Webwhisker liked a challenge when she heard one. Holding her head high, the gray she-cat meowed, "I bet I can be that, and stay the most focused." Silverfrost shook his head, deciding not to comment on their competition. “Oh yes?” Gingersplash turned to look at Webwhisker, eyes flashing with competition. She lashed her tail as she mewed. “First cat to fumble during the vigil has to change the other’s nest.” She decided.

Webwhisker stood to face Gingersplash and prodded her with a paw, her apprentice energy not gone in the slightest. "Deal! I hope you like cleaning out old moss!" She growled playfully, her tail held high. She wondered if maybe she could convince one of her brothers to sneak out of the warriors' den and try to distract Gingersplash...

(Ooooh Moss I like that idea!! I also kinda like the idea of there being animosity between Moss and Jasmine but Slitherfoot being like, completely oblivious to it, or at least like ignoring it to let them work it out between themselves. I feel like there's so much we could do with this to be honest.) Rowanbranch purred and looked back and forth between Gingersplash and Webwhisker, rolling his eyes a little. He glanced at Silverfrost. He had no interest in participating in a silly competition; they were warriors now, and it was time to start acting like it. Dewpaw watched his siblings joking around with Webwhisker and backed away a little, suddenly feeling a little left out. He shook his head, trying to remain optimistic. This was an important day for them, and he didn't want to ruin it. He was disappointed that he wouldn't get to sit vigil with his brothers and sister though. Jasminepaw bounced excitedly in front of Slitherfoot. "What are we doing first?" She asked eagerly. Scarletcloud glanced down at Solarpaw. "Are you ready to take a tour of the territory?" She asked. Rabbitfrost flicked his tail. "We can go whenever you're ready, Kestrelpaw." Iciclepaw skipped around Finchflight excitedly. "When can we leave? I want to see everything!" Lynxtail watched his kit with their new mentors, brushing his pelt against Rustlefoot's. He let out a purr. "Emberstar picked good mentors for them," he meowed. "Especially for Kestrelpaw. I think Rabbitfrost will be able to help him come out of his shell at his own pace." He touched his nose to Rustlefoot's ear.

Leafblaze found herself padding towards the new warriors, eyes on Rowanbranch mostly. Her chest ached lightly, but she was happy that her former apprentice had come so far. She blinked, pausing before them as she spoke. “Congratulations. You all will be grand warriors.” “I wanna be a warrior!” Eveningkit called up, scampering towards the new warriors with bright eyes. Jadekit bounded past him to go right up to them, exclaiming. “Cool names! I can’t wait to get one of my own!” “Of course I’m ready! I was born ready!” Solarpaw puffed her chest, looking over as Kestrelpaw shuffled. “Y-yes...I am good to go too.” “Then let’s not waste any time!” Finchflight chuckled deeply, turning to look at Rabbitfrost. “Senior warriors should lead this kind of patrol, yes?” He teased.

Wrenkit bounded after his siblings, “I-I wanna be a warrior too!” He stammered as he scampered behind them. Thunderheart padded to Leafblaze, taking a seat next to her as he pressed his shoulder to hers. “They’re growing so fast.” Daisystep’s chest swelled in pride as she watched Gingersplash, swishing her tail happily. Pebblepaw watched the new warriors, unable to contain her excitement for when she would receive her warrior name. Leafblaze gave her mate a light brush of her fur against his, showing her care in her more reserved way. She nodded once, unsure and still guilty as she looked at Rowanbranch. She mewed to Thunderheart. “They’ll be apprentices in no time...” There was a sliver of heaviness in her voice.

Rowanbranch looked down at the kits and touched each one on the head with his nose. “It’ll be your turn soon enough!” He purred. He glanced at Leafblaze and dipped his head slightly to her. “Thank you, Leafblaze...” He shuffled his paws awkwardly, unsure how to respond to his former mentor.
Scarletcloud purred at Finchflight and Rabbitfrost, dipping her head for Rabbitfrost to take the lead.
Rabbitfrost swatted Finchflight over the ear playfully, claws sheathed. “You know I’ve never cared about that. We’re all warriors and we’re all mentors. That makes us all equals.” He purred in amusement, looking down at the apprentices, and waved his tail as he lead the way to the camp entrance. “Let’s go.” He couldn’t help feeling as excited as if he were a new apprentice. He may be the most senior warrior in the Clan, but he was still young at heart.
Iciclepaw glanced at Solarpaw. “Last one out of camp is a mouse!” She yowled, racing toward the entrance excitedly.

