“Super sure. We’re family! We shouldn’t hide stuff, right?” Eveningkit nodded firmly, taking the lead as he quietly slipped towards a less crowded spot in camp to sneak out from. Leafblaze paused, eyeing Thunderheart as she swallowed and replied. “I...Surely you know, how much I love you, and our kits. But surely you must also have seen by now that the contentment I had hoped to feel again back in Sunclan...I cannot feel it the same. Oh Thunderheart, she haunts my dreams and scars my pelt, and I have to hide why I bleed all over again. And out there?” She looked towards the twolegplace. “There are no medicine cats or stable codes or kin or clans to protect the cats in need. There is something there that...that I realized is my true purpose. I cannot undo the past, and no matter the clan’s words, I know I can never erase what I’ve done. Thunderheart, nothing destroys me more than to have to choose...” Thunderheart’s chest swelled with emotion. “Then don’t. Don’t choose. Just wait a little longer. You don’t have to decide right now. You should just think a little longer.” He began to stammer, immediately regretting suggesting them taking a walk. Wrenkit scampered after his littermates, slipping out of camp quietly. “I-I smell momma! We can follow them!” He squealed in excitement. For the first time since her youth, Leafblaze felt her voice choke with emotion and pain, her eyes betraying her feelings clearer than ever before. “Oh Thunderheart, if I stay any longer I will only hurt you more. I will only grow more and more frantic in worry of the cats I left leaderless. But above all, I will be prolonging the pain our kits will feel. I don’t want to choose but I have to, and I have to do what is right. I-I know, you will hate me, and our kits will hate me, but I-I...” She closed her eyes, head falling as she tore at the grass. Eveningkit nodded and slipped as quietly as he could after the scents, Jadekit hot on his heels. He paused as he began to hear the voices of his mother and father.

Wrenkit was hot on his siblings’ tails, skidding to a halt beneath some thorny bracken. He listened intently. Thunderheart pressed his forehead against Leafblaze’s, digging his claws into the soft soil. “Let me come with you. I love you. We’ll bring the kits, raise them outside of the clan. We can do it.” Leafblaze felt him against her, and she relished in the comfort of it. But her chest ached painfully. She breathed deeply. “Thunderheart, I cannot ask that of you, of our kits. The clan still trusts you, the kits have plenty of kin, and Yewberry’s love and support from all of his kits. Daisystep as well, and Emberstar and all the others. Riverbird and Sootflame and Silverdusk. Out there, they could be lost or taken by twolegs, if they got sick they would not have three medicine cats to care for them. And you, Thunderheart. You have such a bright future, such strong possibilities to be the greatest you can be. Sunclan has always needed you more than me. And I will not be far, I am only a twoleg-fence away.”

Thunderheart hung his head low for a few long moments. Wrenkit wiggled closer, finally able to make out the words of his father. He pricked his oversized ears and listened intently. “Oh, how I love you, Leafblaze, and I hate that you’re right about this...When do you plan to leave us?” Thunderheart meowed, regaining his composure. Wrenkit’s ears flattened as he looked wide-eyed to his siblings. “Momma’s leaving.” (How about one of the kits tries following her back to the wanderers?) “W-what?!” Jadekit gasped in shock, her eyes brimming with refusal and denial. Eveningkit seemed to gape with confusion, not wanting his mother to leave. “I’m not sure, sometime soon though, the kits are older now and can-...” Leafblaze cut off, eyes wide with both shock and stress when she both scented and heard their kits nearby. She looked wide eyed at Thunderheart.

(Sure! Which kit should it be? Wren perhaps?) (I’m down for whoever! I guess wren makes sense so we can both rp xD) Thunderheart’s eyes widened slightly, more in sadness than in shock as the breeze changed direction. “Wrenkit, Eveningkit, Jadekit.” He meowed gently, “Come out.” Wrenkit looked to his siblings for guidance.

