Frostpaw stretched herself out, shaking the sleepiness from her pelt as she strode out of the apprentice den. The white-furred she-cat took in the sights around her, spotting her mentor, Jaywing, and two other warriors next to him, Foxfang and Bouncefoot. She twitched her ears in greeting, approaching him with a raised tail. "Hello, Jaywing," she mewed with a pleasant and respectful tone before turning her odd-colored gaze onto the others. "Are you going on patrol?" Frostpaw's long tail swished the dirt beneath her, and she spotted Patchpaw at the fresh-kill pile and distantly wondered if the apprentice and her mentor would be joining them as well.
The sound of his name being called roused the black-furred tom from his restless sleep, and he let out a low growl in response as he twitched his ears in the direction of the voice. It took Breezepaw's sleep-fogged brain a heartbeat to recognize the voice as his mentor's, and he let out a huff of annoyance before slowly getting to his paws. He quickly shook himself out before glaring in the direction of the mottled she-cat, and stepped forward until he was beside her, ears flat against his head as he regarded her with a look of irritation.

Jaywing
HollowClan Camp with Foxfang, Bouncefoot, Frostpaw Dawn
When the two other warriors agreed to wait while he went off to find Frostpaw, Jaywing dipped his head in thanks and turned around. He was just about to head off, when his paws skidded to a sudden stop spying exactly who he was looking for coming towards him anyway. "Oh," he meowed, clearly in surprise as he looked at his apprentice, "I was just coming to wake you up." But he was pleased that he hadn't needed to, so he just smiled, turning around again towards the two warriors and padded the ever so short distance back towards them. "I think the four of us is enough for a patrol," at the moment, he could only see three other cats awake, one who he had spotted coming back from late night hunting, so he was going to let Mallownose off. As for Gravelpelt and Patchpaw, he didn't really think the patrol needed the two of them to come along as well.
With his mind set, he glanced towards the camp exit, raising his tail slighly. Though he paused again when he noticed Bouncefoot was eating, sighing slightly as he stared at the black and white tom. "Well I suppose if Bouncefoot is eating, anyone else think they want something before we head off? Or can we wait until we get back?" He could wait, while he was a little hungry, the patrol was more important to him than food.
Patchpaw
HollowClan camp with Gravelpelt Dawn "But fishing is so boring," she could never find any enjoyment in just sitting completely still and staring at the water until something swam by. It took a lot of strength for the she-cat to even manage to not move a muscle. Or more than one occasion she had shifted by the edge of the water out of complete boredom and scared all the fish away. "If we have to hunt, I would much rather do it in the forest. Or even at the farm," catching mice and birds was always far more interesting for her. But she supposed she would just have to get her paws wet that morning. At least Gravelpelt was promising to teach her some fighting moves, so it wouldn't be all bad. But first she had to eat, quickly finishing up the small mouse she had picked out with it barely touching the sides as it went down. "I'm done," she announced, barely after swallowing the last mouthful "Can we go now?"

Frostpaw dipped her head in response to her mentor's words, beginning to follow Jaywing with a little bounce in her steps. She was mindful to stop next to him when he paused, though, and gave him a querying look before noticing Bouncefoot picking at a piece of fresh-kill and frowned. Couldn't he wait until after the patrol..? Frostpaw shook her head with amusement but sat down next to Jaywing, drawing a tongue over her right paw. "I can wait," she mewed, twitching her tail. She was restless and ready to learn on their patrol, but she supposed this was a kind of training as well.

"Sorry," Bouncefoot apologized with a small laugh. "I thought I could finish it before everyone was ready to go." He then took a couple quick bites from the vole, finishing it off. The tom then stood up, also ready to go when everyone else was.
______
Gravelpelt finished eating his bird. "Fishing helps with patience, which is important and is something that every cat needs to have," he explained to his apprentice. The gray and white tom then added with a nod, "and yes, we can go now."

Reedwhisker ignored her apprentice's glare with supreme unconcern. "The herb stores are low," she said, flicking her tail. "Take a look. What do we need the most of?" The catmint, of course, was nearly gone from the seasonal outbreak of greencough, but they were surviving on scraps of marigold and cobwebs for the injuries the warriors always accrued no matter the season. Herbs for infection were still decently stocked, but the burdock root was running low and some of it had started to rot. ~~ Foxfang's whiskers twitched. "I can wait," he meowed, getting to his feet once Jaywing returned with Frostpaw in tow.

