Rusul sat up a bit, listening to Aevurico intently. "And to what end is this revolution? If you take the kingdom what will you do with it then?" He asked

"My main aim is to extend equal rights to all Gracelings within the kingdom. No longer will we be subjected to the whims over others or enslaved on one man's whims. I'll reveal the path we must take to arrive at this destination at a later time. It'd take far too long to explain and I'm not sure you would understand it. No offense meant as understanding would require knowledge of what the court of a noble is like." Aevurico replied before adding "I suppose you're also curious why I'm so confident I could secure the throne?"

"Because you have the knowledge of the court and the government, how things run. You worked for the king, close to him in the castle, so you should know exactly how to overthrow his kingdom. No I'm not that curious." Rusul answered for him. "I was just concerned, so many radical revolutionaries, at least that I've heard of from my homeland, liked to tear down whatever kingdom or ruler they disliked, but never offered anything to replace it. Within a few years those revolutions were undone and the same leadership was back in power. What or who do you plan to replace the king with and are you sure the changes you make will last?"

"As you said without a government to replace the former any revolution that takes place is bound to fail. The easiest thing to do would be to keep the current government. To do that I would either have to marry into the royal family and dispose of the King and the Princes or alternatively I could just destroy the Royal Family and marry into the house of a noble and then use that as a claim to legitimacy." Aevurico replied before also adding "Most of the Major Nobles would likely join the side of the King which would make it easy to strip them of their land afterwards. I can be somewhat sure that I can get the support of the Minor Nobles as many are eager to gain prestige and secure the stability of their Dynasty. All in all I would like to avoid having to kill anyone in the Royal Family. If I can force them into the Priesthood I will. If not bloodshed may be the only option."

"So you want to do this discretely? No all out war just put yourself in power. Seems smart the king and the nobles are much less likely to see it coming or know the intent. That's why you're taking the extra lengths for secrecy. But how are you going to marry yourself into the royal family or a court noble house if the the king recognizes you and probably wouldn't allow tht to happen?" Rusul was going off based on what Aevurico told him. He sometimes lost potential clients by how much he asked questions but he wanted his conscience to be clear after every job he did.

"The Queen is quite sympathetic to my cause. I haven't had any direct contact with her but I know she wouldn't be totally opposed to a Graceling acquiring the throne as she is one herself. If I can assassinate the King before he declares an heir the Kingdom would quickly come unraveled. The two Princes are quite different in temperament and ideals. I'm sure various factions would emerge to try and push the Princes into open conflict so they could benefit. With a little bit of sabotage it would be quite easy to coerce the Princes into open conflict. So long as the elder wins it would be quite easy to connive my way into court as he is also sympathetic to Gracelings. After that either orchestrate a scandal around him or assassinate him and from there it would be quite easy to obtain the throne." Aevurico replied.

"And you'll marry the queen yourself? That would definitely help the longevity as any children you would have would most likely be gracelings I supposed with both of you being gracelings. Future heirs would likely continue to treat gracelings well out of their own self-interests. I can see I could have many parts to play in that plan, including arranging for an 'accidental' demise for the princes at the opportune moments." Rusul said.

"Yes, though it would be preferable to marry the princess. Anyhow that's just all the essential information for now. The minor details will be discussed when needed." Aevurico finished. ((I don't really know where to take the conversation next. Any ideas? I've been creating a couple new characters and have been trying to really flesh them out and make ot so I can easily change some details so they can be used between multiple rps. I'm getting a bit exhausted lol.))

(Idk I was thinking Rusul would get started on scouting out for Gracelings now but if that means he and Aevurico aren't interacting anymore then idk)

((Here's your last post on the subject and then my response. I don't know how to do two quotes in the same post. Β―\_(γ)_/Β―)) I was JUST about to say I gotta post a starter for Hosa bc I forgot lmao) Hosa had cried until he couldn't cry anymore, now his mind and heart were numb. He trudged towards the chapel, gaze locked on the ground. He'd never really believed in a higher deity, but his parents had, and right now the chapel was the only place he had that still had a piece of them with it. Their house had burned down, nobody knew how, and neither of his parents had been able to escape. He could vividly remember the flames, although whether or not anyone had tried to save them was a blur. That was not what he'd expected to get home to. Having spent most of his time around them and barely anyone else, they had been the only people he'd ever felt a connection to, and now that they were gone, and so suddenly, he didn't know what to do. He glanced up when a large shadow fell over him, looking at the smooth wooden doors of the chapel. He pushed through and didn't bother knocking; the chapel was always open, or at least during the day, supposedly for poor souls who'd lost their way, or perhaps people like him. He wasn't sure there was a difference. It was empty, thankfully; he didn't feel like he belonged here at all, and wouldn't have been able to stand the judgmental gaze of a regular church-goer. When he reached the altar, he dropped to his knees, head bowed, eyes closed, teeth gritted, half from anger, half from pain. He wasn't praying. He wasn't even thinking, really. He just needed somewhere he could be in peace. Somewhere he could be alone. Somewhere he could say his last goodbyes. W h o o p s that was long. Pretty much none of my post's will be like that) Feb 12, 2018 20:49:18 GMT -6 Icestar said: Father Leo noticed the boy in the otherwise empty church, of course. He thought he recognized himβperhaps he had come here in the past, and grown since then, or perhaps Leo had merely seen him in town. Regardless, it was clear by his manner that he was not looking for any sort of interaction, at least not right now. But it was also evident, in the brief moment Leo glimpsed him when walking across the back of the church, that he was in great distress: his shoulders drawn together, completely unmoving. So Leo stayed close, taking care of business in and near the vestibule, just making sure he appeared available in case the boy needed somebody to lend an ear. Quite some time later, Leo passed back through the back of the main church and found that the boy had not moved at all. He paused then, for the briefest of moments, a frown light upon his face. As occurred frequently, Alvaro crossed his mind. The boy was doing chores outside at the moment. Leo knew that asking his assistance without knowing just what was troubling the boy wouldn't be wise, but he wished there was something he could do. As it was, though, he could only stay close and give the boy some privacy. He left as silently as he had come. ((The recognition at the beginning was under the assumption that Hosa bears some resemblance to one or both of his parents.))
