(Mason is a jerk but deserves love and Mia is going to make sure he gets love one day)
Two. So Mason would've been fifteen when she was born. That was young and Mia was even more impressed that he'd managed so well with her. "Oh, that's just amazing. I can't wait to meet her," Mia said with a wide smile. A little bit of the old Mia was coming out at the idea of seeing the toddler. "Just text me when I can come see her."
Mia opened it when Mason handed her the beer. She took a few drinks before replying to Mason. "I didn't mean to act surprised that you were. I just know plenty of teen fathers that didn't. I mean, some gave the kid up because they couldn't handle it. One of Jack's friends just didn't want anything to do with a child. I mean, I don't personally know any but Jack's friends, but I've heard of plenty. I'm just really glad you are involved in her life."
"'Yeah, Jack, I ditched you and Sophia on my birthday to go to the club with Mason where I scammed people and drank way too much and I plan on passing out Mason's and spending the night there.' That would be an absolutely terrible idea," she said with a laugh. "I think I might just tell him I'm sleeping over at Ash's house. He likes Jace and he doesn't have to know that Ash and I aren't that close. I would say Drake again, but then he'd freak out because Drake is a boy and also lives with you. I mean, other than that, I can't really think of where I would be that I couldn't come home," she said with a shake of her head. She hadn't slept anywhere besides her house in a long time.
"Wow. Somebody's full of himself," Mia said, reaching over to nudge him. She took a drink of her beer and her head went back on Mason's shoulder, enjoying the laziness of the day.
***
Jordan laughed. "Cool. I'll totally win points with this dinner," she said with a smile. She turned her eyes to the TV. "So what do you like to do for fun?" she asked curiously. She didn't know as much as she should about Drake, but whatever.
"So do I," she said with a laugh. "My cousin and I used to watch this all the time," she said. It was an older show and Ezra had loved it.
***
Chase pulled he cake out, cutting two large pieces and putting them on plates. It was a struggle with a cast covering his right hand, but he made it work.
"Yeah. It's a bit odd. I've never seen a high school with as many guy cheerleaders as us. Sports isn't our strongest thing. Football, basketball, and soccer are good. Everything else sucks," he explained.

((Aww. XD I'd like to see it happen.
When do you want to skip to the Last Scene? XD Like with the pool table and stuff.))
"Sure." Mason grinned. He did love Ari, and now he would get to show her off. "Adriane is a horrible person, but the one thing she is good at is making cute kids." Because Ariana was definitely the cutest thing ever.
"It's fine. People are usually surprised because it's me and apparently I don't seem like the type to be a good father." He had seen it a million times. Surprised he was a father, and then even more surprised that he was in her life. "Adriane wants out, though. So we're discussing her giving up rights, and then Ari will be all mine." And he would never have to talk to Adriane again.
"Ash is a good choice, then. She's Miss Popular with the fancy house, too. And Jace... Well, no one worries about Jace." He said with a laugh. Jace was the least threatening person that Mason had ever met.
"What can I say? I know what I'm good at." Mason replied, rather smug as he did so. He knew he was a good kisser.
--
Drake sighed. "Exercise. I get up in the morning and run. Go to school and practice basketball until class starts. On lunch, I might do something else. Then, I have track, football, basketball, and baseball practice. Not all on the same day, of course. And sometimes I volunteer to plan parties, which is fun."
He looked over at Jordan. "What do you do for fun?" Maybe these were the things they should have known before committing to a relationship.
"Really?" Drake smiled and looked back at the TV. "That's awesome. I bet everyone's watched this."
--
Ash watched him. She thought about offering to help, but Chase appeared to be managing. "Thanks," she said with a smile and took one of the plates.
"Well, that sucks. At least you guys don't have to play us and get destroyed." Westbrook was decent.

