I'm bored, and I would like to roleplay to pass the time. I don't have any plots in mind and I'm not too picky about general plots/topics, but I really don't do fandom roleplays. My only requirement is that replies are a solid paragraph at minimum, but feel free to type more than that ^^

(Hey Minted ^^ Of the things you listen, I think I would prefer fantasy or paranormal.)

(That works for me! I have a few vampire OCs, as well as a fallen angel on? Anything that would work with them? Or I have two that can be adapted into anyone/anything?)

(My vote is for vampires because I freaking love vampire plots)

( As I know. As do I. Alright. Now you get to choose between Tom and Eveline or my fire-bug of an OC Percival. xD I have more of a muse for Percival right now, to be honest.)

(Then I'll choose Percival. I'd give you some options, but I have no idea who to offer up because I don't know where this plot is going to go.)

(Well, I usually start with Percival near a burning building. It's just generally his style. Would you like to have me start and see from there or something? I have this thing about not being very good at plotting, sorry. ^^ )

(Burning building... I don't think I've seen that before xD I don't know if I want to go with a human or a vampire character. Not having an idea for the plot doesn't help though, and I'm partially to blame for that.)

(Yeah. What I get for having a pyromaniac vampire OC. Goes with the territory. Well, hum... How's this: I had a plot going with someone else where Percival worked for the police force that was investigating mysterious fires. Which happened to be his own. He'd end up leading them away from the actual truth as he worked to protect himself. ??? Just an idea. -.- )

The fire had nearly burned out by the time Percival had changed clothes. He sighed as he walked toward it, hands in his pockets. "And the fire fighter when you need them are?" He asked no one in particular. The comment was just for show anyway. His clothes no longer smelled of smoke and ash and instead were plain clothes that wouldn't be out of place for a normal business man. He leaned against the low stone wall that surrounded the house and looked at the broken and charred beams as if he'd seen it all. Which he had. Many times. Sometimes while holding the match. A few passers-by stared, but this wasn't the first fire in as many weeks and it wouldn't be the last. Percival reached into his pocket, pulling out a phone and dialed the police station...again. He knew that they probably wouldn't pick up, since he had a lot of them looking at the burned out shell of another building across town, but just in case someone was still around, he called anyways.

(This took me way longer than it should have RIP)
“Someone, shut that damn phone up,” Elliot grumbled to himself, flipping through a case file for the fire that seemingly started the string of fires in the last few weeks. The adult slammed the file shut, picked it up, and held it under his arm as he stood to answer the phone. “Police department,” he answered, holding the phone between his shoulder and ear as he opened the file again to look at it. He could maybe buy the first fire as an accident, but he didn’t believe that every recent fire was an accident. The fire department’s arson specialist had confirmed that for him, but it didn’t put his mind at ease. He closed the file as the person on the other end of the phone began speaking to him, deciding to only be distracted by one thing, his thoughts, as he spoke. Elliot was itching to get the results of the evidence back so they could continue the investigation.

(I had to go eat. ^^' )
"This is the second time I've called," complained Percival. "And I turned up before the fire department this time. Can you see the smoke from there?" These three sentences rattled out of his mouth, disjointed and a little hoarse, just like his usual mannerisms. He tilted his head a little, balancing the cellphone on his shoulder as he leaned forward and unlocked the gate in the stone wall. "If your the only one there Elliot, I will not be impressed. I know it's my own fault for sending a lot of the on-duty officers over to Old Johnson's place, but I'm going to need someone other than myself for crowd control. There aren't a lot of people here, but vacation homes don't usually get a lot of people in the Winter." He grimaced. "At least these fires haven't turned up any deaths yet, but it really is only a matter of time."

(It’s fine ^^)
Elliot didn’t have a valid excuse for why he didn’t answer the phone the first time it rang, so he didn’t bother giving Percival one. “Fire department? Smoke?” he asked, not knowing what the other man was talking about. Now curious, he walked toward a window while still on the phone – Why haven’t we gone cordless yet? – and stuck his fingers between the blinds to push them out of the way. He did see smoke in the distance, so he stepped away from the window, already anticipating what Percival would say next. He rolled his eyes at what he was told, knowing it wasn’t his fault that he was one of the only few officers at the station. Elliot bit his tongue so he wouldn’t say anything he might later regret (and that might get him in trouble). “Get some of the firefighters to help you when they get there,” he answered. “They’ve gotta be on their way already, so they’ll get there before I can.” That is, if he left the station before the end of his shift.

