(I am here as well! And the shear fact I have so few human characters is staggering. Eveline, Percival, and Alison are free. That's vampire, vampire, human. With a ratio of one human to everyone else. Eveline and Alison's just a two-bit side characters anyway (for now? Can really never tell who takes center stage at any given time), but they make good filler. )

Misty ((Okies!)) Mariana silently walked along the street, slowly and carefully as she pushed a hand against her side from the wounds she received prior. She was dragging herself basically, loosing her balance as she made her way down the streets. When I get my hands on him.. She angrily thought to herself. Her breathing was deep as she was working to keep herself upright. It was rather painful-no it as painful! mintedstar/fur🦇((I can thrown Noir somewhere if ya want then just see where it goes from there.))

Misty ((*throws a toy husky* I replied. Before you forget and never reply, reply! LOL )) ((But hey you picked that major.)) ((If it makes you feel any better. I'm a history major, and I needed a lab; so I signed up for a summer science program with Biology in mind. The issue is that everyone too applied and the class filled. I picked Geology as my second option *nope* full. That left Chemistry)) ((How they ended up dividing us was simple you see. They went through our records and checked our math classes. Anyone that had College Algebra + was shoved into chemistry. Anyone as simple math was bio. Then in the middle geology.)) ((Guess what?)) ((I'm bad at math, I failed it in high school. But being so determined to prove a math teacher wrong, I retook the class I failed and went higher in my courses all in one semester. So poor history major me got stuck in chemistry.) ((The best part? It was also a physics class!)) ((So while everyone took one subject. We (9 of us) got stuck with Chemistry/Physics. Boy was that a wrecking experience. Two months to speed through two textbooks. Four hours classes/Four days a week. It was bad. But we did have tutoring! Thankfully... we were ALL struggling)) ((Also, reply Misty :3))

(I know I did, but I don't like physics xD I'm a forensic science major, not a physics or engineering major. One of my upper level chem classes requires the calculus based Physics 2 class, so I had to take the calc based Physics 1 class plus Calc 1 and 2. I didn't mind Calc because I understood it, but physics is harder for me to understand. Heh, I'm going to bed xD I swear I'll reply tomorrow, er, later today because I'm tired and need sleep.)

How long ago was that? o/ )) mintedstar/fur🦇"So this is that place.." Noir blinked now, squatting down to take a look at the cement before him. Jake had told him something about a stabbing taking place, but he hadn't imagined it to have been this messy. The stains were still new, and the evidence of a struggle was evident against the fence, and lightpole. "No deaths; unfortunately... but still good I guess." He softly muttered to himself, tempted to reach out where the stains of blood marked the ground. No....No...No... He held himself back. it wasn't a necessity rather his curiosity. His appearance was rather shabby, hair was messy all over the place. His light blue buttoned shirt was completely ragged, and he carried a guitar case around his back. His hazel eyes scanned the scenario, "This is seriously asmall town for this scene to have not been sealed off yet." He shrugged.

Auransky (Did realized you posted, whoops! cx ) They'd told her that there had been a stabbing. 'They' being several different people, including one of the medical staff. It was just one of those towns. Everyone knew everyone and when something happened they relied on each other. Which had always bugged Eveline, because when they found out who that arsonist was (they had to find out sometime) then everyone would be standing up and saying 'But I know them and our Jamie would never do such a horrible thing like that and ...' In the end it would be like running in circles. Which surprised her doubly to learn someone had been stabbed! And someone who'd lived here for a while! What was happening to this town? The last drama she could remember was when Tom had left town. That had been almost forty years ago and, well, that had been before she'd been in this business. She'd been an idiot back then. He'd been a worse of one. But still, that had been the last time something so serious had happened. There were always incidents, but everyone always saw it coming. Back roads. Didn't it always happen in back roads? She looked at the address she'd scribbled down. More out of habit than anything else, since she'd roughly known where this road was. It looked pretty normal, really. Not a place that friends or even strangers would really meet up on. It wasn't like she could make any assumptions just yet, but, well, it was impossible not to. She breathed in, taking in the cold air. But snow was on the ground and that always deadened scent. She doubted she'd find anything by the way of human scent by doing that. "Pounding the pavement it is," she said with a sigh. Her ears picked up Noir's comment a second before she rounded the corner and saw him. The scene was pretty evident, of course, but she tensed as soon as she saw him. For starters, she had no clue who he was and secondly, that comment hadn't exactly been a graceful one. "Excuse me?" she asked, voice loud enough that he would hear even if he was a bit deaf. It wasn't an accusation or a request to repeat, but just something in between.