We’ll see as much as we can, but we stick together.” “Aww, but I wanna run through as much as I can!” Solarpaw complained.

She blinked at the young warrior. “Don’t make the mistakes I did...please.” Solarpaw sighed, but did not argue. “Alright then. You gotta promise though, that it’ll be real fun!” Kestrelpaw was looking around carefully, more focused on the actual purpose of the trip. He was tense, but overall gently curious. He scented new things, and kept them in his memory. He mewed quietly. “What is the first stop?”

Maybe head toward the basking boulders and then work our way around.” Iciclepaw bounced in excitement. “Are we going to meet enemy warriors?” She asked excitedly. “Will we see MoonClan cats? I heard they’re the worst!”

If you focus and train hard, you will become an excellent fighter and you will stand a good chance at winning in a fight, but it isn't guaranteed." She shivered as she remembered the battle with Viper and his rogues, and how she had nearly died from her wounds afterwards. "And even if you do win, you can still be seriously hurt." Iciclepaw stared at Scarletcloud with wide eyes as she listened to the warrior talk. Rabbitfrost glanced at his apprentice and touched him lightly on the shoulder with his tail in a comforting gesture. "Don't worry though. None of you are ready to go into battle yet, so for right now let's just focus on touring the territory." As he spoke, they padded out of the trees to see the large boulders ahead of him. "These are the basking boulders. They are a good place for sunning yourself, and they are also a good source of prey."

Mosspool turned and, without a word, padded towards and into the medicine cat den, inhaling deeply. She opened her mouth as she savored the herbal air of the small den. Small den. This den was much too small for 3 medicine cats. Mosspool’s tail lashed once as she shook the thought away and sought to organizing the fresh herbs into their places. Thunderheart’s chest pained slightly as he watched their kits scamper around camp. How long would it take for Leafblaze to decide where her loyalties lied? Finchflight rested his tail on Iciclepaw’s shoulder as he promised. “I’ll show you plenty of powerful moves as we progress in training.” Kestrelpaw seemed tense from the talk of battle, but the introduction of the territory lit his interests. He carefully approached the boulders, sniffing quickly and carefully. His eyes darted about for any dangers.

She knew Thunderheart as deeply as she could, and she hated knowing the pain she could cause him. But she had to make a choice, and she knew her kits would be happier here, with a good father and good clan cats with clean hearts and paws. They would never have to be ashamed of having a Dark Forest trained mother. She looked at Thunderheart, finally speaking out with a shaky yet honest mew. “Thunderheart...I...I need to decide, and choose what I feel in my heart. I want to speak with you first, before I decide in front of the clan.”

(Yeah, Slitherfoot knows Moss pretty well, so I think she'll notice the animosity, but she'll probably ignore it and let them sort it out. :3)
Slitherfoot looked around for Mosspool at Jasminepaw's question - she had hoped that her friend would go with them on the apprentice's first day of training, since she planned on giving Mosspool training responsibilities as well - But she saw the black she-cat's tail as she slipped into the medicine den. Good idea. She could stay and watch over the clan just in case. She gazed back to the new apprentice, the short medicine cat nodding. "Just like your littermates, you will need to know the territory too. I will show you around, and we can look for herbs while we are out." She meowed, flicking her tail for Jasminepaw to follow her.
Webwhisker listened to Leafblaze and Rowanbranch speak, feeling slightly uncomfortable at watching two cats she was so close to deal with the pain of moons before. She relaxed when their conversation drew to a close, and after a moment of hesitation, she pressed her nose to her aunt's shoulder. "It's mutual, Leafblaze." She purred.
Vulturesight had watched the newly named warriors from the corner of the crowd, and he supposed he ought to give his congratulations to Gingersplash... And the others. The skinny gray tom slowly padded to the small group, moving to stand a tail length from Gingersplash. "So you made it." He commented, not being able to help a little bit of snark. "Congratulations."