(Ate, came back, was bombed by alerts. @.@ )
"Because there's another fire," said Percival, the unsaid 'idiot' part at the end of that sentence still conveyed. He tapped his fingers against the stone wall as he started walking along it. He didn't get near the burned out husk of the building, it was still hot and he didn't want to risk it. Vampires still burned in fire, the same as humans. Possibly worse. "Yes, I would," said Percival with forced patients. "But then I also would have called the Fire Department instead of you, now wouldn't I? But I called you, so isn't it kind of obvious that I didn't need the Fire Department's help? Must I spell it out over the phone?" Clearly he did, since the hints he'd dropped weren't making it. "Elliot, if the rest of the officers are on the other side of town, isn't it just a little convenient that the fire started here? That case file I know you're carrying around right now...I need it. And I need someone other than myself out here."

(We’re like five posts in and they’re already annoyed with each other and I love it xD)
Elliot rolled his eyes, having figured out that there was a fire based on Percival’s questions and what he had seen when he looked out the window. Forgive me for trying to solve my case, he thought as he held his tongue again so he wouldn’t respond to the unspoken insult. “Listen to me,” he said, now holding the phone between his hands. “I’m not an arson investigator, and I know that any one of those firefighters would know more about how to handle the scene than I would. Hell, I’m not even a CSI or one of the officers that first responds to any sort of crime scene, so calm yourself down.” He let out a breath as he held the phone by his side, knowing he needed to keep calm. “Look, the only thing I’ll be any good at down there is securing the scene.” Elliot paused, thinking over what Percival had just said. Now that the vampire mentioned it, it was convenient that there was a fire on the one side of town when most others were on the opposite side of town. And even more convenient that you’re the one reporting it. He instinctively held the file to his chest, knowing there was no way it would leave the station. “I can be there as soon as possible if you really need me there,” he finished, not mentioning the file because it was going to stay in the building.

(Yep. xD I do as well.)
"Yet I don't have the CSI either," snapped Percival. "I'm stuck with you who I know is still holding a case file dedicated to these fires. So excuse me if I think you qualify." Even he knew that it was odd for him to be here when most of the other officers were on the other side of town. But he actually had an alibi for this. He also knew that some progress was going to need to be made on this case, sooner or later, or some of the higher-ups were going to start breathing down his neck. He didn't need that type of attention. The fires couldn't stop, so he couldn't frame anyone. Not yet. He'd just have to continue to rely on his own head to get him through this. So far, it hadn't failed him. He could get himself into the most ridiculous set-ups, and if he couldn't play for time, then he found a way out. There hadn't been any deaths yet. The vampire just needed the fires, not actual dead bodies. But he wasn't afraid to consider the idea. If that's what needed to be done. "Yes, I need you here Elliot," he snapped.

You need to calm yourself down, he thought as he pushed a hand through his hair. Elliot was half-tempted to hang up on Percival right then and there because, quite honestly, the vampire was beginning to push him over the edge in the less than five minutes he had been talking with him. “And I’m stuck with a pain in my butt,” he mumbled under his breath, making sure to cover the phone’s mouthpiece so Percival wouldn’t be able to hear him clearly. “Look, I’m on my way now, and I’ll be there as soon as I can. Now, when I hang up, you need to get talk with some of the CSIs and get them down here, because like I said, I will not be much help to you down there.” He moved to hold the phone between his shoulder and ear again as he went to safely lock the file in desk. “And get that arson investigator down there too,” he added before handing up and grabbing his jacket from the back of his chair. As he walked out of the station, he zipped it up and stuck his hands in his pockets to keep warm in the cold weather. Some of Elliot’s blonde hair had fallen into his eyes again, but he didn’t want to push it away if it meant that his hand would get cold.

You could stop sitting on it then, thought Percival, smirking, hearing every single word, well aware that he was bugging Elliot. One good turn deserved another.
He hung up the phone, having no intention of calling either the CSI or the arson investigator. The CSI didn't need to know and the arson investigator already did. So basically he was stuck walking around the burned out shell of a Summer vacation home until Elliot got there. There was no need to look for evidence, since he hadn't left any that would point to him. Basically, it was just his actual presence here that needed to be explained, but from what he had planned that wouldn't be a problem. Why, if you could ever get the answer out of him, did Percival light fires? It was much riskier for him than a human, what with fire being a common weakness for vampires, which just made it all the more strange. So why? Well, there really was no why you were going to get the answer out of him, so nice try. Move along now, you probably had better things to do than waste your time. Percival leaned against the stone wall, yawning, as he watched another curl of smoke rise into the air. A fire truck finally pulled up as he waited and by the time the fire had completely been put out and everything had been dealt with by the fire department, the vampire was dead bored and honestly tired of waiting. Elliot had better have brought that file. Or Percival was going to break into his own workplace to get a look at it.
