one book a year for lit??? how. we did, uh, //counts// 14 books this year. lord of the flies, all my sons, frankenstein, consolation of philosophy, a tale of two cities, robinson cursoe, the pearl, the time machine, the screwtape letters, animal farm, til we have faces, romeo and juliet, fahrenheit 451, and the man who was thursday
plus books in theology like augustine's confessions Yeah! I didn't realize how unusual it was until people tell me how many books they usually read in a year for school. My English classes were heavily focused on grammar and sentence construction. It was my Lit classes that were more book focused but again they were usually the short stories and poems and epics like beowulf and stuff like that. oh we have a massive language arts workload. it included literature, grammar, writing, advanced communications, editing, and vocab. it probably makes up about 40% of our homework (the rest being divided amongst science, theology, history, latin, math, an an elective). i mean i am in the honors class so that might be part of it. but our LA cirriculum is fairly rigorous. we did full-blown research papers last year, and this year we wrote around thirteen essays (avg 2-3 pages) and a speech, plus the novel project and presentation. not including the weekly essays in government in the fall semester and theology papers. our grammar exercises are fairly light now since everyone in my class has got it down to a tee.
i think that's just part of being in a home-school co-op that is based in a classical cirriculum.

I did an online high school and we did do the latin roots, editing, and all that other stuff, but again it was mostly centered on grammar. Like we had a good four to five units of grammar and then the last five was everything else. whatt no robinson crusoe was awesome! Maybe bc i like survival scenarios but idk it was really fun for me to read

1. Favorite TV show? doctor who
2. If you could be any superhero, who would you choose? umm maybe captain america i guess
3. Top three best songs. breezeblocks by alt-j, arsonist's lullabye by hozier, and aurelia by lanks
4. Has anyone ever invited you to attend their church service? If so, did you go, and what did you think? i mean, i've been to other people's catholic church services (being a catholic), but the closest i've come to another religion's service are funerals and weddings.
5. Have you always been your current denomination? yep.
6. Pick a candle scent: evergreen, sandalwood, cinnamon, or vanilla? evergreen.
7. What's your greatest virtue? (Alternately, your greatest vice?) i think i'm an understanding person, but i tend to make snap judgements before i get to being understanding.
8. It's hot outside. Do you sleep with the fan on and a sheet, or fan off with no sheet? i sleep with no fan and a sheet because i'm constantly cold.
9. Do you have a favorite religious momento? (A necklace, picture, book, etc?) i have a necklace with a miraculous medal that my grandma got in lourdes and a st. joseph medal my dad bought for me on it.
10. Name as many Apostles as you can without looking them up. peter, james the greater, james the lesser, john, thomas, simon??, and that's it.
11. Traditional or modern Christian music during service/mass? traditional.
12. Favorite Bible book. john.
13. Are you a fan of established prayers (like the Our Father) or prefer to go free-style? How does your family say grace at meals? i free-style it normally, and we say the whole "bless us oh Lord..." with a couple of prayers to saints tacked on at the end.
14. Most annoying misconception of Christianity: that you can't be Christian and gay.
15. Three places you've always wanted to visit, and why: south korea, because some friends live there; ireland, because some family lives there; and spain, because i speak spanish well but have nowhere to use it.
16. Are you from a big family? If you have kids, how many kids would you prefer? i am from a very small family, and i'd like to have two or three.
17. What's a controversial opinion of yours regarding Christianity? the Church doesn't do a good enough job with being welcoming and civil to lgbt+ people and really needs to get to work on changing that.
18. Best media (book, show, etc) that has Christian undertones without meaning to. all i can think of are pieces of media that did it intentionally, so the lord of the rings trilogy.
19. Pixar or Dreamworks? pixar.
20. Is there a religious figure or saint that you look up to in particular/like to learn about? joan of arc is cool as heck.
21. Are most of your friends Christian? About what percentage? like maybe 50% of them are. the other 50% are a mixture of atheists, agnostics, and some hindus.
22. Truest Christian stereotype you've seen: the Overly Zealous Homeschooler.
23. What are your two favorite hobbies? playing piano and acting.
24. Favorite period in history? the renaissance.