{ sorry for being absent yesterday! I got super busy }
Jaywing
HollowClan Camp with Foxfang, Bouncefoot, Frostpaw Dawn
He dipped his head when everyone stated that they were good to get going. Jaywing himself was quite eager to get out of camp for awhile, clear his head and try and not think about his father so much. ll that worrying was not going to do him any good and he didn't want to end up in the same position as Nightstar down the line because he spent all of his time these days panicking and thinking too much. So, the senior warrior simply tried to push those thoughts from his head, silently gesturing for the small band of cats to start moving with the tip of his tail as he started to padded off towards the exit at the head of the group.
Patchpaw
HollowClan camp with Gravelpelt Dawn Patience was something Patchpaw was not very good at. Ever since she was a little kit she was far to wriggly and could never sit still for more than five minutes. It was a problem and she was well aware of it, so she seemed to feel as though Gravelpelt's words were more of a jab at her than anything. "I am patient sometimes," she huffed with an indignant twitch of her tail. But she was quick to forget about it, eyes shining as her mentor told her they could get going already. "Great!" She didn't even wait, already starting to bound off towards the entrance. Though she turned her head, checking to see if Gravelpelt was already following or not. But then she crashed right into something, or rather, someone. Somewhat white and fluffy.
Patchpaw was quick to pick her feet up from under her, shaking herself off. "Sorry, Frostpaw!" The young she-cat was quick to apologize, fast to recognize her fellow apprentice and a cat she had practically grown up with. Her and her Breezepaw. "I didn't see you there. Are you guys heading out as well? Gravelpelt is taking me fishing. Which is going to be suuuper broing, but he told me he'll teach me some battle moves later! I'm going to be the best warrior HollowClan has ever seen."

((hi guys!! uwu heres my starters))
Juniperpaw was curled up in his nest after Frostpaw and Patchpaw had already left. He had woken up not too long ago but wanted to soak up his time in his nest as long as he could. It wasn't until the sun's rays had turned from pale to bright orange that the black tom finally unfurled in his nest with a stretch. After shaking out his pelt, he hopped to his paws and out of the den, then glanced around for his mentor - hopefully she hadn't already gone on patrol. Luckily he spotted her grooming her fur in the corner, and started padding toward her.
Lionleap left the den with a shake of her head, fluffing out her neck fur. She woke up as the other warriors trickled out, ready to take on the day. She could see Jaywing forming a patrol; that probably meant Nightstar didn't plan on sorting anything now or later. She glanced around for any other warriors to take hunting, but she wasn't used to gathering or leading a patrol herself.
Poppyface stretched out in front of the second den, letting her fur soak up the morning rays. It would get hotter later in the day, so she wanted to get all regular sun in while she could. She closed her eyes and sighed contently, her eyes flitting over as the morning patrol took off. Poor Jaywing had to pick up the slack his father was creating. She decided it was too early for negative thoughts and went back to relaxing, yet trying not to fall back asleep.

{ I will say again, but welcome to the Clan. I have assigned new mentors for the new apprentices, so please make sure you familiarise yourself with those! } Mallownose
HollowClan camp with Juniperpaw Just after dawn
More and more cats were starting to wake up, though Mallownose had made no attempt what so ever to move herself from her rather comfortable position under the warming sunlight. And why should she? She was the one who was up before it had even gotten light out and had taken herself hunting and padded out the kill pile with a couple more fish. In the she-cat's eyes, she was perfectly entitled to have a break and that was exactly what she was planning on doing. Stretching herself out further once she was done grooming, the silver tabby lowered her head onto her paws, amber eyes closing as she continued to just relax and soak up the sun. But, apparently, it was not to last, the sound of small pawsteps coming closer disturbed the warrior from her break, a single yellow eye opening, though she already knew who it most likely was. "Juniperpaw," she greeted with a yawn, slowly opening up the other eye as she looked at her apprentice, "I expect you wish to start training for the day, no?"
Swiftstrike
HollowClan camp Just after dawn
Swiftstrike had had a rather nice sleep, and a pleasant dream to go along with it. The mackerel tabby tom was more than happy to just dream the rest of his day away, but it was the sound of other warriors waking up which eventually roused him as well. He noted that his sibling was nowhere in sight, but that was not unusual. Mallownose usually woke early and was always gone when he finally opened his eyes. The warrior continued to just laze around for a little while longer, almost tempted to see if he could get some more sleep in before beginning his day. However, the tom eventually did get to his white paws, slowly stretching himself out before padding out into camp to see if there was anything he could lend a paw with.

Juniperpaw quickened his step as Mallownose spoke, and came up to her side. He could tell she was relaxing in the sun right now; it wasn't weird that she was already awake, as she was already doing something or just got back. Usually, he wouldn't disturb her until later, but this time he wanted to get out when it still felt nice, not too hot. "Mmhmm," he mewed, then added with a soft purr, "Although you look pretty comfortable right now." He tilted his head at her. "Were you out early again?"
Lionleap flicked her ear as Swiftstrike left the den. Thank StarClan there's more warriors here, she thought as she turned to face him. "Good morning, Swiftstrike!" she greeted, her tail starting to flick back and forth. Before he could respond she continued, "See, I was thinking some cats should go hunting since Jaywing's taking out a patrol but I felt weird taking a patrol 'cause that makes it sound so serious so I'm just waiting for cats to wake up." She finally paused, then blinked at him. "Wanna go hunting?" She also probably needed to find Batpaw to take with them.

