"Mmm, mmm, bum, bum." Danielle hummed to herself along with the music as she paused, taking her hand away from the drawing, tilting her head to check the shading she'd just finished. She was mildly aware that someone was running past but she made no effort too look away from her work to check who, or what they were doing exactly.
"Shit." The word cut into her concentration, even over the sound of the music. She furrowed her brow in annoyance and finally looked up to see that who ever had been running past had fallen. The vampire set the sketch pad aside and moved onto her hands and knees, removing her ear buds in the process. Concern for the stranger was clear on her features as she looked over him. "Are you alright?" The vampire asked, the slight English accent that she'd refused to get rid of in her long life danced along with her words. She didn't move closer, wanting to stay under the shade tree, but he had her full attention. The light breeze was blowing away from her, taking his scent with it, a good thing probably. Danielle was full, her eyes the deep blue to prove it, but sometimes it was still hard to resist the taste of blood. If he had some how managed to hurt himself enough to bleed, she didn't want to know.

α΄α΄Κ βΎβ§ "Hm." Was the only noise the vampire made as she tugged nonchalantly at one of her gloves, her lip poking out in a seemingly bored expression. The amused sparkle had left her blue eyes. Toying with a werewolf wasn't really fun when they didn't bite back. Why had she decided to bother him again? Maybe it was for the thrill. The immortality of her existence made daily life quite monotonous. Though deep inside, she knew it was stupid to try and rile a werewolf. So then, what was her reasoning?
Maybe she was just lonely. The thought almost made her laugh in denial.
"Suppose you can guess what I'm doing tonight," Catherine sighed. "It would be easy to assume." she looked back up at the werewolf and smiled, a somewhat genuine tug of her lips that managed to reach her eyes and was a bit uncharacteristic. "But assumptions can be wrong."

Haru stretched his sore arms as he began his daily walk out in the streets, enjoying the cool air that hits his half-covered face. When it comes to moments like this, he tries to savor it as much as he can, especially if he has to be cooped up in his house for a while. As he kept walking, he couldn't help but keep sniffing that crisp air around him and enjoy the taste of faint firewood. It was amazing to the point where his stomach immediately growled.
Right. That was a thing. Haru sighed and soon enough his relaxing day became torture, why did he forget to have something before he began his walk. It's days like this small where he is starting to believe that he is becoming, dare he thinks it, 'old.' Maybe a quick bite from an animal can help quench the hunger for a bit, he decided and head on his way to look for a small rodent. Brooke continued on her way down the street, trying to let the calmness of the scene wash away the events of the day. She could already feel her mood improving the more distance she put between herself and the hospital. Maybe I'll go for a ride tonight, she thought, a small smile appearing on her face. Her motorcycle was still parked at her apartment. She imagined the feeling of the wind whipping her hair once again, the thrill of speed. Yeah, she couldn't wait.
She almost didn't notice another person walking in the direction opposite her. He appeared to be a young man, dressed casually (?) As she passed by him, she greeted "Good evening", as was habit when you were a doctor that needed to keep a friendly reputation. Not that it was difficult to maintain or anything; she rather liked this town.

β½Boopβ½ Finn looked to where Christopher was pointing at the reading table, but made no move to sit there. He glanced at their surroundings, noticing that there weren't any witnesses here, but the quiet footsteps of people could be heard from other parts of the library. It just wouldn't do, someone could come anytime and overhear them.
"Not here," said Finn, turning back to the vampire. "It's too quiet. Humans could be listening." He quickly pilfered through places in his mind on where they could safely go. It couldn't be anywhere outside, or Chris would get burned. Plus, the vampire worked here. He couldn't just leave. Maybe this was the only viable option after all. "Well, as long as we don't talk loudly..." he reluctantly sat down in one of the chairs, and waited for Chris to do the same.

α΄α΄ΚΚα΄α΄α΄α΄Ιͺα΄ Christopher blinked as he watched Finn seemingly go through a thought process, and abruptly change his mind. He pulled out a chair on the other side of the table and sat down, across from the werewolf. "Here should be fine." he assured Finn, his voice taking on a quiet softness. It was befitting the setting really; they were in a library after all. "It's a slow day. As long as we're quiet and attentive, no one should overhear us." He leaned back, his spine resting on the splat. He had an air of someone who was comfortable in their own territory, though his mind still buzzed with mingled curiosity and suspicion over what questions Finn would have for him. He wasn't exactly used to being interviewed. "So, what's on your mind?"