okie dokie here's my answers because i can't resist answering them:
1. Favorite TV show? the 100. gritty survivalist show with moral ambiguity and tough questions? count me in.
2. If you could be any superhero, who would you choose? spider-man tbh. i like spiders and getting to climb buildings/shoot webs means some serious parkouring. also, peter's sassy sweetness is who i aspire to be
3. Top three best songs. Bleeding out by Imagine Dragons, Stitches by Shawn Mendes, and Novocaine by Fall Out Boy.
4. Has anyone ever invited you to attend their church service? If so, did you go, and what did you think? yep, i've been to both my best friend's churches. one was a non-denomination Bible church and it was pretty different from what im used to: a lot more casual (there was people drinking coffee during the service), with more modern music and general air of casual content. the other was a Presbyterian church which was closer to what i'm used to: there's quite a few similarities in structure and prayers. i idea of grape juice for communion was really foreign to me though, in both services lol
5. Have you always been your current denomination? yep, cradle Catholic
6. Pick a candle scent: evergreen, sandalwood, cinnamon, or vanilla? cinnamon. i love baking smells to death. in fact, there's a candle on my desk right now that's a conglomeration of baking spice scents and i sometimes rub the soft wax on my pulse points because i love it so much.
7. What's your greatest virtue? (Alternately, your greatest vice?) greatest vice is probably my impatience, mostly with myself but occasionally others. my greatest virtue is that i forgive easily.
8. It's hot outside. Do you sleep with the fan on and a sheet, or fan off with no sheet? fan on + sheet. im too scared of monsters biting my exposed legs.
9. Do you have a favorite religious momento? (A necklace, picture, book, etc?) there's a wooden cross my grandparents got my sister and i in jerusalem that i wear nearly daily. it's carved from olive wood and smells accordingly. i had a st. ambrose medallion too but i lost it :[
10. Name as many Apostles as you can without looking them up. uh uh john, peter, james i (jacob), james ii, judas/matthias, bartholomew, matthew... thats it. rip my reputation. i know there's the sons of zebedee somewhere. i looked it up and i forgot andrew, thaddaeus/jude, phillip, and thomas/didymus
11. Traditional or modern Christian music during service/mass? traditional. modern is great for on the radio or youth rallies but i just don't think it belongs in the mass.
12. Favorite Bible book. Luke or Esther
13. Are you a fan of established prayers (like the Our Father) or prefer to go free-style? How does your family say grace at meals? definitely more of an established prayer person. im not good at freestyling it. i do sometimes with mental prayer like before bed, but if it's out loud, then it's always established. we use the catholic table blessing, which is: "bless us our Lord and these thy gifts which we are about to receive from thy bounty through Christ our Lord, amen." we don't have to use it but that's what we always have.
14. Most annoying misconception of Christianity: "um leviticus says no shellfish/mixed fabric/etc so u shouldn't be doing that"
15. Three places you've always wanted to visit, and why: Ireland - so beautiful, and I want to know about my Irish heritage (even if it's less than 10%, most of the surviving stories of my ancestors are from the Irish side). Moscow - i really want to visit this city, it's supposed to be gorgeous and rich with history. plus, learning about my russian heritage. Germany - the upper rhine valley to be specific, it's literally dotted with castles and ruins everywhere (thanks, protestant principalities of the early renaissance)
16. Are you from a big family? If you have kids, how many kids would you prefer? yep, im the youngest of five with three older brothers and an older sister. i want a lot. like 8. maybe adopt one of them.
17. What's a controversial opinion of yours regarding Christianity? i mean everything since i'm catholic, but i guess less-obviously that most tattoos and piercings are sinful since it's desecrating the bodies God gave us
18. Best media (book, show, etc) that has Christian undertones without meaning to. oh um idk. Beyonders has some great tones but Brandon Mull might do that on purpose. maybe harry potter, now that i think about it
19. Pixar or Dreamworks? dreamworks
20. Is there a religious figure or saint that you look up to in particular/like to learn about? i love st. ambrose so much! he's my confirmation saint and the patron of lawyers, scholars, and students, so perfect for me. i enjoy reading his story. he was the one responsible for Augustine of Hippo's conversion.
21. Are most of your friends Christian? About what percentage? the majority, although that might not be my fault. i don't get out much and my only consistent means of socializing is with kids from my Catholic co-op. but yeah, all my close friends are. so i guess 100%?
22. Truest Christian stereotype you've seen: baptists love fried chicken potlucks
23. What are your two favorite hobbies? reading when i have a good book and lots of time-- i won't put it down. writing, or moreso all the creation that goes into it.
24. Favorite period in history? early 1800s urban OR late 1500s monarchies.
25. Are you more of a Pepe or Success Kid memer? What's your favorite meme? rare pepes are the only delicacy that will be served at my wedding. as for favorite meme, either rickrolling or none pizza left beef