Foxfang padded after Jaywing, his ears twitching as he listened to the sounds of the surrounding forest as it woke up. He watched Jaywing as the younger warrior led the patrol (senior warrior he might be, but Foxfang remembered when Jaywing was a kit and Foxfang was already three moons into his apprenticeship). ~~ Skyfur pulled himself to his feet as Sunkit mrrowed a complaint. "You're letting the cold air in," she whined. Skyfur licked the top of her head. "Why don't you come with me to get something from the fresh-kill pile?" he suggested. "You can pick something out for Emberstalk." Immediately, all of Sunkit's discomfort was forgotten as she bounced towards the entrance. "Do you want a bird?" she asked Emberstalk. "I like birds - or maybe a mouse? Or a fish?"

Batpaw rolled over with a yawn, stretching out luxuriously in her nest. Her paws made no contact with anybody else, which she thought was a little odd, as she usually had that problem in the mornings. She cracked open one eye curiously and peered around, squinting in the gloom. All of her fellow apprentices' nests were empty, she noticed with a twinge of alarm. Had she slept in? She pushed herself to her paws and shook out her fur, extending her claws as she stretched her legs, before leaving the den as quickly as she could. Fortunately, it didn't look to be too late, as numerous cats were milling around camp, including her mentor Lionleap. She bounded over to her mentor, ears pricked. "Morning, Lionleap! Are we going out today?"
Twigpaw watched from his nest through slanted eyes as Breezepaw trudged towards Reedwhisker who had called out for him. Being roused so suddenly from sleep obviously had not sat favourably with the black-furred tom, and Twigpaw felt a twinge of sympathy for his fellow apprentice, however he was quick to disguise it behind a quiet snort. He tucked his paws closer to his chest, raising his head a little to watch as Reedwhisker ordered Breezepaw around; he certainly did not envy the younger tom, as Reedwhisker could be a pain even if you weren't her apprentice. "Anything I can do?" he called out, a groggy rasp in his voice.
Ryeheart wasn't usually one for sleeping in. He was often up at the very crack of dawn, sometimes even beforehand, as he had grown accustomed to doing when he had been courting Nightflower. Lately, however, he'd been falling asleep with more difficulty, and as a result he'd been waking up later and later. He stifled a yawn, rising to his paws and shaking out his dark tabby coat, blinking slowly in the half-light. He could hear voices from outside in the camp, and assumed that most cats were already awake. A few, like Birdsong, were still fast asleep in their nests, so Ryeheart was careful as he picked his way through the cluster of nests and still-sleeping Clanmates. He padded out into the camp with weary paws and looked around; he spotted Batpaw straight away as she bounded towards Lionleap, and was made content by the sight of his daughter as cheerful as ever. Twigpaw was nowhere to be seen, and was likely still in the medicine den with Breezepaw and Reedwhisker. He noticed that a few cats seemed to be assembling for patrol around Jaywing, but the patrol already looked to be large enough so he didn't bother heading over. He'd probably go hunting in a little while, he decided.
Birdsong had been fading in and out of sleep for a while, but she'd been hoping to catch at least a few more winks before having to head out. Some shuffling of moss and paws nearby made her prick her ears, and she soon realised that she likely wouldn't be able to rest for much longer without being disturbed. With a sigh, the she-cat slowly opened her eyes and scanned the den. Ryeheart was just leaving, and the vast majority of nests were empty. She quickly left the den and entered the main camp, glad to see that nobody had left yet, although she noticed that Jaywing's patrol was just about to.

Lionleap turned to Batpaw as she waited for Swiftstrike to reply. "Good morning, Batpaw!" she replied with a purr. Her apprentice - her first! - was coming close to the end of her apprenticeship, and Lionleap couldn't be more proud. However, it was always good to brush up on the basics. "Actually, we're just about to! How do you feel about a hunting patrol?" she asked, her fluffy tail flicking happily.

Reedwhisker sighed internally, wondering why StarClan had seen fit to curse her with two apprentices and no second medicine cat to help. "You could answer the question," she meowed, swinging her head towards Twigpaw. "The herb stores are running low. Take a look and tell me what we need the most."
The catmint, of course, was nearly gone from the seasonal outbreak of greencough, but they were surviving on scraps of marigold and cobwebs for the injuries the warriors always accrued no matter the season. Herbs for infection were still decently stocked (if a bit old and musty), but the burdock root was running low and some of it had started to rot.

