α΄α΄Κ βΎβ§ (asdkasdsj OOF I'm sorry this took FOUR WHOLE DAYS that's like a month in forum time. Between sinuses and other things I just didn't feel like writing or using my brain but we good now) Spencer's growling stopped for half a second, surprised by the man's actions. Did he just touch her? Was he crazy? Stupid? Both? Wasn't he just afraid of her? If so, why would he reach out and brush his fingers on her fur like that? Was he asking to die? As much as Spencer would love to oblige, she wasn't a murderer obviously. So instead of ripping him to shreds like the aggressive part of her mind unhelpfully suggested, she just started yelling at him angrily.
Which, of course, came out in a series of loud obnoxious barks. (Wondering how to turn her back into human-form so they can have some proper dialogue...hmmm)

It's all good. xD What if the moon disappeared? Like, behind cloud cover or something? In some movies, that's enough to return werewolves to human form, if only temporarily.

( No worries, Patience. Take your time. ^^ )
β½Boopβ½ Ren blinked once, slowly, at her reaction. It certainly wasn't expected, yet... Wasn't it? She was a werewolf; there was a human girl dwelling beneath that wolf's pelt, a girl he had already guessed was aware and in control. He had worried she'd lose her temper when he touched her, not control of the wolf.
And the angry barks she was now directing at him sure sounded like a temper. Oh, how he wished he could speak wolf. He could just imagine the words she was trying to shout at him. It made him want to laugh. Despite his best efforts to maintain a wary, if not downright fearful, human persona... He couldn't keep the laugh from filling the air between them. His eyes danced with it, even as he covered his mouth with the back of his hand in an attempt to smother the chuckles.
Probably not the smartest reaction while staring death in the face, but that was Renegade for you.

α΄α΄Κ βΎβ§ Eventually Spencer realized a new sound had mingled in the air with her barking, and she grew quieter until her rampage had stopped. This guy was...laughing? At a giant wolf? After he had the audacity to touch her?
Okay. Something wasnβt right, here.
First, the guy had smelled really strange, nothing like Spencer had ever witnessed before. That, along with everything that had just happened, puzzled her as to what he was. He certainly wasnβt some normal human, that much was obvious to her at this point. Could he be...a fellow werewolf? That would explain some of his behavior...maybe. But that smell...Zack was the only other werewolf she knew, sure, but he didnβt smell anything like this guy in front of her. He had to be something totally different. But Spencer didnβt know what.
In that moment, something unexpected happened. Her body suddenly became encased in light, and with a flash, her very human butt plopped down on the grass, legs outstretched and knees bent in her field of vision. Iβm human again, but...why?! Itβs the full moon! Her gaze darted towards the sky, to the moon visible between the tree-tops. A large cloud had passed over it, obscuring the round shape. Itβs light was still barely visible through the mistiness. Is that why? How the hell is that even possible?!
The confusion of the entire situation was so frustrating. And to make matters worse, the weird guy was right in front of her! He just had a front-row seat to her transformation, and now he had to realize she was a werewolf. She wasnβt sure how to react to all of this, honestly. The only way she knew how was through irritation, so thatβs what she displayed.
She scowled, glaring at him with her eyebrows furrowed. βWhat the hell, dude?β (probably not the most accurate reaction to having your secret revealed to a complete stranger, but it be like that)

β½Boopβ½ LMAO. I say it's a pretty great reaction, actually. xD
Ren's laughter only faded fully when that bright flash temporarily blinded his sensitive eyes. He shut them tight against it and turned his face away. He knew what the flash meant, had seen it happen countless times before, but never during a full moon. As he contemplated the reasons behind her sudden shift, he opened his eyes and turned to look down - way down - at her.
She was pretty, for a mortal, though her hairstyle choice kind of made him want to laugh again. The pigtails made her look much younger than she probably was. Or maybe that was just his many years talking, years he'd stopped bothering to count long ago. The colour of her hair was interesting, though. He couldn't tell, even with his heightened sight, if it was dark blonde or light brown, or some combination of both. And her eyes... those were the wolf's eyes, glaring up at him from a human face. He still thought they were beautiful and alluring.
His gaze had just dropped to her lips - the next stop of his perusal - when those lips parted and she spoke. The words made him blink, the tone set his brows rising toward his hairline, and the combination of both had his own lips twitching into a crooked smile. "Not the most... eloquent first words I've had directed at me, but not the worst either," he mused, head angling to the side as he held her gaze. "And I'm afraid you're going to have to be a bit more specific. What, exactly, are you questioning me about, sweetheart?"

