Hey! Let's RP!
I'm after someone who can write 2 decent paragraphs per post, or more. I'm feeling like RPing something with humans, since I've been doing a lot of warriors lately.
Some preferences: - Medieval (especially with fantasy, like... magic) - Historical, especially if there's a particular time period - I like playing with the idea of soul mates - Also, something forbidden, or not 'forbidden' but like two people who shouldn't be - Maybe something dystopian? Especially a dystopia where they think they are in utopia, but everything they know is WRONG.
So yeah, that's a few things I like. I'm only looking for like one of two people to RP with, so ye. If you're interested lemme know!

Hmmmm... are you up for doing something with me? Since we're already in your clan together I get it if you don't want to but if you're up for doing something with me I'd be interested in something forbidden or with soulmates?

[ Gurl yas, I love rping with you! C:
Well, here's what we can start with - soulmates, but they shouldn't be together, because it is like 'forbidden'. There is something between them that means they shouldn't be together but their souls must be! What kind of time period do you like to rp in? Modern, historical, medieval? ]

Glad to hear that! I enjoy it too!
Ooh that sounds fun. I definitely prefer modern. I could do medieval but I'm not much of a historical person just because I struggle a bit with that, but I could probably pull of medieval. Modern is just what I'm most comfortable with. What are you feeling?

Post by aether on Mar 6, 2018 1:03:13 GMT -5
[ modern is cool with me.
i remember doing a rp a long while ago with soul mates where muse a was an immortal person, who lived centuries searching for their soul mate. sometimes they would find when their soul mate was already old, some times their soul mate would just be a child, other times they were already in a loving marriage or relationship and stuff. and when muse b grows old and dies, they are reborn into a new body and new life, and muse a is just always searching for them because they, for some reason, are immortal.
so maybe we could figure out something with that? like... something that inhibits them from having a relationship when muse a finds muse b? ]

Hmmm yeah something like that would definitely work. I think it would be the easiest to go along with muse b being married with a child or two. It could also be maybe not an arranged marriage but like they were both pressured into it by their parents so there's just all this stuff keeping muse b away from muse a?
|
|
|
Post by aether on Mar 6, 2018 1:14:17 GMT -5
[ oooh, like maybe they are both from rich, fancy families and they married and had a kid for the money, and having the heir to pass on. then muse a strolls in, some street person with nothing to their name, and not only is there tension because their a no-one with nothing, but there is tension because of the forced/arranged marriage. to make muse b seem less like a cheater, we could say their s/o at the time is also kinda a butthole who flirts with other people and stuff? ]
|
|
|
Post by . on Mar 6, 2018 1:19:08 GMT -5
Yeah that could work. Like their spouse is always flirting and going out with other people and doesn't even really try to hide it since neither of them were really 100% into the marriage. Muse b tries to be a better person but then muse a comes along and it's like the first person that they really truly loved and they want to leave their marriage but know it won't work out leaving this whole planned marriage for a nobody with nothing to their name and yeah I think this could definitely work

so, did you wanna be muse a or muse b? ]

Hmmm muse b if you don't mind? I think I've got a few characters that would work well for that one. Did you want to do PMs or on here?

[ i would kinda prefer to do it here, i've found that i'm much more reliable with responses if its in a thread for some reason, idk why though xD if you were happy to do it here too that's cool? unless you preferred pm?
i'll be muse a. did you wanna claim the guy or girl? i don't have a set character yet, so i'm fine with either haha ]

Yeah I'm cool with doing it here. Really either works for me so if you prefer staying here then that works for me
Hmm if you don't mind I'll take the girl? I have a few in mind that could work for this plot

[ suweet! yeah, idk why i just fail at doing pm roleplays? xD Like... i just forget to reply.
You can be the gal for sure! i'll have a dude named Rhys Phillip!
also, i kinda feel like the perfect location for this plot is london? what do you think? ]