Mallownose
HollowClan camp with Juniperpaw Around Dawn
Juniperpaw was correct about one thing - she was rather comfortable right now. Honestly, she she-cat loved nothing better than to just soak up the sun for a little bit, the the morning rays warm her back and ease her into the rest of the day. But, she knew she had duties she needed to attend to, and one of those duties had decided to come and both her already and cut short the sunning session. "You can blame my littermate for myself being awake before dawn," she was quick to respond, opening her mouth into another large yawn, "That mousebrain keeps kicking me in his sleep." One of these days she was going to swap where she slept with one of the other warriors, let them deal with the kicking for a change. Though she loved Swiftstrike, he could be rather annoying to be around. But enough about him, her amber eyes settling on her apprentice again, "But alright, we shall leave in a moment. Is there anything particular you wanted to work on?"
Swiftstrike
HollowClan Camp with Lionleap, Batpaw Around Dawn
"Morning," the tabby tom responded rather simply, making quick work of sitting himself down next to the younger warrior, licking his paw to start cleaning behind his ears. He didn't really want to go hunting, he had better things to be doing, but he didn't want to argue about it, just dipping his head slightly in agreement as he continued to wash himself. Though he lowered his paw back to the ground when Batpaw came running over, greeting her mentor with the excited meows most apprentices donned when they wanted to go training. Not that he had all too much experience with that, but he still remembered when he was an apprentice and would use the same excitement when he wanted to go out training with his mentor.
Nightstar
HollowClan Camp Around Dawn
The old tom had remained in his den for some time after Jaywing left, so lost in his own thoughts that he wasn't even paying attention to the sounds of others rousing around camp. It was not his concern. Oh no, while they all seemed to bother him with their problems, there was a perfect capable Deputy. Mistyfoot was a good cat, a deserving cat, even well respected. So why did everyone want to come and bother him with their issues about organising patrols? Couldn't they just leave him alone in his old age? With an annoyed hiss, Nightstar eventually rose to his unsteady paws and slowly padded from his den. It was starting to get warm outside, the sun starting to rise and old Nightstar decided to make the most of it, settling himself down just by the mouth of his den, tail curling neatly over his paws. Hopefully no one else would want to bother him that morning.
Jaywing
Forest around Camp with Foxfang, Bouncefoot, Frostpaw Around Dawn
Jaywing let his paws simply guide the small patrol of cats away from camp, though he made sure to keep his ears on a swivel just in case any predators or Twolegs from their village were around. It was not the first time a group of them had been seen wandering close to camp. Thankfully, they had kept their distance, but it had been a rather close call. Hopping up onto a fallen log, the dusty gray tom almost slipped, having to hastily jump down on the other side again to avoid embarrassing himself. "Careful," he warned the rest of the group, "That log is a bit slippery, it's still damp from the slight rainfall last night." While he was curled up all warm he had heard the rain hitting against the stones around him.

just a quick question guys, how would you like ageing to work? I was thinking maybe all cats age up 1 moon every couple of weeks or so? Maybe a little more time than that? Anyone got any suggestions on what they would like? And as for Nightstar, he is going to die in the RP at some point in the future. (Every two weeks or so might be good! ^^)
Twigpaw bit back a stinging retort, not too eager to evoke the wrath of Reedwhisker this early on in the day. Instead, he pushed himself slowly to his paws, taking a moment to stretch his legs out, and made his way over to where Reedwhisker and Breezepaw stood by the herb stores. "Catmint, obviously," he mewed before even taking a glance at their stores, his tone blunt, "I don't think we ever stocked up again after the greencough bout." He peered closely at their stores, pale eyes narrowed. "The burdock looks like it's rotting, we should get rid of it." He sat down beside Breezepaw and lifted a paw to groom his ears.
Batpaw perked up immediately at her mentor's suggestion. "Yeah, that sounds great!" she chirped. She quickly turned to Swifstrike and greeted the warrior with a deep, respectful nod, her head snapping back up faster than what might be advised in her eagerness to move out. She enjoyed hunting a lot more than battle training, and she wouldn't hesitate to admit it; her tall, narrow frame was much better suited to stalking prey than fighting, and she could be a bit of a sore loser anyway. As her warrior assessment was fast approaching, she was keen to demonstrate her skills to Lionleap and prove that she was ready to be made a warrior.

