Echoflame nodded to her sister as she heard the roll of thunder above. “That sounds like a good idea.” She meowed, reminding herself to answer Daisyfoot’s question when they entered. She settled off to the side of the warriors den with Daisyfoot and sighed quietly. “A lot of the clan barely notices me because I’m the youngest of the three of us.” She murmured, “I’ve always felt like I have to try harder to prove myself and be noticed because I’m living in you and Toadstar’s shadows...” The young hunter closed her eyes and looked away. “I know it’s stupid but it’s true...”

Concern lightly bubbled in Pebblepaw's stomach for not only her father, but for her two siblings. The storm was approaching their own camp, and she could see it pouring in an edge of their territory. She clenched her jaws as she stood at the mouth of the apprentice's den, wondering what it was that she could do in order to assist her Clan. She did, however, feel very frightened for herself, and became ashamed when she considered what best to do for her own safety over others.

It was a sad thing to consider all the pressure he had put on the young deputy, though she was not many moons younger than himself. Perhaps that only made him more sympathetic in the end.. after all, he knew how frightening and difficult it was to rise to leadership at a young age. The doubts many cats had towards him among his own. He had never wished to put the ever reliable Morning-gaze under such a situation so soon in her life. Toadstar had believed he would see many more seasons before he had to think of his own death, he'd hoped to see his children grow to become warriors. Maybe it was really beginning to weigh down on him what he would be leaving behind if worse came to worst. Three lives. "I know, I can always count on you, Morning-gaze." A genuine purr of happiness escaped the tom at the she-cat's action, truly fortunate to have had a friend like her through the many many moons. With her departure, his head flopped down onto his paws with exhaustion, huffing a breath of discontent. Between his body and the weather, it seemed his plans to visit some of his clanmates, perhaps mainly his family, had been drawn to a halt. It had been a fair bit of time since he'd been able to sit down and chat with them, and he knew they'd likely been too busy to visit themselves. Even his own children were oft busy with apprentice training since being appointed as such, he was beginning to feel like quite a dreadful father, ha. Their mother would be disappointed with him were she still here, or at least that was his thoughts on the matter.

Between the rain and thunder, Claypaw had completely lost his sense of direction, and was, at this point, just looking for landmarks that could lead him to where Hazelpaw was. Finding his way home would be hopeless and there was chance of him leaving when his sister could be in the storm. His ears perked up as he heard something besides the wind that howled like wolves and the crashing of rain like the sea. He started walking in a circle, trying to find where it came from. "Hazelpaw?" He answered, but his voice was mostly drowned out by another crash of thunder. Unable to hear a response, he kept walking until he heard the crashing of a waterfall, a little bit of a ray of hope to finding his way back. He didn't know the territory very well yet, since he was still a rather new apprentice and spent most of his time practicing, but he know these falls very well. He stepped under a ledge and shook off the water, a soft mist still filling the air, even with the shelter from the rain.

Hazelpaw padded into camp, her pelt soaked. She looked around, spotting Pebblepaw in the apprentice's den, but no sign of Claypaw. She bounded over to her sibling, flicking her tail in greeting. "Hey Pebblepaw!" She mewed. Hazelpaw was unsure of where Claypaw was wandering, but she decided it wasn't her issue, since her brother didn't even bother to ever speak to his siblings, anyways. "How's it been here at camp?" Hazelpaw asked, keeping a cheery expression on her face. She knew she'd be in huge trouble once she visited her father, but she had to speak with him. However, at the moment Hazelpaw was going to let loose and relax for a bit.