Nightwisher "Ugh." Daniel slowly lifted himself from lying on the asphalt, and though his skin felt numb from the chill, he could still feel a sort of epidermal pain on his arms, face, and knees. At least he had managed to protect his head for the most part. He pulled himself to a sitting position and examined his arms. The skin was pink and puffy with scrapes, and blood slowly oozed from the minor cuts. His knees and face hurt as well, but since his forearms managed to catch most of the fall, he wasn't too concerned.
What Daniel was concerned about, however, was the fact that someone was speaking to him. He turned his head in the direction of the voice, realizing it was the girl sitting under the tree. The source of his distraction. Great, she probably witnessed everything. Daniel's face began to heat up at the realization. He didn't think much about the fact that she seemed concerned, and failed to notice her accent right away. "Wh-what are you looking at?" he snapped in her direction, like an angry dog barking at a stranger.

β½Boopβ½Haru continued down as his hunger began to pain him, yeah it was definitely a smart idea to eat before leaving. He pulled his hood down a little bit over his eyes, trying hard for people not to notice the color. As he passed by a few people - looking hard for a rat or maybe a bird can land down - a greeting was thrown at him, causing him to jump. "Evening," he responded in a quick, uneasy tone. First time out in the streets that someone said anything to him, but that doesn't matter right now, all that matters is finding food and quick. Before any human notices, or worse.

Danielle's concern lessened a bit as the young man started to move, recovering from the fall quick enough that he most likely hadn't hit his head. Good, that meant he'd just have a couple scrapes. Also, not good, because that most likely meant he'd be bleeding. Sure enough, small beads of blood were forming at the opening of the cuts and Danielle had to hold her breath to make sure she didn't smell it. You're not thirsty, you just fed last night. It's okay. She reminded herself, trying to talk herself into control. She had survived long enough to have a decent amount of control, but that didn't stop the frenzy when there was blood.
When the boy, about eighteen or so she assumed, finally turned his attention on her, he looked embarrassed and defensive. She couldn't really blame him. However, she wasn't amused by his fall, merely concerned. The amusement came when he spoke, demanding what she was looking at. Danielle sat back on her calves, a sign that she wasn't going to come any closer and was even willing to actively remove herself from the situation, go back to her drawings. "You," she responded simply. "Are you alright?" The vampire repeated. "I didn't see what happened, but it didn't sound great." Danielle wrinkled her nose at the thought of the fall, the curse word he'd so rudely shouted out. Really, she didn't mind cursing, but the fact that it had cut into her concentration had been a bit annoying. She couldn't blame him though, if she had tripped, she probably would have done the same.

β½Boopβ½ (these posts lately have been so bad and I'm sorry ;-; ) Finn took in a deep breath as the vampire sat down across from him. His fingers drummed restlessly against the wooden table, and every now and then they would stop, intertwine with the fingers from his other hand, and then pull apart to resume drumming. It was an obvious sign of nervousness, and perhaps uncertainty. But the werewolf's curiosity gave him the motivation to begin the interview.
"Okay," Finn exhaled, the tension slowly being released through his sigh. "Um, the first thing I want to ask you is..." He leaned forward slightly, and his already soft voice dropped to almost a whisper. "Well, I think there's one thing we should clear up. Have you or have you not bitten a human before?" He then pointed to his shoulder. "Besides me, that is." Biting a werewolf probably didn't count.