(Every two weeks sounds good to me! Also, hello everyone~) Longwhisker
The fluffy tabby tom was never one for early rising - it wasn't that he had trouble with falling asleep or anything, he just tended to sleep through his clanmate's stirring and rising. So when he woke to find the den mostly void of others, weak sunlight painting the empty nests in sharp shadows, the tom wasn't surprised. It seemed to be a bit earlier then usual this morning, but he stretched his legs out all the same, yawning and shaking out his fur to chase the lingering sleepiness out of him. Giving himself a haphazard, almost lazy morning groom, he wonders what everyone was up to today... And, specifically, about Nightstar. Their leader's decline since the loss of Mistyfoot had the fluffy tomcat worried beyond belief and he hoped beyond hope that the dark tom would snap out of it soon.
Shaking his head to clear away the gloomy turn of thought, Longwhisker finally padded out of the den, taking a look around with curiosity, tail swaying behind him. It looked like Lionleap, Batpaw, and Swiftstrike were clustered together - perhaps discussing a patrol of some kind? - while Mallownose and Juniperpaw spoke some ways away. Nightstar was at the mouth of his den and the fluffy tom considered going over to talk with the leader for a moment before moving on with his observations. He caught what looked to be Foxfang's tail disappearing from line of sight out of camp and quickly assumed that the older tomcat was with some of the others, a patrol likely, took a moment to sigh a little gloomily at having missed it - as if him missing dawn patrol was somehow usual. Spying Ryeheart nearest, and alone, Longwhisker padded over to him.
"Good morning, Ryeheart," The friendly tom purred, settling near the other, "Would you perhaps like to go hunting with me? It appears as though the others are rather occupied at the moment."
Whitestreak Whitestreak had been awake through most of her clanmates getting up and leaving the den, but had had no will to actually get up and start the day herself, yet. The tuxedo she-cat still laid curled up in her nest, a paw over her face and tail tucked over that, too, in order to block out the slowly strengthening light of day. She didn't quite want to start the day yet - oh, how she mourned Ebonytail, who always woke her with warmth and kindness, even in the harsh cold of leaf bare. Eventually, though, she had to admit that the day had started and she was to get up and go about her duties. As she finally uncurled and stretched she noticed that even Longwhisker had left and she winced internally, hastening in getting herself up and properly ready for the day with a quick, meticulous groom.
She slunk from the den, eyes brushing over the members of the clan that were currently still around camp, eyes finally settling on Poppyface who was resting in the sun. She wondered idly if the elder she-cat had managed to fall asleep due to the warmth, and decided that she'd go and find out. But first, she padded over to the fresh-kill pile, selecting for herself a mouse to have for breakfast. She paused as she went to approach the elder, wondering if she had eaten yet this morning, and decided to pluck a plump bird out to take with her as well just in case. If she had, no harm done; the bird could always be returned to the pile.
"Hello, Poppyface," The she-cat mewed as she reached the elder, dropping the two prey pieces at her paws and nudging one towards the elder with a paw. "Have you eaten yet? I've brought you a bird, in case you haven't."
Sharppaw
The young she-cat woke suddenly - she always had. She blinked her eyes open and grumbled upon seeing that most of the den was empty, though she took smug pride in the fact that her loathsome brother still slumbered on - she'd woken before him at least. She sat up quickly, stretching herself out and giving herself a thorough groom before quickly making her way out of the den - if she acted as though she'd been up for ages, Sleekpaw would be ashamed to have slept in for so long! A wonderful plan of action, she thought, quickly spying her mentor, Batpaw, and Lionleap conversing nearby. She made a beeline towards the trio, paws quick and light on the ground, determination clear in her eyes.
"Swiftstrike!" She exclaims, likely barging right in and through whatever conversation the three had been holding, not that she particularly cared. "Training? What are we doing today?" She asks impatiently, tail lashing behind her to help rid her of her restless energy. "I think some fighting practice wouldn't hurt, I'm good at hunting, we probably don't need to go over that." She dismisses the idea of working on hunting at all - it was boring, and she was perfectly good enough at that, thank you very much, but even she could admit that she probably could be better at the whole defending and attacking thing, though she was of the opinion that she was at least passable.
Sleekpaw
Contrary to what his darling littermate thought, Sleekpaw had been awake before her - he simply took a bit longer to actually pull himself out of his nest, was all. He sat up and stretched slowly once the she-cat was gone, huffing and rolling his eyes at her incessant need to prove herself better then him. There was no way she could. It would never happen. He was the superior apprentice, after all. He took his time grooming himself, making sure there wasn't a hair out of place on his pelt - it wouldn't do for anyone to see him at anything but his best, after all, who paid any attention to messy-looking cats? Certainly not him.
The thought of messy cats brought to mind his mentor, Bouncefoot, and the tom growled under his breath at the thought of the tom's irritating positivity. As he slipped out of the den, he did a cautious sweep of the main camp space and slumped to the ground by the den entrance in relief at not spying Bouncefoot anywhere nearby. Had he gotten lucky with Bouncefoot going on patrol or something before he decided to get up? He made a note to ask when he next saw the tom.
For now, he settled with simply watching as his wonderful sister shoved her way nose-first into the little group including her mentor and scoffed, contenting himself with simply lazing about in the sun for now.

Lionleap purred at Batpaw's excitement and was even glad Swiftstrike subtly agreed to come. She was about to mention his apprentice when, speak of the devil, Sharppaw all but bowled into the group of cats. She turned to her as she spoke, her whiskers twitching in amusement. "We can do that after we go hunt," she said, keeping her tone positive. "Hunting and fighting are both important."
Juniperpaw tilted his head to the side in thought. "Fishing," he said after a moment. "I'm still not very good at it." Which was embarrassing to say since that was how most of their prey was caught, and he knew especially Mallownose liked to fish. Before she could respond, the little tom settled beside his mentor and started licking at his paws. "But we don't need to rush," he added. Sitting in the sun, even for a moment, did look nice.
Poppyface actually had fallen asleep, but her eyes flicked open when Whitestreak began speaking. She glanced down at the blackbird, then let out a raspy purr. "I haven't yet, dear. Thank you!" she mewed, nosing the bird closer to her. Then she untucked one paw and tapped it on the ground. "Sit, sit, unless you planned to eat with someone else," she added teasingly.

