Frostpaw looks fine to me! I like the idea that though she's competent, she's inexperienced yet unwilling to accept help. That will be an interesting dynamic since she would obviously still need more training to be a full medicine cat on her own, but would be reluctant to accept help from any surviving medicine cats from the other Clans.
As for Russetspots, are you planning on making him as a living elder or a StarClan cat?

I was planning on Russetspots dying in the flood, but I suppose he could be a living elder. I think that having one or two elders around could make for an interesting dynamic on the clans' journey--would they be able to keep up, or would they have to be left behind?
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I thought that having Frostpaw being too proud for her own good could make for some good role-play, either by giving her a potential character arc in learning to admit her faults, or by having her pride result in problems for WindClan later on when she inevitably bites off more than she can chew, and fails to perform tasks a properly trained medicine cat could.

Yep, that was pretty much what I was thinking ^^ and if you wanna keep Russetspots alive go for it, but you certainly don't need to if you don't want the extra character. Though, the slight disadvantage of keeping him alive would be that WindClan would in effect have a full medicine cat, he would just have to sort of come out of retirement to finish Frostpaw's training.

I'm gonna start working on the general territory map later/tomorrow, so if anyone has any particular input or preferences for your Clan area, let me know. But we don't really need that for the time being so I think if we could probably start the roleplay as soon as all the characters are done and the rp page is updated with that info, unless anyone has any objections?

re: Russetspots I want Frostpaw to struggle without a proper mentor, so I guess Russetspots will have to die in the flood, then. I like the elder idea, though, so I'll make another character to play that role. I reviewed the number of surviving cats in each clan so far, and here's what I tallied: ShadowClan (10 living, 4 casualties) RiverClan (7 living, 3 casualties) ThunderClan (5 living, 6 casualties) WindClan (6 living, 6 casualties) SkyClan (14 living, 5 casualties) So I decided to make one more WindClan cat, a RiverClan cat, and a ThunderClan cat. My elder is going to be ShadowClan since they'll probably die soonish in the RP, anyway. I might make another ThunderClan cat and RiverClan cat, but I think I'm content with what I have now. These are all a work in progress, I'll get them done tomorrow: Edit: finished! SpeckleheartFemale | 24 moons | Bisexualwindclan warrior
》It is clear upon looking at Speckleheart how she earned her name—on her chest, the black and white she-cat sports a black, heart-shaped patch of fur. Various other markings are found on her legs, nose, and chin. With these exceptions, Speckleheart’s belly, legs, and chest are predominantly white, while her back, face, and tail are all black. Perhaps the most unusual physical feature Speckleheart has are her bright, yellow eyes, which have prompted many comparisons to an owl’s. The comparisons end there, however; far from being a fierce and intelligent bird of prey, Speckleheart is an incredibly kind and compassionate cat. Speckleheart is considerate to a fault, and all-too-willing to let other cats walk over her. She takes harsh comments and the selfish behavior of others in stride, but only because it fuels her low self-esteem. Instead of standing up for herself, Speckleheart will take every criticism lauded at her to heart. There’s neither a mean nor a bold bone in this she-cat’s body, and Speckleheart is the last cat that would be caught breaking the rules, or doing something risky. Unless, of course, someone pressured her into it. Speckleheart is desperate for the approval and affection of others, but never outwardly expresses this because she doesn’t want to inconvenience others. She’s a very shy cat, so anyone who goes out of their way to talk to her will earn her endless adoration.
》Speckleheart doesn’t remember her father very well, who died of infection from his wounds when she was only a few moons old. Her mother, stricken by grief, could do little more than stare blankly out at nothing for a long time afterward, breaking her reverie only to eat and occasionally tell Speckleheart about her father, who she said was one of the bravest and kindest warriors she ever knew. When Speckleheart was apprenticed, she was determined to follow in the paw steps of her father. However, according to her mentor, Harefang—a skilled yet harsh young warrior—Speckleheart had long way to go if she ever hoped to make WindClan proud. For the few moons he trained the young Specklepaw, Harefang made sure that she was aware of her every misstep and shortcoming. While Harefang’s short temper eventually earned him an early death in a border skirmish, the scars of his training would linger on Speckleheart even as she took on a new mentor and gained her warrior name.