(Drake is gonna find love for Mason just not on purpose
And yeah we can skip. Do you want to start?)
***
"Wow. That's a lot," Jordan said. She considered herself fairly active and she definitely didn't think she could keep up with Drake's rigorous schedule. But he seemed to handle it well and she was impressed by that.
"I play softball for East Grove. That's really it for sports. You see, I have this list of dares and I'm working on completing it. When I'm not working on one of those, I'm usually finding different things to do. You know, anything exciting really."
"Everyone should watch it. It's a good show," Jordan commented. She turned her eyes back to the Tv.
***
Chase put the rest of the cake in the freezer. There were three pieces left for him and his family tonight. He'd made the cake to keep their spirits up as much as possible.
Chase laughed. "Yeah. How embarrassing would it be to get crushed by my old school?" he asked. Especially for Arlo. On the other hand, that would mean they'd be close enough for Chase and Ash to visit more frequently.

((Yes! Let's get this final Season 1 Scene done. >=3 And then all of the kids can age up a year. ;-; They're growing so fast.))
It had been a couple weeks since Mason had told Mia way too much about himself. Ariana, the reasons for him dropping out. And yet, he didn't regret telling her at all. It had been a wonderful feeling to be able to share all of that with someone that wasn't his brother.
And Mia had met Ariana because Blaze is assuming this would have happened and it's cool XD and from what he could tell, Mia had loved Ari as much as Ari had adored Mia. Adriane hadn't been particularly pleased and had jabbed at Mason, asking questions about his relationship with Mia. She seemed to think that they were dating, and Mason had just laughed it off and told her she was crazy.
Now, Ari was Adriane and Mason was at the club with Mia. They were hustling some people at pool once again. And it must have been the birthday luck or something, because Mason and Mia were going to win. Big. He could just feel it, and he was growing more and more antsy as the time passed. Just a couple more games and Mason would give Mia the cue for the two of them to swoop in and win it all.
With cigarette hanging from his mouth, Mason shot at another ball -- missing it by choice, although no one could tell that that was why he missed. He stepped back to stand beside Mia, his fingers nervously tapping against the pool stick while he watched one of the others take their turn.
--
"It's not too much. I'd like to take up a couple more sports. Like hockey." Drake had always had an interest in hockey, but the practices interfered with a few of his other practices. And Mason had lectured him saying that if he was in too many sports, his grades would drop. Ironic coming from Mason.
"Softball?" He instantly wanted to see her play, but was more distracted by her next comment. "Dares? That's the coolest thing I've ever heard. What are some of the dares? Can I come along to some of the dares?" Drake was definitely all for doing daring things.
--
Ash watched the cake disappear and she couldn't help but feel sad. She was going to miss Chase's cooking most of all. "This cake is, like, bittersweet." She told him as she took a bite. It was sweet and delicious and probably the best that she had had so far (well, from the two cakes she had had) and it made her sad to know that this was it. No more cake after today and in a few days, no more Chase... well, no more Chase in person.
Yeah, she definitely wanted to spend all of her remaining time with him.
"That is true. We would so crush you." She said with a smirk at him. "Imagine it... although you'd probably totally cheer us on and want us to win." Chase did like Westbrook better, after all.