Post by . on Mar 6, 2018 1:45:06 GMT -5
Huh XD yeah I guess I like the privacy that PMs gives you but that's also like not a necessity for me so I'm good with whatever
I'll probably use either Jordan or Mia. I'll think on it tonight and confirm it tomorrow most likely
Yeah London works! I'll probably do a little research since I've literally never left the US but I can definitely work with that

[ haha, yeah, that is the good thing about pm. if i weren't a forgetful frankie.
cool. i might just make a little character profile.
i've been there once - just think... cobbled streets, old sandstone buildings, random alleys with stuff. i went in winter so it was all grey and dreary and icy haha. but yeah, pictures and stuff will give you a good idea c: ]

yeah each choice has their pros and cons so I'm not like totally stuck on doing it only one way
I should have a form written up somewhere for both my girls so I can find one of those later on when I decide who to use
Ooh that sounds really cool. I want to travel so badly but I just can't right now.
I'm gonna be heading to bed now though since it's about 1 am here

Rhys Phillip | Immortal, but looks 30~
Rhys has seen it all. Being a few hundred years old, there is nothing that surprises him anymore. Which is why he can carry a bored look on his face quite often, or his brows are furrowed unconsciously while he is thinking and he looks grumpy. Which isn't exactly the case. He is a kind man, he'll open the door for the person behind him, or help an old lady across the road if he saw they were struggling, but he is also fair. He won't offer someone everything they want and more, he will offer someone his hand, but won't lead them. This comes from years and years of being that 'great' person and doing everything for everyone and having... nothing. Absolutely nothing.
The only thing Rhys has to his name is his motorbike. He does have quite a bit of money stored away from various misadventures and bouts of work he'll do. Though most of the time he is on the road, moving from town to town, following his heart until it leads to... her. The only person in the universe that can make his life feel like has a purpose, rather than it feel like he is constantly chasing. Rhys likes to understand a situation, so he can be quiet, but tends to become more talkative with time. He tends to be quite serious, too, but will make a joke and laugh at a joke at the right times.
Rhys is quite tall and rather fit. He is often rocking his black leather jacket (perfect for wearing on his bike), and he usually has some stubble on his chin and cheeks because sometimes shaving while on the road is hard. He has cornflower blue eyes, and short and curly black hair.

Ah, good ol' London... It was quite nostalgic, being the place where Rhys has been born. He'd been born in a tiny complex in the East End - that building had been torn down long ago though, when safety regulations were considered more seriously. The wind whipped past Rhys' face as he cranked the handle on his motorbike and flew down a narrow street. He had just returned from a trip in New Zealand, well, a trip being thirty-three years, in which he'd found his soulmate. That time, he found her when she was sixty-four, she'd had a family and a husband and was proud of her grandchildren. In situations like that, Rhys had no choice but to sit back and just watch his soulmate go about their life. This wasn't an unusual series of events, though.
The soulmate before last had been a German artist man named Bruno - Rhys became quite close friends with Bruno, who never married but did have a child who he saw occasionally. Sometimes he never did find his soulmate, and would go long periods alone, lost, just moving everyday without knowing where he was supposed to go. Yet this time, he felt a pull. He felt the strongest urge to return back to his country, his city, his home. The air was crisp here, there was a dampness to it that might be uncomfortable for some, but it was reassuringly familiar to him. He didn't know where he was going, but he let his heart take the wheel as he zoomed and skidded through the side streets of the city that held his heart.
He hadn't been here for a long while, for more than a century. Many things had changed, and he basked in the difference. Considering the fact that he was immortal, he loved change. In fact, he craved it. It made the world feel new and unexplored - even though his heart was always in London, he now had the chance to rediscover it. So he found himself parking his bike and locking it in a designated spot so he could continue to walk through Hyde Park. The massive park was big and green, and filled with cute little squirrels which, admittedly, warmed his heart. It was bustling with strangers going about their days and tourists taking photos and taunting geese. Around him he could hear the gentle breezes whispering through the trees, and after that, the sounds of cars and trucks and beeping horns. It was certainly... louder than he remembered. But he did enjoy the modern style that old London had adopted, whilst still keeping it's historical value. He tucked his ungloved hands into the pockets of his black leather jacket, and closed his eyes for a moment.
He was still. He was okay. He felt that yearning in his heart, and smiled. His soulmate was near. They were here, somewhere, and his fingers started to feel buzzy from the knowledge. He opened his eyes again and locked around the park, then to the buildings that surrounded it. I wonder who they are... where they are... Rhys followed a pebbled path through the park at a leisured pace. If there was anything he learned about finding his soulmate, it was that he should not rush it. Especially when they were an adult, he had to wait and find out more about them before diving into their lives. If they were a child when he found them, he would usually just go away again for a few years until the time came for him to stroll into their lives. It was all about timing, and he considered himself to be quite good at it.
He rounded a corner and looked to the massive building that was Kensington palace. It was huge, made of stone, and had many windows. Tourists packed around the gates, but it was just for show. There was no entering. Rhys couldn't help but feel smug at the thought that he had been in there before, many years before - though he was sure the lad from hundreds of years ago, the lad who was he and he was able to enter, was now long forgotten about. He kept on strolling, kept on trying to distract himself from the buzzing in his fingertips - which was not just from the cold, but the thought of his soul mate being near.
Are you near me now? He let his cornflower blue gaze slowly stare about, and thought it'd be ironic if his heart led him to London only to find his soulmate was a tourist who would be returning to their own country soon enough. He'd have to leave this old, cold city again. Am I going to run into you? Or will you run into me? It wouldn't be the first time that his soulmate would have stumbled their way into his life, contrary to him figuring out a plan on the best way to enter theirs.