( 𝔯𝔞𝔟𝔟𝔦𝔱𝔣𝔯𝔬𝔰𝔱, wanna do something with pebble? She’s nearly old enough to be a warrior but I’d like to do something with her first! Something to make her earn it :3 ) Leafblaze gazed at the kits as well, but could feel the change in moods in her mate. I want to speak with you first, before I decide in front of the clan.” Thunderheart looked towards Leafblaze, finding it difficult to meet her sharp eyes. “Let’s go on a walk. Some fresh air will do you good after spending so much time in the nursery.” The Tom turned, standing and calling the kits, “Wrenkit, Eveningkit, Jadekit! Stay put and stay out of trouble. Your mother and I are going on a walk. You better not cause any trouble for the elders!” (Thought, should the kits sneak out and follow, overhearing them? I’m down for whatever.)

(Yeah, Slitherfoot knows Moss pretty well, so I think she'll notice the animosity, but she'll probably ignore it and let them sort it out. :3) Slitherfoot looked around for Mosspool at Jasminepaw's question - she had hoped that her friend would go with them on the apprentice's first day of training, since she planned on giving Mosspool training responsibilities as well - But she saw the black she-cat's tail as she slipped into the medicine den. "Congratulations." Leafblaze felt a flash of relief and care for her neice, and she nodded quietly in grateful acception. She turned back to Thunderheart and to her kits as she mewed. “We will not be long.” Gingersplash turned to look at Vulturesight with a snort. “As if it was ever a doubt. I’ve been ready for a while now. The only thing now is to show you how easily I’ll progress right past you.” She snarked right back.

Jadekit was instantly curious, and was about to exclaim her frustration at being kept out of a secret, but Eveningkit, clever as always, cut her off and gave a meow of understanding. “Okay! We’ll be really good!” Inwardly though, he knew he was just as curious, but he decided being sneaky about it would bear the answers they wanted.

Thunderheart lead the way, shouldering his way through the camp entrance. Glancing back over his shoulder to check for his mate, he headed in the general direction of twolegplace, assuming no other clan cat would disturb them. Wrenkit looked at his siblings once their parents had left. “Where are they going, do you know?” Leafblaze followed quietly, eyes flashing with turmoil and heaviness as she looked at Thunderheart, the tom she had fallen for when she had never expected to. Her closest companion, the only cat she had felt as an equal. The one who would surely hate her for what she was probably going to choose. She took a breath, eyes trailing in the direction of twolegplace. Were her followers still together, still alive? Eveningkit shook his head. “No idea. But clearly it’s secret and important, so if we wanna know, we gotta be careful and sneaky.” “Ooooh! Like a mission.” Jadekit nodded with anticipation.

He meowed.

Thunderheart sighed and slowed his pace to a leisurely stroll. “You’ve come to a decision, I assume?” He meowed, trying to hide the apprehension in his voice.

She padded towards the older tom and gave a flick of her tail. “Now I can go on patrol or hunts with you when I please.”

We shouldn’t hide stuff, right?” Eveningkit nodded firmly, taking the lead as he quietly slipped towards a less crowded spot in camp to sneak out from. Leafblaze paused, eyeing Thunderheart as she swallowed and replied. “I...Surely you know, how much I love you, and our kits. But surely you must also have seen by now that the contentment I had hoped to feel again back in Sunclan...I cannot feel it the same. Oh Thunderheart, she haunts my dreams and scars my pelt, and I have to hide why I bleed all over again. And out there?” She looked towards the twolegplace. “There are no medicine cats or stable codes or kin or clans to protect the cats in need. There is something there that...that I realized is my true purpose. I cannot undo the past, and no matter the clan’s words, I know I can never erase what I’ve done. Thunderheart, nothing destroys me more than to have to choose...”

You should just think a little longer.” He began to stammer, immediately regretting suggesting them taking a walk. Wrenkit scampered after his littermates, slipping out of camp quietly. “I-I smell momma! We can follow them!” He squealed in excitement.
