Relief briefly stole his expression at the sight of his deputy, pleasantly surprised to see her up and about as always -- perhaps he hoped she was resting well enough given all the work she had on her plate with his illness. Even with two deputies, the first was always meant for the more decisive roles of leadership in his absence. "It's nice to be out and about." Toadstar responded with a smile, "And lucky I am, I had hoped to find you, I pray things have been going well in my absence." The clan was still in one piece at any rate, though he had no worries in that regards even with the rising waters lightly lapping at the camps edge, he had chosen his deputies well and with himself able to pull himself from his den, he could sort out preparations for the season. Though not belying his weakness anymore than necessary, the leader carefully planted his bottom on the ground, conserving his energy where he could as he spoke with Morning-gaze, his tail neatly curling around his paws. "I wanted to discuss the coming travel to the newleaf camp with you, and that of our initiate apprentices' mentoring." "Yes things have been running smoothly, Firestorm and I have been working to make sure that everything goes they way it should." She mewed happily. She too sat down wrapping her tail neatly around her paws after all, they were going to be talking for a bit anyway. At the mention of the camp moving she got a bit nervous, because well that was a big thing. It needed to get done of course, as the water levels had risen and she could hear the rain coming. So the sooner the better. "Yes, moving to the newleaf camp is definitely something that needs to happen. Perhaps sooner than normal with the threat those clouds bring." She said glancing up to the sky a bit of worry set in on the she-cat. Being in charge made her a bit nervous and the fact the Toadstar was still sick didn't help. She hoped traveling and moving camps wouldn't be too hard on the older tom.

Toadstar offered a light nod as he listened to the she-cats word, seemingly in a pleased manner, although he had already expected as much. Morning-gaze and Firestorm had been good choices as far as he was concerned. However he did seem to take the news of the rain seriously, the rumbling above earning a light twitch of his ear. Perhaps that concerned him the most, the weather had only just turn moderately nice and but the rains had already caused quite a rise to the water levels. "I agree, We've had quite a bit of rain already this season... And it looks like we may have quite the storm ahead of us." His eyes closed briefly, head tilting down as look of thought crossed his face, concerned and perhaps a bit weary at what crossed his mind. Shaking himself from his thoughts, he soon reopened his eyes and resumed looking at his first deputy. "We'll have to be careful of the water during this storm, and be prepared for worst case from this storm." he replied, his gaze shifting to the elder's and Nursery that lay the nearest to the water's edge. If the water rose up too much further, before leaving, they'd have to move the inhabitants to the other dens. "Once the storm passes, be sure to send out a runner to check on the new-leaf camp. I'll leave it to you and Firestorm to lead the clan there as soon as possible."

Part of him couldn't help feeling a touch of remorse over how very much he had been relying on his deputies, with his illness there was very little he had been able to do beyond giving a few apprentices mentors and the like. "Thank you, Morning-gaze. Creeksong and Foxpaw are a wise choice, the apprentice could use a chance to learn more of the mountain area." he purred in something of a cheery manner at the thought, coming to realize this would be the first time many of the apprentices will have ever lived within new-leafs camp. Toadstar paused, however, as the apprentices were brought back up, almost seeming as if he had momentarily forgotten even mentioning it. Nevertheless, he promptly shook his head as if banishing his momentary confusion. "Right, right. As you know... Hazelpaw, Pebblepaw, and Claypaw, my children have been announced as apprentices -- And Both Midnightpaw and Twilightpaw have since lost their mentoring group. I meant to choose the group that would be training them earlier but... I was distracted for a time." He wouldn't admit part of his hesitation had to do with difficulty choosing the warriors he knew to be free as well as capable. "I'd like you to inform Raincliff, Waterleaf, Daisyfoot and.... Honeywhisker that they will be the group to train our current initiate apprentices. Of course, you may request Firestorm's assistance." there was some hesitation in mentioning Honeywhisker, though it wasn't out of any form of malice. However, anyone who knew the bright ginger cat knew his age and personality, well, it was something a tad desperate to bring him in. However, he believed the youth could handle the job among a group of other experienced warriors, and he was a fairly talented tracker.

"If you wish, you can go."Bear replied to Hazelpaw. He didn't want her to go but if she wanted to,he wouldn't stop her.He enjoyed spending time with her, even if at first they were a little hostile at first. He started wondering if she missed her siblings. He started thinking about his one surviving sister and stared to miss her. Hazelpaw nodded, and began to head back to Mossclan. She turned to look back at Bear and Wildfire. "Please, give him a chance." Hazelpaw pleaded to Wildfire, taking one last glance before she bounded away. She would miss Bear, but she was sure she'd see him again. She also missed her siblings, which she had to return to. She was excited to see Pebblepaw and Claypaw again, but she was worried to leave behind Bear. What if Wildfire were to kill him? Bear wouldn't stand a fighting chance with no training. Although Hazelpaw doubted Wildfire would kill his own son.