BluepeltMale | 28 moons | Demisexualriverclan warrior
》Somewhere in Bluepelt’s lineage is a kittypet-turned-rogue that was a purebred Russian Blue. In the generations since, that sleek, silvery-blue form has evolved into a stockier, more thick-furred cat in the form of Bluepelt. When Bluepelt walks, his well-honed muscles ripple under his pelt, and among a large group of cats, he is bound to be one of the tallest cats. While some may find the large, gray-blue cat intimidating, Bluepelt is a rather gentle giant. Rarely, however, do his pale green eyes shine with compassion for anyone other than his (now deceased) sister. Bluepelt is a tom of few words, preferring instead to hang back and observe. He is fiercely protective of those he loves, to the point of constantly trying to monitor them and their well-being. He blames himself for the death of his sister in the flood, and fears getting close to anyone lest he fail to protect them as well. While not outwardly cruel to others, Bluepelt likes his space, and will snap at anyone that continues to violate said space. He’s a strong adherent to the warrior code, and will admonish anyone he catches doing risky or forbidden things. At his core, Bluepelt means well, and although it may be reluctantly, he will always assist a cat in need, even if it means bending the rules.
》Since they were kits, Bluepelt has made it his goal to always be there for his sister, Pebblebrook. Pebblebrook had a bad case of whitecough when they were less than a moon old, and had to be separated from the rest of the kits in order to prevent them from also catching the disease. She survived, but her growth was permanently stunted. Fearful that Pebblebrook might not be so lucky in the future, Bluepelt began to follow her wherever she went. The two were inseparable, such that they rarely talked to other cats. Eventually, though, after they became warriors, Pebblebrook began to tire of Bluepelt’s constant worrying. She accused him of smothering her, and Bluepelt hesitantly gave her some space. When the flood came, the pair of them were separated, and Bluepelt never saw his sister again.

FoxpawMale | 10 moons | Heterosexualthunderclan apprentice
》Foxpaw bears a heavy resemblance to his namesake, with big, pointy ears, and a russet coat. Black tabby markings race across his back, legs, and face, where they arc around his pale, green and often inquisitive eyes. Eager is definitely a good word to describe this tom: Foxpaw is always exploring, and always questioning. He never seems to run out of energy, or enthusiasm for the world around him. Foxpaw is pretty knowledgeable for his age, although most of the information he will rattle off at anyone who listens is mostly useless. Foxpaw can be tactless, often failing to understand when he is becoming annoying to others, or when he is being insensitive. Despite this, Foxpaw is a very social creature, and will often make friends through sheer persistence. He is a bit of an idealist and a dreamer who likes to imagine himself becoming a great leader or hero, even if he never actually puts any work towards achieving these fantasies. Foxpaw is also quite an optimist, and somehow will always find a bright side to every situation, or at least try to. He desperately wants to be useful, and any time a problem presents itself, Foxpaw will immediately start brainstorming (and then loudly articulating) solutions.
》Both of Foxpaw's parents were very doting towards their son when he was born, and were more than willing to nurture his curiosity. Foxpaw's father, Maplestrike, would often be accosted by his kit every time he returned from patrol, and at Foxpaw's insistence, would tell him about the sights and sounds of the territory. Poor Brindlefur, Foxpaw's mother, spent much of his kithood desperately trying to provide answers to his millions of questions. It was with more than a little relief that they pawned him off to his mentor when it came time for the young tom to be apprenticed. Most of Foxpaw's apprenticeship passed without incident, until the flood uprooted the clans and took the lives of many cats, including his parents.

Ravenflower
Female | 110 moons | Homosexual shadowclan elder
》Ravenflower’s once sleek and glossy black fur has become patchy and silvered with age. Scars from battles that Ravenflower fought in many moons ago can be found marking her chest, back, and snout. Despite the obvious wear and tear Ravenflower displays, her pale green eyes still shine just as fiercely as she did on the day she earned her warrior name. Time has done little to weather her spirit, nor her attitude. Ravenflower has strong convictions and opinions, and she isn’t afraid to voice them. She has always been very stubborn and short-tempered, and now that she’s a cranky, old elder snapping at apprentices, these qualities of hers have only seemed to have enhanced. Ravenflower’s arrogance isn’t unfounded now that she is by far one of the oldest cats left in the clans, but that doesn’t stop her from stepping on a few toes. Despite her prickly exterior, though, the she-cat possesses a lot of pride in her clanmates, and is confident ShadowClan will continue to flourish long after she’s gone.
》In her dozens of moons, Ravenflower has fought many battles, and forged many bonds. She proudly served her clan as a warrior, and wouldn’t hesitate to enforce ShadowClan’s borders. In her time, she has passed on her experience to several apprentices, including Quailspeckle, one of the few survivors of the flood. Now, Ravenflower is one of the few remaining members of her generation, with all of her friends and family having long since gone to join StarClan. Ravenflower knows her days are numbered, but remains determined to see that her clan survives.
Parents were Duskfeather and Mothsong. Siblings were Crowflutter and Pineberry.

Oh, thanks for doing the tally! It's... enlightening XD I'm not surprised that ThunderClan and WindClan are the lowest, actually.
In other news, I completed the first draft of the map. I took some creative liberties with the area (mainly just the twolegplaces and thunderpath), but for the most part I stayed true to the map, right down to the (rough) locations and shapes of the bodies of water and open fields. I did cut it down to just one walking trail, though, and I moved the road to run through/on the edge of WindClan and ShadowClan territory because I felt as though it would present more of a danger if it fell within Clan territory (even if it's a part they don't visit often) rather than outside it/on the border. Obviously, I can change anything that anyone disagrees with, and add anything they want- after all, this is just a general layout/rough draft.

Hey guys, I'm also juat working on characters, but if there's anything you need me to help with, just ask!
Gustpetal just an idea because I think it would be a cool dynamic. Would you want for Ravenflower to be either Coniferstep's or Quailspeckle's old mentor? I think it'd be an interesting dynamic, but have yet to find an rp where I can do it.
