(ok!)
Judah frowned at Leon's reply. Something about her response didn't sit well with him. Yes, many felt the same way when it came to the class divide between specials and normals, but still, that wasn't a reason to be unemployed, and presumably homeless. But he couldn't pursue the matter right now, as Ramsey was waiting, an impatient look on his face.
Ramsey, hearing Leon's sly remark, seemed to deepen the frown on his face. He didn't appreciate humor or sarcasm. Especially not at his expense. But, since he knew his face said more than his mouth needed to, Ramsey simply moved on. Turning on the projector, the screen showed a copy of the information he had just received. It was a highly confidential map that they had commandeered from the government, that showed each disappearance of a special on the west coast. Each case was symbolized by a red dot placed in the location where each victim was last seen. And if he hovered over a particular dot, the details of the case appeared.
"As you can see, the government has been lying to us about the magnitude of the disappearances. According to them, there have only been a few dozen. But, this map reveals that the numbers are actually in the hundreds, which leads us to believe that this is an epidemic, as well as a calculated, coordinated series of kidnappings with some purpose or goal, which we have yet to figure out."

Once the crowd had dissipated, the mayor took the list of names and powers of all those who had signed up for his little competition, and read through it, narrowing it down to five contenders who struck him as those who might be good candidates. That night, he read the list of chosen contenders out to a reporter from the comfort of his own home, and had it broadcasted on the city's news station so those who had been picked would know to meet at the mayor's mansion the next morning.
The list included: Micah Leuks Chrystopher Chanrys Eleanor Prince Echo Strike Alex Russell

Zacharias walked over to the table quietly and complied with Ramsey's request to take a seat. The man seemed to have an aura of respect around him, one that tended to be revered. Zach himself didn't think much of the dude, but either way listened quietly and intently as Ramsey described the situation. A map appeared, and hundreds of red dots filled the screen, stretching from Washington to the southern tip of California. He sat there, mouth agape as the reality of the situation hit him. This wasn't the few concentrated cases that he had expected. This was something much more serious. Only a very large, very powerful organization could be behind this. Zacharias clenched his fist, his eyes flitting across the screen as he thought about it. Suddenly, he was very glad that he had decided to conceal his powers when they had first appeared two years ago. If he hadn't, it could have been very possible that he would've been lost in the sea of red dots that filled the screen now. Where's Michaye? He thought, scanning the map, secretly wishing that Ramsey would accidentally slide his cursor over her case. "Well, any ideas as to who it could be?" Zach asked. It was a stupid question, no doubt, but surely there was at least a list of suspect individuals or corporations.

Kassandra "Kassie" Hartman // 21 // Female // Special // Power: Cyrokinesis // Ice Cream Shop Owner // Kassie can be described as sweet, but with a tainted heart. She can be kind in most situations, but her slight attitude can get in the way. Her mood changes when she is near some people and sometimes can come off as cruel, but she tries her hardest to be kind to everyone. She's always been head-strong, which can lead her into some bad situations, but she isn't afraid to take the lead if no one is stepping up or corruption has taken a hold of others. // Kassie is around 5'9" and weighs about 135 lbs. She is in great shape, with pretty strong core, but don’t underestimate her because of her looks as she could kick anyone's butt , power or not. She has blue black hair with storm gray eyes. With Kassie, she is more of a comfortable clothes girl than extravagant clothes girl. She likes to wear hoodies, blue jeans with a few holes and some Converse shoes. Occasionally, Kassie will dress in a tee shirt, shorts with a flannel tied around her waist during the summer. She wears a precious necklace that holds an icicle that never melts. // Growing up, Kassie always found herself to be quite cold all the time and after she attended the academy, they determined that she had the power of ice, snow, or cold. She has tried to avoid working for the army as she didn't want to spend her life fighting. // Color // Flamestar96 Rylan Canisla // 22 // Male // Normal // Power: NONE // Bookstore worker, aspiring fictional writer // Kind, determined, caring, passionate about everything he does. Rylan is one person, who does not give up when the things get tough. He does get frustrated from time to time, but rarely does he let it go overboard. He is extremely humble, which sometimes can be taken advantage of, sadly. Rylan can be silent from time to time, keeping to himself, but once someone gets to know him he will lighten up a little more. Although he is very smart, he doesn't like showing it because he doesn't like hearing rumors about him being good looking, but extremely smart. He gets a little envious of specials, but he knows that they can't choose to be special.// Standing roughly, 6'3" and weighing about 195 lbs, Rylan is highly fit for an athlete of his size. He has short brown hair with medium-sized bangs slightly pointing upward from time to time. His eyes are a bright blue color. He has equal muscle mass throughout his entire body, but his legs are likely the most refined. Rylan has a medium-light skin color. Most of the time he can be seen wearing a zip-up hoodie with cargo shorts and black sneakers. During winter, he can normally be found in the same attire, but with jeans and a winter hat. // Rylan's parents were humble people even though they were among the normal class, but they always taught Rylan that just because he didn't have powers or abilities, he could still make it higher in life. // Color // Flamestar96