If her comment was meant offensively, it seemed to sail over the young warrior's head. "I suppose that's not hard to tell." he replied as bright as ever, his mood seeming to have improved from his encounter with the bratty Hazelpaw. His ear gave a sharp twitch at her following comment, though he bore no other sign of annoyance. "If that were the case, you wouldn't be on our territory. Although you do't seem to care much for the clan so you living here makes no sense anyways." Once more he shrugged his shoulders, it was irrelevant to him regardless. "I mean if I was I a loner, I'd probably live far away from cats that I didn't like, and even farther from those that would try to kill me." He added, though he clearly wasn't fit for such a life style. Honeywhisker was a far too social cat, lacking any mean bone in his body, he'd probably die of loneliness before anything else. "Of course, I'm happy as I am. Living alone and fending only for myself would be miserable." However, his attention was soon taken by the sound of a familiar cat, Mosspelt, the ginger turning his head back towards the den's entrance quizzically. "Oh, Mosspelt. Hello! You found me, good job!" he exclaimed cheerfully, as if it were some form of game, though he knew they had planned no such thing. They were both trackers so it was hardly suspicious for the older tom to so easily find his scent even among strange cat and ages old fox. A smirk spread across Ivy's muzzle. She had ignored Honeywhisker, not caring for what he had to say. However, the sight of her brother gave her a warm and fuzzy feeling inside. She had always had an advantage over her brother, but now the stakes had been raised. "Great, you brought friends." Ivy hissed, narrowing her eyes at Mosspelt. She guessed she'd keep it a secret. For now.

Although any cat would be insulted by being ignored when making valid points, even without the experience of the situation, Honeywhisker simply let it slide. After all, it was beginning to feel like everyone had some kind of problem with him today, at least female wise. First Hazelpaw practically clawing his ears off and now this loner acting like he was some piece of crow food, heck even Mosspelt was ignoring him like he was the enemy or something. It was disheartening to the generally cheerful and friendly cat who had up to this point had not thought he was so unlike able, and yet it seemed like everyone he met today had SOMETHING against him. This realization didn't show on his face, however, a cheery smile still plastered on his face, never belying any internal discomfort. "It's funny, you guys look kind of similar." Honeywhisker soon piped up in some attempt to lighten the atmosphere with his positive tone, "It's almost familiar, heck, I know Mosspelt for sure, but somehow I feel like I've seen you before too, Ivy. Isn't that weird?"

Echoflame lazed around in the sun outside the warriors den waiting for something to do. She constantly wondered if she would get selected to go out on a hunting patrol and hoped that she would but was never sure. The young warrior was the youngest sibling of the leader and her other sister and knew she got overlooked by others. Her oldest brother was the leader for Starclan's sake, of course she wouldn't be noticed. She sighed softly and licked her paw, swiping it over her ear to make sure her fur looked nice. At least if someone did notice her, she'd look decent.

(( Skyheart @brokennose Emberbreeze will be mentoring Sandpaw from now on. Tigerlily I will allow Midnightpaw and Twilightpaw to begin as initiates, but it will be implied the group of cats mentoring them have either died or been chosen to fully mentor senior apprentices -- however they will be made senior apprentices in one moon. Aka they will be allowed to be mentored with the other initiates for an extra moon as a result of their training being slowed by the loss of their mentors))

A light sigh escaped Pebblepaw's mouth, a bored and yet, somehow worried expression on her face. She had seen Riverlight rush into camp earlier, grumbling to himself, tail flicking and pelt stiff. He seemed very angry, angrier than usual. She had heard him mumble something about her sister Hazelpaw, and she became concerned for her littermate's well-being. She would glance towards the entrance now and again, worried Hazelpaw had done something terrible and gotten into trouble.

. DAISYFOOT - - } | TigerLily accompanied by ; Echoflame location ; warrior's den, camp
Daisyfoot had taken a small nap after wandering about camp where she was supposed to stay and monitor for the day. As a runner, her duty was to accompany any border patrols that were sent out each day. However, today wasn't Daisyfoot's day to join the patrols as it was Creeksong's turn. Instead, she was keeping an eye on the camp, making sure everything was neat and orderly. There really wasn't much to keep an eye on, so the moment she spotted Echoflame, her younger sister, lying in the sun outside of the warrior's den. Quickly trotting over to the she-cat, the runner flicked her tail in greeting. "Echoflame! What are you up to?" she asked, amber eyes brightening at the sight of her younger sibling.
It seemed that Echoflame wasn't up to much, so the least the ginger and white feline could do was make some time for her. After all, she was her sister; older nonetheless, but age didn't mean much to Daisyfoot. "Have you joined a hunting patrol today?"

Echoflame looked up as she heard the familiar voice of Daisyfoot. The young hunter purred upon seeing her sister and sat up. "Daisyfoot!" She purred, "I was just waiting for a hunting patrol to go out. I think I got up after the first one left." She tucked her ears in embarrassment at missing the first patrol. "How are you?" She asked her sister, "I haven't seen you much lately." Echoflame sighed, her tail flicking slightly. "I guess we've both been kind of busy at different times."

Daisyfoot was beyond delighted when her younger sister greeted her. She was definitely jovial which made the runner glad that the feline before her was doing well. "No need to worry about missing the first patrol, there's always others," she mewed, trying to reassure Echoflame. Hopefully the silver she-cat didn't feel too embarrassed now.
Ears twitching softly as she took a seat before Echoflame, the ginger and white she-cat took a moment to think before responding. "I've been doing well, not as busy as I'd like to be," she admitted, licking one of her paws. "How are you doing, Echoflame? Is the prey running well?"
The feeling of the dark sky looming overhead caused chills to run through Daisyfoot's lithe frame. She wasn't that fond of cold, chilly weather nevertheless the rain. It created havoc, in her opinion. Mud was grimy and disgusting. "I should really make more time for you. It's unfair to you that I haven't been around as much as I want to be. Have you seen Toadstar lately? I was going to check up on him two sunrises ago, but something came up," the runner explained, showing signs of concern. Maybe Echoflame knew more than she did.