1. Favorite TV show? I don't really watch TV. 2. If you could be any superhero, who would you choose? Does it have to be an already established superhero, or could I make up my own persona? For the former, um... Wonder Woman, I guess. For the latter, some sort of shapeshifter. Ask me about a name later. 3. Top three best songs. Can't name a top three. But my all time favorite is Bowie's "Life on Mars?" 4. Has anyone ever invited you to attend their church service? If so, did you go, and what did you think? Many, many times. Most are fine. My apostolic friend's was the most different and I couldn't get over what I thought were the unbiblical practices. Also, the sermon itself was like 15 minutes, and then there were 45 minutes of singing. So I was kind of peeved about that. 5. Have you always been your current denomination? Ehh, more or less... 6. Pick a candle scent: evergreen, sandalwood, cinnamon, or vanilla? Cinnamon. 7. What's your greatest virtue? (Alternately, your greatest vice?) I'm very merciful and don't hold grudges. Contrarily, I get angry very easily and I judge too quickly. 8. It's hot outside. Do you sleep with the fan on and a sheet, or fan off with no sheet? Fan on... even in the winter. 9. Do you have a favorite religious momento? (A necklace, picture, book, etc?) Nope. 10. Name as many Apostles as you can without looking them up. Peter, Both Jameses, Simon, John, Phillip, Thomas. 11. Traditional or modern Christian music during service/mass? A mix of both. 12. Favorite Bible book. Galatians or Romans. 13. Are you a fan of established prayers (like the Our Father) or prefer to go free-style? How does your family say grace at meals? I free-style myself but love reading written prayers. We don't really eat together as a family unless we're at a restaurant, and even then we usually say our own prayers individually. 14. Most annoying misconception of Christianity: Probably the Mosaic Law. But also that any drinking at all = sinful. 15. Three places you've always wanted to visit, and why: London, Ireland, Hawaii. They interest me. 16. Are you from a big family? If you have kids, how many kids would you prefer? There's four of us, so not big. Having kids is below "dying" on my to-do list. 17. What's a controversial opinion of yours regarding Christianity? "Christianity" is too broad a term. I'd have to narrow them down by denomination. But speaking strictly of conservative Southern Baptists (i.e., the environment in which I grew up), I don't believe baptizing infants is wrong (and any method of baptism is valid); I don't believe blessings are necessarily material; I'm sick and tired of Christian politics; I don't enjoy potlucks that much. 18. Best media (book, show, etc) that has Christian undertones without meaning to. Uh...? 19. Pixar or Dreamworks? Dreamworks. 20. Is there a religious figure or saint that you look up to in particular/like to learn about? Paul. 21. Are most of your friends Christian? About what percentage? Yeah. Most of them are. In fact, I only have one close friend who isn't a believer. 22. Truest Christian stereotype you've seen: Televangelists are mostly garbage. 23. What are your two favorite hobbies? Singing and writing. 24. Favorite period in history? Middle Ages & the Renaissance. 25. Are you more of a Pepe or Success Kid memer? What's your favorite meme? Neither. I love Old Face Magenta 1994.

1. Favorite TV show? The Walking Dead. I love morally questionable, survival, gritty stuff. Plus the characters are so real and the plot is always crazy and amazing.
2. If you could be any superhero, who would you choose? The Flash or Spiderman. Super speed has always been one of my favorite powers and then swinging from webs around New York at high speeds sounds pretty fun.
3. Top three best songs. Never ask me to pick. Too many to count.
4. Has anyone ever invited you to attend their church service? If so, did you go, and what did you think? Yes. I went and it was pretty good, but reason I was going was because it was a guy I liked who asked. Turned out he was a playboy type and was flirting with me while also pursuing another girl, so I have bad associations with that church now.
5. Have you always been your current denomination? Yeah.
6. Pick a candle scent: evergreen, sandalwood, cinnamon, or vanilla? Evergreen.
7. What's your greatest virtue? (Alternately, your greatest vice?) Empathy or dreams? idk Vice would be stubbornness.
8. It's hot outside. Do you sleep with the fan on and a sheet, or fan off with no sheet? Fan on with a sheet. Can't sleep without something covering me.
9. Do you have a favorite religious momento? (A necklace, picture, book, etc?) Maybe my purity ring? Or a specific Bible verse if that counts.
10. Name as many Apostles as you can without looking them up. NOOO IM BAD AT THIS Peter, Judas, Bartholomew, John.....am I already this bad? xD
11. Traditional or modern Christian music during service/mass? Modern mostly but some traditional.
12. Favorite Bible book. Proverbs.
13. Are you a fan of established prayers (like the Our Father) or prefer to go free-style? How does your family say grace at meals? Free-style since I think it's more personal. We usually thank God for our food and that's it XD
14. Most annoying misconception of Christianity: That we think we're perfect.
15. Three places you've always wanted to visit, and why: Italy because I'm Italian, Seattle because I wanna visit the Space Needle, and Britain because British people.
16. Are you from a big family? If you have kids, how many kids would you prefer? Not from a big family.
17. What's a controversial opinion of yours regarding Christianity? You mean controversial to other Christians? Or just in general? Cause in general obviously main topics like abortion and homosexuality.
18. Best media (book, show, etc) that has Christian undertones without meaning to. Harry Potter or Captain America xD
19. Pixar or Dreamworks? Dreamworks.
20. Is there a religious figure or saint that you look up to in particular/like to learn about? A lot of the Christian bands I listen to.
21. Are most of your friends Christian? About what percentage? Most of them yes. About 90%?
22. Truest Christian stereotype you've seen: Homeschool Christian.
23. What are your two favorite hobbies? Writing and playing video games.
24. Favorite period in history? Middle Ages.
25. Are you more of a Pepe or Success Kid memer? What's your favorite meme? Pepe lol. Favorite meme is the squidward dab.

