"You'd have to rid the room of the musty curtains and ancient seating. Clearing it out would almost be more work than it's worth." Charlotte said, remembering the oppressive heat and massive amounts of clutter from the one or two times she'd entered the room with friends who attended the class. "I've always loved Muggle Studies, and I never had a whole lot of trouble with Charms. That's part of the reason I'm not as stressed about missing the class as say, History of Magic. That would be a disaster to miss. I almost wish I hadn't taken it this year, but I might need it later," Charlotte shrugged. She'd just recently begun to consider a job at the ministry. She'd always hated the bias against halfblood and muggleborns she'd grown up around, and she was starting to realize it might be something she could combat. And history was always important when you were trying to change government, because it could tell you what hadn't worked before, and give you an idea of what to try now.

She'd always hated the bias against halfblood and muggleborns she'd grown up around, and she was starting to realize it might be something she could combat. And history was always important when you were trying to change government, because it could tell you what hadn't worked before, and give you an idea of what to try now. Another bright laugh as Allelujah thought about the task of clearing out the Divination tower. All those curtains and cushions and collections of scrolls and books. Not to mention the fact of even redoing it all to become a Potions classroom instead. Allelujah smiled and shrugged gently, "Perhaps I'll have someone else do the work for me." she murmured lightly before looking over and listening to what Charlotte had to say on her favorite subject. Muggle Studies. Lulu thought the topic interesting enough, though had never truly excelled, remained an average student in the subject. Though Charlotte seemed excited about the topic. "History of Magic." Lulu repeated softly with a roll of her eyes, "I despise that class." she huffed lightly then and flicked back some of her hair, "So many old names and dates and events to remember. And they all sound the same to me!" she laughed a little and then nodded in agreement, "But, like you said, we might need it later." Soon they arrived at the lakeshore, the flat grassy areas before it turned to beach were always nice, never too crowded here.

Charlotte continued until she was as close to the lake as she could be without entering the area the giant squid normally reached. She was still a few feet from the edge of the sand, more than enough space to lay out on the grass. Then she spread out her robe, not even beginning to worry about the dark fabric getting stains. Charlotte down, then turned back to Lulu. "Do you want to join me? There's more than enough room, and then you don't have to worry about grass later," she offered, gesturing towards the open space beside her on her robe.
(Sorry this is short, and super late, I had a really busy day today, and I'm pretty tired.)

(You're fine Lily!)
Allelujah smiled and stretched herself out, her arms over her head and then to each side. Smiling and taking her bag off of her shoulders and nodded and settled into the ground next to Charlotte. Crossing her legs and adjusting her skirt Lulu went back to her bag and pulled out a small stash of snacks. Cauldron cakes, jelly slugs, and licorice wands. Nodding to Charlotte she motioned to the snack pile, "Help yourself, I've still got my stash back in the room as well." she smiled before taking a licorice wand for herself. Smiling out towards the lake she let out a happy sigh and nodded, "This was a great idea, Char!" she chimed brightly, using the nickname from their years together.

Charlotte picked up a Cauldron cake and took a small bite, cradled the rest in one hand, and looked out across the lake surface, watching the wind ripples and bubbles from the creatures hidden in its depths. "Yeah, the breeze is nice. It's almost the perfect day to take a nap, if I wasn't worried about missing my next class or getting a sunburn." Charlotte was quiet for a few moments, just enjoying the day. Then she jumped slightly, reaching for her bag and saying. "I got a new deck of exploding snap cards the other day, be could play a round or two. Or I also have a muggle deck of cards from Muggle Studies. I could teach you a game or two."

(Hi Lily!)
Lulu nodded happily in agreement as she reflected on the day as well. It was truly a rather marvelous day out. The sun shining above and the slightest bit of a breeze helping to keep it from getting too terribly warm. "The sunburn would probably be rather uncomfortable for sure." Lulu replied lightly before taking another bite of her licorice wand. Sighing gently she tipped her head back and closed her eyes for a moment before Charlotte jumped brightly. Opening her eyes and looking over to her classmate she arched her brow curiously. A smile flicked to her lips and Lulu nodded happily, "I would love to learn some Muggle games!" Lulu took another bite before turning and settling herself across from Charlotte, better to play cards this way then.

(Lily I think Lulu and Charlotte are quite the best of friends X3 I enjoy them together so much!)
(Edit: Also I think That Charlotte and Christian should meet because I feel that the two of them would get along nicely as well.....Charlotte's temper gets her in trouble and Christian just rolling his eyes and tugging her away to calm herself, Charlotte trying to get Christian to break his calm and cool demeanor and make him burst out laughing or something like that......I'm just here fawning over fake characters and pairing them up because I'm a hopeless romantic......)

Charlotte smiled, and rifled through a few different pockets in her bag before pulling out the muggle deck of cards. "Give me a second," Charlotte said, setting the deck in front of her and pulling two more items from her bag, her wand and the rules sheet she'd gotten at the last class. Then she cast a card shuffling spell on the deck, watching as the deck flew through the air and resettled in a new combination. "Do you want to try Go Fish, War, or Spit? I've got the rules for all three, plus a few harder ones if we get bored."
(Yeah, they fit pretty well as friends. They're both just really friendly, positive people. Also, I would love to try Charlotte and Christian some time, after we get to a stopping point with her an Lulu. I'm always up for trying a ship.)