"You just-!" Her voice cut off as she struggled to get the words out, but her manicured finger was already pointing up at him. "And I-" She pointed at herself. "You..."
She sprang to her feet and huffed, dusting herself off. Then she looked up and glared at the man, especially at that damned smile. Didn't matter if it was kind of cute, it annoyed her. "What is wrong with you?! You're really weird, you know!" she fussed, her hands balling into fists. "Did you just try to pet me? Who does that?! And why the hell are you just standing there all giggly like this-" She waved her hands gesturing towards her body. "-is perfectly normal? And, and..." She stopped for just a second as she tried to find her next words. "What kind of weird obscure cologne are you wearing to have that unholy smell? I hate it!" Iskender was still in his police uniform as he walking back to his apartment, looking exhausted with bags under his eyes like he normally did after a long shift. He dragged his feet a little as he walked, rubbing one eye and just hoping to make it home and fall into bed. He pulled on the regular jacket he carried when the cold wind picked up, covering the shirt of his uniform. He passed many people in the relatively busy part of town without really noticing them.

β½Boopβ½Gods damn, I hate it when that happens. >.<
Ren watched her struggle to speak in full sentences, doing everything in his power not to laugh again. It was almost cute, her temper tantrum. He could think of a hundred things to say or do that would set her on another tangent, but he refrained. Barely. Instead, he put his hands in his pockets and rocked back on his heels, eyebrows raised and lips curled in an indolent half-smile.
Then he started answering her questions. Every. Single. One. Because why be simple when you can be complicated? βNothing. I know. No, I did pet you. I doβ¦ obviously. Because it kind of isβ¦? And it's 1 million, if you must know. So glad to hear your opinion on it.β He knew that wasn't the scent she was talking about, but he was wearing it. It had just faded from the day's activities, and clearly, with her sensitive nose, it was mostly buried by his natural scent. His vampire scent. But since he valued his life, he kept that little facto to himself for the time being.

Morior (Here! Decided to throw in my vampire Brooke) Brooke continued walking briskly down the sidewalk, her mind set on getting back to her apartment. Being a vampire, she didnβt have a bedtime, so she was already thinking about ways to go out and have a little fun tonight. But first, home. As she walked, she noticed a man a bit ahead, his back facing her. He stood out to her because of his dark braided hair. Hmm. Quite nice. she thought as she drew closer. When her brisk steps took her past him, she said over her shoulder βGood evening.β It was habit.

Just a little. βOkayβ¦β she drawled in a suspicious tone, the gears in her mind whirring as she dissected all of his statements. Never mind his gross cologne; apparently coming across a werewolf was a perfectly normal occasion to him! Which made absolutely no sense.
She crossed her arms. βSo what, are you a werewolf too, then? Why didnβt you change? You know, on the full moon?β

β½Boopβ½Glad to hear it. xD
Ren was tempted to act shocked at her mention of werewolves, if only to watch her panic, thinking sheβd exposed her secret. But deception wasnβt really his thing, though heβd done a surprisingly good job acting like a frightened human, even if it only lasted a couple minutes. It had gotten him what he came here for, so he deemed it a success. But in this case, honesty seemed like the best policy.
He chuckled softly. βNo, Iβm not a werewolf. I am a fan, though. Wolves are magnificent creatures; werewolves are extraordinary ones.β

β½Boopβ½Iskender looked up, surprised anyone would greet him walking by. "Good evening." He replied after short hesitation, hoping she still heard him as she walked faster past him. He picked up his slow, exhausted pace a little and straightened up. He watched and looked over her, not seeing her face anymore as she had her back to him, and he wondered if she was someone he knew but couldn't recognize anything about her.

α΄α΄Κ βΎβ§ Spencer scrunched her nose in disapproval. If he wasnβt a werewolf, why did he know about them? Who even was this guy anyway? Spencer had certainly never seen him in these woods before, or anywhere really. βOkay well first of all, werewolves are not that great. Trust me, I would know.β Her body shifted as she said this, one hand placed on her hip which swung in the other direction, and the other lifting to point at herself. βNot sure why some regular guy, albeit a weird one, would be a βfanβ, but okay.β As her temper subsided, the sass started to make its debut. It was her...subtle way of probing, of asking why he would be interested in her kind if he wasnβt one of them.
For a second, she scrutinized him. He kinda seemed like a normal guy around her age, with his hair worn in golden waves and his normal-people clothing. And yet, something was very off about him. βWho are you, anyway?β she asked with an accusatory tone. βI mean, people who are sane donβt stand all alone in the woods late at night.β Morior Brooke took a few extra steps forward, hands tucked in the pockets of her lab coat billowing out behind her. But when she heard the response from the passersby, she paused in her walking. She didnβt really know what is was that stopped her, but she found herself turning around to glance at the man nonetheless. A small glimpse of the uniform underneath his jacket indicated that he wasβ¦ βOh, an officer.β she said out loud, a friendly smile gracing her lips. It was ironic in a way, or perhaps a sign, since she happened to be planning to break a few laws tonight. Not that she would ever indicate it to this stranger.
A hand emerged from her coat pocket and she seemed to half-wave, half-salute, her fingers flicking outward in a greeting gesture. She too was a public servant after all, though with a different career-choice. βItβs nice to meet you, sir.β

"Mhmm... off duty." Iskender said when she noticed his uniform. "Just going home." He added, catching up with her after she paused. Morior Now Brooke had fully turned, facing the officer as he had her full attention. βDoctor.β she said simply, with a blink of her blue eyes and a small smirk. βI work at the hospital.β She jerked her head slightly, towards the direction from which she had come. βJust going home for the day.β Right. She was, but after that...well, that was a secret.
βWell, Iβll be on my way now.β she said with finality, and she whipped around to once again face the direction she had been walking. She set forward with a bustling pace, but what she didnβt notice was that she had left something behind. A card, one that she would use to get into the staffβs entrance of the hospital, lay face down on the sidewalk, abandoned. Ignorant of this, she just kept going.