( Auransky Look, I’m replying like I said I would!) After his rather interesting day at work, Elliot wanted to do nothing but relax. For him, that meant taking a quick run around the neighborhood. It was a good way to stay in shape, and it usually helped him clear his head. He quickly changed into some athletic clothes before heading out on the run. He didn’t make it very far down the street before seeing someone else. It wasn’t uncommon to see people out while he was running, but it was unusual to see them hurt. Cautiously, he approached Mariana. “Hey, are you alright?” That was when he saw the blood on her side, and his face paled as he swore.

mintedstar/fur🦇 Noir, ran a hand through his messy out of place hair. He clearly needed to brush it, well if it actually mattered. His boss cared less about how he dressed, so long as it wasn't inappropriate. On top of that he was productive, producing results when tasked. He herd a voice, coming from behind, but he didn't pay it too much attention-at least not at first. He waved a hand, keeping his back to her as he slowly stood up from where he knelt, "No need to worry, no ( v)one died here." He said, placing his hands on his hips to stretch his back upwards. He yawned shortly after, indicating he was tired; I need a nap... then again I always want a nap. He casually turned noting that the voice behind him was clearly still there. "Besides, ( v)why are you looking for death in plain daylight?" He spoke carefully trying to keep a clean dialect, but every now and then a thick v like tone would be applied to a few words indicating that English was probably not his first language. Seeing Eveline, he blinked stumbling back, "Pardon" He blinked now, "Apolo(oo)gies I thought you (v)were dead." he bluntly stated, his words slowing down the closer he reached the end of his sentence. No she is dead? He leaned off to his right, giving Evaline a rather odd stare, "Are you dead?" He thought aloud. "Or was someone really close to you, recently?" Misty ((or did you remind yourself before you forgot? *inserts conspiracy music* )) Mariana was so occupied thinking of a million ways to kill a werewolf, that she didn't sense Elliot approaching. Nor his voice-she zoned him out completely it was rather what he was in her face that she cluelessly blinked. "I-I'm somewhat alright." She commented in response, taking in a long breath. "I just took an unexpected turn is all." She honestly replied, "But I should be fine after a good nights rest." She replied, on the inside she was screaming to the fact that someone came close without her knowing; a human of all people!

AuranskyEveline's mouth opened just a little, gaping. For starters, she got even before the first sentence that this guy was a bit on the odd side. She hadn't been worried that someone had died here, she was worried about why he was here! "I wasn't," she almost spluttered. "Looking for death. I was here because a friend of mine told me someone had been stabbed. I'm from the local paper." She put that out there like it was a shield or permission form to hide behind. "And do you expect me to go looking for it at night or something? It's plain daylight or stumbling around in the dark." Well, no. She could see in the dark. But this random guy didn't need to know that. She stiffed totally when he seemed to do a double take when he looked at her properly. What in the would? What did he mean 'I thought you were dead?' That sentence wasn't just odd. Was this guy mad or ... Well, she was more inclined to jump to the conclusion of mad. It made her feel better, because this guy was just throwing things at her way too fast for her liking. "What," she said, slowing down her own words so she could screen them before she said something stupid. "Are you talking about?" Her eyes flashed and she looked Noir up and down, as if studying him. Her posture was still a bit stiff, but she figured taking it all a bit slower would be easier. She was not going to answer any sort of questions until she knew what this guy was. She wasn't Tom, who would have given up the ghost of discovery far before this. She was going to hang on a bit longer, since she wanted to be absolutely sure this person didn't have anything to do with the scene around them. "And who," was what she added, voice suddenly draining of tension and breaking into an almost conversational tone. Even if it did contain a loaded question. "And who are you?" (That accent is the best.)

mintedstar/fur🦇Noir leaned slightly to his left, with a brow raised. Perhaps he was curious to her response, or perhaps he was unsure on how he should be responding period. "A local pap(a) er.." He softly spoke out briefly glimpsing at her notepad. "I assume it has a small staff?" He returned his full attention towards Eveline, sliding one foot behind him a bit to lean back on. "And (v) this paper covers local news through paper, or digital articles?" He asked leaning his head back a bit with wonder. interesting...He couldn't help but ruffle with his hair, "(V) Well, considering it is a small town, I would consider night to be safe, no?" He shook his head now reconsidering what he just said. "May(v) be a team that works at night." He crossed his arms now considering the possibility. "May(v) be not to get all the information, but rather an introduc(s) tion to (s) the(e) situation." He suggested now in considerate thought. He fell silent briefly, to take another look at the ground before turning his attention to the fence in the back. There were several dents, indicating force. In silence he walked away from Eveline, getting close to the fence, "Clearly a strong foe.." He commented as though Eveline's question was never herd. "However, there is an issue." He hovered a hand lightly along the fence, "The damage to the fence, the ground, and (v)the light pole do not add up." He addressed a bugging concern. Now he turned his head to see Eveline with a minor smile, "My name is Noir Kalaraja" He returned to Eveline's question. "I am a newer locale to this(z) town. My daughter had a blood transfusion recently, for the time being we are not allowed to travel while she recovers. Hence we move here, a small town which is rather parfait for her." He smiled now, walking over to the light post. He explained who he was, and why he was here in town, but not as to why he was here at this spot.