(Woooooh And our new characters!!)
Mia had continued to hide her new life from her family, but it was exhausting. Every time she went to Mason's place, she was making up excuses. She always brought a change of clothes and had even started bringing shampoo and soap with her so she could grab a shower somewhere before heading home. She was running out of excuses and knew Jack was a little suspicious, but she didn't care. Her life had improved dramatically since she began hanging out with Mason.
She'd met his kid and fallen in love with her. She even began trying to hang out on weekends that Mason had Ari. Of course, she also came over every night that Mason was free to go to the club. Life had definitely began to look up at this point.
It was now her birthday and she was at the pool tables with Mason. She looked at their opponents, two more guys that had been suckered in with Mia's bad playing and Mason's challenge. She kept an eye on him, waiting for any cue to play better. She'd also improved her pool skills in the time she's been doing this, making her even more of a deadly player.
Which meant more money.
She'd smoked on the way to the club, but hadn't wanted to focus on that while she was playing pool. Instead, her fingers tapped nervously as she watched the other team play. She didn't want to lose at this point. She saw Mason and was tempted to ask for another cigarette, but passed on it. She was fine. She didn't need one to calm her nerves.
When their turn came to an end, Mia approached the table. She cast a glance at Mason, not looking for a sign to play better, but because she still got a bit nervous their victims would fight back. Seeing that she had Mason there with her comforted her.
She glanced at the balls before finding her target. Easy shot. She made it in and then shot at her next ball, swearing when it didn't make it in. She had meant to do that, of course, but her opponents would want to see that she was not pleased with the outcome.
She returned to Mason's side.
***
Jordan nodded. "Well, you do you," she said with a small shrug. She didn't know how Drake balance all of it, plus school, plus volunteering for dances. "You must be busy like all the time," she commented.
She nodded. "Yeah, I've been playing since elementary school and I've been on the East Grove team since freshman year," she said. She'd be perfectly happy to have Drake come to a game, but it's probably be safer for him to attend a game when they were playing Westbrook. Less chance of people getting mad at him for being there.
She shrugged. "I mean, yeah. You can come along, but I don't do them very often. It's not a lot of stuff that you can do around here and I have to travel a bit. But like skydiving, zip lining, white water rafting. There's, uh, camp in the mountains. There's also some pretty extreme ones," she said with a bit of a laugh.
***
Chase nodded. "I love eating my cake, but it sucks that this will be the last cake we share for a while. You know I'm gonna make a big cake just for the two of us next time I see you, right?" he asked with a small laugh. He leaned against the counter as he bit off a bite.
"What else do you want to do before I go?" he asked. He might as well let Ash have control the next few days. He just wanted to spend time with her and didn't care what they did.
He laughed. "You know I'd be in the Westbrook cheering section. I'd get to see all my old friends and you. Arlo would probably be busy playing, but then the two of us would bring all of you out for a nice big dinner," he said, wishing he'd be living close enough for that to be possible.

((Hope you don't mind me dropping this here, it's just a chance for me to shed some rust. Haven't actually rped in ages.))
So this town wasn’t so bad after all. Well her new home was the picture definition of mundane suburban living, what with its neatly kept lawns, flowerbeds with roses; lovingly tended. Two cars in the driveway and windows cleaned every other week, it was the perfect image of homely bliss. For Amelia it was a cage, being trapped within its beige walls, with scatter cushions and pointless knick-nacks on every surface. If she had to look at another dumb ornament of a pig she would scream. So whilst her home life was as mundane as it could get the rest of the town made up for it. Not only was it easy to buy cigarettes here, the clueless shop keep barely able to stop himself from drooling every time she walked in, but she had also stumbled on a small club that seemed to be the hub of social life out here. It was here that she spent most evenings, refusing to be home in time for the scheduled ‘family dinners’, and it was here that she now found herself. She was dressed simply, but in a way that accentuated her figure. Skin tight jeans and knee high boots with a heel that elevated her to a more respectable 5’6 and made her legs look shapely and long. A fitted halter-neck, flattered feminine curves, a deep grey that reflected in her eyes, cut so that only the smallest sliver of a tattoo hinted near her collarbone. Her hair lay over her left shoulder in its usual cascade of loose curls, raven black and glimmering in the hazy light. Tonight’s poor soul thought he had struck gold. She had been sitting at the bar, her chin slightly raised in that proud way she had, when he approached her. He was a good five years her senior, not that he needed to know that and had used the age old line ‘What’s a pretty girl like you doing in a place like this?’ Man she never got tired of that one. She accepted his offer of a drink and had spent most of the evening accepting offers from his group of friends too. Now she was perched on the edge of a table watching said chump obviously getting hustled at pool. It was amusing, in more than one regard. Firstly he was totally oblivious to what was happening, a few too many beers down and large on life. Secondly he actually thought he was going to win. She sat in silence, watching with her grey green eyes, one hand absently using the straw to stir her drink, rum and coke with more of the former than the latter just the way she liked it. All the while pondering whether this was going to end in a fight.

