Any confidence that Ryushi had right then left him when the vampire suddenly smacked the knife out of his hand, sending it clattering loudly onto the sidewalk. His breath caught in his throat as Larkin loomed over him, ready to attack with his fangs. The vampire was far too close for comfort, and Ryushi's fight-or-flight response kicked in once again. He brought his hands up and shoved the vampire away with all his might, backing away a few steps as he did so. Then he dived down onto the ground in a desperate attempt to reclaim the silver knife. When he saw the man moving to the knife he kicked it with all his strength which in turn made it go flying far down the alley, way too far to dive for. "I gave you a chance to leave pitiful human. You chose to ignore it now I shall make you a meal." He hissed before moving to grab the male and bite him on the neck, right where the jugular was pumping with red blood. This was going to be the best meal he had in ages, even decades heck even a century.

@angelfur
As Ryushi watched the knife fly far away from him, it became apparent very quickly that trying to fight was useless. His heart rate skyrocketed when the vampire was suddenly inches away from biting his neck, and he turned his head away to look for an escape. Down the alley seemed like the only way to go, so he had to try. The man pushed away from the vampire once again, and made a beeline for the escape, his heart pounding in his ears as he ran.

The male vampire hissed as his prey began escaping. "I thought I told you that you lost your chance you dreadful mortal!" He was furious as ever and it was apparent when using all his stamina remaining he managed to catch up and go for the tackle that would probably make the human's head hit the ground and knock him out and if that did happen then he would bite down on the neck of said mortal and drink his blood. Delicious blood that would finally sustain him more than any animal blood would.
(left it open for you to decide if his tackle and bite connect,)

Ryushi felt the breath knocked out of him as his body suddenly hit the ground. His head felt light and numb, and his vision was starting to blur. But even still, he threw up an arm to try and protect himself. "Why are you doing this?" he asked in a panic. "Why did you choose me?" He probably should have ran when he had the chance. But of course, he had to try and fight, and that had only angered the vampire.

He once again moved for the bite to the neck, maybe he should of stopped but he was not giving up his first real meal in a long time. If the bite did happen then pain would fill the other male's neck as his jugular is pierced and blood filling the vampire's mouth. It would be delicious to said vampire and perhaps torture to the human?
(did i mention Larkin wasn't going to give up?)

α΄α΄ΚΚα΄α΄α΄α΄Ιͺα΄ Christopher felt...awkward. Perhaps what he was expecting from the other boy was something along the lines of βthanks but youβre still a vampire, get away from me you disgusting monsterβ. But Finn didnβt say that; he gave honest thanks and...was actually giving him the benefit of the doubt. Which was nice. βItβs...no problem.β he muttered, matching Finnβs tone. If he had blood underneath his skin perhaps a blush would have appeared on his cheeks, but that wasnβt the case.
He gathered the medical supplies he had scattered around absentmindedly in the midst of his work and returned them to the kit. In a moment, the first-aid kit was back inside the glove box. He casually placed a hand on the steering wheel and leaned back in his seat.
βSo...what now? Will you let us go our separate ways?β

bullets Julian watched the customer as she spoke, nodding here and there at certain statements. He had to agree there wasnβt too much rock and roll around these parts; the locals were mostly into pop and the like. He wouldnβt have expected her to be into rock and roll, actually, he figured someone who looked like her would be more likely to listen to heavy metal or something like that.
He perked up at one thing she mentioned, about the sickly pale man. βOh, I see people like that all the time working here.β He tapped a finger on his chin as his gaze shifted away. βBut you know, I can never seem to recall much of what happens after I meet themβ¦hmm. I always forget.β Ahh, blissfully ignorant Julian.

