Crystal had been stopped once she left the first cohort by the praetor that didn't appreciate her attitude, and told of where exactly she was supposed to go. Apparently there had been a secondary message while they'd been meeting, but it hadn't gotten to them in time. Great. Oklahoma. She could understand why, it was a good place for campers from three different camps to meet, but why did it have to be so far away? She sighed heavily, hefting her bag over shoulders to free her hands.
That was when someone ran in front of her and stopped her from leaving. She raised an eyebrow as she looked over who had decided to hold her up. Besnik, one of the sons of Cupid. Interesting. She crossed her arms over her chest. "First I have to ask how you found out about where I'm going? Then I've gotta ask why I should let you come with me?" Her Irish accent was quite pronounced. She could handle herself, she'd been all over the States at this point, and even outside of the country in some cases. She didn't get lost.
Though now that she thought about it, having someone show her exactly where to go would save her time. She would get back here faster, maybe actually get some rest this time. She fidgeted her arm a bit, accidentally flashing her tattoo at Bes. It showed the SPQR that adorned the arms of every person in Camp Jupiter, along with the eagle that represented her father. She also had too many bars on her arm. In fact, there were seventeen. Only five of those were from her years spent in the camp. The others? Well, to say she had many successful quests was an understatement. She was running out of room on her arm. She really needed a break. Badly.
She took a deep breath. She knew which praetor wouldn't be happy about this, but honestly at this point she didn't care. "You'd better have a go bag, or you're leaving with nothing. If you're not at the gate in five, I'm leaving without you." She then walked past him, dropping her arms from her chest. Others stopped or quickly moved out of her way as she walked. She was the Primus Pilus, after all, the most senior centurion. The only people above her were the praetors and Lupa. And the gods of course.

Shephi Ailein ❝ When you've seen so much, you start to bee-lieve in anything. ❞ ─ son of aristaeus ─ Shephi grinned at his older roommate as the son of Hebe got awake, eyes only brightening even more as Finni took the flower crown on the bedside table near them. He loved when Finni used his abilities to restore the youth and lifeforce of the flowers; he would always watch with sharp attention, the fascination showing in his multicolored eyes as the flowers regained their colors, the petals going from drying and wrinkling back to smooth and soft. It made their flowers last longer, gave the flowers more love and meaning behind them. Some of these flowers had been around since the day they moved in together, and that fact still blew Shephi’s mind.
Shephi blinked a few times when Finni finally spoke, brought back out of his thoughts of the other boy’s abilities. He absolutely beamed when Finni suggested they go out and restock on some flowers. The more flowers the better, for so many different reasons! “That’s a great idea! Will do!” Carefully stepping away from the bed so Finni would have the room to get up and start getting dressed, he turned his attention to the flying creatures buzzing around them. He lifted his hand up above his head and waved it about in an almost lazy manner, fingers quickly wiggling and making a soft swishing noise as they rubbed together. The bees around him collectively started to buzz, and the bees further away and not having been paying attention soon followed suit at the noise. “Ah! Perfect!”
Shephi turned to go to his own trunk, popping the latch open and pulling the lid back to reach inside. Pulling out an already pre-folded set, he put them on the foot of his bed and shut the lid once again, making sure to latch it once more. It was charmed to where only he and Finni could open it without trouble, and anyone else who tried would face the anger of the honeybees of the cabin. The same went for Finni’s chest. “Everyone said that they want what you pick out for them!” he chirped cheerfully, tugging his pajama shirt off over his head and reaching for the Camp Half-Blood t-shirt. He faced Finni as he did so, knowing that whenever Finni saw the cigarette scars against his back it made him sad, if not worse. “They know you’ll pick out the best flowers for them, and they look forward to it!” Next the pants! Shephi pulled on a simple pair of pale blue jogging pants with a drawstring, which he tied up nice and neat. He finally tugged on a hoodie that. . . honestly belonged to Finni. He hadn’t stolen it, honest! He just. . . hadn’t given it back from. . . borrowing it yet. It was soft, okay?
Grinning as he finished up, he slipped over to Finni’s side and reached up to fix the other demigod’s hair just slightly, patting it down in a spot it seemed to stick out. “Ready! Does anyone wanna come with us?” He once again lifted his hand and make the soft swishing noise with his fingers, signaling to the bees. Only a few bobbed their way over, landing on the back of the hood he hadn’t pulled up. “Is that everyone?”
A bee promptly smacked him right in the eye. “Ah-!” He stumbled back a bit from the initial startle, but then giggled and reached up. It was a very tiny honeybee, one of the only ones of its kind that Shephi had. “Hi, Gage! You wanna come, too?” A pause, and the bee slowly lifted itself off of the lavender-haired boy, briefly lighted on Finni’s nose, then took off as fast as he had arrived.
Shephi chuckled and peeked up at him. “Gage just wanted to wish you luck. He asked if you could get him some violets, cuz he wants to make a ‘bed’ out of a petal for him and Zagan.” He reached for the door of their cabin and stepped out into the sunlight, raising a hand to shield his eyes. “He wants it to be a surprise.” He took another step out but kept hold of the door, holding it open for Finni and a few bees that flew out to go buzzing around camp.