We don't just want to cut it with Lulu and Charlotte!) Allelujah listened and watched her quietly, her eyes flicking over the strange cards as they fluttered and shuffled themselves. Very different from their own magical cards that were used. Of course she'd seen some Muggles use them before but had never had the chance to use them in this way. A little giddy, she giggled a bit and shifted excitedly as the cards set themselves back down before them. Looking back to Charlotte she arched her brow and thought for another moment, "Spit sounds like fun!" she happily responded as she tugged her wand from her hair before tying the curly mess into a bun and tucking the wand back into the bun for safekeeping. "How many games can Muggles play with a deck like this?" she asked lightly to Charlotte, who seemed to know quite a bit more about these things than Lulu herself did.

"Good choice. I'll explain the rules after I deal," Charlotte said, dividing the deck into two piles, then dividing her own half into several different piles. "The professor said that there are at least a hundred, but then one of the half-bloods in the class piped up that there are actually more than a thousand, depending on how you count them. I'm not sure if I believe her though. There are only fifty two different cards." She finished dividing her own set, then moved on to Lulu's. She figured it would be faster to divide them, then explain what she'd done, than to coach Lulu's through doing it herself. Setting up was practically the most confusing part.
(Do you want me to explain the rules through Charlotte, or do you just want to have them play and talk to each other? I'm good with either, because me explaining the rules would half be copy and pasting from another website anyways.)

(Sorry that I keep poofing out, I'm working on a work presentation! We can just have them play and talk it out!)
Allelujah watched carefully, interested in how she was shuffling. It was intriguing and interesting that she knew how to quickly sort out this deck. She listened quietly as well to Charlotte's answer to her question. "Thousands?" she murmured lightly as she thought about the possibility of there being that many different cards games for this small of a deck. "They must be quite creative with their card games if there truly are that many different games to play." she laughed lightly to herself as she watched while Charlotte now set cards before her into different piles. She could understand entirely why Charlotte had opted to do this part for Lulu, it would have been quite the deal to explain it all just to get started. Eager to begin, Lulu folded her hands to keep from picking anything up she shouldn't quite yet touch.

Charlotte smiled, then began flipping over the top card in every pile, except for the largest one. "So the point of the game is to get to zero cards before the other person, right? The stacks in front of you are one card, two cards, and so one up to five, and the last stack is eleven cards. As soon as we're ready, we'll put the top card from the eleven card deck on top. Go ahead and flip the top card for your other decks and just put them back on top," Charlotte said, gesturing towards the six piles she'd set in front of Lulu, the largest one a bit to the side.
(You're good, I'm actually about to go eat dinner, so I won't be back for 20-30 minutes anyways.)

((HI sorry i haven't been on i got swept away on a camping trip and only had time to change my status also we could totally throw mycle and lulu together and see what happens :3))
Ari gaped at the audacity. Yes, "fire" had been the first thing to pop into his mind after he heard the "drink and I die" part too, but the next thing that jumped into his mind was how he wanted to sucker punch the stupid knocker into Vanishment. He did not appreciate the irony.
"If you were aware of it to make an OH SO CLEVER riddle you could've just let us in in the first place!" he yelled at it as he followed the girl through the door. He slipped past her so that he could lead her to his dorm, though the smoke leaking through the open door was probably a notable sign.
"So. Know any useful spells?" he panted as he stared through the door. The fire had jumped to the wall and was crawling along his bed. Oh, his poor bed. He rued its suffering especially.

(You're good, I'm actually about to go eat dinner, so I won't be back for 20-30 minutes anyways.) Allelujah listened carefully and watched each of Charlotte's motions to the cards. It took her a moment or two to really grasp what was going on, her eyes flicking over all the piles quietly as she awaited her instructions. It seemed simple enough so far, piles and flipping and moving cards here and there. She could handle that. Nodding happily, Lulu smiled and did as she was told, flipping over the cards as Charlotte had instructed her before setting her hands back into her lap and waiting once more for her directions. Not wanting to mess anything up, she paid careful attention. Lulu was also just thoroughly intrigued by this game and was impressed by Charlotte's knowledge as well.

Charlotte nodded, then began to gesture at the cards as she spoke. "The way you play is by trying to get rid of all the cards in the piles in front of you. In normal play, you can only touch the first five piles, not the larger one. You play cards by placing them going up or down in number or face order, without regard for suit or which direction you've go previously. When you run out of one pile, you can recreate it with cards from the other four piles. When we both get stuck, we each play one card from our sixth pile, regardless of if it matches or not. We one of us runs out of cards, they get to pick which pile of the two they want, then you shuffle them in your deck and start again. I'll discuss anything else later," Charlotte finished, feeling like she should probably stop because she'd already explained a lot.
(Sorry, I went to see a play with a couple friends, then went out to eat afterwards, so I couldn't reply until just now. Just a warning, but I'm going to be on very rarely, if at all for the next two weeks. Yay, band camp. I'll try to be here when I can, but it will be mostly weekends until the 7th of August.)