Mallownose
HollowClan camp with Juniperpaw Around Dawn
A purr of amusement left the pale gray warrior, "Well, not every cat is good at everything. So I wouldn't worry about it too much, you still have a lot of time to get better." And she had a lot of confidence in her apprentice, she would soon turn out to be a decent warrior and deserving of his warrior name in no time at all she was sure. Despite his small stature, she could see him being a fine warrior, and that pleased Mallownose greatly. "But fishing it is," she agreed, though not all too thrilled to get her paws wet again that morning having already brought some fish back once today. At least in this warm weather they would dry off quickly, and it wouldn't be as bad when you had to fish in freezing temperatures so your paws got all frozen and ice clung to the wet fur. "I am in no rush if you aren't," in fact, she was more than pleased to get a little more time just to lounge around
Swiftstrike
HollowClan Camp with Lionleap, Batpaw, Sharppaw Around Dawn
Almost as if he had cursed himself, a bundle of energy came barrelling towards them, instantly inserting herself into the conversation with an impatience you would only find in apprentices. Sharppaw really was a pawful to work with, but then the gray tabby supposed she mirrored him somewhat with that as he had been just the same. In fact, not much had changed over the moons. "What Lionleap said," he was thankful that the younger warrior had been the one to explain, though he did feel he had to say a little more, "You might not need more practice hunting, but your duty is to still bring home prey for the rest of the Clan. You can't go just thinking about yourself and what you want to do." Which did suck, he had to agree, as he would actually rather go over fighting techniques. "I promise we'll practice after, alright?" And he knew that she was going to need the practice, it would not be very long now until she was ready to receive her warrior name, Swiftstrike was unsure what else he could teach her before she was ready. The only question would be whether Nightstar would be up for it or not. But the warrior didn't want to think about that, for now, he would focus on making sure Sharppaw was as ready as she could be.

Reedwhisker nodded once. "Find some, then. Marigold and cobwebs as well," she added. "Breezepaw, go with him." She peered out of the medicine den to see Nightstar curled up in a patch of sunshine and sighed. "I need to bring Nightstar his herbs." The old medicine cat had tried a hundred different combinations in an attempt to get some improvement out of Nightstar, but she was beginning to think it was beyond her. The basics of traveling herbs - for energy and strength - made up the backbone of her daily packets. It wasn't something she involved her apprentices in. Experimentation (even as rudimentary as this) was best left to the masters. Perhaps when they had a few more moons of training under their fur. ~~ Foxfang sank his claws into the log as he jumped atop it. Jaywing hadn't been exaggerating - the rain from the night previous had left the wood slick and slippery. He jumped down next to Jaywing and tasted the air. The smell of Twolegs was faint, but fresh - they were close by but traveling away from camp.

Batpaw mewed a greeting to Sharppaw as the slightly older apprentice made her energetic arrival. She momentarily flattened her ears to her head in dismay at the thought of having to practice battle techniques, especially with Sharppaw, considering her denmate was much more adept at fighting than she was. Not to mention she hated losing, and she always lost. She was tempted to ask Lionleap if they had to, but decided that keeping her mouth shut would likely be the best course of action in this situation; after all, it was her mentor's decision. Something that Sharppaw might do well to remember, a voice in the back of her head piped up almost maliciously, and Batpaw blinked in surprise at her own thought. She pushed it away and composed herself, shaking out her charcoal fur.
Twigpaw had barely opened his mouth to respond when Reedwhisker turned away from them. He could just barely glimpse Nightstar in the mouth of his den if he craned his neck enough, but that hurt, so he didn't bother for long. "I'd be absolutely honoured," he grumbled under his breath, rolling his eyes a little. He reached out with a paw and fished out the rotting burdock, giving it a sniff to confirm his suspicions; the roots were indeed decomposing as he had suspected. "I'll throw this away," he mewed to Breezepaw, not really looking over his shoulder at the younger tom, as he gingerly picked up the roots between his teeth. As expected, the rot made them taste beyond foul, and his throat convulsed as soon as his teeth made contact with the root. He carried it to the opposite end of the den and pushed it carefully through one of the cracks in the walls that made a hole large enough for his paw, letting it fall down onto the other side.
Ryeheart glanced up as he heard pawsteps approaching, and greeted Longwhisker with a warm purr. "Morning, Longwhisker," he mewed, twitching his whiskers. At the other tom's suggestion he perked up visibly; he had just been thinking of going hunting, actually, so Longwhisker's offer had come at the perfect time. "It certainly seems that way, Jaywing's dawn patrol just left - I suppose we both missed it." He chuckled, curling his tail around his paws. "Would you like to eat first or should we head out now?" he asked with a small tilt of his head as he turned his gaze on Longwhisker.