(They look great Flame! My only request for correction would be to ask if you would be ok with Kassie being a controller? That's an upper class special job that is given to anyone who has environmental related powers)

Yes, of course! I wouldn't mind it, I wasn't sure what her powers would fall under, but I knew I didn't want her being a part of anything army/military. Would she still be able to keep her ice cream shop job? I thought it would be a good starting point for now)
I'm still considering making two more characters, but I'll have to see if I can keep up with these two for now)

Echo Strike ~ * ~ * ~ Echo was jolted awake by the sound of screaming.
He bolted upright, looking for the source. Instead, he saw a pillow fly through the air, followed by a door slamming shut. Echo looked first to the door - the bathroom of his room - to the pillow's target. He heaved a sigh. "Shade. What the hell are you doing here at butt f uck o'clock in morning?"
"It's eight o'clock in the morning, actually," Shade replied casually. He picked up the pillow at his feet, walked across the room, and returned it to the chair it had it removed from. Then he turned back to Echo and gestured at the closed bathroom door with a jerk of his thumb over his shoulder. "I thought you done with redheads?"
Echo shrugged one shoulder. "This one was persistent. And besides, she's not a natural redhead."
Shade canted his head. "No? How did you figure that out?"
Echo chuckled. "You don't want to know." He shifted until he was sitting on the edge of the bed, then stood, oblivious to his lack of clothes. "But seriously," he said as he hunted down his pants. "What are you doing here? And how did you find me?"
Shade rolled his eyes when Echo stood up and pointedly looked elsewhere. "You don't want to know," he replied, throwing Echo's words back at him and making him snicker.
He pulled his pants up and buttoned them. "Don't want to know how you found me, or why you're here?"
After a pause, Shade answered, "Both."
Echo froze in the process and bending to grab his shirt. Straightening, shirt in hand, he frowned at Shade. "What did you do?"
"Me nothing? But someone did something. It just wasn't to me."
"Okaaaay." Echo shrugged his shirt on, but left it unbuttoned as he moved closer to his best friend. "What is it?"
Shade was quiet for several minutes; Echo waited patiently, hands in his pockets. Finally, Shade dropped the bomb. "Someone entered you in the mayor's competition. And you were chosen. You're supposed to be at his house in an hour to begin the contest."

Slowly, Kassie pushed in her key to the ice cream shop, 32 Below, the one that she had owned after buying it with her savings. Of course, what does one expect when they have the able to control ice, snow, and the cold? Originally, she wanted to do something with an ice rink, but that was way out of her budget even for her being a part of the upperclass. So, she settled for the second best thing, an ice cream shop. Although it took a couple months to get everything in order, she didn't really have to worry about whether she would have ice cream or not. Kassie also never had to panic if the shop ran out of power as she could truly make it '32 Below' in the small building.
She kept the sign on closed for about the first half hour of arriving as she had to check-up on the various aspects of the shop, such as putting up a new 'Hiring' sign. Kassie preferred someone like her, someone who had ice powers as well, but she wouldn't mind if someone would help out with cashier position. She quickly stuck the sign inside the large shop window before walking over and turning the 'CLOSED' sign to 'OPEN.'

Ramsey shook his head. “Besides us, there are no known groups or organizations capable of such mass kidnappings. But, after studying the cases and searching for patterns I have reason to believe that I may know their motive.” Shifting his weight as he folded his arms across his chest, Ramsey continued. “Almost all of the kidnapped specials have had powers that would be useful in a war. And, most of them have been on the younger side. But the most concerning thing we’ve discovered is this,” hovering the mouse over a dot located in southern Oregon. “Cerise Williamson. A sixteen year old Special with the ability to brainwash others. She was the first one to be kidnapped. We fear that whoever is behind this is using Cerise to control the others. And if that’s the case, then we may have an even more dangerous enemy than the government.

"An army..." Zach mumbled, tapping lightly on the table as he processed the information. His eyes scanned Cerise's open profile quickly, noting her age, abilities, confirmed last location, and general details. Sooo... what? We're looking at being the peacekeepers between this organization and the government? Whatever happened to 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend'? He reread her profile once, twice, a third time. Nothing seemed to click, yet their first line of action seemed pretty obvious to him - secure the location of a missing person in order to(hopefully) figure out who was behind all of this. If what Ramsey said was true, then the vast majority of the army was innocent. Not to mention the massive amounts of civilian casualties that they would likely endure. "What's the plan?" He asked finally, looking over to Ramsey. A large mission did not seem to be appropriate in this sort of situation. Rather, Zacharias was thinking of one, possibly two small reconnaissance missions. Whatever it may be, having a blown cover could very well mean death when considering the lengths that this unknown organization was going to.