Jordan Adler - 30
Jordan is a somewhat short and slim young woman at 5'5. She has soft brown hair that falls a few inches past her shoulders and dark brown eyes. Her skin is somewhat tan and she has a few scars from her reckless childhood.
Jordan is a fun loving and adventurous young woman. She's a lot more serious now, but she does like to have a good time and tries not to take things too heavily. She's a good hearted person who truly wants the best for others. Despite that, Jordan has a bit of a temper and will lose her cool if people try to push her around.
She's currently married to a man named Eric and they have a 10 year old son named Rylan.
(Sorry it's short I'm gonna be playing with Jordan a bit since this is such a different age and situation than I usually have her in)

Jordan had never had true love. It was a sad thing to admit after being married to a man for twelve years, but it was true. Eric had been 19 and Jordan had been 18. Though young, the two had already been arranged to get married as soon as Jordan turned 18. Two weeks after her birthday, the two families had rushed off to get their children married. Two years later, they'd had a child. Have one early, their parents had advised. He'd have more time to learn how to run the company. Ah, the company. It was all because of that stupid company... Eric's dad and Jordan's dad were business partners. Their parents had married them off to keep the company in the family. Of course, they were overjoyed when Rylan was born. The company's next heir had been spoiled and treated like a king. That was ten years ago and Jordan tried to be a good parent for Rylan on her own since Eric always seemed to be out partying and drinking and flirting with other girls. Not the behavior expected from a young businessman like himself, but Eric had made it very clear that he was just as unhappy with this marriage as Jordan was. Despite how unhappy the couple was, divorce was not an option and Jordan had to do her best to give Ry a somewhat normal life, at least until he was old enough to understand the circumstances of his parents' marriage. Eric was currently at work. Jordan had been offered a high powered position in the company, but turned it down. Her family already had enough money to give her a comfortable life and Eric was practically sitting on bags of cash instead of the luxurious leather chair in his office. Instead, Jordan was focusing on her true dream of writing. Now, however, she was rushing home after a meeting with her father, Eric, and his father. Her mother had died a few years ago and Eric's had left him and his father when he was only a child. Though Jordan felt bad for him in that area, she still found it near impossible to actually love her husband. He wasn't the kind of guy she'd always imagined herself ending up with and that was enough to make her cynical about true love and happy endings. Her love life was never destined to have a happy ending, especially with her doing her best to be a better woman than Eric was. As she was ducking through the crowds of tourists, something caused Jordan to slow down as her eyes landed on a man in the crowd. He was unfamiliar, yet familiar. She didn't know who he was, but she felt as if she had known him for years. Pausing slightly, the young woman looked down at her phone. She still had a few hours before she had to pick Ry up from school, so she had time. The curiosity and the pull of whatever force this was was too strong and Jordan ended up changing her path to approach him. "Excuse me, sir?" she asked as she approached the strange man. It was as if a spell had been cast on her, drawing her towards him. The feeling was odd, but she didn't necessarily dislike it. "Do I know you from somewhere? I'm sorry, you just seem very familiar," she explained, wanting to tell him why she'd approached him before he said anything. Maybe they'd gone to high school together? She doubted it. Jordan had grown up in American and only moved to London after marrying Eric. It seemed like a very slim chance that someone from high school had ended up in the same city and the same country as she had. But this was where the company was based, so she didn't have a choice. Eric was originally from London, and his father had gone to college in America. That's where he met Jordan's father and the two had moved back to London to start their company. Jordan had grown up only with her mother and brother in America. Her brother had died in the same accident as her mother, leaving Eric and Jordan as the only heirs to the company... So she had absolutely no say in living here. That didn't mean she didn't like it. It was a beautiful country and she'd always wanted to visit when she was a child. She never imagined she'd actually live here. Her midwestern American accent was still heavy in her voice, instantly making her stand out. Again, that wasn't something she necessarily minded. Eric complained, though, saying Jordan could at least try to fit in. She wasn't sure what he meant by that, but she never tried to argue anymore. It was easier if she didn't. aether