β½Boopβ½ Renegade did indeed hold himself perfectly still as the she-wolf came right up to him and sniffed, but it was not fear that kept him immobile. Oh no. He had quite honestly forgotten about his fearful disguise entirely. She was right there. Right there, well within touching distance. And it took every ounce of willpower to keep from doing just that.
A good thing, too, for she barked at him. Actually barked at him. He blinked, not really sure what to do with that. She didnβt seem sure what to do next either, and actually looked startled by her own bark. More startled than he was, at least.
Whichβ¦ was bad, he remembered. He was supposed to be a poor human, terrified of this giant wolf before him. And instead of shying away from her, from the teeth sheβd flashed with that bark, he was just standing there staring at her, surprised and a bit awed. Shit.
Luckily, he was good at improvising. βWhat,β he breathed, adding a tremble to his voice that could have been taken as fear or awe, βare you?β For even a human would know by now that she was no ordinary wolf, with or without the large size. α΄α΄ΚΚα΄α΄α΄α΄Ιͺα΄ Blaze slowly shook his head. βYou misunderstand me. I wasnβt assuming anyβ¦ one was your destination.β He took a big step back and nodded down the street in the direction heβd come, though his gaze never left her face. βI figured you were heading to the new restaurant that just opened up. I hear the food is to die for.β His eyes sparkled with amusement and challenge, though he didnβt allow any expression on his face beyond that.

Nightwisher "Oh." Daniel stared at the girl with a strange and conflicted look on his face. She wasn't laughing, so there was no need to be defensive. It was his knee-jerk reaction to act that way, and because of that he now felt worse. "I'm fine...just fell, that's all. Thanks?" The last word rose in pitch as a question, and his general demeanor was still slightly defensive.
He looked down at his arms again, and another curse sighed from his lips. He supposed he would have to take care of these scrapes soon, which was...inconvenient. How had he managed to do something so stupid again? Oh right, he was looking at the girl. His gaze returned to her, and Daniel noticed that she seemed to be holding her breath. Why would she do that?
His previous suspicions returned, and the werewolf's green eyes narrowed in thought. Before he could stop himself, his mouth opened and he blurted, "Who are you?"

The vampire gave a nod at he reassured her that he was alright. That was something at least. She followed his gaze down to his arm, where the beads of blood were growing into drops. Bad idea. She looked back up at his face quickly, deep blue eyes glancing over his features as she tried to distract herself from the blood. Red hair, athletic, handsome, but there was something about him that made her feel uneasy.
Her eyes widened innocently when his green eyes narrowed at her. What was his issue? She hadn't even done anything to him and he seemed so suspicious of her... Danielle shifted her gaze away uncomfortably for a moment, then caught it again when he spoke. "Danielle Warren?" She responded, the answer like a question. What a weird thing to ask. "Who are you?" She moved further back, her back resting at the tree once more. She picked up her sketch book, placing it on her lap as a sign that she wanted to get back to work. The vampire looked down at her work in progress, and then looked back up. The way the sun shone on his features... honestly it would have made a good drawing... Danielle pushed the thought away, doubting that he'd want to sit and model for her since he was bleeding... bleeding...
The young woman had to pull herself out of her thoughts. "Do you normally run around here?" She asked, anything to keep her mind off of his small wounds. Though, it probably would have been better to just try and stop conversation all together. He needed to go... But yet, it had been so long since Danny had actually interacted with someone, or so it felt. She often withdrew from society, not wanting to be too tempted. Which she hated, she so adored social life. "Um, if you want, I don't live too far from here. Those look a little worse than I thought." She pointed her pencil to his scratches. "I have a first aid kit." she explained, as if the situation some how called for more of an explanation.

ο½ο½ο½ο½ο½ (oof sorry it's short, this is about as much I could come up with) Normally Brooke wouldnβt pay much mind to passersby on the street and just keep going, but something made her pause for a second. She stopped walking, and turned halfway to glance at the stranger. He seemed a little...jumpy? Or at the very least, uneasy. Perhaps part of her decided to stop out of suspicion, or perhaps just because she had a healerβs personality and was concerned. Either way, she called out to get his attention. βIs something the matter?β α΄α΄ΚΚα΄α΄α΄α΄Ιͺα΄ (THEY ARE NOT BAD SHUT UP and even if they were it's fine lol they jus talkin) Christopher watched the boy intently as he deliberated, but when Finn finally asked the first question the vampireβs eyes grew wide, and his breath caught in his throat. He knew his answer would be very important. The person in front of him was a werewolf, the enemy of his kind, and to ask such a question...What is your game?
Christopher relaxed his expression, his gaze drifting to the smooth surface of the table. Suddenly the wood-grain pattern was very interesting. βI have.β he muttered quietly. Just the other day, in fact. After we parted ways that night. But he wouldnβt say that part out loud. Finn didnβt need to know that. βI donβt make a habit of it. Most of the time, I have other ways. But you would be hard-pressed to find someone like me who hasnβt. Simply put, we have to feed.β Even if they didnβt want to. Christopher would much prefer wasting away without having to prey on others, but he had little choice. At least he had Brooke, who had access to blood without having to hunt mortals down and attack them. But sometimes there were complications, and they had to...do what vampires do.
He looked up, bright green gaze catching Finnβs deliberately. βDoes that make me a threat, wolf?β β§β½ α΄

