If youโre interested in fantasy stuff at all I definitely recommend the Witcher. It won game of the year in 2015 and Iโm pretty sure the expansion for it won game of the year in 2016. I went to gamestop the other day to get a new controller, and they had it for sale, both expansion packs included, for like 35-40 bucks. (hmmm yeah I'll check it out. I'm not super picky on video games)

Simon wrinkled his nose in feigned disgust when he was told to get into the car. It was definitely joking because of how quickly he scrambled into the car and grabbed his jacket back from Ezreal. The poor teen was shaking like a leaf, pressing against the door, trying to get warm. A part of him couldn't believe the expensive clothing that Ben had gotten for Ezrael because the nicest thing that he'd ever gotten was a leather jacket from Express for his sixteenth birthday. Even that was 75% off and Carly had to fight him to actually get it. Most of his things were from second hand shops so they were nice and already just slightly worn down.
He wasn't able to enjoy the car ride, though, because of the strangers he didn't know and the overwhelming dread that was piling in his stomach. He didn't know whether or not he should say something so instead he reached over and grabbed Carlys hand and squeezed it twice. It was a warning, somethign he did whenever his senses were telling him that things were about to hit the fan, he just didn't know when. The dread bubbling up in him was nearly impossible to ignore and he felt like he couldn't breath as they got out of the car.
The ten minute jog should have shaken off the feeling. Whenever he had this much dread and anxiety built up he'd go for runs, he'd exercise to the point that he couldn't even think anymore, he'd passed out a few times doing so. But now... now it was different. He didn't want to go through the bridge, he opened his mouth, wanting to say they should just avoid it because that dread was all he could think about and he just knew something was going to go wrong.
There was something wrong about that person, too, and he nearly grabbed Ben and told him to stay back. "Be careful, Ben," he muttered as he passed by, being the coward that he was and staying hidden against the building, not following him if he wanted to. He swallowed thickly and brought out his short sword once again. He just hoped it was some kind of child of Hypnos who had fallen asleep standing up but there was somethign that was telling him that there was no way that was what was going to happen.
When the screech hit his ears he knew that his suspicions were true.
He had bolted forward before he knew what was going on. Skeletons were everywhere and he'd paused at that, trying to connect to them, wondering if he could have any type of control over them... he'd only stopped when he was close enough to Ben because he needed someone to cover for him. The idiot went out alone when there was clearly somethign wrong and he needed someone to look out for him. He was twenty feet away when he'd stopped and tried to control these creatures.
Big mistake.
Before he knew it he'd been shoved to the ground by one of the creatures who had cautiously neared him. He had been too slow, too focused on trying to tell them to back off, that he had never seen the skeleton behind him coming. He saw the first one, the one infront of him, and had been busy lashing out at it with his short sword that he hadn't seen the other one coming. It was just him trying to do too many things at once, testing to see if he could control these skeletons, figuring out if he could shadow-travel any closer to Ben, and fighting the fisrs one that he had turned around too late and a blade was brought down on his shoulder. The pain and force was enough for him to fall down, and even if he was lashing out it wasn't doing too much good. He had left before he had heard Carlys warning, too, but even if he had heard her he would have tried to go after and bring Ben back to the safety of the group. Now he was paying for it, skeleton over him with a rather large sword, realizing that the feeling of dread was because it was him time to die. Not anyone elses. Surprisingly he felt a flash of fear in him, not ready to live with his father, and all he could do was lift his arm to try and protect himself from it.

Ezreal Feye // Son of Aphrodite
" Nothing important should be taken seriously. " โ โฆโพโโพโฆ โ "Oh." Ezreal looked at Simon taking the coat hesitantly."Thanks!"
What a pleasant surprise.
It was extremely hard to keep his attention, even Lux of all people had troubles keeping his gaze on her at times. Of course, she was the only person in the world to be able to get him to switch emotions with just a few words, to get him back into the real world and paying attention for at least a few sentences. At the mention of death, the one of few things that could bring his attention back, he tilted his head, a friendly grin coming onto his lips, mouth opening to give some sort of response, only to close.
Ezreal's kind demeanor turned cold as stone at the car, puffing out his chest and raising his chin, his smile all but disappearing and a hardened look glossed over his beautiful blue eyes. Wary and cautious, he seemed to lean closer to Simon and the cold seemed all but forgotten. A stranger to pull over for demigods was not generally a good sign. His protective instinct vanished in an instant upon seeing it was Ben, a excited, cocky grin emerging and the gentle playful light returned to his eyes as he got in the car.
"Oh man, you got me stuff?" the son of Aphrodite gleefully asked, already reaching into the bag to get the clothing, putting on a coat over his hoodie, a warm headband going over his ears and gloves slipping on quickly. He seemed more than a little thrilled at the designer clothing. "I dig these." It felt nice to have warm clothing again. It wasn't long before he was chatting and joking around, once he had stopped shivering so violently from the cold.