Anatoly Blayke ❝ A hero can go anywhere, challenge anyone, as long as he has the nerve. ❞ ─ son of phanes ─ Over the years, Anatoly had come to learn quite a bit about his good friend Ethan Jekkson. The son of Chronos-Aeon, the energetic wildchild had inherited the Protogenos's ability of time manipulation, even if it wasn't nearly as powerful as his father's. Anatoly had seen EJ use it frequently during battle practice and real life emergencies. . . or, rather, he'd seen the result of EJ using it. EJ, out of no-where, would seem to know everything that was was about to happen and act accordingly, as if he had the reflexes and fast thinking of a god. The truth was, he just reversed time over and over again to make things go the way he wanted them to - to make events turn out perfectly. To help anyone and anything he could.
The thing was, EJ also used this ability to his advantage outside of high-stakes situations, and Anatoly was usually involved when he did. In fact, the time jumping had led to some pretty awkward situations between the two of them. . . which is why Anatoly had no issue with what had just happened. He'd jumped at the sound of EJ barging into the bathroom, sure, but one glance through the somewhat misty glass of the shower door was enough to tell who exactly had barged in on him during his bath hour. Shoulders dropping in relief, he opened the door slightly so he could hear EJ better over the water pounding down against his back, still kneading the shampoo in his hair against his scalp, making extra sure to get it completely sudsed up. "A new kid arrived," he hummed, taking his first guess. "You'll get to slay a really huge monster in three minutes with someone. Or. . ."
From the tops of the shower, a murky green shape, also covered in soap suds, moved, and suddenly, a giant snake was dropping down onto EJ's shoulders, quickly coiling around him. Yep, it was an anaconda. A green anaconda to be exact, its body nearly twenty-four feet in length. Part of it remained on top of the shower, but the front of its body wrapped neatly around EJ, pressing its broad, flat face against EJ's cheek. Other than that, it didn't do anything else.
It was Anatoly's anaconda. The giant soapy reptile had been Anatoly's loyal friend and companion since the day the boy had turned eight, after it escaping a smuggler's cage and finding his way to the son of the reproduction god's house, where he was promptly named Brace. Best birthday gift ever, huh? Brace had stuck by Anatoly's side ever since, or at least close by, attending Camp Golden Age with him and scaring the absolute crap out of anyone who did not know he existed beforehand. He was quite fond of EJ, and had been since the beginning, and had taken to casually draping itself around the time-changing demigod whenever he was around, booping his face against the human's in greeting. His jet-black tongue darted out to give EJ's nose a lickin' before it slid right back in.
Anatoly huffed and reached up from where he is, patting the back end of Brace's main body still perched atop the shower. "Warn him next time. I'm sure he doesn't want to get soaked." He started to rinse the shampoo out of his hair, and once he was completely rinsed, he started to step out, deciding to forgo conditioner. Even though he didn't really mind the fact EJ was right there and could see everything, Anatoly still covered himself with a nearby towel rather quick, wrapping it around his waist and tucking it in carefully so it wouldn't drop. "Or someone got a quest?"

Ethan "EJ" Jekkson ❝ if you can't make the most of any given moment, you don't deserve a single extra second. ❞ ─ son of chronos-aeon ─ Honestly? He didn't really plan on getting soaked from the snake, but he'd been around here enough that he wasn't surprised when there was a wet weight around him and a bunch of soft scales rubbing up against his cheek.
"Nah, it's all good, my guy!" EJ stated with a grin, giving the anaconda a fond pat. He liked animals, he preferred dogs, but snakes were pretty cool too. Especially this one that he had grown quite fond of. "I think he wants to share the clean! Thought I needed a shower!" He paused and gave a small chuckle.
The third guess had him give a small sigh, puffing out his cheeks. He didn't want the other to figure it out, but then again,he'd done this already a few times.
He was just dying to tell him anyways, bouncing on his feet at bit as he leaned forward doing a wink and finger guns at his good friend with a grin on his lips. It was a new and exciting quest, and while it was scary that they were involved in something so big, it was the first time that they had even interacted with either of the two camps that existed. It was exciting to think of!
"Not just anyone got a quest, dude!" He gently pushed the snake back up on the shower, not wanting to get any more wet, murmuring a soft 'sorry, Brace!' as he did so. "You are going on a quest! Today! Leaving this morning!" He had repeated this morning enough to even memorize the message.
EJ raised his hand, in a fist, to his mouth to clear his throat as he gave a little shake and hop. "Alright, I got this, I don't need to go through this morning again to remember it." One could only hope he didn't have to do that, again. His head wasn't going to like if he did it to such limits once more.
"Four seek out a dance stained red, A golden demon that fills us with dread. To find the child that has lurked in a dark flower so long, The performance for Mount Olympus will have only just begun. Four of which are to make this journey far. Three of which will return home without a scar. For there will be plenty of monsters to fight. But the only one that should be feared, is one of golden light. A daughter of a underground promise will leave from home, A daughter of the King will be found in New Rome. Lastly a son of a winged first being will make two become three, For they will be collecting one more who can only half see. Find the director of this fearful show, If these four cannot, between three camps blood will flow."
There was a pause as he hesitated and then looked at the other, allowing him to take in all of this. He wanted to see this off and wanted to know as much as possible, just so he could reverse as much as he could just to see what he could do to help.
"You're the third, Anatoly!" EJ grinned, clapping his hand gently on the other's shoulder. "You get to be the first of us to interact with the others. And I'm gonna be with you until you meet them and legit go. I've always got your back!"
Of course, if he even went with the guy, that would be up to him, the gods and the titans. He hadn't really been able to get that far. He could only reverse time so far and do so much in that span without feeling the effects of it.
"What do you say?"