1. Favorite TV show? I don't watch TV really, but when I do the Middle gives me the most laughs2. If you could be any superhero, who would you choose? Spiderman minus the super revealing suit.3. Top three best songs. Exposition - Takenobu, Masterpiece Part III - Marianas Trench, and Shots - Imagine Dragons4. Has anyone ever invited you to attend their church service? If so, did you go, and what did you think? I haven't been invited to a different church other than my own before.5. Have you always been your current denomination? Yes6. Pick a candle scent: evergreen, sandalwood, cinnamon, or vanilla? Evergreen7. What's your greatest virtue? (Alternately, your greatest vice?) Hope - Cowardice8. It's hot outside. Do you sleep with the fan on and a sheet, or fan off with no sheet? Fan on and a sheet9. Do you have a favorite religious momento? (A necklace, picture, book, etc?) A picture of Christ I have on my wall10. Name as many Apostles as you can without looking them up. James, Paul, Stephen, Mark, Mathew, Luke, John, Pres, President Nelson, Elder Oaks, Elder Holland, Elder Cook, Elder Bednar11. Traditional or modern Christian music during service/mass? Both. Some are from the 1800s and some are from the 80s-90s.12. Favorite Bible book. Job13. Are you a fan of established prayers (like the Our Father) or prefer to go free-style? How does your family say grace at meals? I try be free-style, though if it's midnight and I just want to go to bed a "thank you for my blessings you're awesome amen" might slip out... maybe even day after day 14. Most annoying misconception of Christianity: I can't think of any about Christianity in general, but I can think of a whole load of Mormon ones.15. Three places you've always wanted to visit, and why: Hungary (it's where my grandpa's from), Scotland (I've been there but I was super young and don't remember much, it's where my grandma's from), and Brasil (idk why it just looks like a cool country) 16. Are you from a big family? If you have kids, how many kids would you prefer? No, I have two siblings. If I were to have kids, I'd like to have 3 or 4.17. I don't really have any "opinions" so to speak that might be controversial, but not believing in the trinity would probably be a biggy. 18. Best media (book, show, etc) that has Christian undertones without meaning to. The Giver reminds me of a really key Mormon belief19. Pixar or Dreamworks? Old Dreamworks and new Pixar20. Is there a religious figure or saint that you look up to in particular/like to learn about? One of my church's latter-day prophets John Taylor. 21. Are most of your friends Christian? About what percentage? Back in high school, about 50%, now that I'm at a church college, practically 100% (basically because my school's in a tiny mormon town in the middle or nowhere so hey I can't help it )22. Truest Christian stereotype you've seen: Again, I struggle with understanding Christian stereotypes but I think mormons and the Amish get mixed up a lot, cause lots of people think we still live in pioneer clothing23. What are your two favorite hobbies? Listening to music and reading about world events24. Favorite period in history? Mine. It's nice ^^, but the 1800s are a close second. If it weren't for Joseph Smith I wouldn't have the gospel that I have today, which I am eternally grateful for.25. Are you more of a Pepe or Success Kid memer? What's your favorite meme? I have no idea what that all means

tori, if you think this is true, then now you are more self-aware and can watch yourself in the future. figuring this out is a good thing, rather than continuing on in ignorance for more years. apologize to your friends about this in a simple, calm way, and promise to be self-conscience of your actions in the future.
we all mistakes. we all have bad behavior.
although i'm not sure i believe it to be true I don't want it to be true! They certainly don't think it's true! I'm literally feeling so stressed right now for no good reason why did something set me off like this?! "we all mistakes" nice english, shad
take some deep breaths. read this sentence. go back and re-read it. watch your favorite asmr video and just focus on the sounds. you cannot think rationally about yourself if you're anxious. so focus on calming your mind down first, then we can talk about what may or may not be true, alrighty?
we gotta take a peek at those filing cabinents to see if there's any evidence to back up what you say, but we can't get in if the drawers are rattling around.