((Yes! I need to finish making my new characters. XD ... And by finish, I mean start.))
Mason figured that after this game, they should swoop in and win the next one. Hopefully in just the matter of a few minutes so they could walk away with all of the money on the table. It would easily be the biggest amount of money that they would get to walk away with, and that thought alone was making Mason nervous. But, glancing at Mia and reminding himself that he wasn't alone here was enough to calm him down.
Well, calm him down enough to play terribly.
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a girl that had become a regular. She was hot. That was about all that Mason remembered anymore and often, he would find his eyes wandering to her. But tonight, he knew that he needed to focus, although most nights he needed to focus on the game and not her. Plus, he was with Mia and it was her birthday. He couldn't walk away with a girl, or even flirt with her. Not tonight.
He stepped forward and took his next shot. One ball went in, but the next missed and instead, landed the cue ball right in the perfect position for the other guys to get their last ball in.
Then, just one more game and Mason and Mia could move on to the last game and win.
--
"I am busy all the time." Drake agreed, although he was going to try and make some time for Jordan whenever he could. But it would be hard. "But it's when I'm happiest. When I am just way too busy." He explained with a laugh, and it was true. Drake didn't ever want to slow down and be stuck with life.
"That's awesome and you've been playing since forever. That's even cooler!" It would be so cool to have done that and then be able to know some of the softball players since elementary. "Have you known some of them since elementary?" Drake asked. He simply had to know.
"Those are all really cool. And it's a cool idea. A list of dares... that's just so awesome." Drake laughed. Why didn't he have a list? He should make a list.
--
Ash sighed and hopped up on the counter to sit while she ate the cake. "I hope you do. I can't wait for that cake." She said, taking another bite of the cake. It was definitely bittersweet. "Mostly because that means I'll get to see you again." Ash already missed Chase.
"You could sit with our friends, and cheer me on. Since, y'know, I'd be down there doing the real cheering." Although if it was an option, she would probably skip out on the game to sit with Chase. Although if they were able to play Westbrook, then Ash and Chase wouldn't be long distance. "Dinner would be great, but expensive. There's a lot of us." She pointed out. "I would pay for mine."

(I gotta figure out moregirls to bring in to even up my genders XD)
Mia watched as their opponents knocked the last ball in and then the eight ball in, their money hungry eyes going to land on Mason and Mia. The victims through the scammers would be the victims tonight. They eagerly agreed to the last game and bent their heads together to talk as they set up for the next game.
Mia used this chance to turn her back to them so she could talk to Mason, knowing he'd stop her from saying anything stupid if they were approaching. "This it? Play real?" she asked, her fingers nervously tapping her leg as she eyed the pile of money that would soon be split between her and Mason.
She smiled a bit. "I'm feeling good about this one. I say afterwards we go Or and celebrate with a drink," she said. She'd already had a drink tonight but refused to have any more because she had to be completely focused on the game. Plus, Mason was driving so she didn't have to worry about that.
Though she was young, Mia had become very good at charming guys into buying them for her. She'd usually be able to score two or three from well meaning guys and then she could hand one over to Mason if he wanted it.
But now all she could think about was the game and the big pile of money that would help a lot.
She was going first so she approached the table and took whatever kind of shot Mason wanted her to take cause I'm 99% sure she's supposed to be playing good but idk.
***
Jordan shrugged. "That's fair, I guess. People like to do their own things. When I needed to escape my feelings, I just became reckless and stupid with my dares and so I guess you're better than me when it comes to distracting yourself," she said with a laugh, trying to make a joke of it. Ezra's death had been her hardest time in life.
Jordan shook her head. "Not really. There were a lot more softball players back then so I don't really remember who I was on a team with and I was also super busy with my cousin whenever he was around," she said. She went to practice and games but none of the team bonding stuff. She wanted to play with Ezra instead. She even first started playing softball because he was into baseball.
Jordan shrugged. "Believe it or not, i used to be really shy and quiet. That's why he gave me the list," she said, pulling it out of her pocket. A child had written the list of dares in crayon and the list was clearly old, signed by Ezra at the bottom.
***
Chase laughed. "It'll be the best cake you've ever eaten and you'll get to see me again, so I think it'll be worth the wait," he promised. He took a couple more bites of his cake, just enjoying his time with Ash before he'd be viciously ripped away from her.
"I would be paying more attention to you than the actual game," Chase promised. He knew Ash would rock the whole cheering thing. She always did. Then when she said dinner was expensive, he snorted. "You think I care? My parents are taking me away from here, where I'm happy, and shoving me back somewhere I don't want to be. They can totally buy me and my friends dinner."
And they wouldn't even know. They didn't look at their credit card bill. They just paid it.