(my split second decision: duskfall has a heavy russian accent) Duskfall let out a large yawn as she stretched her long legs and made her way out of the nursery, shaking out her pelt. She grumbled to herself as she moved through camp to get a bite to eat; she was starving. She figured it was just the pregnancy, but still. It was annoying and uncomfortable. Practically ignoring most cats she saw, she dug around the pile until she found a plump squirrel to chow down on. A small smile spread across her face as she picked it up and carried it to a shady spot nearby. She looked across camp and, spotting her kits, beckoned for them to come over and say good morning. Just like any typical day. The two scampered over at their mother's signal. "Good morning, my babies," she purred. "You want squirrel, yes? No?" Drizzlepaw was about to nod his head yes, before Lavenderpaw stepped forward and put her tail on her brother's shoulder. "Nope," she mewed. "We have to train before we eat anything..." she almost rolled her eyes. "Although the squirrel is tempting, mother."Duskfall narrowed her eyes. "Whatever you say," she mewed, thumping her tail against the ground. "Though don't complain to me when you come back from your training all hungry and tired."Lavenderpaw huffed and turned to stalk away. Drizzlepaw followed nervously. Duskfall closed her eyes. "Kits these days. So ungrateful," she mewed to herself before taking a bite of her squirrel. Lavenderpaw made her way (with Drizzlepaw closely on her tail) through camp, searching for either their mentors or some fellow, unoccupied apprentices. No dice, really. She had spotted Frostpaw, Jaywing, and her own mentor earlier before her mother had called for her. They seemed to have disappeared by the time that Lavenderpaw was hunting for them.Drizzlepaw flattened his ears. "I think I'm going to go to the medicine cat den," he mewed. "I'd like to visit the medicine cat apprentices..." he managed to twist around and head the other way before Lavenderpaw got a chance to respond.

Juniperpaw took the time to groom down anything sticking up off his pelt since he didn't give himself the chance to earlier. After a few peaceful moments, he drew his paws over his face a few more times, then got back to his paws. "Okay, now let's go," he mewed with a twitch of his whiskers, looking over at his mentor. He wasn't looking forward to fishing that much either, but he enjoyed spending time with Mallownose. Plus the fish you got to eat afterward.
((oh i also think the one moon every two weeks is good!!))

Sharppaw
Lionleap and Swiftstrike's words sent an unhappy tingle down her back and she grumbled, not pleased that her desire to work on the skills she was lacking more in first were brushed aside in favor of hunting first instead. Surely they could've done a bit of fishing or something after training their fighting skills? She sat down with a little huff, tucking her tail over her paws and side-eyeing Batpaw. Starclan knows some of them needed it more then others. She returned her attention to Swiftstrike and Lionleap then, voice a reluctant mew when she spoke "Yes, Swiftstrike, Lionleap," She mumbled, clearly unhappy with the older cat's words, but willing to give in. For now, at least.
Whitestreak
The black and white she-cat ducked her head a little bit and sat at Poppyface's insistence, a little embarrassed that she hadn't thought to sit when she arrived. "You're very welcome, Poppyface. Did you sleep well?" She asks, watching the elder she-cat for a moment before she bent down to take a bite of her mouse, savoring the flavor of it as she waited for her meal-partner's response.
Longwhisker
Longwhisker was pleased at the sight of the slightly younger tomcat's clear enthusiasm at the idea of going hunting together, a warm happiness settling in him as he thought over eating now or later. He looked up at the sky, noticing that it was still early enough, and he turned his attention back to Ryeheart with a thoughtful hum. "i suppose it's early enough to hunt first. We'll likely be back before we get particularly ravenous." He stood, stretching himself out with a purr. "Though it's a shame that we missed the dawn patrol. The clan must eat, though, so perhaps it's better we set to hunting after all?" He mused, starting towards the entrance of camp at a slow, lumbering pace, not in any rush.

"Chew some mint to wash out the taste, we have plenty," Reedwhisker told Twigpaw before padding out out of the den and over to Nightstar.
She dropped the herbs at the old cat's with minimal ceremony. "Here," she meowed. "Eat these."

Lionleap nodded firmly, but a smile lit up her face immediately after. "Alright, let's go!" she purred, pivoting around toward the camp entrance. As she walked she continued to speak. "I think we should go to the clearing around the farm so that when we're done we can easily start battle training." Both apprentices were older and practically knew how to fish likes pros, but Lionleap liked to make sure they knew how to hunt out of the water as well. She glanced over to Swiftstrike. "What do you think?" she asked, flicking an ear.
Poppyface took a bite of her bird as Whitestreak settled down, taking the time to chew. When asked about sleep, she swallowed and looked warmly at the young warrior. "Slept just fine, although I woke up earlier than I needed to," she said with a laugh. "It is awfully quiet" she added softly, then quickly looked back at Whitestreak with a smile. "But it's better than hearing snoring and getting kicked all night, I'm sure. How did you sleep?"