Ugh... Why do I have to get up so early in the morning?
Rylan's hand rose to shut off the old, hand-me-down alarm clock with a push of a button. He pushed the blankets off himself and quickly got dressed in his clothes for work at the bookstore. Although his body ached from the early morning, he actually didn't mind where he worked. He got the chance to read a ton of books and help many other people figure out what they'd like to read as well. He didn't even mind the other girl who worked at the bookstore with him, but sometimes she was a little too rude to customers.
After a quick pastry breakfast, Rylan was on the move and out of his small apartment. He may be a normal, but that didn't discourage him from glancing and hoping that someday he'd be able to live in the nice houses that the specials got to live in. Almost out of instinct, he looked down at his wrist-watch and had to take off a run to make sure to beat the owner to the bookstore before they opened up.

Electra Emerys // 23 // Female // Special // Weather Manipulation // Controller of the city's climate // Electra is a spunky, trouble making woman whose blunt sence of humor and persona often makes others feel uncomfortable. She says what she is thinking, and doesn't care how it makes other people feel. She can be subject to serious mood swings, being perfectly calm and content in one moment, to easily angered and aggressive in another. // Electra has long yet thin silvery grey hair and startlingly pale skin. Her eyes are a stormy grey, always outlined by sleek black winged liner and thick mascara. Electra's style can be described as somewhat goth, as she exclusively wears ripped, distressed black clothing, paired with her signature black choker and heeled combat boots. Electra's body is covered in delicate black tattoos running down her arms and torso, and she has a septum piercing, as well as four to five piercings in each ear. Build wise, she is around 5'7" and has a slim, curveless figure, with long legs and a short torso. // Electra grew up in a orphanage until she was 13, and tested positive for being a Special. She never knew who her parents were, or why they gave her up, but those she went to the Academy with became her new family, so she is very attached and protective of her chosen few friends. // Other // 𝐸𝓁𝑜𝓆𝓊𝑒𝓃𝓉𝒟𝓇𝑒𝒶𝓂𝑒𝓇

(lmao I love them XD)
Rora hadn't gone out the night before, as she was too busy picking an outfit for the competition the next day. Five Specials were going to compete for the right to guard her? Well, her family more specifically. But still, the concept was intriguing. After much trying on, Rora chose to wear one of her more appealing--yet father approved--outfits, Rora put on a fitted white spaghetti strap dress that hugged her curves and had a slit that ran a little higher than halfway up her thigh. Pairing it with matching white heels that drastically extended her short figure, she added large pink earrings and pinned one side of her hair back. Satisfied with her attire, she smiled into the mirror before heading downstairs to where she would be watching the contest.

Less than 30 seconds after Kassie opened her shop, Electra strolled in, with her black messenger bag slung over one shoulder, and a blowpop in her other hand. "Hola Kass. How's it hanging?" she asked casually, before hopping up on the counter and swinging her legs around so they were dangling on the employee side of the counter. Letting her bag drop to behind the counter, Electra put one arm back to brace herself as she leaned on it and worked on her sucker. "Any luck finding workers?" She asked, knowing her friend was in serious need of some hired help.

Kassie shook her head with a smile, not even having to turn around to know who had walked through the door. "Hmmm... You're up early," Kassie replied. Almost out of routine, she grabbed a small towel and twirled it like a tornado before grabbing the other end. She smirked as she held it up and pointed it in at Electra. Although she loved having her bestie around, she went through the same thing everytime Electra walked into the shop. "Have I ever told you the phrase my grandpa taught me about counters?" She asked, knowing its about the million time she's told her this.

Echo Strike ~ * ~ * ~ Echo blinked. "I'm sorry. What?" Shade just arched one brow. Echo cursed. "Seriously? Who put my name in? And why the f uck did they pick me?"
"Don't know to the first, and to the second, they pulled up your school records. Apparently, your gym scores were high enough to qualify you. Plus... by going through the school, they know what your power is. And we both know your power could have been a straight shot into the army if you'd wanted it to be."
Echo muttered more curses. "But I didn't want it to be! Dude! Am I allowed to say no?"
Shade shook his head. "You could purposely lose, but -"
"Oh! Brilliant. I'll do that. Maybe then stupid heads will think twice before putting my name into -"
"But," Shade interrupted, "I don't think you should."
Echo frowned. "Why not?"
Shade shrugged. "Because you started a betting pool, remember? And guess who everyone's voting for?"
There was a pause; then Echo's brows shot up. "You've got to be kidding me. Me? They're all voting for me?"
"Yep. Apparently, you have a very big fan club in and out of the bedroom." Shade canted his head, smirking. "You don't want to disappoint them, do you?"
Echo hesitated. If they were all guys, Echo wouldn't give a damn about disappointing them, but Shade was insinuating that they were mostly, if not all, women, and them he didn't want to disappoint. He sighed. "Alright, fine. I won't purposely throw my chances. But I ain't giving my all, either."
Shade chuckled. "Echo, the only time you ever give your all is in - Wait, no, that's a lie. It's whenever you're alone - No, that's not completely true either. Whenever you're going at it with a woman. There. That's as accurate as I can get it."
Echo laughed. "You got me there." He shook his head, amused. Sometimes, the fact his best friend refused to tell a lie was absolutely hilarious. "Alright. Let's go kick some ass."