((Same. XD))
"Yep. Let's play good and get out of here." Mason agreed. He also felt good about this and was sure that in just a few rounds, he and Mia would be walking out with that huge pile of cash. He knew where his portion was going after they bought some drinks. It was all going towards Ariana's college fund.
He nodded his head in agreement. "We'll definitely drink. Don't you worry." Mason was definitely up for drinking, as he almost always was. And once they wiped the floor with these guys and left them speechless, Mason was going to be up for drinking even more. Maybe even make a toast to them.
Mason had for once not had any drinks. Instead, he had wanted to stay focused the entire night and maybe do shots later. Something to really celebrate the night and end Mia's birthday, which he hoped she was enjoying and having a wonderful time with him.
He watched as she took that good shot, which left the other guys speechless. One of them went, getting one of their balls in before missing the next one. Mason stepped forward and got one of theirs in, and then a second one, before missing. He stepped back beside Mia to watch the game play out.
--
Drake was a little taken aback by her words. Was she also trying to distract herself from her feelings? "What feelings were you trying to escape? I mean, if you don't want to share, that's fine. But if you ever want to talk about it, I'm here." He was a good listener if you could get him to sit still.
"Well, that kind of sucks. But I guess at least you have your cousin, and any other friends." Well, there went that idea of having friends forever on the softball team, but at least Jordan had other friends. And they had been nice -- at least the ones that Drake had met.
He peered over her shoulder to look at the ancient list. "That's actually pretty cool. So, he gave you the list so you could do crazy things?" It was hard for Drake to imagine Jordan as ever being shy and quiet, especially after seeing how she had punched Kyle.
--
Ash nodded her head in agreement. "But I think I'll enjoy seeing you more than the cake. No matter how good it is." She knew that was true. She would miss being away from Chase, and seeing him would be better than any cake he could make. Although she did still want that cake.
She blushed a bit at that. "Really? I wouldn't be doing much. The cheerleaders do a lot of gossiping at games." Although they did still cheer -- just not as much as they gossiped about whatever interesting things came to their mind. "That's a good point. I'm going to get the most expensive thing on the menu."

