- - - - - Leon Vulpecula She smiled again, turning to head upstairs. “Follow me,” she instructed, listening to him. She understood the feeling, she was reluctant to do missions at first too. She participated in acts of rebellion though. She left behind dust as Lyra too, clues for the rebels if they ever found her.
Maybe they found them after all. Regardless, she nodded. She felt bad for him, a missing sister. Most likely dead? But she didn’t dare say it, he wasn’t that cruel. She just felt extreme remorse for him. “What was her name?” She softly asked, she may have knew her. She started at the academy at 13, left just about a few months ago, there was a good chance Leon at least saw her once or twice.
Leon also had ways of finding more information for him if she had a name. But she wouldn’t admit that to him.
She softly uttered the password, when they reached the desired floor. As she walked into the room, she stared at Judah for a moment. Of course she recognized him. She did do things for the rebellion before, smaller things, Sure. But for some reason someone in the rebellion though she had some way of knowing something, probably due to her mysterious facade and past, and she was invited to this because of it. She didn’t say a word thought she didn’t dare.
She found erself still clutching that bag, anxiety of the truth eating at her.

Mostly because Le-own would be the León or Leôn route, and I don’t feel like writing out accents all the time, I do it enough in French XD.)

Zacharias quieted his footsteps as they walked past the guard. Every part of his being was on edge as they entered the small room. Two men, one of which he knew to be Ramsey, were already there. "Michaye," he said quietly in response to Leon's question. "Though you might've known her better by her... ability." He didn't want to say his next sentence, but there was a high chance that Leon would've at least heard rumours of his sister. He coughed slightly before struggling to get his next words out, "She could torture people. If that makes sense." Zacharias didn't want to elaborate on the subject. He tried to focus his attention to the two men on the other side of the room, but his thoughts wandered back constantly to Michaye. How he had always looked up to her. How he had always admired her refusal to be manipulated by the Academy. They hadn't liked that about her, though.

Spotting the first two people walk through the door, Judah smiled and strided towards them. "Hey! Glad to see y'all made it. I know it can be confusing finding different meeting spaces every time," he said with a laugh, as if they were all there for some sort of social gathering, as opposed to a highly secretive and illegal meeting. Letting his eyes scan Leon, he gave her a nod. They had met before, though he hadn't gotten to know her as well as he would have liked to. Yet, anyways. But when he turned his attention to the guy who accompanied her, he tilted his head. "I don't think we've met. I'm Judah," he said warmly, stretching out his hand.

- - - - - Leon Vulpecula Leon nodded, she seemed to freeze at the name, but truly froze at the powers. She continued onwards regardless, acting like she wasn’t bothered. “How long ago did she go missing?” She asked, keeping her gaze level. The power to torture was dangerous, of corse the government would go to great lengths to attempt to control her. Lyra herself could manipulate any object she got ahold of, usually into some kind of weapon, or falsify documents. It was dangerous too, but not as dangerous as his sisters. The government would kill, literally, to get their hands back on that weapon of a person.
Her eyes trained on Judah, raising an eyebrow, he seemed to be enjoying himself. She spotted a grin, nodding back to him. At least he recognized her. Her voice carried little warmth, little care, but some teasing nature, “Wow, it’s almost as if we could invite the mayor to this little meeting and make it out alive,” she noted, glancing over at Ramsey, “And how are you?” She questioned, directing her voice straight for him.

"It's been years, now," he said, "I'd be surprised if we looked into her case at all during this... investigation." Upon Judah's greeting, the young boy smiled and shook his outstretched hand, "Zach," he replied, silently noting to himself the color of Judah's hair. He looked around the room for a quick second before focusing back on the man in front of him. "I wouldn't really expect you to know me, this whole rebel thing is pretty new."

(I'm not gonna make separate replies for ramsey bc, well, I'm lazy. So he will just respond on Judahs post lol)
Laughing at Leon's comment, Judah shrugged, "I always joke that conversation is the power I was never diagnosed with," he joked, before giving Zach's hand a firm shake. "Great to meet you man! And don't worry about being new. We have a great group here. We're like a family," He added with a smile, before looking back at Ramsey, who had been ignoring the exchange up to this point. Until Leon had acknowledged him, that is.
Glancing up when he realized someone was adressing him, Ramsey shifted his icy blue eyes to the young girl who was speaking. "I've been better," he said simply, before returning his attention to the computer before him.
Lowering his voice, Judah leaned in closer to the other two. "Don't let him bother you. He acts like he could care less about us, but deep down, I know he cares. At least, that's what I like to tell myself," he said with a chuckle. Turning his head as he looked around the room, he frowned. "Well, there are supposed to be more people here...but I guess they're just running late. That's alright though. Just gives us more time to get to know each other. So, what is it the two of you do?"