Morior Brooke was surprised to hear the officerβs voice again. Was there something he wanted from her? Ah- sheβd dropped something. βDid I? Well thank you for letting me kn-β As she turned to face him again something stopped her abruptly. The manβs scent hit her like a brick wall, and her gaze grew wide with the sudden realization. When did I become so thirsty? she thought, a hint of panic entering her mind. Her throat had suddenly felt very dry, and she knew she would need to get away from mortals soon, for their sake as well as her own. She clasped a hand over her mouth and nose, and waited almost impatiently for the officer to catch up to her. (Making the plot up as I go along, lol. If there's something you wanna do it's cool)

(I've got no plots as of yet)
Iskender caught up by jogging a short ways, not out of breath but it didn't help with how exhausted he already felt. "Some kind of key card." He wiped it off again with his jacket and held it out for her. He looked at her a little confused why she had her hand over her mouth. "Something wrong?" He asked, tilting his head to the side.

Morior Brooke reached her other hand out and accepted the card from the officer. βOh itβs...nothing.β she assured, removing the hand from her face to try and appear less suspicious. Her eyebrows were quirked in a worried expression, but she soon wiped that look off her face as well, replacing it with a forced smile. She slipped the card into her pocket, more securely this time. βThank you for bringing this back to me. "You seemed worried about something, I could walk with you if it would help, since we're going the same direction." Iskender offered politely, tucking his hands into the pockets of his jacket. He didn't walk after her when she turned, standing on the sidewalk and seeing if she would take his offer. It was something he encountered now and again on the job, especially as it was getting dark, sometimes there were women who felt safer walking with an officer. But he would back off completely and find another route if she said no.

βIβ¦β Brooke could tell the man was just trying to be helpful. What kind of officer would he be if he didnβt try to make the public feel safe? And itβd feel wrong to brush him off, especially since he just did something nice for her. So she swallowed her nerves, pushed away her growing nausea, and glanced at him. βThat would be much appreciated, thank you.β There was no way she could tell him what was bothering her, as heβd probably try to kill her on the spot if he knew that she was actually a bloodthirsty vampire trying very hard not to sink her fangs into his flesh.
This was going to be a pleasant walk, certainly.

Alexander smiled politely when she accepted and started to walk with her. "It's no trouble. It's a nice evening, just a little cool out. You must work long hours at the hospital." He said, thinking up how to start a conversation, it usually worked to keep people's minds busy from whatever they were bothered by. He could almost sense the nervousness from her like she could sense the blood in his veins, but he didn't pry.

Morior (βlike she could sense the blood in his veinsβ aksfjskfdf) Brooke forced herself to go at a casual stroll, so that her trepidation would not be as obvious as it was. Though of course, she would much rather bolt out of there so she could come up with a calculated plan to feed, but it was best not to raise too much suspension from this officer. She nodded at him in agreement. βI do. Today in particular has been rather stressful.β Instead of elaborating, she directed the conversation towards him. βYou as well, I assume? With police work?β

Iskender matched her pace. "We had quite a few accidents today, you must've gotten those patients in the ER. Otherwise the rest was just long hours of paperwork. Not so much stressful as it is tedious." Iskender replied. He didn't seem to want to talk about his job very much. Potentially fortunate for Brooke, he wasn't carrying any weapons with him, at least none that she could see.

Morior Brooke thought back to the events of her workday. True, there was an abnormal amount of patients admitted to the ER. βYouβre right.β she sighed, her breath exhaling in a heavy huff. βWith so many knew patients, it was busy-busy-busy. I didnβt have time t-β She cut herself off, before something particularly damning came out. I didnβt have time to swipe those blood packets.
One for her and one for Chris, that was the plan; especially since Chris had recently called her, having gotten into some trouble involving a mortal Halloween party, a werewolf, and unexpected thirst. She wasnβt able to help him that night, so her only option was to direct him to a lonely resident who frequently left their door unlockedβ¦ It was shameful really, they both thought so, but it had to be done. Such was the life of vampires.
She glanced at the officer walking with her, eyes wide. What had gotten into her? She was usually much more composed than this...but she supposed the mortalβs scent so close-by was affecting her. She wasnβt sure how long sheβd be able to hold off from attacking him. She shook her head, dismissing her last fragmented sentence. βWell, anyway. At least itβs over now, right? Time to go home and wash the dayβs troubles away, yes?β She tried to keep her tone light-hearted.

β½Boopβ½"I didn't have enough time for some breaks either." Iskender thought that's what she meant when she cut off her sentence. He stayed quiet during her long pause but he took notice of it.