After a moment of still, Rhys walked forward again, continuing along that little pebbled path that weaved around the park. He paused again on a little arched bridge that went over a little stream which ran through the park and towards a fountain by the palace. People moved back and forth around him, off to work, off to sight see, off to do whatever they had planned for that crisply cold day. He smiled turned to continue walking again, but then all his plans were forced to a halt when he found himself turning to answer a voice, and then found himself staring into the deep brown eyes of a woman. Well, not just a woman. It was her. He knew this because he felt like his brain was going to short-circuit from all the feelings of overwhelming happiness it caused him. Like little fireworks popping in his brain, filling his ears, to tell him, that's the one! That's your soulmate! They've returned!
Only that feeling was cut short when he realised she was standing in front of him, staring at him, talking to him, and he was unprepared to answer. He was caught off guard, and stared at her a little blankly for a few moments as her question hung in the air. Do I know you from somewhere?
She didn't have an English accent, was something he noticed about her first. He flashed her a sheepish smile, and brought his hand up to rub the back of his neck. How was he going to play this... usually his soulmate didn't recognise him like this. Sometimes they'd look at him skeptically, but they never seemed to remember him. It was odd, but it gave him a fluttery feeling in his heart. "I've been around here a lot, you might have seen me a bit," he replied to her. It was a lie, but she wouldn't know that. He hadn't been in London for a very long time, though she didn't know that. He didn't want this moment to end with her, he knew it could be dangerous, but he just wanted to walk and talk with her. To find out what she was doing in this life, what she was passionate about, if she was- oh... she's married. His eyes honed in on her wedding band around her finger. He couldn't help but feel disappointed.
"I think I recognise you too... are you here much? I do feel like I know you from somewhere..." He furrowed his eyebrows as if he was honestly trying to remember her from somewhere. This was another lie, he and this version of her soul had never met, but he didn't want her to leave straight away. He wanted to talk to her for a bit - it meant that next time he saw her he'd have a valid reason to approach her. Trying to think of something witty, he raised his hand and clicked his fingers, then pointed to her casually, "You don't work at that cafe do you? The one with all the beautiful ladies," oh it was so cheesy, and oh he felt stupid. His smile turned lopsided and sheepish, and he glanced down for a moment, not sure if he should apologise for such a cringe-worthy... compliment? Now he just seemed creepy, really.
Smooth, Rhys. Just smooth.
. , i got ready and had time before i left to post haha