"Can't wait," Mia muttered. When her shot went in, she glanced at Mason with a smile. She was ready for this. Her eyes were on the money and she couldn't wait to be holding it in her hands. She knew some of their winnings would go to drinks. It was the only way to properly end a night as great as this one.
Mia smiled when he agreed. "Yeah, I'm definitely gonna need your couch tonight. Or Drake's bed. Whichever you want to offer up," she said, her fingers tapping nervously against her leg as she watched the game take place.
Mia looked over the table and found her shot. She knocked in one ball. Another. Another. All that was left for them was the eight ball. She called her pocket, but watched as she missed.
She glared at their opponents, convinced one of them had distracted her when she took her shot. But she returned to Mason's side and watched them take their shot.
***
Jordan shrugged. She hesitated for a few seconds. "I'm pretty much fine by now. Sometimes I still think about him. When Kyle was giving me trouble, I almost went back to being an idiot, but the main problem was when I was 14 and my cousin died. He was my best friend and now I refuse to drink because a drunk driver killed him. That's why I was getting so annoyed with Kyle when he was trying to get me to drink at the dance. That's why I didn't go to the party when he..." she didn't finish, but figured Drake could fill in the blank. The one where Kyle cheated on her. She hadn't been sure about sharing this with him, just cause it would dampen the mood. It's not like it was some huge secret. Lots of people knew. It was just hard for her to talk about occasionally.
Jordan nodded. "Yeah. Hannah is on the softball team with me. She's probably my best friend," she said. Ethan only became friends with her when he started dating Hannah, but Jordan considered him one of her best friends too.
Jordan laughed. "He wanted me to get out of my shell. I think it worked well," she said, a small smile on her face as she folded the list back up and put it in her pocket.
***
Chase laughed. "And there's nothing in Westbrook that I'll miss more than you," he promised. He turned to look at her, his eyes sparkling. He was so glad Brittany had forced them into admitting their feelings to each other.
Chase nodded. "Get yourself a nice dessert too. Maybe we could get a couple appetizers. My parents have the money to spare and they deserve it," he said with a shrug. He was normally responsible with their money, but now he doesn't care.

Mason was overly thrilled as he watched ball after ball go in. Once she came back to stand next to him, Mason couldn't help but smile at her. "After that, you can sleep in my bed." He joked. Mason would not be sharing his bed with Mia, in all honesty. He liked sleeping alone... or tonight, with Drake.
He watched as they took their shot, and missed. They were upset -- that much was obvious -- but Mason didn't care. Him and Mia were about to walk away with all the money that they had spent gathering from these people. It was the biggest pool yet. He knew it.
It was his turn, and the cue ball had lined up almost perfectly with the eight ball. That was all that stood between him and Mia and winning. He lined up his shot, took in a deep breath (as deep as he could given the cigarette still in his mouth, anyway), and took the shot.
And the eight ball went in.
Thrilled, he grinned and turned back to Mia. "We did it!"
--
It all seemed to finally make sense, and Drake's eyes widened. "Oh... wow... I'm sorry to hear about that." He knew some people were a little hostile when it came to apologizing for something like this, but he hoped Jordan wouldn't be like those people. It was sad, and Drake wanted to offer her his hospitality... even if it was a few years later. "I don't drink, either. I don't blame you for not. It's not good."
"Well that's good. I liked Hannah. She is best friend worthy." Drake said. He was glad that at least Jordan's best friend liked him. It was the first hoop that any new couples had to go through. Get the best friends to approve, then the parents, and so on and so forth.
"Definitely. If you hadn't gotten out of your shell, you wouldn't have met me!" Well, probably. Everything else might have gone the same, but Jordan would have been way too shy to like Drake.
--
"I would hope not. I mean, there's a cool beach and some nice ice cream places, but I am definitely the best part of Westbrook." She said, jokingly, of course.
Ash laughed. "Definitely. We'll order so much food just as a 'Ha, shouldn't have taken Chase and Arlo away from us' kind of thing." She was ready to do so. Plus, she loved getting a lot of food.

Mia laughed. "Ooooh, I'm making my way up in the world. Next thing you know, I'll be able to take both of your beds," she teased. It was enough that Mason would give her Drake's bed for the night. She would never expect him to give up his own bed. And sharing a bed with Mason (or Drake) was just an odd idea.
Mia let Mason approach the table, though she gripped her pool stick hard enough that her knuckles turned white. She couldn't watch, but she couldn't look away either. It would be so easy for Mason to mess up and lose the game.
She just needed to trust him.
When the eight ball went in, she shouted in joy and ran over to hug him. She squeezed him tightly, laughing. "We did it," she agreed.
Their opponents walked away, clearly angry by what Mason and Mia had done. Mia collected their money and tucked it away. After getting their drinks she'd count it up and let Mason divide it between the two of them.
This was definitely the best birthday ever.