α΄α΄Κ βΎβ§ Oh. Spencer thought as she heard the manβs question. In her curiosity she had made one critical error - I am very obviously an abnormally large creature. She shouldnβt have shown herself to this human at all, let alone stick around and get up close! Now this guy was clearly suspicious of her; he knew she wasnβt a regular wolf. But would he know what she was? Would he guess? This wasnβt good, nope not at all.
Now was as good a time as any to scare this guy off. Who knew, maybe heβd run away and try to forget the whole thing, or at least think it was a dream or a hallucination. No one would believe what he saw, at least thatβs what she hoped. Using her size and proximity to her advantage, she tried to be intimidating. Her ears flattened against her head and her lips drew back in a snarl, growling threateningly. Donβt ask personal questions, just leave me alone!(lol she fickle)

β½Boopβ½ Duly noted. xD
Standing this close to her, Ren saw the panic that flashed through her eyes and prepared for the worst. All he got was an impressive show of intimidation. A human would have been cowed for sure, which was likely what she was hoping for. But that told Ren quite a bit about the wolf before him. She was conscious, the human hidden beneath the wolfβs pelt, and she did not want to hurt him. She just wanted to scare him away
Unfortunately for her, Ren wasnβt one to run from danger.
He wasnβt stupid, though. He raised his hands, keeping his movements slow, until they were between them, palms facing her, in a βwhoaβ gesture. βEasy there,β he murmured. He added a fearful gulp, so as not to completely shatter his innocent human act, and took a careful step backward. Just one. βIβm not going to hurt you.β Human words. Obviously he wasnβt going to hurt her, because as far as she was concerned, he was a weak human who couldnβt have hurt her if he tried. But for some reason, it was what humans liked to say to wild animals.
But this disguise had gone on long enough. He needed to complete his dare, and leave her to her business. As much as a part of him wanted to linger for as long as she would tolerate him, he knew better than to push his luck. So he started planning. After all, he only needed to pet her briefly, and then get the hell outta dodge without getting bitten. Easy enough.
Probably.

Iskender was still in his police uniform as he walking back to his apartment, looking exhausted with bags under his eyes like he normally did after a long shift. He dragged his feet a little as he walked, rubbing one eye and just hoping to make it home and fall into bed. He pulled on the regular jacket he carried when the cold wind picked up, covering the shirt of his uniform. He passed many people in the relatively busy part of town without really noticing them.

α΄α΄Κ βΎβ§ For a moment Spencer paused, taking in the manβs words. It seemed obvious enough; any frightened person in the face of a powerful angry animal would say that. Of course, she considered the possibility that he might lash out in fear, but he probably couldnβt hurt her even if he tried. After all, she was a werewolf. But she wasnβt playing friendly anymore. She was done with her little investigation, finding no answers, and she just wanted this weirdo out of here. β½Boopβ½ Ren went still, the effort it took to withhold his inner predator rising with every second. He had a split second to decide how he was going to play this, if his plan was worth getting his hand bitten off. He met and held her gaze calmly, then slowly lowered his hands. No, it wasn't worth getting bitten.
But he was going to do it anyway.
He took one big step to his left, twisting as he did so he was still facing her. He took another, smaller, side step so he was facing her ribs. He kept just enough distance between them it looked like he was simply trying to work his way around her so he could leave. But then his hand breached that distance and ran lightly down her side.
He pulled back almost immediately, but there was no mistaking the brush of his fingers over her fur. He quickly took several steps backward, his gaze never once leaving hers as he waited to see what she would do next. He could leave quite happily now that he had completed his mission, but he wasn't about to turn his back if she lost her temper over his touch, brief as it had been.