; - Jovie / Luka
Baby's Breath and Petunias, she thought, Those should go well together. The young woman offered a simple nod after hearing his decision, showing no judgement to how inexperienced he sounded when it came to flowers. Many customers were more intrigued by the beauty of flowers, not of their history. Jovie supposed it was her job to know that part. Quickly and quietly she gathered enough flowers needed for the bouquet, trimming the ends as needed and picking off limp leaves of the stems, expertly arranging them together in a checked pattern. "You're very welcome, sir. I'm used to closing up late." She murmured, sending him a polite smile. Her hands were busy with tying a white string around the finished flowers, which she then transferred onto a brown packaging paper to wrap around them, finishing the product with an engraved shop ribbon that she knotted with a flourish.
"Here you are, sir," Jovie carefully exchanged the bouquet with the young man, hesitating before she continued, "That'll be thi-- . . . twenty dollars, please." Seeing how pleased he was with the product, she decided on giving him a slight discount for his trouble. "I hope your grandmother likes them." She added softly, a smile still laced on her lips. Luka watched with interest as the woman magically whipped together a bouquet within minutes. It was fascinating. Once she finished and handed them to him, he took the bouquet carefully and smiled as he inspected it. "It's perfect," he said, before hearing the price and fishing out his wallet from his pocket. Despite it only being twenty dollars, Luka wanted to make up for the fact that he had barged in so late, requesting a custom bouquet. So he handed her two twenties before returning her smile. "I know she will. Who wouldn't?" He said, before turning to leave. But just as he pushed open the door, he turned back around, "I'm Luka, by the way."

- - - - - Leon Vulpecula Leon felt herself smiling, despite her internal crisis. She had to appear alright, and she faked and lied about a lot of things, it really didn’t hurt to do it again. “Ah, the true missing special is none other than Judah Taylor, what a surprise.” She noted jokingly.
She ignored the rest of Judah and Zach’s interaction, she wasn’t keen on getting involved unless necessary. She nodded to Ramsey, she completely agreed.
She was better before this whole mess, when her powers were tiny and useless, just the ability to change colors of objects, something not even noticeable. That was, until she lost her temper at another person at the academy. They had the right to belittle her, for some reason. This was sometime after Zach’s sister went missing, she had caught on. While Leon never knew her that well, she did feel bad for her, and was agitated by the rumors she heard. Leon, rather Lyra, had told the person to gain some respect, that Mikaye could be dead for all they knew, and it wasn’t right to spread rumors.
She remember a punch or two hitting her, before she curled on the ground, crying. The girls had to be taken to be healed, apparently stabbed by some unknown object that Leon had created, but the object had returned to the simple pin it was before. She was deemed dangerous after that, forced to use a dangerous unstable power.
She shrugged, “Nothing much.” She whispered out, crossing her arms. At least it was true to an extent.

Zacharias opened his mouth and closed it, unsure of how to respond to Judah's question. Something about saying a heap of illegal activities didn't sit well with his ego. Upon hearing Leon's answer, Zach internally punched himself. He thought about repeating her once more, but decided against it. "Favors," he said finally, nodding, "One or two for you guys, actually." Zach thought back to one of the 'tasks' that he had done for the rebels. It consisted simply of delivering a small package discreetly across the city. At the time, Zach had been unaware of the package's connection to the rebels, which - now that he thought about it - was probably the main reason he had been given the opportunity. A simple delivery of an unknown substance accompanied by a week's worth of payment. What could go wrong with that, right? Again, Zacharias was a bit off-putted by Judah's happy, welcoming demeanor. For a highly illegal organization such as this, the people in it sure made it seem like they were saints. Something was off, and Zacharias couldn't pin it.

Echo Strike ~ * ~ * ~ Echo sat up after the mayor's announcement, eager to see which schmucks were going to take him up on the offer. The flow of would-be participants was slow and sporadic at first, as if no one wanted to be first. But once the first was determined, a flow of eager contestants started lining up to sign away their lives.
“That's a little extreme,” Shade comment dryly. He glanced at Echo, a touch of amusement in his eyes. “They're signing up for a job, not a war.”
“Everything is a war,” Echo replied. He stood up, adjusting the cuffs of his Armani jacket. He shot Shade a charming grin. “You just need to know how to fight it.”
Shade arched his brows. “Uh-huh. And where, pray tell, are you going?”
“I,” Echo replied around a smile, “am going to see how much money I can make off this silly venture of the mayor's.”
Shade sat forward and put his elbows on his knees. “If you want to make money, why don't you just sign up? The mayor mentioned a ‘handsome reward.’”
Echo paused and turned his own arched look on his friend. “You seriously think I'm cut out to be a bodyguard? I don't guard bodies - I pleasure bodies. There are too many temptations with a job like that - namely, the mayor's daughter.”
Shade shook his head. “Have you ever seen her before? What if she's ugly?”
“Beauty is only skin deep,” Echo replied promptly. That wasn't to say he wouldn't choose beauty over average if given the choice, but for the most part he wasn't too picky with his choices in women.
With a chuckle, Shade lifted his hands in defeat. “If you say so. Let me know how many people actually place bets.”
Echo saluted him and started off. “Will do. Later, buddy!”