AuranskyHere now!)) "Mostly through paper," said Eveline with an almost sigh, since this guy - Noir - hadn't really answered her vague question as well as she would have liked. "Though we do have a small online base to catalog the older papers and when it concerns the outside world. Small staff, yes. Otherwise I wouldn't be running about out here." She shrugged a bit at the question whether night was safe or not. "There are fires all over town and apparently there was now a stabbing. I'm not going to have my staff running around at night to try and find answers. No matter if there were casualties or not." Was that all just luck? No one had ever died. Not in the fires and not here. How was that working out? It seemed far from likely to be dumb luck. The suggestion that there should be a team that worked at night just had her raising an eyebrow with a 'yeah, really?' thought behind it. She didn't know whether he was hinting at something or whether he just had a one-track mind. "I know it doesn't add up," she said. It wasn't like she hadn't looked around. "Why? Did you have any theories?" A name was all he was giving her but she wasn't actually going to supply hers. She wasn't even sure if she'd intended to continue onward with the 'conversation' without supplying it, because that was just how it ended up. She didn't ask why he was here. She'd explained her reasons, but not her name. He'd give a name, but not a reason. Maybe it was a fair trade off. "Alright," she said. "Was it a friend of yours?" She pointed at the bloodstains.

mintedstar/fur🦇This Eveline person didn't seem to happy with him. Was she against his English? Was it because he wasn't a true local? Is it a local thing? He cleared his throat now, speaking slowly and carefully to hide any accents or pronunciations that may sound off. Just like that, Noir's concerns don't match the situation xD"I see I see." He slowly paced himself to speak more clearly. "The safety of a team is the upmost important priority." He acknowledged. "And with abnormal fires this raises red flags which is completely off the scale from fire zone areas around the world." He paused briefly to walk around the scene once more, she was probably eyeing him too. "I might have a few theories, but there are a few things still missing from this scene to even calculate a theory." He replied towards her question. "I do not know the individual involved, but my supervisor asked me to come check this out. With my experience in puzzling scenes, he was hoping for me to find something or anything to conclude if this is related to the other incidents of concern at hand." He admitted further, elaborating on her earlier questions. "While a struggle is clear, there is still a few things missing in plain view. The snow doesn't help either." He added now, backing away from the scene a bit to provide Eveline some personal space.

AuranskyThe change in accent elicited a frown from Eveline. Why had he done that? She'd been able to understand him before. Or was their a reason for doing so that she wasn't aware of? If anything, she was more wary now. Wary and confused. It wasn't like he was telling her anything she didn't know. It was just a rephrase of what she was thinking. He was right, she was eyeing him. Trying to figure him out and generally failing. She had no idea what sort of knowledge this man had that she did not have available to herself. She knew the name of one of the individuals involved, but the damage done to the scene was a little ... off. He was right there. Her eyes flickered over it, picking up information but giving away none of it. "And this person who wants you to look into this," she asked, almost a little too offhandedly. "What other incidents were worrying them?" The fires might be a little obvious, but even then, this guy was a bit eyebrow raising. It made her think of when those police officers had come to question her. Asking odd questions about the fire. Like she knew something.

mintedstar/fur🦇Hmm? I'm practicing my English and she seems to not like it.. Noir blinked slightly turning away to let his gaze wander around their surroundings. "S-Sorry.." He stated out of the blue. "When I talk to Americans, I like to practice my English to make it more authentic." He carefully spoke in response with the need to justify his actions. Maybe it made him sound more suspicious, but it was his inner need to perfect his English when given the opportunity. Even if it came at a cost of weariness. "My supervisor believes this can be a potential link to the fires." Noir replied again towards the thought. "While there is no official link to these fires, it seemed odd for this incident to occur the same night as a fire. Perhaps accomplices who got into a fight, or a completely different affair landing on a coincidence." He raised a hand, waving his index finger swiftly in the air. "Whether these fires be random, or a collective effort that is aiming for something. Either way, all details big or small should not be left alone."

Auransky"You don't need to say sorry," said Eveline. "I just wasn't sure why you were when I could understand you, that was all." She really didn't care if he practiced his English with her or not. But she'd take his word for it for now, since she had no reason to doubt the statement. "I don't see how assault could link to arson," Eveline said, placing her hands behind her back. "But I can't say that any other theories are being proposed." Noir was right. It seemed odd that yet another occurrence that was out of the ordinary would occur in this town without some sort of warning signs. "So," she began to question. "Why didn't you check on this last night?" Since he'd question why she hadn't. "And do you notice anything ... odd ... about the force of the signs of the attack?" Once again she was fishing for how much information Noir knew.