β½Boopβ½ Finn turned his head to peer out of the car window, seeing only darkness, with a few lights from other buildings in the distance. There was no one else around. Which meant that it should be safe if Finn just walked home from here.
The werewolf turned to Christopher, his expression calculating. Now he had to decide: Should he let the vampire go? Or condemn him? If Finn remembered correctly, Chris hadn't actually tried to attack anyone. He may have been at a party full of mortals, but it was only to try and have a bit of fun. When he got hungry, he left. The only reason he attacked Finn was to try and preserve his true identity. And while Finn couldn't necessarily say he would do the same thing, he still felt like he could understand where Chris was coming from. Perhaps it was empathy.
And then this. The vampire had plenty of opportunities to attack again, yet he didn't. He actually helped Finn, in order to prove his sincerity. Finn supposed that it all checked out at this point.
"Yes...," he answered after a few moments, his tone slightly uneasy. "You weren't trying to hurt anyone. So I guess I can let you go." His hand reached for the door handle, but he hesitated. Could he really let this vampire go? What would the rest of his pack think?
Well...maybe they don't have to know. Finn thought as he gave Christopher one last look. Then, without a word, he turned and opened the car door, leaping out quickly and letting the door fall closed behind him. He jogged away from the vehicle, wincing slightly from his shoulder and general exhaustion. Soon he managed to cloak himself within the darkness, disappearing from the vampire's sight completely. He replayed their encounter over and over in his head the entire way home. (Do you want to end the scene here or make a reaction post first?)

It was a stretch, but since trying to stab the vampire had failed, perhaps bartering for his life would work? "Wait!" he said, throwing up his hands defensively. "If you spare me, I could help you." Whether that was true or not could be debated, but if it would buy Ryushi some time, then he was willing to give this idea a try.

"First off I need blood so if you wouldn't mind letting me just bite a tiny bit, I promise not to kill you then I would consider your offer to help me. What do you say?" Sure the human was most likely just trying to save himself the pain but for Larkin to even consider the offer, well payment was needed and the payment he wanted the most was blood. Human blood. Maybe if this worked out the partnership could end well?

α΄α΄ΚΚα΄α΄α΄α΄Ιͺα΄(Hmmm I think I'll just do one little drabble, just to wrap this scene up in a neat little bow ) Christopher just watched in silence as the werewolf opened his car door and jogged away into the night. He sighed, his hand falling from the steering wheel into his lap. Well, that's over. What a strange encounter that was. He certainly hadn't expected to meet a werewolf at that random college kids' party, even less to end up running for his life, fighting, and then...patching him up? Well, he supposed it must be a miracle that he was still alive, if you could even consider him that.
...Or was it? Now that he had the chance to sit and think about the whole thing, it became apparent that...maybe that werewolf didn't really want to fight him after all. He did let him go, and gave him a chance to prove he wasn't a monster. Well, that's subjective. he thought grimly.
But now that boy knew what he was, something that was supposed to be a closely-guarded secret. Until tonight, only Brooke knew. And of course, her. It was a shame, really. Had the scenario not gone out of hand, he thought that maybe he would have liked to be friends. But there was no way they could be friendly now. They were technically enemies, and even if Finn didn't attack him he'd still probably avoid him from this point on.
And the burning in his throat persisted even still. He cursed under his breath, started the car, and dialed a familiar number into his phone.
"Hey, Brooke. Uhh, you're not gonna like this, but...I need your help."
It was a long night after that.

β½Boopβ½ (Aaand scene. Time for the next chapter of their story~) Two days passed, and not once had Finn stopped thinking about that encounter with Christopher. He felt many mixed emotions over that one significant night: Confusion, anxiety, guilt...and one more that he couldn't quite place. It plagued his mind, day in and day out. Which is why he was currently in the library, doing what was probably one of the stupidest things he had ever thought of.
He was stalking a vampire.
Finn sat at one of the reading tables, holding a book open so that it was standing upright on the polished wood. He had his head mostly hidden behind the pages, every now and then peering over the rim of the bound cover like a prairie dog, glancing around the room for a moment before ducking his head back behind the book. The werewolf told himself that he was only here for some quality reading time (the fact that his book was currently standing upside-down would contradict that, however), yet his spearmint eyes only scanned the surroundings for one thing.
Were his actions fueled by suspicion? Maybe. Curiosity? Absolutely. But whether those were his only reasons, Finn wasn't quite sure.
@angelfur It seemed that the vampire wasn't exactly willing to comply with Ryushi, at least not one-hundred percent. But Ryushi couldn't really let the vampire bite him, now could he? There had to be some way out of this situation. Taking a deep breath, the man looked up at the vampire and summoned as much courage as he could. "You don't have to bite me," he breathed, clearly nervous. "Because I can give you a better deal. I can go and get you more blood. So you don't need mine."