Daisyfoot ; accompanied by Echoflame .. {{ TigerLily }} {{ warrior's den, camp }}
Daisyfoot padded swiftly after Echoflame before looking back to see if any of their clanmates were rushing into the den to escape the raucous thunder and harsh pouring rain. Blinking her amber eyes slowly, they adjusted to the lighting in the warrior's den. She wasn't too pleased that the weather had changed suddenly, but dark grey clouds had been looming over MossClan for a sunset or two. Returning her attention to Echoflame, the runner listened carefully to each murmur her younger sibling made. She did not want to miss on something that was important to Echoflame and herself.
"Echoflame... I didn't know you felt this way," the ginger and white mackerel tabby mewed gently.
She didn't want to make the silver furred she-cat feel that it was her time to take the blame. Instead, Daisyfoot took a deep breath before continuing. "Listen, it's not stupid. You don't live in our shadows, all right?" she meowed, taking a step closer to the hunter. "Though I'm not around as often as I should be, Echoflame, I want to be here for you. We may not have been born in the same litter, but I care for you and Toadstar equally. After all, we are family."

Echoflame nodded, "Thanks Daisyfoot." She nuzzled her older sister softly. "I really appreciate you saying that. I guess I'm also not really noticed much cause I'm kinda quiet in general." The silver furred she-cat admitted with a gentle sigh. "I'd like to be able to talk to Toadstar more as well as you. He just always seems to be so busy."

If Mosspelt's fainting wasn't enough to send the younger warrior into panic, the screech from the loner sure did nothing to calm him. His fur puffed up as if little more than a ball of fluff on legs, his eyes had widened to the size of saucers, somehow beyond even his normal expression. As the Loner went flying out of the den into the storm he had become aware of, he could only stay stark still in obedience. He feared his very heart could be heard pounding to the thunderous roar of the storm outside. Ivy weaved in-between the trees, her pelt now soaked. The storm raged around her, roaring fiercely. The grey she cat snatched the final herb from the muddy dirt, her muzzle splattered brown. She hurried back to the den, her small paws carrying her as fast as ever. She wouldn't let her brother die, even if he was on the opposing team. Once she reached the den, she unloaded all the herbs, sorting them as quickly as she could. "Honeywhisker, I need you to hold him down." She hissed the demand at the warrior. She needed him to comply, or else she knew her brother would die.

Claypaw stepper cautiously into the cold caves, his wet paw steps echoing into the deeper parts. Behind him, the crashing waterfall began to drown out the rain, and the lightning lit up the cave each time it roared. This was a place he came often when he was restless in the camp, but it was the first time he had been trapped inside by a storm, and it was colder than ever.

Pebblepaw looked at Hazelpaw suspiciously. "Uhm... boring, I guess? Storm issue and all, you know... but there's also all this worry and craziness going on with... you know..." She was unable to really compose her thoughts, mainly because she felt like Hazelpaw was acting strangely and as if something was up. She hadn't seen her father recently, and wondered about what had been happening, and Hazelpaw going off on her own just spelled trouble.

She blinked. "Exactly how long have you been away from camp, Hazelpaw?" Pebblepaw asked her sister. "I haven't seen Toadstar in ages, you know. I've been hearing some things, Hazelpaw... and not good things! Everyone's speculating what's been going on, and here I am, alone in camp without your or Claypaw, pondering what could be happening or going wrong! And then all of a sudden, Riverlight bursts into camp looking more bristled than ever, complaining about just how bossy and awful you're being and that there's no hope for you!" Pebblepaw looked not only exhausted, but worried to bits. She stared at her littermate, wondering what she could possibly do for her.

Pebblepaw stared at her sister, mouth agape. She knew how Hazelpaw was, but she figured she would show at least a little more concern! "Hazelpaw, you're joking right?! I mean, look around you, this is no time to be concerning yourself with other... friends...? Oh, Hazelpaw... I really don't want to know..." The gray she-cat shook her head, trying to remind herself to not abandon her hope for her sibling. She tried her best for both Hazelpaw and Claypaw, and knowing that her personality was so different from those of her littermates, she really had no capability of truly understanding either of them. "We really have so much to worry about, clan-wise... I think its best if you stick around camp for a while, avoid trouble, and help out your clanmates," she offered reasonably.