Now, Ezreal was extremely fit. He did a lot of activities that kept him in shape.Warmed from the car and extra clothing, he was in much better condition to be moving along with the others, his walk being more of a strut, as always. He seemed oddly cheerful and optimistic, staying by Ben's side as much as he could, saying jokes and just talking mindlessly when he could. Almost aloof, unaware of how heavy the situation was. Until he was given the order to shut up, his mouth stayed in motion.
He almost started humming, his hands in his pockets, backpack straps on his shoulders and a cheerful look on his face. Even in this kind of a situation, he seemed to almost be enjoying himself. The secret to it was to be off in a different world. His mind wandered enough to let him space out, think of various other things. He didn't seem to be too fearful or mystified at such things. That was more for Lux's things anyways. He honestly didn't really care if this town was filled with people or not. Actually, that's a lie, the more people the better.
The stop nearly made him trip, but as elegant and refined as he was, he worked smoothly to look like he meant to do that, stopping in his tracks to rest his beautiful blue colored eyes on the leader of the quest. He blinked a bit at the direct gaze towards him, a grin cracking out on the eighteen year old's lips. "I'm more of a dog person anyways." Let it be known he was a sassy one.
As asked of him, he didn't seem to wander too much, finding himself going back near the group any time he found himself nearly going a different route or finding his curiosity pull him in another direction. Ezreal stopped a time or two to stare at another place before realizing that they had stopped at a brick building. There seemed to be a person that Ben was trying to get the attention of. "Man, you gotta "I'm Ezreal, not Ben," the blonde chirped after his best friend, glowing with amusement. "I'll do what I would do." He had a knack for getting out of trouble anyways. He was dying to follow after Ben and to properly get that person's attention. A whistle sometimes didn't just cut it! Oh, how he wanted to show the other how to properly get someone's eyes on you. If it was one thing he knew, it was people. He knew how to get their attention, how to read them, how to get their focus on you. He loved it.
The splitting screech made him wince and his smile instantly faded, his hands going up to his ears with a grit of his teeth. The person wasn't a person at all, it turned out. The skeleton was something that seemed to know how to fight, going after Ben.
Years of instinct took over and he was quick to dash towards Ben, his gaze turning as icy cold as it had when Ben had pulled up, before he had realized it was the group he had came to Alaska with. Skeletons seemed to stop him before he could even get too far from the building and he took a few steps back, a bit concerned indeed.
"Man," Ezreal commented, the snow crunching under his boots as he started to retreat. "Got quite the smile, don't 'cha? Say, why didn't the skeleton feel the cold?" The skeletons didn't seem to be having any of his talking. Tough crowd. "Because the wind went straight through him!" Well darn, that wasn't really working now, was it. His eyes darted back to the others, who seemed to be dealing on their own accords before taking in a deep breath and staring directly at the skeletons.
"Stop walking." His voice grew loud and very powerful, filled with emotion and desire, every bit of his will going into those words. The skeletons stopped in their tracks, much to his glee. However, the seriously look didn't leave him as he reached out towards them. "You don't want to fight. You want to lower your weapons and go back in the buildings. It's cold outside, isn't it? So go. Go back. Stay away from the living campers." He didn't want to pull out his dagger, as much as he might be needing it. A few skeletons obeyed, but those farther away from his words seemed to be less likely. It was a skill he was still working on and took too much energy, even for someone with seemingly endless amounts of it.
His right hand moved back to his belt hilt to grab the dagger, his hand gripping the familiar wrapping. Miella was unsheathed and Ezreal lifted his chin, a fighting stance coming upon his body as he slowly backed up a bit more.He was ready to swing the blade when a figure dropping in the corner of his eye making him hesitate.
Simon! he thought, worriedly. His head turned towards the other, and took in a deep breath. Wasn't he on this to protect Simon, Carly and Skylar? To be here with Ben so he didn't have to do it alone? He tried to shove one of the skeletons away, but another had grabbed at him, holding him back from beind able to dash towards Simon. The strength that usually made him fight was a bit drained. "Let go of me!" A worried blue gaze went towards Simon, towards Ben.
I'm not going to lose a friend, am I? I'm not going to lose this, right? Please, Mom, if you hear this, don't let them die! Ezreal silently prayed as he fought off the skeletons, his instincts not letting him to towards Carly or Skylar, wanting to protect Simon and Ben. The skeletons had let go of him, but that didn't stop them from fighting him. Don't let them die.