α΄α΄ΚΚα΄α΄α΄α΄Ιͺα΄ (hoooo booyy I am exciteddd~) Christopher closed the door of the break room behind him and casually strolled back to the check-out desk, hands in his jacket pockets like usual. He didnβt need breaks, of course; he didnβt have to go to the bathroom, or drink water, or eat lunch. But he took at least one per day anyway, just to keep up appearances. Of course, rumors surrounded him anyway, but he would still rather avoid conversations about why he never rested, ate, or drank. After all, he certainly didnβt seem the type to be a workaholic.
His eyes were their normal brilliant green today, as he had that little problem from the other night taken care of. He didnβt want to think about what he did; he wasnβt proud of it. Brooke didnβt have any more blood packets for him yet; the idea was that he wasnβt supposed to wait so long before drinking the one he had. That, along with the stress and stimulation of being around the mortals and a bleeding werewolf, rendered the blood packet unable to fully quench his thirst.
The werewolf. Finn crossed his mind from time to time, in the two days after the incident. Sure part of it was because there was someone out there -an enemy- who knew his true identity, and that worried him a little, but he also couldnβt deny that he was still a little upset about how things went between them. Finn wasnβt a bad person he was sure, but he was a werewolf, and he didnβt take too kindly to Christopherβs status as a thirsty vampire. The encounter was embarrassing, certainly, especially since Chris couldnβt help but think that boy was cute. Ah, but that was completely ridiculous, wasnβt it? What was he going to get out of thinking like that? And yet, despite the long life left ahead of him, there were some mortal tendencies still not quite yet abandoned by the vampire. Namely, thinking about attractive people.
But enough of that. Chris reached the check-out desk and quietly murmured to the part-time coworker sitting behind it, relieving her of her shift. She thanked him, grabbed her things, and scurried away with an only slightly unnatural haste. Bah, Chris was used to it. He took her place, but decided to stand instead. Being undead gave one plenty of stamina, oddly enough.
It was then that he caught an unexpected scent. Somehow, and he thought maybe his head must be playing tricks on him, but he could swear he caught a familiar whiff of dog. His sharp gaze scanned the room, finally landing on one of the reading tables, where someone was sitting with a book in front of their face. The only reason he noticed was because he could clearly see, even from here, that the book was upside down. Chris certainly didnβt know anyone that made a habit of reading like that, so he grew suspicious. He hoped that customer wasnβt doing anything dubious; if something happened to any one of these precious books, that person would have hell to pay. And not just because Chris was responsible for them.
Assuming that the dog smell was his imagination, and resolving to keep an eye on that upside down book, Christopher decided to just get back to his job. He pulled out the box of book returns and began to sort them based on which section of the library they belonged.(*checks time* ASKDJSDJS WTF it took me an hour to write this??? I HAVE TO MAKE DINNER)

α΄α΄Κ βΎβ§ The sun was casting a reddish glow over the city, dipping Bleakridge in a hue of blood-red paint as the sun sank behind the distant mountains. The sound of boots clicking against the sidewalk was audible in this dying part of town, lonesome and ominous.
Catherine secured the gloves over her hands and fixed her trench coat, all while balancing the handle of an open umbrella between her neck and shoulder. The scene would probably appear strange to other mortals, but as Catherine was currently outside of her element, it was necessary to protect her skin. A slight smile danced over her features as she looked up at the setting sun. It wouldn't be long before the night came, and she would be cloaked in her own element once more. This would make what she was about to do much easier.
Passing cars were decreasing in numbers, and the ramble of the city was beginning to quiet. The woman garbed in black couldn't help but wonder what she might encounter tonight. Whatever it was, she wouldn't be afraid.