Jadekit was more emotional, bounding out and squealing out. “Are you really leaving?! Why?! Do you not want us anymore?!” She cried, breaking Leafblaze’s heart. “No. No no, Jadekit, never. I always, always love you with all of my heart. But...I have a job that only I can do, cats only I can help. I’ve done bad things, and I don’t want you to feel ashamed because of me. Above all, Sunclan will love you and keep you safe, and you have so much family who will care for you.” Leafblaze tried to explain, hard to keep her voice from breaking.

Eveningkit seemed silently resigned, sniffing quietly. He understood what was happening and why, faster than Jadekit, who pulled away from her mother and stormed to Thunderheart’s side, crying to herself.

Scarletcloud blinked at Solarpaw. "Never underestimate your enemy," she warned. "We are all trained in battle skills, but that does not mean that you will automatically win in a fight. Battles are hard, they are not fun. If you focus and train hard, you will become an excellent fighter and you will stand a good chance at winning in a fight, but it isn't guaranteed." She shivered as she remembered the battle with Viper and his rogues, and how she had nearly died from her wounds afterwards. "And even if you do win, you can still be seriously hurt." Iciclepaw stared at Scarletcloud with wide eyes as she listened to the warrior talk. Rabbitfrost glanced at his apprentice and touched him lightly on the shoulder with his tail in a comforting gesture. "Don't worry though. None of you are ready to go into battle yet, so for right now let's just focus on touring the territory." As he spoke, they padded out of the trees to see the large boulders ahead of him. "These are the basking boulders. They are a good place for sunning yourself, and they are also a good source of prey." Solarpaw scowled lightly, but did not interrupt her mentor. She tried not to let the words frighten her, pulling on a brave face as she decided. “Don’t worry! I’ll work super hard. I’m not afraid of Moonclan.” She decided. Finchflight rested his tail on Iciclepaw’s shoulder as he promised. “I’ll show you plenty of powerful moves as we progress in training.” Kestrelpaw seemed tense from the talk of battle, but the introduction of the territory lit his interests. He carefully approached the boulders, sniffing quickly and carefully. His eyes darted about for any dangers. Scarletcloud purred and touched her nose to her apprentice's ear. "I'm sure you will work hard," she mewed. "But keep in mind that it's okay to be scared sometimes. There is no shame in fear. I get scared before going into battles." Iciclepaw purred and nodded. "Awesome! I'm gonna be the best!" Rabbitfrost touched his tail to his apprentice's shoulder gently, noticing how tense he was about the talk of battle. He took a mental note to remember that he seemed keen on learning and that seemed to ease his anxiety a little bit. "I want each of you to taste the air and tell me what you smell."

(Yeah, Slitherfoot knows Moss pretty well, so I think she'll notice the animosity, but she'll probably ignore it and let them sort it out. :3) Slitherfoot looked around for Mosspool at Jasminepaw's question - she had hoped that her friend would go with them on the apprentice's first day of training, since she planned on giving Mosspool training responsibilities as well - But she saw the black she-cat's tail as she slipped into the medicine den. Good idea. She could stay and watch over the clan just in case. She gazed back to the new apprentice, the short medicine cat nodding. "Just like your littermates, you will need to know the territory too. I will show you around, and we can look for herbs while we are out." She meowed, flicking her tail for Jasminepaw to follow her. Webwhisker listened to Leafblaze and Rowanbranch speak, feeling slightly uncomfortable at watching two cats she was so close to deal with the pain of moons before. She relaxed when their conversation drew to a close, and after a moment of hesitation, she pressed her nose to her aunt's shoulder. "It's mutual, Leafblaze." She purred. Vulturesight had watched the newly named warriors from the corner of the crowd, and he supposed he ought to give his congratulations to Gingersplash... And the others. The skinny gray tom slowly padded to the small group, moving to stand a tail length from Gingersplash. "So you made it." He commented, not being able to help a little bit of snark. "Congratulations." Jasminepaw nodded, listening carefully to everything her mentor said. She was determined to be the best medicine cat she could be. She noticed Mosspool walking away and drooped a little for a moment, but she forced herself to perk up again as she followed her mentor. Rowanbranch touched his nose to Webwhisker's ear lightly, purring.