(Poor Judah is just being his cheerful, happy self and these guys are like "whats wrong with him" XD)
As he listened to their answers, Judah chuckled, "Oh, I didn't mean what do you do for us. I meant, like, do you have jobs? I know Ramsey always sticks to his missions and nothing else, but I like to remind people that they do have lives outside of this," he said, gesturing with his hands to the room around them in reference to the rebellion. "After all, the best spies live lives so normal, that they would never, ever be suspected," he added with a wink. Average people like himself were always the last ones to be suspected when it came to illegal activities, and what not. Circling back to his original question, he could see the younger two were still quite uncomfortable, so he answered it himself. "I'm a waiter. I work at Jolak's downtown," he told them. He enjoyed working at the steakhouse, and earned a good amount of money on tips due to his pleasant, down to earth personality.

- - - - - Leon Vulpecula Leon glanced at Zach, nodding at him. But her attention turned back to Judah. She listened to his spiel, but her expression deadpanned.
“I don’t have a life,” she said, shrugging, “By your terms, I don’t really do stuff? I mean, I do. But it’s a bit complicated,” she finished. How did one translate that she used her experience from the academy to work towards discovering things on he own, and her powers were a lifesaver. But it wasn’t job, and it wasn’t legal.
Yeah, what a life.
She assumed that any questions they had about what was in the academy could easily be awnsered by her, but the justification would be a bit harder. “I guess I am a normal kid,” She backtracked a bit, no panic in her voice from her mess up, “An 18 year old who kind of lives her own life until she has to live it for someone else.” She finished simply, glancing at Zach to see his response to the question Judah had asked.

Zach pursed his lips, listening to Leon talk about her 'non-existent' life. His situation was incredibly similar - no job or anyone he was willing to fall back upon. Seeing Leon look at him expectantly, Zach cleared his throat, unsure of what to say. "Same," he said eventually, smiling at Judah. "Yeah, just a rebellious citizen and general ailment to a corrupt society." He watched Judah's reaction measuredly, hoping that his response wouldn't spark any disdain inside of him. Surely a rebel wouldn't care for such things. Right?

Judah simply stared back at them for a moment. "Alright...so neither of you have jobs? That will definitely need to be remedied," he said with a small laugh, before a thought entered his mind. "If you two don't have jobs, how do you support yourselves? Do you have a place to stay?" he asked, his eyes carrying the sincere concern he now felt as his big brother persona kicked in. He was about to offer that they were welcome to stay at his place, when Ramsey cleared his throat.
"If you're finished with the small talk, Judah, I would love to begin," the older man said cooly, his eyes narrowed as he studied the two that Judah had been talking to. Standing as still as a statue, he added, "Please take a seat." Ramsey didn't mess around, and sometimes Judah's tendency to get distracted with menial things like relationships got on his nerves.

Crystal hummed as she turned around in her chair and looked out at the horizon. She was getting bored and didn't feel like continuing with her job. She thought about going for a walk to clear her head or getting some coffee at that cafe that she loved. "Might just do that." She mutters as she rises to her feet. "Marvin!" Her personal assistant comes racing into her office and stands up straight. "Yes?" "I'll be going out for a bit. If anything is planned simply cancel it or tell the board to shove it." She answers as she turns out and closes her laptop. "Of course anything else?" Crystal shakes her head and makes her way past Marvin not bothering to look at him.

- - - - - Leon Vulpecula Leon found herself wincing slightly at Judah. “Sorry, but I don’t work for a reason, why should I work when I’m forced into a lower class for my lack of powers?” She muttered, that was a lie. But if she started working, and she messed up and revealed her powers due to stress, or openly used them around someone? She couldn’t take the chance with an actual job. So the lie rolled of her tongue easily, though it wasn’t a complete lie.
She smirked at Zach, he was, surprisingly, kind of like her, but her eyes widened slightly as she turned to Ramsey, a small grin on her face, “Ah, he finally speaks.” She alerted with a grin. Though she did as he said, sitting down and placing her chin on her hands, tipping her head. She went silent afterwards, waiting.