Jordan shrugged once more when Drake apologized. She didn't care for apologies, but knew most people were doing it with good intentions. "I've come to accept it," she said with a shrug. "Well, not accept it. But I've learned to live with it. I've learned that Ezra wouldn't want me to put myself in danger to escape the pain of losing him and I've accepted that part," she explained. She wasn't able to talk about his death for a long time, and she was proud of herself now. "Thanks anyway."
Jordan nodded. "I just don't want to hurt someone the way that person hurt me," she said.
Jordan laughed. "Thanks. She'll be glad to hear that. She and Ethan are both pretty big fans of you. Standing up to Kyle definitely earned you a couple points with East Grove kids that don't like him. We exist, but we're rare," she joked.
"I might've met you," Jordan pointed out. "But I probably wouldn't have liked you in this way and if I had, I wouldn't do anything about it," she said. "I wouldn't have gone to the dance, I wouldn't have dated Kyle, I wouldn't have punched Kyle. I definitely wouldn't be sitting on your bed with you and Mr. Duck," she pointed out.

"You are," he said with a laugh. "And just take my word that I'm the best part of Calbury. We don't even have a beach," he said. "Well, there's a little pond behind Roger Calvert's house, but it was not safe to swim in," he joked.
"We will. Well order enough to send everyone back to Westbrook with leftovers," he said. He shook his head. "Why don't we do that? For real? You and I can go out to dinner before I leave. Somewhere nice. Get an appetizer and dessert and my parents will pay," he suggested with a wicked smile

Should I post my new characters or on the new page and want to know what clique my characters are apart of?) ((The new page hasn't been created yet, but yeah, I would. XD I probably won't add anyone until we switch over, since I'm hoping to get to Season 2 in a couple days.))

Mason sighed in relief when it was all said and done. They had won, and he couldn't have been happier. He dropped the pool stick, picking up Mia and hugging her back, even spinning her in a circle from happiness. Who knew how much money that would be, and how much it would help.
And then, Mason made a horrible mistake.
In his excitement, Mason set Mia back down and without really thinking about it, he kissed her again. Adrenaline was still pumping through him until then, in which case he quickly let go and ended the kiss before stepping back, feeling instantly -- and it was surprise coming from Mason -- uncomfortable.

Drake listened, nodding his head in understanding. "That's... good. That you've learned to live with it. I've always wondered why people say that you get over the loss of your loved ones." Of course, he had never lost anyone important, so he wouldn't understand that feeling, anyway. "It just seems crazy to me that you would be able to eventually forget it or something... Anyway, you're welcome, I guess."
He was beaming with pride. "They're fans of me? I feel so popular. Maybe I should transfer to East Grove and take over the school." Okay, maybe a horrible idea.
Drake looked towards Mr. Duck. "Well now that's just a sad thought. I love Mr. Duck already and to imagine a world without him..." Was he tearing up a bit? No, definitely not... of course not... maybe. Clearing his throat, he looked back towards Jordan. "I'm glad because I'm so glad I met you."
--
Ash looked horrified. "There's towns that don't have beaches?" She asked, her voice a hushed whisper of disbelief. "Is that even... legal?" It seemed wrong.
"Well, I kind of wanted your parents to like me if I ever met them, but... I guess why not? Let's do it. Fancy dinner before you leave." It would be the last good memory Ash would have with Chase, probably. But she wouldn't let that sour thought ruin the night for her. She needed to have good times with Chase, after all.

{Hey guys! I don't have time to respond to anything (but it looks like you guys skipped) but after like, a month of waiting, I finally finished my drawing of Kris! It's really bad and I was too lazy to draw a background but have this. The image is unfortunately small but it exists!
Really sorry about being absent again >.< I only have maybe twenty more minutes of free time so I have to go again}