( Moss Sure we can do something with Pebble! I feel like Pebble and Bubble would probably be made warriors together, if that's okay with you. And I might throw Dew and Copper in with that group. But we'll think about that later. I definitely think it's a good idea for Pebble to do something significant before being made a warrior, especially since she is the daughter of a rogue and it's possible the Clan may not trust her as much, so it would be important for her to do something to prove herself to the Clan)

She’s gonna forget me!” She hissed quietly.

They're pretty common in our territory." He paused and took another deep breath. "Iciclepaw, you're right, too. There are lots of voles that live on the basking boulders, and that yucky smell is fox. It's stale, though, so it's not here anymore."

Iciclepaw made sure she stored each scent in her memory along with the name of what she was scenting. She wanted to be sure she could identify these scents again next time she smelled them. Thrush... Vulturesight's eyes narrowed, but for once it wasn't vaguely hostile, but actually somewhat friendly. "Hm, but you won't ever beat me with my level of foresight. I am always thinking ahead." He meowed. “Oh that makes two of us.” Gingersplash lifted her muzzle, voice riddled with knowing yet hidden intent. She padded towards the older tom and gave a flick of her tail. “Now I can go on patrol or hunts with you when I please.” Vulturesight's ears perked slightly at her comment. When she pleased? Was that a threat, or a compliment? If it was a threat... Well, he tried not to overthink that potential. Even though he knew he would be likely that very night while he was trying to fall asleep. "I hope you won't be a snitch, then." He joked, but he surprised himself by feeling vaguely genuine about that hope. He wasn't doing anything wrong, really. But every moment he felt anxious over what others might say. He gave himself a small shake as though to brush off his own nerves.

Maybe soon, once their vigil was over, she could begin that conversation. "I'm glad I'll be sitting vigil with you," She purred, touching her nose to his cheek.

He nodded and admitted. “I-I hope I can become stronger.” “Yes.” Finchflight nodded. “Fresh scents are very strong and travel far on the wind. Stale scents are fainter and muskier, full of more decay and fading on the breeze.” He explained to his apprentice.

Vulturesight's ears perked slightly at her comment. “A snitch? Why? Something you hiding?” Gingersplash asked boldly, her eyes flashing with question and faint amusement, intreauged by the strange warrior more so than most. Vulturesight's eyes widened. "Well - No!" He quickly meowed, far to defensively for his own good. He realized this and tried to calm himself down before adding, much more calmly, "But I do like my privacy nonetheless, I'm sure you understand."

Thunderheart crouched and nuzzled Jadekit, “There, there. It’s not as bad as you think. Momma will still be close.” Wrenkit nuzzled Leafblaze’s chest, whimpering. “Will we ever get to see you?” “I’m sure you will seem me plenty.” Leafblaze croaked, watching Jadekit miserably, as she spoke to her son. She drooped, fur heating up with shame. She swallowed. “I need to tell the clan...” Jadekit gave a sniffle and pressed into Thunderheart’s legs. “I don’t want her to go! She’s gonna forget me!” She hissed quietly. Thunderheart’s chest pained, full of emotion. “She will never forget you. Your momma just needs to go take care of some cats for a while. Don’t forget, I’ll be here, along with your aunts and uncles, and we’ll still get to see her now and then.”

I suppose you’re just very fun to mess around with.”

He knew his mother loved him and his siblings. Jadekit would take a while to accept it, he knew. Eveningkit moved to press close to his mother, mewing quietly. “I’m gonna miss you...” Leafblaze curled down to pull her sons close, too pained to say anything more. She relished the closeness she knew she would have to give up. She would never love any others more than her kits, or her mate. She looked up at him. “And you...it’s...it’s okay if you take another mate, when I go. I will not force you to stay lonely for my sake. But...but I will always love you and only you.”

(Oh my god the interaction between Leafblaze, Thunderheart, and the kits is actually breaking my heart I can't stand it. )