โ โฆโดโโดโฆ โ " Consequences only matter if I don't get away. "

Already the adrenaline seemed to wear off, as the pain from his shattered eardrum kicked in. His head was throbbing and he felt like his entire left side was now vulnerable. Ben didnโt know who the hell this Screech guy was, but he was one hell of a demigod when he was alive thatโs for sure. After what seemed like an hour long chess match, which was really only a few seconds, Ben finally managed to behead Screech with a a swift swipe of his spear. He looked around him, it was like looking at one of those war scenes in a movie where the soldier experiences shell shock. Skeletons were everywhere, around thirty in total, but the battle seemed to be going well, their numbers were decreasing by the second. Thatโs when he saw Simon, the son of Hades was pinned down by a rather large skeleton, with a rather large sword. There was no time to think, Ben reacted purely on instinct, running towards Simon, but it seemed like he was running in slow motion. The large skeleton brought his sword down, and Ben lunged, not to attack the skeleton, but to deflect its sword. This is something he wouldnโt normally do, but given the circumstances, a.k.a if Simon died he was good as dead anyways, Ben did what he had to do. The skeleton brought his sword down connecting with Bens forearm, cutting it and his spear, clean in half as well as leaving a small cut on Simonโs chest. Pain. Thatโs all that came to his mind, but Ben didnโt have time for pain. With his right arm gone and his spear cut in half on the ground, the son of Hephaestus had one option and that was to protect Simon. With his left hand he punched the skeleton in the face, which accomplished nothing except for making it mad as well as breaking most of the bones in his fingers. With a loud roar, more of a battle cry than anything, the skeleton reared to strike with Ben as his intended target. Again, time seemed to be moving in slow motion. The demigod looked around, Skylar and Carly seemed to be holding up, Ezreal was being grabbed by multiple skeletons, and Simon looked as if he couldnโt comprehend what was happening before his very eyes. Benโs gaze lingered on Simon, then he did something rather peculiar, he smiled. โIโm sorry... I couldnโt get you that car... buddy.โ He whispered. The skeleton finished his swing, cutting through Benโs left collar bone like butter, killing him instantly as soon as the blade connected with his heart. Lifeless, Aeneas Benjamin Kinter crumbled to the ground, the light having already left his eyes.

Skylar had tried to look back as Carly yelled something about sticking together. Sticking together? That would just get them surrounded quicker. They would be overwhelmed. Then her eyes widened as she saw something she knew would happen, but didn't want to see. She saw Simon on the ground, about to be impaled by a larger skeleton, only for Ben to dive in the way. No. Another strike, and Ben fell. Not Ben. He didn't deserve to die, not now. Sure she'd been panicking, thinking they were going to die, but that didn't mean she wanted it. He'd been doing everything he could to protect them, he'd helped her when her finger had been missing. She couldn't believe that he'd gone down protecting them, the kids of the big three. She thought that had just been a halfhearted joke to make everyone feel a bit better about the whole thing. She didn't think he would actually sacrifice himself for them.
This made a lot of feelings surge within her. Grief at losing someone that could have been a close friend, terror at seeing someone die, the need to go to him and help him, save him, then the final emotion crashed through her and wiped away everything else. Anger. Fury. Sparks started to fill her eyes as her face twisted from terrified to furious. How dare they hurt someone she cared about! Sure, she hadn't known him long, but at least he'd helped her. She couldn't help caring about him, or the others. It was just how she was. The fury exploded out of her, giving her a burst of strength. She pushed the three weapons away from her, then with a quick spin they all fell to the ground in three pieces each. She turned herself towards the large skeleton over Ben and Simon. It wasn't going to get the chance to strike again.
She dashed forwards, light flashing off her silver blades as she cut through every skeleton that got in her way. Electricity started to crackle on the surface of her weapons as she sliced through two skeletons that had moved to block her. She felt hands grab at her, and a simple spin sent limbs falling to the ground. She'd become a whirlwind of bladed death, sparks of electricity flying through the air. Skeleton heads and limbs hit the ground where she went as she carved a path straight to Ben and Simon. She didn't even notice the occasional blade grazing her. Most of the skeletons had moved to stop her, but they simply couldn't. Those already embroiled with fighting her companions managed to avoid falling before her simply because they were already occupied.
She reached the big skeleton, her eyes almost made of pure electricity at this point, her blades almost unseeable. She plunged both of the blades into the back of the skeleton, the points sticking through the front of him. She held the blades there as a high pitched whine began to fill the air. It grew louder and louder, until it reached a pitch that couldn't be heard by human ears. Then all of a sudden, in a boom of thunder, the skeleton exploded. Skylar stood there, lowering her weapons as she looked at Ben's unmoving body. A tear slipped down her cheek. There was nothing she could do. There had always been rumors about Skylar, about how deadly she could be in battle, but the stories had always been just that, stories. After all, she'd never been on a successful quest, and her shy demeanor didn't really scream 'deadly warrior.' However, the way she'd just fought showed that maybe the stories hadn't been as made up as they'd seemed.