Whitestreak
The she-cat chucked in mildly exasperated fondness at the mention of snoring and sleep-kicking, looking up at the sky for a moment as if asking Starclan for aid in sleeping through the various noises and movements in the den at night, the motion and the expression on her face overly-dramatic to hopefully pull a chuckle from Poppyface. "Oh, I think all of us are up a tad earlier then usual today, even Longwhisker!" She motioned with her tail towards where the fluffy tom was conversing with Ryeheart, amusement in her voice.
"As for myself... Well. I slept as well as I can." Her voice takes on a bit of a somber note and she takes another quick mouthful of mouse to chase away the sadness she felt, swallowing quickly to continue speaking. "I almost envy your peace and quiet. Some of the others really are noisy sleepers." She mewed.

Ryeheart nodded, not feeling particularly hungry himself at that moment. "Eating later will be more rewarding if we bring prey back for the Clan," he mewed thoughtfully. The dark tabby pushed himself to his paws as Longwhisker did and followed his fellow warrior towards the camp entrance. "We might run into the dawn patrol at some point," he pointed out, "but yes, perhaps it's for the best that we are going hunting. Where would you like to try first? We could go to the river, or perhaps to the farm?"
Twigpaw mewed a quiet thanks and pushed his head back into the stores. He quickly found the mint that Reedwhisker had mentioned and carefully extracted one of the leaves with his teeth. The sharp tang of the mint made quick work of the lingering taste of rotten burdock, much to his relief.

Mallownose
HollowClan camp with Juniperpaw Around Dawn
The she-cat stretched herself our just a little more as she lay there, closing her eyes and simply soaking up the rays and relaxing as much as she could. In all honesty, she could probably just go right back to sleep as she lay there and make up for the awful night she just had. At least here she wouldn't have her brother constantly kicking her flank with his stupid paws. Only when she heard movement next to her did she open her gaze again, watching Juniperpaw as he hopped up onto all four paws. "Alright, alright," she meowed, tongue curling in a yawn before slowly lifting herself off the ground, "I'm coming. You lead the way." She trusted the apprentice enough to know where she was going by now. And she wouldn't be far behind.
Swiftstrike
HollowClan Camp with Lionleap, Batpaw, Sharppaw Around Dawn
Swiftstrike could see that his apprentice was not happy about things and he did have to give her an almost apologetic look. He was not all too happy about having to go hunting, either and would much rather do some battle training. But he was supposed to be a good warrior and a good example for his apprentice and couldn't just do what he wanted. Not when he had already agreed to help Lionleap. So, when the younger warrior announced they were to leave, Swiftstrike hung back just a little, lowering his head to Sharppaw so he could mutter, "Maybe we'll ditch them early, what do you think, hmm?" He didn't think it would be all too hard to sneak away , but he didn't want to look like he was plotting anything, so quickly straightened up again as he leapt after the golden warrior just in time to hear her ask him his own opinion. "Yeah," he just meowed quickly, not really wanting to argue about it, "That sounds good to me."
Nightstar
HollowClan Camp with Reedwhisker Around Dawn
He was stoic and silent as he sat outside his den, claws digging into the earth under his paws and amber eyes silently watching the clan move around him. He didn't even move when Reedwhisker came padding over, not even when she dropped some herbs at his paws and told him to eat them. "I do not need your herbs," he told the medicine cat rather firmly, moving only to push them away from him with a paw, "There is nothing wrong with me." He was fine, he felt fine and didn't get why no one believed him. This was not the first time he had been given herbs and told to eat them for seemingly no reason. It was a conspiracy he was sure of it, they didn't believe in him anymore and wanted him to retire. Well, that was never going to happen. He might be old but he was more than capable to lead his Clan. "Now leave me be. I am sure there is some other cat who needs your attention."

Lavenderpaw let out an exasperated sigh. She felt a twinge of pain in her heart at the thought that her own mentor didn't even wait for her to come on patrol with them, but quickly shook it off. She didn't have time for feelings like that. Tapping a paw on the ground impatiently, she resumed her camp scan. She noticed Whitestreak and Poppyface; maybe the elder had something for her to do? She held her head high as she trotted over to the two of them. "Good morning, Whitestreak, Poppyface," she mewed, her voice peppered with confidence. She dipped her head respectfully to the both of them. She continued before either of them had a chance to say hello back. "I was just wondering. Do either of you have anything you'd like me to do? I think Foxfang ran off without me already. And I was so ready for patrol, too. Now I'm too awake to fall back asleep and I'm pretty bored."
