagery of leaping through sunbeams. Moonfall: 9/10: I like this name a lot too! Very pretty! Sleetstorm: 8/10: Nice alliteration and sound; it flows very well and the stormy vibe is great. Shellstep: 8/10: Another great name; it's fun to say and gives the image of walking along the beach, looking for shells.

Here are a few OCs from my story: Snowfire: 9/10: I love the pairing of opposite things; it makes it a pretty and strong name. Redcreek: 8/10: I like this! Reminds me of a creek soaked in blood or covered in red autumn leaves. Ivoryclaw: 7/10: Cool name; pretty and I like the use of Ivory. Shadowscar: 9/10: Oooh, this one is cool, edgy, and mysterious. I would like to know more about this character, plus there is alliteration so that's a nice bonus. Rockpeak: 6/10: A little boring but still a good name. Bearstrike: 7.5/10: Nice name! Bears are cool and I can just visualize a bear clawing at someone. Indigoshade: 7/10: Cool; the use of a color and then shade is really nice; indigo was also a good choice; it's pretty and calming but has a sense of darkness as well. Chilltuft: 8/10: Cute! It makes me think of a chinchilla for some reason or a snowflake bunny (if you have ever played Tunnel Town lol); I like it; it has the same idea of Snowfur or Snowtuft but with a different cold word that makes it unique! Wavesplash: 7/10: Pretty good; it's straightfoward but it's playful and fun. Firestorm: 7/10: Again, straightfoward but strong and fun. Feels like the characer would be passionate. Meadowspring: 8/10: Pretty! It's a sweet, cute name; I love both meadows and water so overall this name feels very peaceful. Ferretfern: 8/10: I like this! Very cute imagery of a ferret among ferns; I feel like you can also get a pretty clear image of a lithe, sort of ferret-like cat. Lavenderwish: 7.5/10: This one is also very pretty; I feel like this could be the main character of a bittersweet novella (that's a compliment); I think "lavender" makes it feel a little wordy, however, it's such a pretty idea and color. Foxchaser: 7/10: Another straightfoward but cool name! This must be a strong cat to chase after foxes so I'd imagine there's a story behind the name. Gingersnap: 8/10: I love it; gingersnap like the cookie but as a warrior cat name; clever because it is a valid warrior cat name without them even having to know about gingersnaps. Copperpatch: 8/10: Cute name! I love both the prefix and suffix and they work pretty well together! Ochrefluff: 7.5/10: I like this name a lot too; all of your names have been pretty good so far; I like the fluffiness and the use of color gives great visuals. Grizzlyheart: 7/10: Another bear name! This one is great as well; I'd imagine the cat to be like a teddy bear based on the name (that, or they're pretty grumpy ... or possibly both). Wildflower: 8/10: I actually really love the simplicity here; it is probably the most to the point name here; just a wildflower; pretty and simple. Morningshine: 7/10: Sunbeams across a meadow at dawn...nice name; pretty imagery and it makes sense. Cresentsky: 9/10: I am a bit biased because I have an OC named crescent but honestly this is a unique name; I haven't seen anything like this surprisingly because really you would just have to think of a crescent moon in the sky, but I really like it. Owlswoop: 8/10: Cool! Owls on the hunt; the cat probably looks owl-like too; I really like it. Gladefur: 7/10: This one's interesting; it's pretty and I like the word "glade" I like the name overall. Sorry this is so late! Schoolwork has been picking up a lot; it's been a busy semester.

Been a while but I think I'd rather revive this one than make a new thread. Bump!

Yo! I'll give you the same list I gave Copper, see what you think differently about (; Reasons please? Reedsong: 9/10: I love the "song" suffix and I also like anything to do with water, and reeds work great with it. The name makes me think of wind rushing through the reeds, and has overall peaceful imagery. Stonefox: 7/10: I like the idea of a fox made of stone and it gives the imagery of a grey fox which is cool, however I don't know if I like how it sounds/flows. It isn't a bad name though and could also be seen as pretty/cool. Tinypine: 8/10: Cute! Like an adorable little pine tree. It isn't something where you would go "woah, what a pretty name," but it works in its simplicity and is a sweet name! Plain, but effective. Moonspark: 6/10: I like the idea of this name, combining fire and moon visuals is a wonderful idea, but I don't think the name flows together well in this case, but it is a solid attempt. Echosplash: 8/10: Nice name! I've always loved the sound of echo, and water themes so combining them is cool. It feels a little plain to me, though, but there isn't anything wrong with that, it just doesn't stand out much. Overall, it's a solid name! Windpoppy: 7/10: I have mixed feelings on it. I think it sounds pretty but I don't necessarily like how it looks together. It's pretty a nice name overall, though. Acornsnow: 6/10: I like the concept of this name...but it sounds a little odd. Pretty suffix and prefix, but the flow is a bit off. Badgercloud: 5/10: I don't really like the sound of this name, cloud feels like an odd choice to pair with badger, but I don't think it's super terrible, so it can have neutral rating. Birchstone: 7/10: This is a name I could easily see given to a background character in the books; plain enough to blend in, but still sounds nice! Redthorn: 7/10: A cool name; makes me think about rose thorns or blood left on a thorn after being scratched. It sounds like a dangerous name which is cool, but could also be a pretty name like plants with red thorns. I like it overall. Flickerpool: 6/10: Similar feelings as Birchstone, I could see a cat named this in the books, I just don't know how I feel about "Flicker" as a prefix.

thank you!! Flicker- is one of my favorite prefixes I use it too often ;-; both for the flame imagery and the bird. I'm glad you like Tinypine and Stonefox! They're good brothers (; When I made this story in like, late 2016, those were absolutely crazy untraditional names and I got a lot of... not quite angry but more confused people commenting about names like that haha
I gave Copper the warriors of ElmClan, I'll gift you the healers/deputies +elders uwu
